I understand these are rentals but the car smelled like it was smoked in right before I picked it up. I loved that they washed the car before handing it over but cleaning the windows wouldve been great. There were footprints all over the windshield. Other than that I had no issues with the service I was provided.

Thanks to the gentleman who checked me out. He said they didnt have the midsize car that I reserved online, offered 2 options for the same price! Made my day and my trip a breeze with the mustang a drove. All the staff was professional and nice! Car was clean!

I needed a 7 passenger car and was rented a 6 passenger. By the time I realized I called them and they argued with me telling me it was a 7 passenger. Not to mention waiting for 30 minutes for the car to be pulled around. It was dirty, smelled like smoke and manager could care less. I finally was able to return the car to get a 7 passenger which put and my family completely behind the entire day. Then I went to return the car a day early and no one ever answered the phone and they were gone by the time I got there which was during business hours which made me again have to go back a second time. Never again renting from them

The staff pleasant and friendly. The car was ready when we arrived. And it was clean, top to bottom, front to back. And the price was the same as agreed upon prior to arrival, no hidden taxes. Thank you for making our vacation more enjoyable.

When we arrived the staff (Beth) was rude & clearly irritated. There were additional fees that were NOT listed on my confirmation email. When I advised her of that she told me to open it & read it as it was listed. I preceeded to open it & show her that it was not she was even more irritated. Only stating there was a policy changesometime last month. There were charges on the final bill that are yet to be explained. I have rented from budget in the past & have not been treated badly, so I would venture to say it was the location/staff. In my opinion, DO NOT BOOK/RENT FROM ORLANDO/KIRKMAN RD LOCATION

Convenient location inside the Holiday Inn right by Universal Orlando. However, my car was dirty and only had a 1/3-tank of gas when I picked it up. It was very obvious that the car had not been cleaned between me and the prior renter. And it was annoying that I had to go find gas before I could get on the road and drive to Cocoa Beach. Of course, the agent said I only needed to return the car with the same amount of gas, but good luck trying to plan that out. I ended up estimating slightly under when I returned to the airport, and got charged like $15 for being a little short.

After experiencing a scheduling snafu by attempting to reserve a vehicle via KAYAK, I was disheartened, however, the Budget associate who assisted me did everything he could to rectify the problem but was unable to. He set me up with an alternate rental for a different date. When the following date came, I worked with the same associate, was provided with excellent customer service, and a fantastic vehicle [2020 Ford Ranger XLT]! Overall it was a great experience and I will most DEFINITELY go back to Budget should I find myself in need of another rental!

Got there 1 minute, ONE MINUTE, after their supposed closing time, they were already gone, left at the front desk to the hotel said they left a few minutes before I got there… they didn’t even bother to call me, and of course I tried calling them, that was a joke, as nobody ever answers 🤦‍♂️ now I’m left stranded with a useless reservation. Don’t rent from Avis they will lie to you and make you purchased their insurance when we all know you don’t have to have insurance now I have to go to another Avis to get it removed totally a waste of time when people run a car there in a hurry to go out of town not to have to go to another Avis the guy at the airport was very rude obnoxious

Be sure to not use your debit card at this place. There will be charges that will come out of your account without prior knowledge or phone calls. We had tolls coming out of my account two months after we dropped off the vehicle. Pet cleaning fee without prior authorization taken out of my account. I brought the car back earlier than expected. They could have called and stated that there was dog hair in the car and I would have paid $1.75 to vacuum it out. Problem solved! The last car that I had smelled like weed for the entire week that I drove it. Did they pay for a cleaning fee?Each time that I’ve called, there’s a less than enthusiastic person on the phone with no personality. Today it was Beth who told me that she didn’te have to take care of me at all. She had no interest in doing so. If you are in the service industry, believe it or not that is your job. You take care of people. I will never be using this company again.

The whole process was like a dream. I was able to rent a car for 5 days for only $100 bucks. There were no hold for security deposit which I love!! And the whole process from start to finish was smooth....I used to rent with Enterprise but I’m going to switch to Budget now....oh and I was able to get 4-months of free music from a promotion they were running.!!! Budget is AWESOME!

According to our agreement, the car at Holiday Inn-Universal Studios, M045905 S Kirkman Rd, was due to be ready at 09:00 AM.I arrived there at 09:30 am and got the car only at 10:30 AM.The car was given all wet, I cleaned all the windows and mirrors myself.I ordered a high-level car and received minimal service.I was 7 minutes late at PEMBROKE PINES because I was given a car an hour later.I arrived there at 16:07.I did not even have time to refuel because the Budget PEMBROKE PINES department closed at 16:00.The employee quickly and unfriendly took the keys from me and without checking the car and left.I received a receipt for 200 dollars.And under the contract there was a car rental of $ 100.I used this machine for only 5 hours.And even a full tank of gasoline cannot cost $ 100, although it wasn’t all empty,We are very upset to have experience in your company.And we will not do this in the future.

Flew into the airport and rented my Budget vehicle at the airport. The line was long, I was tired and the counter person added all the options. The contract doubled in price from what I expected. Called Mark at this off-airport location and he helped fix the contract and reduced the total rental price by almost half!! Love you Mark! You guys are the best!

I did wait like 1 hour and a half after the time because wasnt the right car . Only 1 person in the rental car desk doing everything by herself which is not her fault . The car was empty of gas, I barely arrived to the gas station. The front tires were old and I noticed in the gas station, I believe this is dangerous if I would have had a rainy day, I could have an accident .When I did return the car I did wait more than 30 minutes to return the car because again the person was alone doing everything which she did a good job with a long line of people waiting. I returned the car with half tank of gas.

The lady who helped us rent our car was amazing! Excellent customer service! The rentals were amazing! She helped us with so many questions we had about what to do and where to go. I am renting for my third time!

I paid for a convertible and when I arrived the lady at the front told me I would not be getting a convertible. I was pretty upset, and she was not accommodating or helpful at all. I had to take matters into my own hands and call a separate store in order to get the car I had paid for.

Terrible customer service. I reserved a truck over a week in advance for tomorrow, and I received a call tonight from a rude guy telling me they dont have any trucks and to find my own before hanging up on me. I proceeded to call the manager and she hung up on me as well when I told her that canceling a reservation last-minute without any further assistance was unacceptable. I understand they just hand out the trucks, but the first gentleman should have provided a suggested course of action so I can ensure I receive a truck (even from a different location) versus saying he is just the messenger and hanging up.I would not recommend for anyone to rent a truck at this location because they treat customers like dirt!

The Budget facility in the hotel is a little cramped but the staff is always friendly and will always have the vehicle I need. They get you in and out as fast as they can. Love renting from here

Staff was extremely helpful, quickly done with all the procedures and paperwork and car was ready right outside the door. They walked me through and staff noted down the minor scratches on the car in front of me! This is really honest and good! I loved it! The service at the rental place was off the chain. The two representatives there were so helpful and really were honestly happy to help my family with our rental.

Terrible service. I took the time to call before I got there to make sure that everything was all right with my reservation. They give me some information that was totally false after I took time to get there with all my luggage, they told me I couldnt rent the car. I should have called right away to the place instead of dialing the 800 number... well if you have a 800 number for a company and people call there the day before to have some information you should be able to give the right information to the customers. Or they should have told me to call directly to the place. Its my first time giving a one-star reviewing a service or a place. I will never go back there this is a really bad customer service. Theres so much company you can rent from so just choose another one please to avoid being disappointed.

DO NOT USE!! Terrible service (actually NO service) I booked a rental online, but unfortunately my card was declined when getting the car. OK, no problem. Rental services can use a debit card with a deposit and credit check. Well, this worker refused to use that option. He was lazy and sat around on the lounge chair as we tried to get this issue resolved. No employee offered any help. My wife and I were there over an hour and within a span of 30 minutes, 3 different couples walked away, with no car and no help. We went to the AVIS across the street, were helped immediately and had our car in approx 15 minutes from walking in. Funny, seeing that the companies are under the same umbrella and have the same policies. Even the Holiday Inn workers offered a solution. The workers at Budget were absolutely awful. AVOID at all cost.

I drive from Leesburg FL so I can go to this location to rent a car. When I find good loving people that’s VERY HELPFUL I WILL drive pass a million others to get to that one! I enjoy renting cars from them it’s been a little over 4 year’s in they only get better in my eyes 👀

Budget does not care about the safety of the customers or their families😠They rented us a car with bad tires that has holes in it and wires showing.I rented a vehicle from Budget car rental to take my family from Orlando to travel 3000 miles to go to California. When we got into Tennessee my wife noticed the driver side tire was extremely worn and showing tred. I called the road hazard number. First time I called I was on hold waiting for assistance for 45 minutes then it hung up on me. I called back and after a 30 minute hold someone answered and told me to drive it to the nearest Budget. I took it to the Budget office and they said they couldnt help and didnt offer any more assistance. I called the roadside assistance number again (took 30 minutes to get tru this time). They told me I had to drive it to the Budget office at the airport. I told them that I did not feel it was safe to drive. I ended up driving it to airport and they exchange the rental there. When I got to California and turned in the van (full of gas) they charged me $76 fuel charge because I drop off the vehicle with the bad tire on between 1/2 and 3/4 tank of gas.

Went to rent Budget Car Rental at Holiday Inn & Suites Across From Universal Orlando and was berated by a customer and the owner of the franchise did nothing. The general manager made me the aggressor and censored me while the other customer used racial slurs to give his side and when I used the same language the other customer used to me he told me to calm down! The manager also tried to sympathize with me and my fear by saying he understood because he’s dated black women before. I was also refused a rental because “I was the aggressor who escalated the situation “ when I never addressed the customer about the issue other than saying “Excuse me sir I am in line”.This was all done in front of my son. This was privilege and it is not okay!

If I could give budget rental car on Kirkman a 0 star rating I would!!! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! Made a reservation for a one way moving truck about a week in advanced. When we get there we were told two reservations were made, the one we personally made for 8 AM and one noon ( no idea how or when this one was made) . Well we arrived at 8:00 AM on the dot and they in fact dont have a truck for us at all. I get it sometimes mistakes happens but the customer service we received from their own mistake was awful. We did not get an apology or any type of concern at all. After a quick phone call she says We will have a truck for you in an hour. WHAT?! In my case today I did not have time to waste. I was moving four hours away TODAY and needed to arrive at a certain time to receive my keys. Once we expressed how much of an inconvenience this was we were told there was nothing else they could do. We opted to cancel after calling U-Haul, Budget didnt even seemed phased by this. The regional manager did happen to call us on the trip to U-Haul stating they would have the truck for us in 30 mins.....How did this change so quickly and why couldnt we be communicated to with any sign of compassion. Thank goodness we went to U-Haul because they gave us extremely satisfactory customer service even after bombarding them with a last minute rental. With being pushed back on time I am now sitting at my parent in laws house writing this review because we were not able to get to our destination in time! Thank you budget for now allowing me to tell all of my friends and family that U-Haul is the way to go, and yes I blame this location.

Horrible! Dont bother making a reservation here because they wont keep it for you. I had made a reservation with U-Haul at first and they were saving a truck for me. But, my husband insisted that we call Budget as well, because they might be a cheaper price. So, I call and talk to Marc at Budget on Kirkman and let him know that we are flying from Kansas to Orlando and we need a 24 ft to move all our things. He was very nice and even gave us a 10% discount. So, far so good. I call U-haul and cancel our reservation since we were getting $100.00 off. We made the reservation for Saturday at 10:00 am. As were in the the airport getting our connecting flight we receive a call from Marc stating that it will now be available at 12 noon. Cutting it pretty close on our hectic schedule but we are very patient people and decided to just get more friends to help us to get all our things loaded on time. We finally arrive to Orlando Friday night. The next morning we receive another call from Marc stating he has no trucks and is trying everything he can to find one. Its 1:00 pm and I still get no response. I start calling since we were already on a tight schedule and this is going to make it very hard on us. When I call they would pick up the phone and say, Please hold. And then they would put me on hold for 10 minutes. I would call again and they would just do the same thing over and over. The guy named Orlando kept just putting me on hold or hanging up on me without even talking to me. I then spoke to Bev and and she would just rudely tell me that Marcs on the other line that there is nothing she can do. And basically give me a hint that Im annoying her. I finally get a call back from Marc at around 2:30 pm that I have two options. They can rent me their 16 ft for $100.00 less or I can drive out to Davenport which is about an hour away to pick it up. I didnt have a car since I was just waiting on the truck and was staying close enough to their location. I called U-haul to see if we can have some kind of back up and they ran out of trucks. We had planned our whole trip around this reservation and they completely let us down. We had to pay more money to get a truck with U-haul at a farther location (including taxi money and last minute reservation fees). I will never use Budget again! So, buyer beware: If you make a reservation make sure you know that they probably wont have anything available for you.

Worst customer service ever. Called me 5 min before 9am (scheduled pick up time) to tell my they have cancelled my reservation that I booked online a week ago! Then when I call to ask if any other sizes are available there is no help and tell me to call different numbers. I will never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone. I will use their competitors all day long trust me!!!!!

I had a horrible experience at the Holiday location in Orlando. There is a rude lady called Beth who treated me so bad. She made me feel so uncomfortable the whole time. She treated me the same way you treat someone you hate. The worst part is she refused to rent me a car with the excuse my credit was bad. She ruined my day, wasted my time and money. I wish to put a 0 star to this location.I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE.

Quite a long wait to get someone to take care of us, but thats understandable. But blowing out 2 tires on a 16 foot trailer, thats giving us the worst truck on the lot. Next time I know to not take just any vehicle they offer...

Quick and efficient service. Vehicle as promised ready to go at pick up time. Not much signage for car rental though when you get in the lobby. You go past holiday inn reception and its beside their guest services to the right.

Mark and Christy were most helpful in working through a confusing rental. They worked with me to make sure our driving needs were met during our vacation. I am so thankful that they were willing to patiently and politely assist me and my family.

Very happy with the service and the car. Everything was according to the website except that I got a surprised uppgrade from a full size to an suv. No lame sales pitch at the counter about additional insurance for foreigners (wich has happend to me before in the us from another rental) and no hidden fees. Just everything I hoped for and helped make my vacation as great as it was. I recommend this Budget car rental.

Waited 1hr+ in line to get the car contract at 10:30 pm. They did not have car in my category so i « supposedly » got an upgrade. When we arrived at the car, we found out a beaten beige Elantra, full of scratches and a strong cigarette smell and as a bonus, the set of key had no remote unlocking fob. Had to wait in line another 30 minutes to exchange the car... This is my worst experience ever in renting a car. Definitively not recommended.

No problem with rental or staff, everything ok. There should be some information listed that the car rental is inside the hotel and not in its own building. Went nuts trying to return the car after picking it up in South Florida. There was no sign outside stating there was a budget counter inside. Had to ask a taxi driver who was sitting in a parking lot across the street from the hotel. He said that they had car rental counters in the hotels in the area. Otherwise, great rental from Budget and received nice discount booking thru Costco travel.

Good selection of cars, but the customer service is less than desirable. The agent who helped me was very dry, unfriendly, and uninviting - this is not good for a car rental company. Id rather pay more and get better service. With so many other choices, Id have to get a car from somewhere else.

Do not rent your car here. We came to pick up our pre scheduled vehicle and it took them an hour to get the car to us. This was with only three other customers picking up cars. I have no idea what they are doing but if you rent here be prepared to waste your vacation time waiting for your car.

The service was AWFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL, and I am not that hard to please. I had reserved a car months in advance and set the pickup time for 8 am right when thety open. When I arrived at 8 am, they were not even open. The front desk assistant showed up 35 minutes. At that time there was quite a few angry customers. When it was my turn, they didnt even have the car I reserved month in advance. I RESERVED it, how did they not have it? The front desk assistant said his name was orlando (not sure if I believe him) said its not our problem Ill give you what I have. What is the point of reserving then?. It took them 1 hour 30 min to get me a car. In addition, they charger me the higher price for the one i previously reserved, NOT the one they gave me which was $40 dollars cheaper online. When I confronted them about it, they just said I had to contact to customer service and that it was once again not his problem. On drop off he was LATE AGAIN by 45 minutes. There were people there that had to take flights in the morning. This place was a joke, I wouldnt go here or recommend that anyone doe so.

We would give NO STARS if we could. After our flight from Norfolk to Orlando we went to Budget FASTBREAK to pick up our PREPAID car in the garage as instructed. There was no one ...absolutely no one...out of all these people in their office who could check us in. So my husband had to walk all the way back out of the garage and back into the airport through that maze to get help and walk allll the way back on a 90 degree day! And on top of it the people working there had an attitude! Budget sucks!!!

Horrible customer service!! There wasnt a long line when i got there at 11am but I waited 35-40 mins when I got there to pick my vehicle up and there was only 1 person In front of me. The salesman named Mark was explaining every little detail to the person in front of me as if they were merely a child and Mark didnt seem to care about me complaining about my wait...my reservation was for a full size vehicle... the 2nd salesman whose name is Orlando was no where around the whole time.. Mark began to explain to me how they were out of this and that and gave me an INTERMEDIATE vehicle (elantra) but still charged me for my original reservation for a FULL size vehicle..Orlando finally shows up after all is said and done, imagine that!!...not to mention, the vehicle didnt even have an alarm key..so I had to unlock the door with the actual car key itself...i was pressed for time and pissed off and didnt want to go back in and deal with them again...avoid this specific location!!!! Ive rented from budget and Avis plenty of times and have never had an experience like this !!!!
