Ive only been here at Rockland semester, but Ive loved my experience here so far! Spencer the apartment manager is super prompt at getting out info for us, Ive never waited for more than a day for something to get fixed in our apartment. The amenities are all recently renovated and its actually one of the only apartment complexes that has an indoor pool. The rooms are a little run down, but its really not a bad place to stay for how much you pay.

I am currently living at rockland, and while I have not had too many issues with management and all that, (they have been pretty nice, but I mean literally all apartment managers are.) A lot is broken. I mean we are looking at faulty fridges that have had leaking issues, broken microwaves that will roast one side of your meal while leaving the other side frozen, a toilet seat that will not stay up >.>, the parking lot... destroyed... Like I have hit the bottom of my car twice running into the potholes. the pool and some of the amenities, run down And not working at all. And a few other things that have been... annoying. defiantly not the worth the price you pay. And I do feel strongly that upper management needs to lower there prices or fix these problems.

THE GOOD: Superb manager, Joey is very friendly and available to tenants. Maintenance always came quickly. Good laundry machines. Plenty of space for parking. More than enough bike racks. Comfortable lounge. Well-kept weight room. Very close to the center of campus. Enough storage space for your clothes etc.THE BAD: Not enough cupboard space for food and cooking supplies. There is no airflow or AC so the apartments get hot, especially in the summer (bring a fan). Theres nowhere to study except for your bed.Overall, the price is unbeatable and I was very happy living at Rockland for 2 semesters.

Its a good place to live, good people, great wards, nice pool and hot tub. Its also about a 10 minute walk to the MC on campus so thats especially nice in the winter. There isnt a whole lot of desk space, so if you spread out, maybe bring a small table, and the appartments can warm up in the summer. My personal advice is to avoid living in the apartments with windows or doors to the heated pool, especially in the summer. It was so humid and muggy that we were almost never in the appt. For what is here, its a good price.

I have loved my experience at Rockland. I lived here for about a year. The manager is amazing. He has bent over backwards again and again for me and for other people to make sure that we are happy. The two man apartments are fantastic for brothers or former companions or really good friends. The two man apartment has tons of cabinet space. They provide TVs with Roku and a few TV services. The ward is great too. And Rockland has a heated pool and hot tub which I have people over to use all the time, and a gas firepit and grill, which I also use all the time. They give you credits on this phone app for the laundry and if you run out(which I never did) you can get more from the office. Again, I loved living here. The year contracts and two man apartments are awesome! This is a place that I would recommend to a friend.

I moved here to save money because I thought it was cheap. If you want an apartment where you can save some money, please dont come here. Just look for a place where you can pay $20 to $50 dollars extra, believe me, you will be saving a whole lot of money. I found it difficult writing this review because of Joey (the Manager), who seems to understand the situations on ground. But every case and situation that has taken with his supervisors and boss has never ended well. For the most part, I was warned about moving to this old building, I ignored those advice. Now Im telling my story with a one yea contract that is just starting(God save me). I have never seen an inconsiderate set of people in my life. My contract was for me to pay $248 a month, I ended up paying $311. I know that someone will finish reading this and will still find himself in this dilemma.

In my experience living at Rockland I have enjoyed it thoroughly. The pool was very nice and the pool room had cool chairs so we could fake tan. I could really use a tan right now because it is getting to be winter and I am turning pasty white. Back in Pennsylvania I had a really sweet tan going on and a lot of girls said I looked hot. One girl even ventured out to say I looked sexy. My room mates were all very nice. We also had a great manager who is very understanding. When our bathroom needed caulk it was provided hastily and thoroughly. There really isnt anything wrong with this apartment complex. The commons area is a great socialization spot. And if you dont want to go to the school gym because of the lame dress code, you have a banger gym right in your complex. I like it here a lot.

Oh boy, Rockland. Where do i even start? The place is from the Stone Age. The WiFi feels like the manager is running it from a hotspot on their phone (no Ethernet ports either). The staff was nonexistent the first 2 weeks, not kidding, even on the day of move in you could’ve been homeless and camped out in an apartment for 2 weeks or more if you wanted to. I have noticed other apartments have opened gyms and hot tubs, namely The Cove, and i see people living a quality life at that apartment complex every day on my drive back to the Telestial Kingdom of Rexburg. Rockland continues to screw us over and lie about their “on-site amenities”, but think it’s safe to send a person to do clean checks and visit every single apartment in the complex...sounds like a great containment of the virus, Rockland. It seems they only allow “social interactions” when it benefits their own wallet. Lastly, and my apologies for all who have read this far into my complaining, THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. It is Spring Semester and the advice the maintenance guy gave us, after coming by to inform us of yet another great incentive to living here was, “keep the windows open for airflow.” Great advice, sir. I now wake up drenched in sweat every morning and we haven’t even reached the high temperatures. Save yourself the stress, disgust, and your sanity and spend only $100 more for a place miles better where you don’t feel like you live in a homeless shelter.Sincerely,Disappointed

I started living at Rockland Apartments in September and overall it has been a good experience. It is super close to campus so you can walk there in like 7-10 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Rockland has a nice lounge, an okay weight room (better than none), and even a pool. They have provided free food from time to time, got a new TV and vending machine for the lounge, and many other things. They are even giving us a new TV for our apartment for writing this review. Great costumer service! My one small complaint is the handling of maintenance of our apartment. But I dont think it is their fault. One time maintenance people came and scraped paint off our bathroom ceiling and just left it all over. That sucked. There is also a gaping mud hole in front of our apartment that I wish was fixed but a guy can wish, right?Overall, I would recommend someone here. It has been good. If you are looking at living here, just do it and try it.

First off, they have new management and he is AWESOME. Joey is so respectful and willing to help with anything! Ive lived at 4 other apartment complexes in Rexburg and he is probably the best manager Ive had thus far. Unfortunately, the apartments themselves here at Rockland are not too nice. The furniture is all beat up and old, there is basically NO cabinet space, no AC, the toilet seats dont stay up whilst using it, the tub is very uneven so there is always a puddle in the back, the screens are halfway hanging out of two of the three windows, the pool reeks of chemicals and those chemicals seep into the apartments and get in your eyes and throat, and the parking lot is horrendous (potholes and cracks EVERYWHERE). The price here is outrageous for the what they offer, or the lack thereof. This is the most overpriced thing I have ever paid for. The Manager Joey is the only redeeming factor and the only reason I rate it 3 stars. You can tell he really does his best to make living here comfortable. I hope upper management makes changes soon.

Rockland is a great balance of price and choice. The exterior is nothing flashy and the interior is ok. Some if the kitchen cabinets and appliances are older but work just fine. The upside to choosing Rockland is the variety of rooms they offer. I live in a 2 man apartment and while it is not extremely spacious it is just what I need for some quiet hours of study off campus. (Note: Long story short dont stay here and invest a couple hundred dollars more into a complex where you get your moneys worth. If you want to know why read below.)This review has been long over due. That being said this is a response to the owner who responded to Jake Lewis. Let me just say what Jake said is true and he did not lie in any manner or way. I know this because I lived in the same apartment. Now as to what the owner said about most of the repair being taken care of within one day is a lie because they were not. The only thing that was taken care of within the day of notice was the refrigerator door. Otherwise, all the other things mentioned took a month or more to repair or like Jake mentioned never. The owner did mentioned that some of the things were out of their power such as the cable or mirrors. However, when planning renovations for an apartment complex these are things that need to be taken into account that is what being professional is all about. Mirrors or any other appliances for the complex should have been ordered and made the moment you guys knew you were going to renovate even before any renovations began. Since they were not the owner and management did not hold up their end of the bargain as to what they promised to provide to their residents that semester. As a result, the residents felt cheated out of their money and no rebate or refund of any type was given by the owner. In fact, all of Rexburg Housing only has four maintenance employees for all seven of their apartment complexes. Which for the most part of the semester all four were working at Rockland. This only tells me one thing about the owner(s) of Rexburg Housing that they could care less about their residents and all about their money.By the way, the new counter tops were not new by any means. If they were Id be very surprised because it looked like they took their old counter tops and just refinished them with a weird material that is rough and sticks to everything. Also their cabinets were the oldest and worst cabinets I have seen. I guarantee those are the same cabinets that were installed the very first day this complex was built. So if you wanna be disappointed by all means stay here.

Note: Lengthy review but worth the read.I signed with Rockland because my roommates had told me they had recieved a tour here and it was a decent apartment and great price. Keep in mind they had been told that over the 6 week summer break there were going to be renovations here at Rockland. When we moved in it was a nightmare. I am going to describe everything (in my experience) that went wrong since I lived here this semester. Since the beginning of the semester the fridge door has fallen off twice, we still are missing some baseboards, the first day we didnt have water for the bathroom vanity, one of the bedroom doors fell off once, the dishwasher didnt work for awhile, we were missing more than half of our screens or blinds for the windows, the front door didnt shut completely, we didnt have cable for 2 weeks, the TV wasnt even mounted to the wall when we moved in, and they promised us mirrors at the start of the semester and WE STILL HAVE NOT GOT IT. The semester is over. We have used the mirror I bought at walmart. There is a hole between our bathroom and vanity. The thermastat wasnt hooked up for quite some while. Even with it being plugged in you have to play with it a bit to get it to shut off.Now let me move on to things I dont like. The wifi for starters is terribly slow ALL THE TIME. The cabinets chairs and table are ancient. Cabinet space is small even for 4 people. You have 4 chairs for the apartment but you do not get seperate chairs for the desk. The water pressure for the shower sucks. Here they have 7 washers and dryers for the whole complex and for half the semester 2 of the washers didnt even work.In the end this place is dated and old and because of said renovations they are going to be raising their prices. Do Not Stay Here. Spend the extra couple hundred to get a place that actually is worth what you pay.Oh but they have new carpet.

I wouldnt say it was the worse place, actually not that bad of an apartment. I just had issues with management and the other tenants. Ive stayed at other apartments and I feel that the owners of Rockland were a little inconsiderate. I have several reasons why1. I would clean every single week but because my roomates were messy and never did their cleaning I either One: was threatened to be charged the cleaning convience because my roomates refused to clean or Two: I ended up cleaning the whole apartment even the things that werent my mess so that I didnt get charged. I brought it up with management but basically I didnt get a response back, and seeing that my roomies werent the easiest to get along and refused to pay any sort of respect for others I wasnt getting them to help clean.2. At the end the of the semester I decided I would move out rather than make a fuss, and so when it came time to clean I again did all my cleaning (and more) but because my roommates who were staying yet again refused to take any personal responsibilty our apartment was deem unfit and we were charged a fee and I never received my deposit. Granted this could have all been avoided if I had good roommates, but I was very peeved that the owners werent willing to work with me about this point.3. When I had first moved into the apartment it was very dirty and not what I would have wanted to move into had I known before hand. For this reason I failed to be understanding when it came time for them to charge me where it clearly hadnt been clean before I moved in, and may I add I had cleaned the apartment before I left. For these three reason I wasnt a fan of the owners. I know it is hard to rent out to students and I do appreciate them putting in all the effort they did to make the stay as good as it was.The apartments themselves, like I said before werent bad but were pretty decent for the price. The stoves were outdated and were broken, the microwave didnt work, the vacuum didnt work. There are no lights in the living room. Each thing was eventually fixed but it took a while. The biggest complaint I had wasnt the apartments doing at all, but the community wasnt the most pleasant. Youll find it harder to get to know people over there, maybe it was just me when I was there but it seemed that people didnt want to socialize.Any who I really hope this doesnt deter you from wanting to stay there I just wanted to share my experience. If you do end up staying I sincerely hope that you have a fantastic time :).

Management is slow and dishonest. But good apartment for the price.

Pros:-Close proximity to BYU-I-Close proximity to stores and a short walk to Main Street-Management is willing to work with you-Pool and gym-Spacious lounge-Free laundry-Free haircuts and other goodies and discounts-Decent pricing, with a loyalty discount-Choice of 2, 4, or 6 man rooms-Comfortable beds-Updates to apartments are coming, including extra fridges for larger apartments and new TVs.Cons:-Still two blocks away from BYU-I, and on the side with the least amount of buildings with classes-The complex has been around for a long time, and is very old. Theyve repaired and replaced a lot, but it still needs more work.-Winter conditions tend to be poorer than other areas (usually the walkways outside of the actual complex) and often take a long time to be cleaned up-Apartments arent really that big (a common occurrence in Rexburg, especially for men), especially the bathrooms-No AC for the hot summers-Internet was replaced with a better ISP, but its still very poor and much is filtered out that doesnt need to be (Ive never experienced good internet in Rexburg though)

Lived here for a semester. The apartment we moved into was nothing like the model apartment they showed. It was run down, bad smell, dark, old appliances, and such. The manager was friendly.
