This was my second time getting my car inspected at Wahls. I just got back home and told my boyfriend for as long as we live near Wahls, I will never go anywhere else. You can tell they care about their work and their customers. They were kind enough to stay open later to accommodate my work schedule; a courtesy not often afforded in this day and age. I had only scheduled an inspection, but inquired about an oil change as well and was pleased to find that they were able to get to that - and they filled my tires for me as well. I feel better on the road thanks to Wahls.
Honest local business thats been around the South Side for much longer than me. Mr. Wahl will give it to you straight and get your car back on the road. If the phone line is busy, just call back. Would recommend!
Ed has great auto services.
Great service. Great prices.
I am more than pleased. This is where I will continue to take my vehicle from this point forward.
Very happy with my service here. I’ve been taking my car to this local garage for over 5 years now. Very honest, reliable, and fairly priced. Highly recommend to everyone, huge asset to the South side and Pittsburgh.
Courteous, skilled, professional and reasonably priced services.
Good service
First time there employees are very nice and efficient.
Have been taking my cars here for years. Small, family owned business in the heart of South Side. I’ve had many friends bring there vehicles in and also be pleased with their service. Honest, hardworking, and well priced. Bring your car to Ed and Anthony! You won’t be disappointed.
Water pump went in truck out of town they got me right in and out
Did a Great job !!
Been going to Eddie since the 90s. Three generations of caring, honest car repair have came through that place and thats the type of mechanic you not only want, but you NEED. Would never take my vehicles anywhere else.
Best place in Pittsburgh. My parents have been going to eddy before I was born an now I go to him. Only guy I trust with any of my 4 vehicles. He and his guys are the best in town. Best prices an honest garage around. Cant say enough good bout this place.
Wife got brakes done today and at the last moment was squeezed in for inspection. Fast and detailed. Wife loves this repair shop and so do I. Don’t know why anyone would ever go elsewhere!
I needed an inspection for my 2002 Subaru, which could have had a lot of flaws, but no such thing. I paid for the inspection, a few light fixes, and a lot of friendliness. He only had 5 star ratings and the ones in my neighborhood had mostly good, but who wants even ONE complaint? Nice folks, excellent service!
Flexible hours but I dont think i got a fair assessment for an inspection. They wanted to tighten the steering column although it wasnt loose. All new tires and rotors? The current ones are old but completely functional.
I didn’t even want give this place 1 star. As I’m reading these great reviews on this place, I can’t understand why my experience was so horrible. Was it because of my out of state plates? Or maybe something else 🤔Idk but I know I took my vehicle to this shop for my outer tire rod to be replaced and the owner said to me it’ll be $130 for one side to be fixed but my other side looked bad too. Then he said for both to be repaired, it would be $310. That was the first red flag, so I get just one side done. When I returned and picked up my car, my doors were unlocked and car was parked on the street. Also, as soon as I pulled off I noticed that any bump I hit, my car would sound like it was falling apart. (This was not an issue prior to my car being looked at by this garage). So when I took it back, the owner took it for a drive only to return to tell me my “Walsh bar bushings were bad” and said it would cost $150. I continued to try to explain to him that my vehicle wasn’t doing that prior but he proceeded to tell me how much it would cost. I went on to see if another mechanic could take a look, they told me that the bushings were fine, someone had simply just not put the piece back in causing it to sound that way. When I returned the owner tried to avoid me and then when I explained that I went to another mechanic, he offered me $50. Well Played by the dude who looked like Mario if he was a mechanic. Definitely wouldn’t trust it.
Really appreciate how nice these guys were. They were able to quickly get the work that needed done with my car and got it back to me within a day. They charged very reasonable prices and for once I didnt feel ripped off for being a young blonde with no knowledge about cars!
Good service at a good price
Ive been coming here for about three years. I find Ed to be an honest mechanic who knows what hes doing and charges a fair price. I dont think theres anything more you can ask from an auto repair shop.
I came here for my state inspection. The guy that helped me out (I think it was Eddie --the boss) dropped me off at home and adjusted my E-brake, fixed a fog lamp, and checked out my master cylinder without any additional charges. This seems like a pretty damn good place to take your car.I will probably upgrade their status to excellent when I get more work done.
Hands down the best mechanic around. Honest, fair great work. Highly recommend
If I could give this guy more than 5 stars I would.Excellent service, flexible hours, and a honest mechanic. Wish there were more like him.
Wanted to voice my last experience at Wahls auto shop.ci brought my car for a starter the Saturday before New Years. I ask the mechanic to call before work is done. No call received. Calle received 5 hours later car is ready. You have a oil leak that caused the old starter to go. Common sense would have to let me know that before putting another starter on. Cost $240. I declined the service because I told him to call first. The mechanic left a message on my phone keys under the mat come get your car and happy new. Years. What kind of service is that? Sorry and sad
The only people aloud to touch my vehicles in the greater Pgh region. Ed Wahl is as real as is gets. Oh, and his staff can fix your minor car issues too! Best mechanics in the county... Always satisfied with repairs and cost.
Very fast with fixing the car much cheaper than the dealership very reasonably priced
Nice, hassle free, and best pricing Ive experienced for inspections and various other service in all of Pittsburgh. I do recommend.
The guys at Wahls are super nice and helpful. I definitely recommend going to them!
Needed a new muffler and tailpipe. Called five different shops, and Wahls was by far the cheapest. Quick turnaround, too.
Good, honest guys who turned my car around quickly
Ive been going to wahls for ten years now. always honest. always thorough.great place to get a car repaired/inspected
This is a great mechanic shop. Any minor issue you may have with your car, they can fix and they dont overcharge you for service.
Went in for inspection. Good guy. Good price. Timely. Cant ask for more.
Hands down best mechanic in the city very reasonable & honest
Best price in Pittsburgh for car repairs.
Best place to get work done on your car in southside.
He did a few repairs for me and I never had to ask him to go over them. If couldnt Do what i ask of him he gave advice on other repair shops. Hes just not close to 🏡 I might walk a distance to get to him or hop a bus.
Friend dropped car off at 8am for a oil change nd got car back at 1:30 nd then got raped nd had to pay $56 for a $20 oil change

The owner of this garage just walked to my house, jumped my car and told me I just needed a new battery but that I should bring it in on Monday for him to look at. He refused to take any money. What a guy.
