This is review is specifically for Giovanna w/Ammons and Pittman. Every time I am in need of service she definitely responds quickly and efficiently. Services include, basic information, forms that need to be signed, maintenance, etc. It will almost be 2 years as a resident and this woman has went above and beyond on many occasions. She is definitely one of the reasons why my experience w/this rental company has been phenomenal. Many blessings to this young lady and Ammons and Pittman is lucky to have her.

Poor management, poor communication and undesirable rentals!We looked at one of their apartments that we really liked and quickly submitted all the paperwork and paid all the fees. We were told we were the only applicant for that particular apartment. That was obviously a lie because 2 days later we were told the apartment had been rented. They didnt even have the decency to tell us it had been rented. We had to call them and ask. They then proceeded to show us other units that were riddled with mold on the ceilings, rust on the appliances, and just dirty and rundown overall. We believe they used their best looking unit as bait to get us to look at their other units. Im not sure if that good apartment was truly rented to someone or if it is used as their model (bait) to get you to look at their other units. Of course, we cant prove it but we highly recommend you stay away from renting from them. After much complaining, we did get our application fee and background check fee refunded to us . That is the only good thing to say about this whole ordeal!

I have never been more dissatisfied with a rental agency throughout my entire life. Going through college, I often dealt with landlords, and management companies; but no one nearly as unprofessional and untrustworthy as Ammons Pittman. There prime motivation is not to help you find a comfortable home, it is to take your money. My advice? Find someone who you can trust to not nickel and dime you. Please read about my security deposit below.In my case, my lease was broken early because I happen to close on a house. There is a 50% rent charge for breaking your lease – this I understand and cooperated with. However, when my roommates and I did not receive ANY of our security deposit back, it was quite concerning. The first thing we did was simply ask for receipts to the services which Jason Pittman had claimed he used our security deposit on. Our security deposit receipt (in illegible writing) appeared to have deducted money for “Cleaning” and “Electrical Charges”. So, as our lease had told us, we had the house professionally cleaned before move out. We provided receipt of this when we turned in our house keys. Yet Jason Pittman felt the need to charge us additional “Cleaning fee”. Next, the “electrical charges”. Our lease specifically states that any electrical shortages are at the charge of the homeowner, not the tenant. This is not the case, Jason Pittman does not abide by what the lease says. He charges us additional $400 for electrical charges for a fuse that had blown in the garage. When asked for receipts for this, along with the cleaning charges (multiple times we asked) – Jason Pittman could not provide.The truth is in NC that landlords know what they can get away with. Jason Pittman knew without a doubt we were being ripped off but yet it is simply not worth fighting in court over $1000. He has been in the business a long time, he knows what is and isn’t worth fighting for. He is in it to put your money in his pocket.My advice – pick another management company. One you can trust not to make you pay to fix the homeowner’s house.Also worth mentioning: When we moved in, the grass was 2 feet high and it took me about 4 hours to mow it all. This was ON OUR MOVE IN DAY. Our house was far from “ready for move in”. So Ammons and Pittman clearly do not care about making your home comfy and ready, they care about being cheap and saving money.

I have been a tenant for over a year now and I’ve had a wonderful experience. Anytime I call for maintenance which has been well over 5 times they handle it immediately. They are professional and respectful. Keep in mind that people will always take the time to leave negative reviews and rarely go out of the way to say anything positive. I would recommend renting through this company!

We just moved into a property managed by Ammons Pittman. We had a few issues here and there with the property and each ticket we submitted was handled quickly by professionals. We have been happy so far with the quality of service they have provided.

I have never had a property manager respond so quickly. I had a few issues with the house I moved into, and within a few days they were noted and repaired. I moved from out of state and they were able to work with me and get my security deposit via mail. Now I live in a great house in a great neighborhood. Anyone that leaves a one star review is just vindictive and childish.

Told them I was having a kid and needed to get some maintenance. After 5 years of being a good tenant, instead of them taking care of it, they tried to raise my rent. When I said we could negotiate after these issues were taken care of, I was told I had 60 days the leave. Bunch of damn punks and thugs.

Called and explained everything before I even wasted the $50 on the app fee to Jason and then i go ahead and do app . To only be denied because of a CELL PHONE BILL and then he was rude!!FIRST OFF MOST THE HOMES THEY HAVE ARE IN THE POOR BLACK COMMUNITIES PERIOD. I make over the income requirements and was willing to pay double deposit.

I came in last week to get a list of the homes that are available and they were really helpful as well as directing me to their website and YouTube channel. I will definitely be using Ammons Pittman Property management. Keep up the positive energy, I felt very good coming out of your office.

I have used Ammons Pittman for 20+ years. They have provided outstanding property management service for both of my properties. They were also very helpful when I decided to sell my properties. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

This team has been great at managing my property. I dont live close to my property anymore and it has been such a convenience having them there to help if any issues come up. They did a great job of vetting the tenants as well as Ive 0 issues with them. They were recommended by a real estate lawyer and I would recommend them to you as well.

Unprofessional and rude.. Jason Pittman definitely isn’t a people person. He was short rude and heartless, if you a home owner looking for a leasing agent please do your future tenants a favor and don’t use them. If you are a renter, you’re better off finding a different house through a diffeeent company!

Rented from them for many years, and had very few problems. Repairs done quickly, kept up yard. Loved the house, and Jason was excellent. They were very fair and had a good solid team.

Running hundreds of properties is a very hard thing to do. It can be overwhelming. I was very impressed at how attentive Ammons-Pittman was during my five years with them. Jason became someone that I could count on, and always took time out of his day to address whatever needs I had. I had to move away, but I would pick up the phone and call Jason the day I found out I was moving back to Raleigh. Would recommend Ammons-Pittman to manage my property.

Unreasonable, unprofessional and rude.

Overall the company was helpful and fairly quick to respond to my concerns. But, when it was time to renew the lease they told me they had to do their annual inspection and actually ended up showing the house to two teenagers. I found out after the fact that they had no plans to renew my lease and I had to move out... even though I had been a great tenet and didnt want to leave. The fact that they lied and brought strangers to my home felt like an invasion of privacy, and not a way you should treat a tenet.

Jason and his team found me the PERFECT property in 2010, and I have been an extremely satisfied customer ever since !! They are incredibly fast on any service calls that arose, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure I was happy. It has been an absolutely awesome experience and if you are looking for Property Management, look no further than this top notch company ! Thanks guys for taking such good care of me !!

I have been with this company since 1995. In my opinion AP ranks amongst the highest in attempting to accommodate both renters and landlords. After almost two decades, their consistency in attempting to work with me remains unchanged. I had a major problem recently, and the owner George Pittman personally handled it and resolved the problem. One of their agents Mylinda is among the best I have encountered. She is polite, professional and efficient.

Horrible horrible horrible. Ammons and Pittman is in the business of targeting young people and low income people because they think we dont know any better. My roommate at the time was negligent and made us eligible for eviction. I did everything in my power to work with Ammons including constantly calling, email, showing up to their main office, and even seeking out legal help to try and work with them. I ended up having to threaten to report them to the NC Real Estate Commissions Office for them to even call me back. I do not recommend living with them, they are vicious.

I rented from this place for 3 years. The staff person I worked with often times did not put in maintenance requests until I had asked more than once. Upon moving out of the home, we were asked to have the carpets professionally cleaned and provide a receipt. I refused. We lived there for 3 years. Normal wear and tear is expected, but they would like the carpet to look the same way it did when we moved. Not possible. I would never rent from them again.

We rented a home in Falls River for nearly 4 years through Jason. It was a great experience for us!

I used Raleigh Rentals for 13 years to rent my house. They (Jason) always kept my house rented. I did not depend on them for maintenance because I handled that myself. I would use them again without hesitation.

I would not recommend renting from this company. I rented from them for 2 years and found them to be very unprofessional and difficult to deal with. In one instance the system to pay rent online wasnt working and they were unwilling to help get it fixed, so I had to go back and forth with them for days even though I was just trying to make it possible for me to pay them rent. Now after renting from them for 2 years and paying rent early every month, Ive had to hound them to get my security deposit back. NC law says that a rental security deposit is to be returned within 30 days of the end of the lease, and even though they have confirmed that there were no deductions, it is now 50 days since the end of the lease and I still havent received the deposit. I had to follow up with them multiple times to get them to send it out, and Im still waiting to get it in the mail. Do not rent from this company, there are much better options available.

We rent through Ammons Pittman. I had a maintenance request that I felt was urgent. They sent someone out next day and fixed it.

I had been attempting to contact this agency about a rental property they had listed on Zillow and Trulia. I had emailed them and had not had any contact from them after multiple days. I attempted to call the office and request to speak to someone about any properties available and also the one I had emailed them about. I did not have the address written down in front of me. The woman whom answered the phone was extremely unprofessional and rude. She said she did not have the time to speak to me, everything was available online, that I could call back a later time that she had people in front of her and could not wait for me to find the address. After I stated that I would not be calling them back because it seemed she was not interested in assisting with the rental properties, she hung up on me! I will not be doing business with this company.

The office is terrible!!!! It was OK, just OK, not good. But still worked for us. For now, the people work in the office be very rude and unreliable. All of the problems are not their business. If I can give zero star I will do it.

I had panting my home and Clean everything and there is no damage and the management said we need Clean the carpet and they just took my security deposit
