This is amazingly practical - just walk or drive in and the helpful staff will tell you where to drop whatever you brought - appliances over here, lumber over there, and crushable waste in the on-site compactor truck. Just be aware they sometimes close a few minutes before the posted time.

They took our couch from our college house that we just moved out of. Thank you! Recommend for people in the university city/west Philly area to bring any old items when moving out.

I love this sanitation center! The folks that staff it are always sweeping and keeping it clean. They seemingly always have recycling bins (now with lids!) that households can pick up for free. They are well located for numerous neighborhoods and the staff is always friendly. I havent visited other sanitation centers but I would definitely recommend this one. Thanks streets dept!!
