I came to Meghan at PBB to get my eyelashes done and she did an incredible job! Ive had my lashes for 3 weeks now and they still look like a full set. On top of that, I am a runner/sweat daily and the lashes have still held up. The salon is clean and everyone else Ive spoke to there (for example, if I call to reschedule) has always been very kind and accommodating.

They do a very good and quick job with threading eyebrows. I am always satisfied when I go.

Dont you dare wake up sick or have car issues on the way - even if youve been going for years and have a great track record of being on time and tipping well.Cancellation policy - 0/5Again, Ive been going here for YEARS and rarely cancel an appt that I made with a new tech there, who had TONS of openings. Recently, during the COVID pandemic, I woke up with what I thought was just allergies but turned into a fever, sore throat, and cough. I physically felt fine to go to my appt, but called to cancel because I wouldnt want to get anyone sick. The lady on the phone explaining the cancellation policy of 50% charge unless its 24 hours in advance. I said, well I wasnt sick 24 hours ago and I could still come but would you want me to? No. She said sorry no exceptions and I was charged 50%. I said fine on the phone but no, it isnt fine. During a pandemic where limited walk in appts are available, this policy is straight up ableist. I understand how frustrating it must be for people to cancel on you as a business owner, but come on. If you get sick within 24 hours of your appt, and you have a good track record of YEARS, there should be an exception. I know this is the policy, but other services that I go to provide this exception if you get sick and youre a loyal customer.Their good brow services dont make up for the bad customer service.

I have been going here for years! It’s a welcoming environment with a lot of services to offer. Hilary has been doing my nails for maybe five years or so and she always does a great job. I love that they use the Vagaro app for online booking and reward point accumulation. This is a female owned local beauty bar.

I got my eyebrows waxed here. Theyre professional and clean, but I think they could improve their customer service. I was a few minutes late (my fault due to traffic and getting lost) and as soon as I walked in and confirmed who I was, they rudely told me I was late. When I tried to apologize and explain, said that I had missed my appointed time slot (apparently only 10 minutes) and would have to wait for the next available appointment 40 minutes later. I had nothing else to do that afternoon so I agreed, but this could be problematic if youre on a tight schedule. When I did sit down to get my eyebrows done they didnt ask what I wanted them to look like, they just started. They seemed upset I wanted my eyebrows waxed instead of threaded. Despite their brusqueness, they did a good job and I was pleased with how they looked and how quick they were.

Pittsburgh Beauty Bar is wonderful. The ladies are very good at what they do. It’s a comfortable setting and welcoming. I’ve scheduled appointments and done walk ins and always leave out satisfied.

I had gone in for the first time today to have my brows tinted. I decided to call just this morning and they were able to get me in within the hour which was so accommodating. As someone who works in the service industry I know this isn’t ideal but they were extremely kind and helpful to get me the appointment. As soon as I walked in I had a smile on my face. The bright pink..everything! made this place one of a kind and very memorable. I had Christie and she did an amazing job. After she tinted my brows she recommended threading next time but I decided to try it out right then instead. It was the best decision I’ve ever made for my eyebrows. I’m very excited to try out more of their services!

Amber did my hybrid lash extensions and they look AMAZING. She did exactly what I wanted. In two days it’ll be a week since I got them done. I’ve had very very veryyyy little fall out. Seriously I’m shocked. I went to another lash salon in the past and was so disappointed. My lashes look good at first, but they didn’t last and I had tons of shedding. Pittsburgh beauty bar is so cute and clean inside. Plus, the ladies who work there are super friendly. Amber was so sweet and informative on lash care. I will most definitely start booking with her regularly! :)

This is one of my favorite one stop salons . They offer everything you could think of. From threading to waxing nails teeth whitening . I have been coming here for about five years now ( there’s a reason I have been coming here for so long) Christie normally threads my eye brows. Which she does sooo good! And I leave looking bomb But I have also gone to fran she does awesome as well. The salon is always very clean everyone is professional and one time! The prices are reasonable. They are up to date with current trends, and all are very knowledgeable! Please give this place a try you will not leave disappointed!

As a last minute decision, my friend and I wanted to try lash lifts and took a chance and tried Pittsburgh Beauty Bar. Were so glad that we stopped in! Both Kelly and Fran were excellent. They were both very personable, knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable about getting lash lifts. Also, the prices were reasonable. I wish I lived in Pittsburgh. I would definitely go back again!

I have gone to PBB for almost two years now. Never have I had an issue till my recent visit about a week ago. Candace was the tech that did my eyebrows (I have never had her before) she was rough on my skin pinched my skin as well as completely removed a patch of skin between my eyebrows. This area has still not healed and I will be very unhappy if it ends up a scar.

The women at this Pittsburgh gem always make you feel welcome. I love getting my lashes and brows done here. Christy the owner is a great leader and it shows through the women who work at PBB.

I have been a dedicated customer with this company for well over a year now you’d think they value their consistent customers but clearly they do not in the past i have been able to cancel a same day appointment with no problem so the one time that my life is hectic and god forbid i forget to cancel my eyebrow they charge me anyway stating i signed some type of 24 hour cancellation policy but then yet again going back to my previous statement i have been able in the past to cancel a same day appointment they have lost a customer for sure

Awesome nail tech, Jessi, arranged for my friends and me to have a private after hours nail party. She and Val came in and did night nails for my friends and me late night: manicures, pedicures, gel and regular polish and massage chairs. We had a blast!! These ladies were so much fun, welcoming and professional. They were completely open to suggestions and offered their expertise. The salon was clean and pretty with lots of selection. We had great conversation and built rapport. Highly recommend Jessi and Val and hosting a private party.

Great staff and service!!! I was running late for my appointment and they were able to adjust my time. Went it for a touch up on my cluster lashes and they look like I got them completely redone. Im so glad I found this place Ill be going back next week to get eyelash extensions, cant wait!!

She is exceptionally good at what she does, she has gained a customer for life! I did Gel on my nails and my toes- never chipped, they lasted three full weeks and really I just had to get them filled because my nails grew out!Parking is easy, the gals at the front desk are super pleasant- If youre looking for a great atmosphere and friendly service- I highly recommend.

I love going to Pittsburgh Beauty Bar for eyebrow threading. The staff are so friendly and personable. I have only been here for pedi and nails. First visit and Val was awesome! She was so friendly and genuine. Val stayed after closing to make sure I left with exactly what I wanted. She is seriously awesome. There’s also a 5 dollar off coupon on Yelp that she told me about which I used at checkout. Will book again with Val for sure.

I used Pittsburgh Beauty Bar for a back and ear wax.Im the kind of guy who likes to take care of himself and originally decided to try it out because I used to get my eyebrows threaded at the mall by one of the workers, Melissa. She always made the experience pleasant and did a great job, so when I found out she opened her own shop and they did waxing, I was on it. The location is super convenient for me since I work downtown.The price was right and the storeis super cool. Melissa did an awesome job. She was super fast, easy to talk to, and made sure she got every hair, just like before. I wasnt able to get threaded this time, but Im looking forward to going back for that in the near future. Im thrilled about the fact that I will no longer have to make trips to the dingy threading place at the mall where everyone and their mother can walk by and see me getting my eyebrows threaded. I very highly recommend Pittsburgh Beauty Bar.

Alex is a fantastic choice. Cheerful, compassionate, and filled with a joyful and kind energy, Alex is very thorough and will take the extra time to hunt down challenging spots. She is my favorite waxer because she always puts me at ease and does a quality job. I really like her work and recommend her highly -- also if you love arts & local culture and theatre (which I love) you will enjoy her music taste!!

This place is LIT!! I just drove 9 hrs from SC to PA for my sisters wedding weekend and I needed a place to do my threading before Friday, it was Wed. I was a little hesitant since I didnt know the area, however Christie was AMAZING!! She was very professional, fast and my makeup for wedding was FLAWLESS because her excellent work! Whenever I am in PA, I will come to her and this is why she deserves 5 stars, if I could give 20 stars I would!!

I love this place! Its very clean and the staff is wonderful. I usually go here to get my eyebrows threaded, however the last time I came here I had a HORRIBLE experience! Christie usually threads my eyebrows, and always does a marvelous job! She keeps them THICK, but with a nice shape which I love. I guess she was busy that day and could not take me, so I let another beautician do my brows. LITERALLY THE WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! The black beautician did a TERRIBLE JOB! I like my eyebrows thick and she made them the THINNEST they have ever been in my life, no exaggeration. I left the store in tears because I could not look at myself in the mirror without being angry. She tried telling me that my eyebrows were naturally thin, which is incorrect. Plus, I look at them everyday so I think I would know how they look on the daily! Anyways, overall a great place but if you need your eyebrows done I would suggest making an apointment with Christie.

Ive been getting my eyebrows regularly threaded here for almost 2 1/2 years and absolutely love it. They are so professional and the salon has added so many new services but still keep up with the quality customers need. I typically go to Christie and always leave with a great experience.

I had a gel mani here a couple of weeks ago, and I was less than impressed! The tech who did my nails was incredibly rude to me at the beginning of the appointment, and barely spoke to me the entire time. It was incredibly awkward, to say the least. I got the manicure on Wednesday, and half of the gel had cracked by Saturday. I will say that they offered to redo my nails when I called. They added structure gel this time, and they lasted two weeks after. I wont be returning.

Wanted lash extensions for the New Year. Lash extensions were applied on a Thursday...by Sunday, 50% of my lash extensions have fallen off my right eye. I’m familiar with lash extensions...I avoided water/steam for 48 hours, didn’t rub my eye, slept on my back...sadly just with a simple blink my lashes would fall off. While at work, while driving, while grocery shopping, even at the dentist office...my lashes continued to fall off. Which is a shame because the lashes initially looked beautiful.

Very disappointed. The quality is poor. My nails are blotchy and streaked. Hilary was very rude to me. She was also very rough with me. Would not recommend her to anyone. I will not be returning. Someone should really have a talk to Hilary about her negative attitude that she has with customers.

Great salon! I had been meaning to try out threading so I got a groupon for a full face threading. If you are on the fence about this, try it! Its rather quick and perfect for my sensitive skin. The staff was nice and my threading was done very professionally. Highly recommended.

The process is extremely strange to be a customer there. You have to fill out a contract concerning penalties you’re first visit if you cancel an appointment, which is a tad bit heavy to have a relaxing nail appointment. I really liked the girl who did my nails but, the paint chipped after one day. The second time I got my nails done, the gel came off after only a week. I ultimately decided not to go back.

I get my eyebrows threaded here regularly and I cant say enough about their qualify of service. The staff is always friendly and they dont send you off until youre satisfied. I also had false eyelashes put on over the summer and I want them back! They looked amazing and lasted 3 weeks.

I got my eyebrows threaded here and I would say... eh... mediocre at best. When I walked in the door I was greeted by one girl who was very nice, although there were several at the desk. I felt pretty unwelcomed from the start. The light-skinned girl did the threading (no one bothered to tell me her name, not even an introduction from her) she spent no time on clean up, upon returning home I noticed A LOT of hair still everywhere(although we had an appointment that I showed up very early for, she had plenty of time to do her work properly). Also, she took too much hair out from the middle... basically the most Important part. Maybe the owner could implement them drawing on the brows so they know where to stop, like the benefit brow bar. I may give it one more shot, because the location is ideal for me. But Im hoping I get someone who puts a little more effort into their craft.

I used to be able to climb the steps to second floor but with my advancing disability Im no longer able. It didnt become a problem until the young lady who did my pedicures downstairs, left. Now, no one will do a pedi downstairs for me. I can no longer patronize this business because there is no handicap access to the facility. Besides the the front steps just to get in, if you want a mani or pedi you have to navigate 2 flights to second floor. Such a shame since they do such a good job.

I went here after seeing good reviews to get a fill done. After an hour and a half of work (not exaggerating), the results are horrible. The polish is extremely streaked and the French tip is not straight at all on most fingers. I actually had a friend who saw them right after say she had never seen anything like it. It is so bad that I am going to have to change the polish myself to cover it up.

If I could give less than a 1 star I would this place was terrible my full set shape was way off asked for coffin I got lord knows what shapes these are I got glow in dark set she put regular acrylic on top of It which you’re not suppose to do cause it fades out the glow in the dark I’m not a nail tech and I even know that was wrong she glued the nails on very oddly and glue was everywhere it’s as if it was her first time ever doing nails and my pedi was so terrible it’s as if a little kid I let do a botch job everything was sloppily thrown together I was there for way longer than expected so I should have gotten way better of a job and for it being my first time not sure how they got 5 stars maybe for the other services but nails and toes beware and actually listen to the 1 stars 🌟 the lady was rude about it when you should satisfy the customer but they seem money hungry maybe they don’t get business cause the poor work doesn’t surprise me so they overcharged any clients they do receive!!!

I visited Pittsburgh Beauty Bar and was fabulously surprised with a terrific experience. From the ease of scheduling, to the amazing Groupon promotion, to the perfect threading done by Franchesca.....all was great! I will visit again and highly recommend the Pittsburgh Beauty Bar! One detail to make note of, the entrance is actually on 25th Street instead of Carson. Parking is limited, but feasible. Give it a try.....I believe that you will be satisfied too~

I went to Pittsburgh Beauty Bat to get a spray tan because Ive heard that getting it done by a technichan is better than the booth. It looks horrible! I waited about 20 hours to shower after getting it done and although parts of my body look even, I am completely splotchy and orange. My feet and hands are so dark as well as parts of my legs. While my chest and other parts of my legs are white and peeling. She also missed about half of my forehead which is now completely white. When I called to ask how to remove it, she just said oops sorry and told me to exfoliate the parts that look bad. I do not recommend getting a spray tan here EVER. Go to a booth if you are in need!

We went here as part of my bachelorette party before my wedding in November. One of my bridesmaids drove me there to meet the other girls, and because of traffic we were late. I’m sure it happens every once in a while but the ladies there were not happy about it at all, and they were not afraid to express their concerns publically. One blonde walked around the entire establishment telling EVERYONE (including other clients) how mad she was that all of their appts were behind because the bridal party was late. This woman lacked any kind of professionalism, and this really affected the entire experience for us. Only the girl who did my eyebrows was nice to us, and she tried to apologize for her coworker’s poor attitude. Unfortunately, we never received an apology from the rude blonde, and because of that I would never recommend this place.
