Nu car rentals provided such an awful experience they lack integrity, respect, honesty, and humility. They are a low budget rental car facility with a whole lot of hidden fees and should be reported to the better business bureau. This company has left such an awful taste in my mouth I will NEVER rent from them again nor will I recommend them for services. The only good thing was being able to receive the shuttle service to and from the airport. When my family and I first arrived at Nu car rental my order seemed invalid since they tacked on so many hidden fees that wasnt mentioned when we previously paid for the car months prior. The lady sitting outside at the desk was so consumed with her personal texts we had to inform her that we were waiting for her services. Then she provided us with a tablet to go and hunt for our vehicle and inspect it ourselves. The vehicle was a brown Mitsubishi SUV which had a dent in the back right passenger door and scratches all around. Eventually we ended up in a Chevy Equinox. I would NEVER recommend or use this company again. I would love my money back and to see this facility shutdown. They are a rip off and taking advantage of people trying to have a relaxing and comfortable vacation and turned into a horrific and uncomfortable situation. Nu car rentals try to instill fear in the drivers and force the expansion and insurance on them to enforce their own hidden agenda and fees.

If I could leave zero stars I would. First of all, I booked through Expedia and this car service made itself look like they were at the airport, and then you have to call and wait for a shuttle. Car place is about 10 minutes from the airport. When you get there, there is no sense of urgency whatsoever from the front desk staff. When you finally get to the window they attempt to price gouge and upsell you on just about everything (including a $25 to $50 cleaning charge which they claim is mandated by the CDC, but is not listed in any of the car listing or reservation information). They also claim you need to purchase their insurance and toll passes, even if you have car insurance already or coverage through another company. Then on top of your reservation fee they charge you another $200 deposit.The car itself was fine, the check engine light was on and I went up and informed the attendant and he said they must have forgot to reset it and it was fine so we drove it like that throughout our trip. I called to see what time they open/what time shuttles start (not something I originally thought to look at, because again - it said this car service was AT the airport) and they said first shuttle was at 6. We were there promptly waiting but were not taken to the airport until 6:25. Thankfully we made our flights.I have yet to see if they will refund me any of my deposit (we hardly used the car, only used about 4 gallons of gas) and I took extensive notes to any damages on the outside of the car but I feel like they may be the type of company to claim I damaged the car somehow.

Since there is not a 0 to rate I chose 1. Worst experience ever. The keys were thrown at us and said go find the car. Very rude people We asked where is it and they said its a new blue compass. We had to actually hit the alarm to find the vehicle. Poor customer service, employees dont have to wear masks however customers do. Never use this service again and would not would recommend to anyone.

Car was being cleaned when I arrived but I was early. The only saving grace was that I was able to get a car (Toyota Corolla) before the time I reserved through Hotwire. Cleaned car still had sand on dash and in carpet, steering wheel was sticky, seats had some stained spots. Car had some repaired damage. Shared a shuttle with two other customers and I had the best experience of the 3 of us. Next time I wont be using an off-site rental service.

Seriously the worst most unprofessional operation. Rent a car throw u the keys tell you to walk the parking lot pushing the alarm button to find car. Every spot number but they are to dump and lazy to identify and give you car that way. In the van to bring us back lto airport sam Adams for the driver

We rented a car from NuCar … Action Car Rentals (Orlando, FL) and had a great experience. The shuttle was right there when we arrived ( we just followed the instructions to the pick up area); the agents were very accommodating… we chose to purchase the gas and tolls and we’re never pressured to purchase anything else. On returning the car, it was extremely easy and again, the shuttle took us immediately to the airport. Thanks to you all for making our rental easy and affordable!!

Hidden fees, and gave me a smaller vehicle than I reserved and charged the same. Shady place that draws you in with low prices. There’s a reason it hs a ton a reviews and the vast majority are one star. Pay the extra to go with a reputable place.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We had reservations for our 10 day trip for months. When we got here the credit card got put on hold and they refused to run the card again once the hold was removed. They then cancelled our reservation and left us stranded at 8pm with no car and nowhere to go. When we got reasonably upset they wouldn’t run the card again or use a different card he threatened to call the police on us if we didn’t leave. Meanwhile we had nowhere to go and no car. Our money for the 10 day reservation was also not refunded. NEVER USE THIS PLACE. They also require you to buy their insurance or pay $2500.

To start our experience with NU car rental we came into the airport at 10:30 pm and wanted for a shuttle bus to pick us up for about 45 minutes. I don’t think they would have come at all except we called them and told them that we were waiting. Once we got to the offsite location from the airport then the customer service was alright. When we dropped the car off there were a lot of people waiting for the shuttle to come take them to the airport in the hot Sun. They had been standing there for a while. It took about 10 minutes for us to get on a shuttle because luckily two showed up at the same time. There were others that had to stay behind and keep waiting. Next time I would pay a little more and rent a car on-site.

So a lot of these smaller rental places our a little away from the actual airport. Compared to the big advertise names. In the last four years in a row I have been using what ever is that is included in a my priceline packaged deals. This was by far the best so far. It was like going to a big name inside the airport not in looks per say but in service. They were awesome super friendly did not need a huge deposit and the car was not dinky. Again we are not there for the ride it is mainly for hotel and park stay but the car was nice and clean. The service again was great.

If I could give it negative stars it would be -5stars. I reserved a car months in advance and still had to wait over 2 hours before I even got off the lot. First they make it seem like they are at the airport (they are not) they dont even have a desk at the airport. I arrived at the airport at 3pm and could not find my car Cartier any where, decided to call them only to get a recording telling me to wait outside at b11 and a van would come by every 10 minutes.a half hour later called again and took fifteen more minutes to get to talk to someone. They stated the same thing wait there for a van. 1 hour later van finally showed up. I did get off of the lot until after 6pm, plane landed at 3pm. So blew over 3 hours for my car. NEVER AGAIN, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They add so many fees after I already paid over four hundred dollars to rent the car, that added a 25 dollar cleaning fee, 66 dollar toll fee, another 25 gas fee, I ended up spending over another 100 dollars before I drove off the lot. Didnt even get the car I reserved.

Don’t use NU car. Scam. Woman at the check out didn’t gave me final receipt and charged me extra without letting me know. I asked couple of times my final receipt but she said you will get it in couple of minutes via email and I never received. Only I sow extra charges on my credit card.All cars smells smoked and filthy. Stay away from them.

Airport pick up:The shuttle ride was on time and speedy enough. We followed the instructions and found the pick up location just fine and brought us to the location.Renting the vehicle:Once we got to the rental office it was hurry up and wait. A long line quickly formed and it was excruciatingly slow. 2 people behind the counter serving a shuttle full of people with more arriving behind us. We gave it a pass since most businesses are short staffed due to the pandemic.The fees:Once at the counter, they will try to up-sell you on everything especially insurance. Don’t. If you have car insurance, you’re good to go and if you pay with a credit card, your card company will cover you to a certain degree. They charge a ridiculous fee for them to “clean and disinfect” the car upon return, if you don’t agree than you can do it yourself, I suspect that if they don’t believe you did, they tack on the fee. They give you the car with no fuel as a default but of course you can choose to pay more to get one with fuel.Getting the car:They more or less point you in the direction the car is located. Then the search is on. It’s not a big lot so it’s not terrible but there are no obvious markers or organization as far as I could tell. The person outside gave us a tablet to inspect the car and note any bump/scratch we could find on to that tablet—and there were many so take your time. Really. Mark everything. The car we got had a busted rear passenger side bumper right on the sensor—which would go crazy once in a while— I guess they took the insurance money instead of fixing the car.Almost there:Upon returning the tablet, more waiting, why? Because the woman at that counter was (what it looked and sounded like) selling tickets to something to a couple that had returned that tablet. As I waited in the heat, I could hear she was in the middle of her sales pitch. Meanwhile,there is a long, long line of people packed into a building the size of a hut, most of them waiting outside in the Florida heat. She finally paused, took the tablet and gave me my receipt.Returning the car:A lot easier but since I had a conflict with my flight, I had to return it the night before the actual date of return.In the end I think I spent almost as much as if I had gone with the bigger car rental companies.

This place was horrible!! Price gouging and all! Trying to sell me car insurance when I told the Hispanic lady I already had insurance through my insurance company and as a back up I purchased the insurance thru expedia. The lady told me thats not real coverage! Say what! Ill be sure to talk to expedia about that. Also the Hispanic lady asked to see proof of coverage and ask what kind of car did I have at home that I have coverage on? What does that matter!! She was so bad I pulled my phone out and started recording! The tried to scare you into buying toll packages! Telling you to avoid the highway they are located off of because thats your 1st toll charge!! Also telling the ppl to bring the rental car back washed and vacuum or theres a $50-150 fee. I have never been to a place like this so hard up for money. They could care less about the customers needs and wants. I paid 700$ for the weekend due to a last minute trip for my birthday! 10$ extra per day for paying with a debit card! The hotel already had a hold on my credit card for the room! They could care less!!

The shuttle was quick and the driver was very courteous. That is where the okay stops. I prepaid on booking.com for the rental. When we arrived we were given a vehicle that had MANY scratches and dents. I was actually worried to take it thinking they would blame some of it on me. The key fab only worked part of the time. I declined ALL insurance coverage and was told my card would be needed to hold a deposit. I was charged however for 5 days of Loss Damage insurance coverage when I decline it. I tried calling the company but they act like they cant hear you. She told me look at my receipt and see you accepted loss coverage.But you sign your initials on a blank keypad to deny coverage. Then they charge your card and then give you a receipt. There were many unhappy customers the day we picked up and I was thinking it was shady. Ill be attempting to fight this through my card as well. Take it from me, pay the extra to rent at the airport. It will be worth it in the long run.

SCAM. Car was fine, but they pressure you into many different things that aren’t needed. Charged $85 for prepaid tolls and said 99% of toll plazas were unmanned for cash. Complete lies. Get your car somewhere else. If you must go here simply reserve and don’t say another word.

Smaller car than expected, not even given with a full tank of gas. Car we were given smelled horribly of weed inside, looked like it hadnt been cleaned (even though they charge you $25 as a cleaning/vacuum fee.) Ended up returning the car early since we couldnt stand the smell and rented a different car from a much more reputable company which was flawless. Would not recommend using.

This car company left us waiting at the airport for 30mins. Then we were lied to about a toll pass. Ernesto offered us the toll pass which we turned down. He warned us that the toll road arent manned a lot of the time. What he failed to warn us was no matter what lane you are in they will auto pick up the transponder, yes even if you are in the cash lane. This results in a 25.00 a day charge. When I called this company back they placed me on hold 3 different time for over 30mins and wouldnt let me speak to a manager. They are a joke after they take you to their check in desk, you then find out you have the wash and vacuum the car before returning it....who the hell washes a car on vacation. To make matters worst when you go to the lady in the parking lot, she is trying to sell you a time share. Dont waste your time, they seem like a good deal until you add in all the extra charges that are included at a REAL car company. I booked thru Expedia and now they have also lost my business.

Worst experience we ever had dealing with a car rental company. Stay away!!! We got off of a 3 hour flight with a 3 year old and 4 year old. Had to wait a 1:45 minutes with a lot full of cars. Watched everyone come off the bus with us drive away in cars. We were so exhausted we just took what they give us and next day went with another rental company and returned their car. Watch out for the hidden fees also. I spoke with the manager and he told me, it is.... what it is... with a smirk on his face. No refund for the days we didnt use the car. I would advise to stay away.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!First we had to wait over 40 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to arrive. I had purshased collition insurance and they insisted I had to pay for additional insurance which I ended up getting. When we got the vehicle which was a white Dodge Caravan, after leaving the site, I found a small dead roach in the middle console. I thought since it is rented it could have come from the last use. Well unfortunately that was not the case, during the week I had it, we found about 6 small roaches (alive) in it. Finally when we arrived to return the vehicle and take the shuttle back to the airport they were closed, this was at no warning from them, they advertised they had shuttles available. We had to leave the vehicle parked at the front gate. There were more people waiting and we all had to pay for transportation from Lyft or Uber.

Aggressive upscale. Misinformation (you can avoid tolls here just fine). More fees upon check in; youre in charge of your own COVID cleaning or have to pay for it (most other places include it). Car itself was fine and nice. Car shuttle from airport avaliable, though fewer shuttles than the well known companies. Dont recommend due to service and excessive fees.I booked through a third party site. Be sure to read the fine print of the company policies on said website before you go. The employee that checked me in did not explain the policies when I asked for it; he only listed prices. I had to look it up myself on my phone. He kept pushing the toll pass; just select avoid tolls on your GPS and youll be just fine. Also, if youre going to be parked all day at an amusement park, you can fill gas cheap instead of using their refill service.Just research before you go. You dont need half the things they push on you.

Just picked up our van! Everything went well I think considering all over in underemployed…. We only waited maybe 20 min if that for the shuttle… the guy driving was very kind! Even though we had to wait about 45 min to get our car it wasn’t an unpleasant experience…. unfortunately every business is going to have delays! go with the flow!also there is a cleaning fee … $25 upfront or you clean the car yourself or it’s a $50 charge11.99 a day for the tolls, which they try to sell you hard on but it’s a good deal I guess if you are driving around a lot!Sooo I guess we will see how everything goes when we return the van……… might be changing the review!Updated -everything great! If it were possible to give less than 1 star I would. You and your family deserve better than NU car rentals. They left my family stranded at the airport, and when we called as we were en route to FL, the customer service person left much to be desired.We wound up cancelling our rental from how poor the entire experience was. If the other companies are booked, just reschedule your trip or take an Uber.This is the worst car rental company in existence and the bevvy of low ratings just proves the point.

Great Shuttle service from MCO to pickup car - but it a bit longer than anticipated. Watch out for your car @ pickup- I Got a Compact car when Booked and Paid in Full for FULL size car; after I questioned them. Them gave me a Nissan Rouge (plan Jane model).

Car was dirty inside and out, slow services, lots of extra charges to your bill like for not cleaning car before bringing back cost us an extra $25.00, takes $200.00 extra out until you bring car back and could take up to 2 weeks to get money back, wont take debt cards has to be a credit card or will charge another $100.00 to use debt card. Go through airport to save money this place not saving no money. They also take for ever to get you to and from airport with only one shuttle. I do not recommend this place, I will never use them again.

Rented a car in May 2021. Was a lengthy wait to get the car and the contract stated return the car with the fuel level in the car. We had a tank that was 3/4 full. We returned the car 3/4 and they said they would charge me for the gas because the tank was not full. I said it was given to me with that amount of fuel and she said, did you take a picture and of course I did not because I believe people are trusting and not deceitful. When you check in, no employee goes to the car with you and they send you with an I pad and say go find your car. They also wanted me to pay a high price for a toll card. I declined and when I went through tolls, I would pay but they kept telling me to go through the tolls because I had the E pass in my window and told me not to come through the pay line. Now 2 months later I am still getting random charges from the rental company and they just keep saying it was a toll charge. This company is not to be trusted with their shifty business practices. I will go with a reputable company from now on.

I was very apprehensive after reading all the reviews. I called Hotwire to inquire about a refund since this place has an F rating, oh and also to ask why they would do business with such a place. No refunds so we proceeded. I think I may be the odd one out because we had NO issues with the company. Butttt I did read every review prior to getting to Orlando therefore I knew where to go for shuttle pickup and what to bring. I called when we collected our bags, shuttle was fast. There was one person behind the counter but went fast. They did not attempt to sell me anything and I had my paperwork in hand. I did opt for the 25$ cleaning and prepaid tolls. We were given keys to get the van. The lot is small enough you can use the key fob to find it. The women outside told us to video the car in and out and come back up to close out. The van was nice and clean with a full tank. It had a few dings( nothing I didn’t expect) and overall in and out within half hour. Returning was also no issue.

Terrible company thats has shady sales people that try to talk you into buying services you dont need.. cleaning the car for $25 ?!! Ive never cleaned a rental before I returned it, and trying to make it seem like this is required! We also rented a Toyota Camry, we were given a Nissan kicks which is a micro suv that can barely accelerate to get on the highway. They open at six am and have no organization for returning the cars. Oh and if you book online be prepared to drop another $125 for fees and taxes when you take your car. Do yourself a favor and rent from a reputable rental car company from the airport.

Rented a car here for the week. After reading some reviews I was a little afraid. It felt that I was pushed to get add ons such as insurance or the toll pass. But the car worked rather well, few dents on it but its a rental car. Turn in was as easy as handing over a key. Saved over 400$ renting from NU car rentals. Would probably do it again.

Please stay far away!Unfortunately, we experienced abhorrent customer service regarding an issue and dealt with the manager, Mikey, whom was extremely rude and condescending.He claimed that we lost our original car key and returned one that was different, when we in fact, did not. He said that we would be charged $200. We of course were outraged and tried to tell him many times that an employee must have made an error computing the lost key note on our account, but he wouldn’t hear of it. He tried to dismiss us many times and even stated “we’re not arguing, you’re free to go.” His attitude at this point only caused us to become increasingly more upset and a scene was starting.We watched him walk outside on the phone where he must have double checked the records with an employee, and like we said originally — an error was made and we were right. We did not lose a key. His employee mistook us for another customer and relayed wrong information. Upon this confirmation is when his demeanor changed completely. He went from being argumentative, hostile, and condescending to more subdued.If only he had tried to be more professional and work with us from the beginning instead of demanding that we were wrong this review could have been avoided. There was no actual issue with our car, but I would not recommend this company to anybody due to the horrible way we were treated.

Paid for a compact truck and they tried to give me a compact car. Paid for a upgrade and the oil change light came on every time I started the truck. Took the truck back to get another truck and had the same issue. They finally gave me another truck that doesnt need any work. So hopefully this truck is better.

STOP!! STOP!!If you want to enjoy your vacation do not start your vacation by renting from this company! When we arrived at Orlando Airport we went to the shuttle to pick us up to take us to the car rental place. There were no signs at all for this company!Very confusing until we asked many people. When we arrived at NU car rental the lines were extremely long.My husband was told that the car needed to be returned clean! Full tank gas, vacuumed, dash wiped down and a car wash when returning the car!Never ever have I had to do that in any car rental in all my years!It was not on my reservation paper at all but they insisted we would be charge $50 otherwise.When we got our car, I open the door and it smelled like SMOKE & MARIJUANA !!I went to let them know and I had to get back in line! So I decided to take the car and call them the next day to let them know that was unacceptable!I tried calling five or six times they never once answered their phones. Upon returning the car, I told the person that check the car in. She said she would make a note of that we were very dissatisfied which of course she never did.WORST SERVICE EVER!! This place is horrible I paid for an upgrade vehicle which the car was disgusting in the inside on top of that it was on empty not full.i had to pay someone to clean the car before I dropped it off in my life have I ever heard of such a thing. Also it was a very rainy day so I didnt get a chance to inspect the car the next day there was a very small crack on the windshield and they are pinging it on me when I did not even notice it before I took it. First, I never had an issue renting a vehicle in Florida and going to Savannah until dealing with this sham company. You may think you are getting a good deal, but they nickel and dime you on everything. We went to return the vehicle this morning, and the place was disorganized beyond belief. Most people renting cars and returning them usually have connecting flights. People had to rush and someone even may have missed a flight due to their shoddy operations. The next time I rent a car in Orlando, it definitely wont be from this place.

The best car renting experience we have ever had! Shuttle was waiting at airport to pick us up, 10 minutes to the rental place, no lines and friendly service. Esteban was very helpful in offering advice on the different places to eat close to us, and the quickest way to where we were going. He also gave us a free upgrade from a Jeep to a full size dodge suv. After seeing their bad reviews we got a little nervous, but our jeep was $400 less than any other company. It looks like all the bad reviews came when they first opened or during covid and they didnt have everything together. They are our new go-to and it couldnt have been smoother.

Waited 1 1/2 hours for the airport shuttle that was “on its way” but never came. We had to pay $50 to get a ride to pick up the car. The car was smaller than requested, dirty & in bad shape. Was told the car had a full tank of gas & paid for them to fill it when I got back. When I pulled out of the lot after finally getting out of there & looked at it there was less than a 1/4 tank of gas & I had to fill. When I went to return the car the attendant tried to tell me I still owed $500 when I prepaid for the rental! The man inside figured it out but it was a fitting end to the horrible experience! I should have known that it was too good to be true when I saw how much cheaper it was then the rentals at the airport

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! I specifically said I wanted the SunPass. Did I get the SunPass? No! Now, I am expecting to get dinged by the State of Florida.Nu charges you for not cleaning the car before you return it but heres the problem they dont give you a clean car. They charged me $25 to clean the car BEFORE I left with the car.If you think youre getting a deal, think again. What youve paid ahead of pick-up s considered a voucher and they will add on at least $200 more in ridiculous charges.And forget about calling to complain or resolve your issues. Whatever you do, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. They lie, and steal from you. They say your gas tank was full when it wasn’t, threaten to not take you back to the airport when they are called out for it. & they have a mask mandate posted all over their doors and not a single employee is wearing a mask. Managers cussed and called us inappropriate names in front of our child. Threatened to physically hurt us as well, again in front of our child. Very unprofessional and worst car rental place I’ve ever had to deal with.

Unlike most other car rentals, the agency is quite far from the airport. You must take quite a long shuttle trip to get there. Counter staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. Value was okay, but I would avoid in the future due to the inconvenience of getting there.

Do NOT rent from here! Please take your business to a better company. They have no sign showing where to go in order to get your rental car once you land. They only have ONE shuttle running back and forth with only a handful of spots on the bus so we had to wait over an hour with a fussy toddler in the heat. Once we got to the rental place, the Hispanic lady at the counter ripped us out of over $200 more on top of what we already paid to rent the car. She made it sound like it is required by Florida law to purchase their minimum coverage they offer which is $93 - IT IS NOT REQUIRED IF YOU SHOW PROOF OF INSURANCE - we now have to call customer service to get that money back. The toll package is also not needed unless you are staying in an area that has a ton of tolls. We paid for the prepaid gas but once we finally got in the car, we didn’t realize it only had half a tank with the tire alert on until we were already on the highway headed to our hotel. I called and she told me to take a picture. When we returned the car the same Hispanic woman helped us with a refund for the gas and proceeded to tell us that the tire alert being on is normal and not dangerous. Does she not realize that low tire pressure can cause a tire to blow?! She also called us liars to our face about how she made it seem like we had no choice but to pay for the insurance. Needless to say, customer service sucks and they just want your money. It’s better to go to a company that actually cares. We will not be renting from this company ever again and do not recommend anyone else go through them either!

My family and I had a reservation we had 4 children 3 adults. The carseat that we paid for from the was a mess straps tangled up. Window inside of car were so dirty also there was no washer fluid I had to stop and wash car just so I could see. The windshield wipers were in poor shape and made it hard to see when it rained. They have a lot of hidden fees and try to scare you into taking there inschurance and the sun pass to claiming not many of the tolls take cash. I dont recommend this place at all and the shuttle service is horrible they claim it runs every 10 to 15 minutes but waited 45 plus and several people cut in line

By far one of the worst car rentals I have ever used. I had a flight changed and wanted to change my pick up time for an earlier pick up time I was given the run around given different numbers to call. I called and spoke to a representative and when I asked for her name she hung up on me. I called back to also inquire about a car seat rental before I was done asking my question she hung up on me again. She was so rude and had a nasty attitude seemed to be getting annoyed because I was asking questions. I called again for the 3rd time and she put me straight to voicemail. Called a 4th and 5th time and still no response I swear this place is a joke! I should’ve read the reviews before booking with them! PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE!! I called the number that was on my itinerary and asked for a supervisor to make a complain on the lady I spoke with and was on hold for 30 minutes before they hung up on me! I do not recommend this car rental. I did know it was off site. However, we waited a longtime for the shuttle. When we were renting the car they did not give me the option of using my insurance. I did not give them the option of their insurance. The lady next to me was told she had to have commercial grade insurance. The car was smaller than expected. When I returned the car I had 5/8 of a tank. It took $28 to fill it. You could fill the whole tank for $20. Im not using them again.

Not located on the airport. We had to wait 40 minutes for their shuttle to pick us up from the airport. They do not open until 6 AM so we could not return the car early for our morning flight. They have a form to sign that requires you to take the car through a car wash and vacuum it out or face a cleaning fee. Not worth it, do not use them.

Called the number provided for the shuttle at 11:30pm and nobody was available. Left messages and no response. Hours posted said they were open till midnight. Two other parties were waiting at the pick up location with the same issue. Another shuttle company informed us that they closed at 11. All parties had to find transportation to their destinations. We ended up paying $80 to our timeshare and another $30 the next morning to go back to the rental lot. I informed the agent of the issue we had and he said hed look into it. He didnt seem bothered by it at all. He said he was the manager and Id need to call corporate to file a complaint. He did end up upgrading our rental to a nicer vehicle at no charge and also didnt charge us for the fuel we used. However with the stress of having to find transportation at 12:30am and the added cost I would not recommend this company. I honestly would have expected a bigger discount and a lot more compassion. I have yet to contact corporate so once I do that I can update what their response was and update this post. But as of now DO NOT use this company.

Staff is very friendly and explains everything well. Toll roads are everywhere in Florida and NU car makes you aware of the fees. They offer an 11.99 per day unlimited toll pass here. If youre driving a lot, could be worth it. Havent price shopped yet.

Be prepared for extra fees! You have to return the car washed and vacuumed or you will be charged $50. If you pay for cleaning at pick up, it is $25. We asked to pay the $25 cleaning fee. They forgot to charge the $25 at pickup and had to pay the $50 fee at drop-off. Check your bill carefully!

Family of 6. One handicap and two toddlers. Rental place does not provide good information. Had to take a shuttle to car rental place from airport. Did not have to wait very long to get the car. Beware of hidden fees! Had to pay $25 for vehicle to be cleaned upon return. If you wait to pay the cleaning fee on return they charge $50 or you can choose to vacuum and wash your car on your own. When we received the van it had what appeared to be a blood substance on the plastic in the back seat. I also Rented dirty stained up car seats at $7.99 per day. Also prepaid toll pass at $12.00 per day. All in all I thought we were getting a good deal through Priceline but come to find out it cost over $1000 in total.We had a early flight the next morning departing at 6:05. Well the shuttle doesn’t run until they open at 6am. So it put us in a bind. We ended up having to drop off the van the night before so I could shuttle to the airport and stay at the hotel at the airport. All this was a hassle as we had small children and a handicapped.

The rental car was dirty, no window wiper fluid, and they tried blaming me for a chip on the windshield that was already there. The guy who checked the vehicle did not really check the others vehicle, but form some reason he double checks mines and pulls out a flash light to check the windshield like he already knew the chip was already there trying to blame me. Out of state rentals beware these people are scams as well, because the couple before had been charged damages from previous drivers. I would recommend taking pictures before driving off their property.

Orlando, Fl 7/28 evening. Dont go!!! My wait was over an hour and half. There was only 9 people in front of me and 2 guys working the counter. And in the end you will pay alot more, we thought we were saving $50-$75 on a $700 car rental from the big guys. The hidden fees are insane!!! I have full coverage car insurance (3 cars) and I told the guy, but he said its policy to have additional insurance. We had a Durango and it was below E on gas when we got to it. I want back inside showed the rude person working that he marked the paper it 8/8 full of gas. He told me sorry we dont have any gas, youll have to fill it up yourself. I told him I didnt feel comfortable driving it to the gas station because the needle didnt even move. He told 7/11 is just down the road go put gas in it and quit crying. This place should be shut down permanently. Nobody should ever be treated the way my family and I were. I dont know if this was because we were I mixed race family. With 2 mixed babies. Id like to think not, but you ever know anymore.

Dont rent from here! 1st of all its off site and you have to wait for a shuttle. Upon arrival the wanna be barbie behind the front desk was the rudest counter person Ive met. Everyone in the line was there to complain and she was cursing them out warning she was going to cancel peoples reservations. They have a number of hidden charges. They want you to wash their car before returning or there is an extra charge. You only get 100 miles included. This place is a scam. They should be out of business. Hotwire didnt give me a refund at all and I didnt even take the car! Wont use hotwire ever again either!

I was a little nervous about the line, and all the people outside, the the counter assistants were quick and efficient. I didnt get the car I had originally requested, (orange Chevy Spark), but I was just glad to get out fast! Outside help was quick and friendly, and when we checked back in (with a full tank of gas) they got us on our way quickly!

Really poor service. I did came in earlier and the vehicle was in the parking lot. Since it was 2 hours earlier they charge me $100 for that…. I had to call my insurance company because it was’nt clear for them that I was insured. Took 1 extra hour of waiting. If it was for them, go somewhere else if you want ! Wow! Save yourself trouble and rent for an other company with better name.

NU car rental was excellent. Upon picking up the car the customer service was great. My sister’s flight was delayed and after she called they allowed me to take over the reservation so I could get the car. The two people I encountered were very friendly and patient. I observed how they were the same with others. The process was quick and easy, yet I didn’t feel rushed.One of the even better things about NU is how they pulled through for my family last minute.We needed an additional day due to extenuating circumstance out of our control. After talking to Amerilee, she was able to accommodate us and work it out for us to have the vehicle until the next day. She was so considerate of our situation, extremely helpful, and in that moment Heaven sent.My family and I truly appreciate the excellent customer service and will definitely rent from NU again. Highly recommend to others 👍🏽

FIRST...There is absolutely NO signage in the airport as to where you go to even get to their location, nothing that tells you where the get their shuttle to their location either. We spent a good part of an hour looking for them. SECOND...good luck trying to get them on the phone. If you make past the first gauntlet of navigating the automated system, congratulations...BUT, THEY WILL HANG UP ON YOU!!! When we finally made it to their location, I noticed that they do not answer the continually ringing phone. And if none of this was enough....they lack customer service skills. When we returned it, they said it had just been serviced so they probably didnt reset the car. Maybe...but we arent taking the risk, so we wanted another car. The new car had a spare tire and the hubcap was missing. It rode fine. 10 gallon gas tank.

Horrible, car was somewhat dirty, prepaid with hotwire so could not get out of deal. They wanted me to sign a form that I would wash the car. Staff was rude waited long time at airport for shuttle. Was unable to drop off in morning so was told leave keys under mat. Such a low end feel to the place worried the car would get stolen and myself blamed so dropped off early. Overall felt like needed a shower after dealing with them. Stay away very inconvenient and unprofessional.

INCREDIBLY disappointed. Was assured by Hotwire all partner rental car companies were held to the same standards. This is not the case, from the service to the vehicle being involved in some sort of small fender bender and not being fixed to the no flexibility of this company. THIS IS DISCOUNT..... I rented a car from here on Sept 1, 2021. First of all, their shuttles are NOT consistently coming to the airport like other reputable bigger companies. We waited over an hour for the shuttle. Then the shuttle didn’t fit our entire group. I had to leave them behind to go get my rental. Only 2 people working the counter when there’s lots of people trying to get their cars. Very very slow process even tho I already had a reservation. I paid for collision thru Expedia and this company added on another collision coverage at 24.99 a day! Watch out for the hidden fees. Buy a visitor toll pass at the airport. Dont use the tracker they try to sell you. They tried telling my brother-in-law that our Florida visitor pass wouldn’t work at all tolls when in fact it did. And when we dropped off the vehicle at 5 am, they were closed so I didn’t have a shuttle to take me back to the airport ( like they advertise) . I had to Uber!NEVER renting from this company again. Save yourself the heartache and go somewhere else directly from the airport or use a car app! People rent their vehicles at much cheaper rates

Terrible. Made a reservation through Expedia. While the expedia payment had the collision plan, they did not inform and had no idea about the service and made me apply for redundant collision plan. When I went back to the place for refund, one of black guys laughed at my question about the specification and insulted me with a cheeky attitude, asking if I did not properly check the contents of the specification.Although you already know and there exist explanation about the rent policy dont do service like this! And check Expedia collision coverage and inform customer if they already pay for that!!

You have t take a shuttle to it. It oil not at the Airport. You have to bring the car back completely clean and vacuumed And filled with gas. If it is not clean they will charge you a $50 cleaning fee. They also tried to charge us $600 for the 2 extra days that we were quoted $100 A-day. AVOID. Waited an hour and a half to get our vehicle on a Tuesday night. Place is such a scam. Vehicle came dirty. They tried to tell us there was a $25-50 charge to clean the car if we brought it back without vacuuming it when it came dirty in the first place. Also they were lying to people telling them that they could not get anywhere in Orlando, FL without an IPASS just so they could sell them their unlimited toll package. We got along without tolls just fine and it didnt add any extra travel time, so he straight lied just to try to sell us a transponder. $7 fee per day for a debit card if you dont have a major credit card to put on file. $11 for the transponder. $8 for an additional driver per day. $10+ a day for additional insurance if you dont have your insurance card or yours doesnt cover rentals (thankfully I checked and brought ours) .... literally tries to nickel and dime you to death. Off airport property so youre stuck waiting for a shuttle.... Only reason I am giving them two stars is because the SUV was actually new and we had no problems with the vehicle itself. AVOID.

RISK OF FRAUD! Never book NÜ Cars on KAYAK.com, Priceline.com or any other plattform.Here is how they operate:- You have to pay everything in advance. In my case $600- If you come 24hrs late, your voucher is not valid any more and all money gone- They unfortunately will not inform you who their local partner is at the airport - but they make sure their voucher looks like they are the ones - see my voucher.In my case: No NÜ Car on ground. They have a local operator not mentioned on the voucher.NÜ Car fails to respond to my mails and is unwiling to refund!

Terrible experience. The woman at the counter lies to people saying they *must* buy their toll pass because FL has shut down their manned toll plazas and you cannot get around Orlando without it.They make you sign a contract saying that per CDC guidelines they did an extensive cleaning of your car, and that you must wash it both inside and out prior to returning or else you’ll be charged $25 for a cleaning.I signed a contract saying that I’d be getting a contract with a car with a full tank of gas and I’d be charged if I brought it back with less, but when I actually got the car it had less than 1/4 a tank of gas. I came back in and asked the woman to fill my car up and she told me that they were out of gas and to take a picture. She explained that they were not responsible for giving us a car with gas in it.I then asked them if the car was even cleaned since it wasn’t refilled with gas, and she admitted that it wasn’t and offered to just cancel my reservation. Since it was 1130 PM at this point, I had no option but to take the car. All this after they made me sign an extra contract claiming per CDC guidelines they cleaned the car.After all of this some guy finally offered to clean my car and then actually filled it up with gas (which is amazing since they told me they had no gas). Nonetheless, my wife and I were already in the uncleaned car in the middle of a pandemic and were only getting out of the car rental agency at 1150 pm, after arriving at the agency at 10pm. After a long trip to FL, all of the restaurants were closed due to the long delay at the rental agency.Avoid this business at all costs. They will lie to you. They will try to defraud you. They will risk your health. And they won’t care.

I would not even give this company one star. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. We flew into Orlando and waited for sometime to be picked up. I reserved a van for 633. It did not say pay before it said pay when u pick up. All six of us with bags pregnant women and two year old arrive to be told. Sorry u didn’t prepare and are two hours late we don’t have it. Then they wanted to rent me one for almost 4,000. U read that right. Thank God for an angel from a local company that helped us. We learned this is what they do. They jack the price up and rent to someone else. There were other people standing there trying to come up with more money. Never use them. U will be screwed sitting there with nothing. No personality and didn’t care to help us. I will be calling better business
