My normal mechanic was really busy so I decided to give AAMCO a shot. I had a traction control and brake light coming on in my car. They looked at it and said I needed all 4 brakes and rotors replaced, which seemed suspicious to me because I had just replaced the front brakes 2 years ago. I decided to wait because I thought there was a good chance they were just trying to make money off of me by saying I needed to get more work done on my car than it really needed. (They said it would have been around 800$ to replace all four). So I decided to wait and see my normal mechanic. He said all that needed replacing was my back break pads. No rotors, or front brake pads. He replaced the back break pads and everything is working great now. Its hard to find honest people in this industry, and it turns out AAMCO is not one of them, not at this location at least. I will not consider ever taking my car back to AAMCO after this experience.

He listened to my issues and took care of every problem and even one I forgot to mention to him! Had an issue while trying to refill the freon in my AC. Went to them for help and Robert showed me exactly what I was doing wrong and what I need to do to fix it. It was a $20 repair I did myself but he could have definitely charged me and made some stuff up, but he was honest helpful and didnt charge me anything. Super nice guy and great service

Decided to give this company a try. Could not be more pleased. Was worried about cost,but as the saying goes. You get what you pay for. Without a doubt five stars for being Professionals, Great customer service, the Techs are every bit of that word. They know and will break it down real simple. The Mgr is on point. Took my Jag in they told me first what needed to be done before they tore into it. Fixed it in a few days and gave me a good rate and I was able to pay in payments. So I took my SS Monty in, they did the same for it. It not only needed a transmission but they fixed everything thing else on it and was back rolling in a week. With warranty. A year later my jag was acting up so I took it to them. They diagnosed my car to find out it wasnt my transmission, gave me a printout of the problem and gave me a quote to fix it and didnt even charge me. Jay will give it to you straight NO NONSENSE!!

Well I had a remanufactured transmission put in about 50k miles ago and its already burned up. I just cant believe it and the warranty aint that great. They could do better.

I went in today around 1, told the manager I had an appointment, and he politely told me to wait a few moments while he was finishing up with a costumer. Jay was very friendly and personable while helping them. A few minutes later he was able to help me. I went in for a quick check and he was helpful and polite. I brought in my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. The check engine light was on with a code for the catalytic converter. The guy at the service desk checked it in. We had hoped it was something else. It actually was the cat along with a few things we didnt know. It took awhile since the cats were custom fit to the car and shipping was delayed due to COVID. He never once seemed annoyed when I called for updates. He even found that the timing belt was going bad and worked with CarHop to get it fixed (which is a nightmare). I absolutely will continue to go to this AAMCO for servicing our vehicles. My car runs like a brand new vehicle. So kind and easy to work with. They even have several great financing options!

We are traveling in our Class C RV & noticed a leak yesterday in Iowa. Called Jay and he got us in with Scott shortly after 9 am this morning. Even had a large bay with a lift to work on our 28 RV! Scott found the problem with the oil cooler, got the parts and fixed it up - done by 1 pm! These guys are honest, efficient & professional! Highly recommend!!!

I was on my way from Colorado to Michigan for a wedding and my clutch started slipping on a Colorado mountain pass. I was fortunate to make it to Omaha with the condition of my clutch. My partner and I had limited vacation days, so we needed a new clutch quick. This AAMCO location in Omaha was able to get us back on the road the same day! We made the wedding and had the time of our lives. This AAMCO is personable, efficient, and reasonably priced. I was on a road trip from DC to CA with a side trip planned to Yellowstone when my 20102 Nissan Sentra developed transmission trouble which turned out to require a complete transmission rebuild. I was referred to this shop and Jay... he took us under his wing, promised to be available to answer questions, help look for hotels if needed and all that. Customer service was bar none! He helped explain what was required and made sure that we would be able to finish our trip. I couldn’t have been more pleased with how much of a “non-event” this turned out to be... sure it took one and half days... but in the greater scheme of things, it couldn’t have gone better. I highly recommend this shop and Jay. You will get stellar service!

The absolute greatest experience I’ve ever had in car repairs. Jay & Joe are the best and are real with you. Even when I had financial problems in trying to pay due to problems with my extended warranty, they went above and beyond in working with me and I would 1000% recommend them for transmission repair or any repairs in general. Oh by the way they beat another estimate from another transmission repair company by $700 - $1100 with a 3 year warranty as well. I have been an AAMCO customer for about five years now, and they take great care of my truck. I would definitely recommend Jay and his crew, they have done my transmission maintenance for me over the years and most recently rebuilt my transfer case. Jay was excellent about explaining my options for payment including the option to finance with AAMCOs card. He was realistic, honest and concise and most importantly low pressure which is often hard to find at a service center. Being a female with any kind of vehicle issue can be frustrating because people at the service counters are often annoyed with questions. Jay was great about walking through all of my questions and explaining exactly how their process would work. AWESOME WORK!!! I took my truck to Jay with what I thought was transmission issues due to the way my truck was driving. Jay and his team took their time to diagnose my truck and found it was all brake work. I had to replace wheel bearings calipers rotors brakes and ball joints. They went above and beyond and explained to me why this and this was happening and fixed my truck and had me back on the road safely in no time so I could make my trip to Branson. 1.0 star ratingI first took my car in to get fixed on January 10th 2021 to get a Transmition put in. Paid over $3000 was going to get the reminder what was need to be fixed in the next week or so When I have additional funds to do so. I got my car back in by January 21 youre still acting up like nothing has been fixed I contacted Jay (the agent that works the front counter on the 21st. Jay said he was busy and would contact me the next day with prices. The next day came and went with no contact. I waited until January 23rd (again no contact from the 21st) to see AGAIN what it would cost to fix the solenoids! Yet again no response! Reached out again on January 24th. To my shock I finally get a response say he was in Chicago and will get me prices when he comes back on Monday!Yet again no response and another 5 days go by. I reach out again to Jay on January 29th. Now jay is Conveniently in the hospital and yet again told he will get me prices. (Again I had already paid the money to have my car looked at ontop over the $3000 plus dollars for the previous work. I had no updates so on February 4th again reached out to jay no response. Reached out again later that day. To my shock I got a response saying he is waiting on prices ( really weeks later ?) and he will call me. February 5 and 6 NO CAll back. Reached out again on the 7th NO call back. Reached out again on February 10th. No response back reached out again on February 12th finally get a response saying I need to bring my car in so you can see what solenoid it is. When for weeks Jay has been saying he is waiting on prices finally got my car in (almost a month later of being dismissed from Jay) and was told its going to be another $1,300 that they need to order the parts and can get it in the shop on Monday February 24th. I said. Are you able to do it all in one day. I work 6am to 3pm and then run straight to work to pick up my kid from school. I was told no problem it takes 4 hours to work on it they will pick up my car from work and bring it back in plenty of time. Not only am I a single mom takingCare of my son alone I have a father battling cancer that I take to his radiation appointments he has daily in the evening since they are open till 7pm jay told me to call him on my lunch which is between 1 and 2. Remind you I get off at 3pm. When I call Im told my car didnt get picked up till 11am and they didnt get back till 1pm to get looked at so I wont have my car when I get off work. Which means I have no way to get my child from school. I was told my car would be done before 5 pm to come on down. So I had to scramble to find a Uber since I was getting of work in an hour and the had to ubber to get my kid and go home also. I find a ride to go pick up my car at 5 pm like I was told. Get a txt at 4:48pm (while my ride is pulling into Amcoo parking lot) jay said my car still wasnt done and they just realized 20 minutes ago they had the wrong parts. So yet again Im having to take an Uber with my dad to get him to his treatments. Then I will have to Uber to work, after work to get my kid then Uber to get my car. If its actually fixed this time and I get it back. I would never Recommend this place not even to my worst enemy. Jay Its completely, condescending lies, and goes back on what he said saying he never did that. Thats why I have every Text message I could because I dont do business with him over the phone because he tries to pull fast ones on people. Stay away from this shady business

I just had my 100,000 mile check-up on my 2010 Chevy Camaro SS done by the Millard AAMCO team and Jason. They did excellent work. Car runs smooth, accelerates as it did when it was brand new, brakes work excellently and it handles well on turns. I feel I have my car back to the original level when I purchased it.

The manager Jay is awesome!!! It took a little longer than I expected to get my car repaired( due to dealing with the warranty company and being on their time). Over the 2 weeks time spand I must have called Jay 100+ times. He was always polite. He never acted as if I was bugging him. He even took the time to break down the warranty process in a way that I could understand. After everything was done and it was time for me to pick up my car Jay waited after hours for me to come because they would be closed for the weekend. Hes one of the few people left in this world that still cares. Thanks a lot Jay youre the best.

HONESTY. INTEGRITY. EXCELLENT WORK. WARRANTY. FAIR PRICE.With over 470,000 miles on my 98 turbodiesel VW Jetta, I wasnt surprised the transmission was wearing out - but I didnt expect it to die on I-80, in Nebraska, at midnight. The car knocked, shook, swerved, lurched, and rattled - at 40 mph - for 200 miles into Omaha. The good folks at Baxter VW could neither fix, replace, nor find transmission parts for a 21 year-old car. I needed to drive on in a rental car and couldnt return for three weeks. So the VW dealer towed my car to Jay at the nearby AAMCO at 60th and L Street. He WAS able to order parts, and completely rebuilt the transmission within a few days. I called several times, but Jay wouldnt even take any money from me, until I picked up the car in person. Right then I knew I was dealing with an extraordinary person at an extraordinary repair shop. The rebuilt transmission feels like its brand new, shifts perfectly, and allowed me to glide over the 11,000 ft high mountain passes in Colorado at 60 mph, like melted butter on teflon. Highest recommendation possible. I wish I could give ten stars, instead of five.

My family started bringing their vehicles to AAMCO a little over a year ago. Overall, weve had great experiences. Robert has always been helpful, honest, and fair. Instead of trying to figure out where to take our cars, we already know where well be taking them.A few months ago, I had some bad oil leaks and issues with my ball joints. The price for the whole job was equal to how much I had payed a few years ago to fix some oil leaks. I have been happy and trust them with my vehicle.They tend to keep busy, so calling before taking in your vehicle is a good idea.

Bought a camper van with transmission with about 2400 mi on it since the rebuild from 7/31/15. failed after me putting 600 miles on and and was out. Of 12 mo warranty. They offered. To do it fr half off if I towed. It home 160 miles which would have been the same and refused. To work with a amco in Des Moines on parts. Would never go there ever!

I took my car in because the gear shifter had worked its way out of the pattern and was missing third. Its not often someone can tell you repairs will be $5000 and you feel good about the experience...but it happened to me. I took my Escalade to AAMCO on 60th & L because the Google Reviews glowed about the service. Those reviews didnt do it justice. Jay was friendly, humble, thorough, and informative. My over 200,000 mile SUV needed a new transmission, radiator leaks repaired, and oil pan. Later, I learned that it also needed steering repairs. Jay was proactive in communications with me, giving me multiple options and prices along the way. To ease the pain of such a large repair, he included some of the lesser fixes free of charge. Its difficult to measure the value of feeling secure that your vehicle is in the hands of a team that cares. I highly recommend choosing this shop when you need repairs done right and second to none service!

Well they must need more workers or something Ive been their twice and called twice about getting a simple 15min car inspection. On the phone they didnt even tell me if they was busy until I got to the building.

A joke for a business. The transmission went out on my husbands car. Well, we took it to AAMCO and they stated, the transmission would be rebuilt for $1,800 but they were willing to work out payments with us. So after all was said and done(many phonecalls, shady customer service, unreturned phone calls), we finally got the car back. Well, it turns out the transmission still slips while they claim everything is rebuilt. We took it back 3 times over the past year(to which they charged us for taking it in on top of the 1800 they had charged us already) and they supposedly either cant find anything wrong with it or claim to fix what was wrong with it. Here we are 1 year later with the same problem. Never again with this business. My husband knows a man who works on transmissions, well he went under there and inspected everything and he said it WAS NOT rebuilt! AAMCO lied to us and ripped us off. Dont take your vehicle here please.

I had an issue with my Blazer and had no idea as to what the issue could be. Aamco came and towed my truck to their shop, gave it a diagnosis, and called to let me know what they discovered. Boom! A blown transmission. They done an awesome job fixing the problem and are very courteous. I gave them 4 stars as the 5th star would of been, if they done a courtesy check on my truck. My tires could of used some air. Lol. So little things like that,can make it easily a 5 star with the services I received.

I was really excited to drop of my car to get the transmission checked and the free diagnostic. I was there before they opened to drop it off. The guy at the desk said he would call me between noon and 1pm. I called at about 4 and it wasnt done yet, but he told me that it drove ok he just needed more time. I said no problem, I dont need it today. So the next day, I expected a phone call in the morning with an update. No phone call. So I stopped up around 1245 on my lunch break and checked on it. It still wasnt done but he wanted me to have them rebuild my transmission and he gave me a quote There was one more quick test they needed to do, and I would receive a call in the next couple hours on this. I did not like the customer service I was receiving, and that price seemed steep so I did some research and found some better shops to go to. I called at 450pm to find out the status and he said he had 2 calls on hold and he would call me back in less than 15 minutes. Half hour later I stopped in, to find him walking around the office, smelling like a fresh cigarette. I asked for a copy of the diagnostic report so I could discuss options with my other half, since it was a pricey quote. He told me it was his record and that I could not get a copy at that time. I could come back the next day and he would give me a copy after filling out a credit form for financing. I rolled my eyes and walked out. I am not going to pay someone over $2000 to fix something on my car, when they cant return my calls or give me information about my vehicle. In fact, I have not gotten a quote higher than what he gave me.

I left my car here to inspect the free diagnostics check. These guys told me Sir you have to leave your car for 2 hours. I left it in the morning at 8:00 am went over there at noon my car was never moved from the place where I parked it. They told me we are busy please come at 3:00 pm, I came back at 3:00 pm they told me some other reason. I again came back at 5:30 pm they told me sir your car is perfect no issues. and made me fool. I thought they have never touched my car and get it check somewhere else same day and came to know that my radiator was bad but they never touched my car and wasted my whole complete day without checking anything and lieing to me. I would never recommend not to waste your time over here instead go somewhere else. Bunch of liars on this store and they lost my trust in AMMCO.

Robert is absolutely fantastic in both his ability to make you feel comfortable and to share his knowledge and expertise in order to let you know his team knows what they are doing. Not only do they quote and do the work within the quoted price but they do all of any additional necessary adjustments and pay super attention to the smallest details. My transmission was not only failing to move my Ryder truck 94 e350 cutaway van but it was also giving false readings and communication to my 460 engine causing a lean burn stumble or hiccup under load conditions. By repairing, reinstalling and reprogramming my transmission computer it also fixed the engine situation as well. I can only say one thing.......AWESOME JOB GUYS! A+ rating. These guys are simply GOOD!
