I have been to many salons and have always had my hair colored and highlighted, but I never get results like I did last week at One Salon. I got a last minute appt with Holly. She is a very sweet, fun energetic young lady and absolutely gave me the best color hair I have ever had ! What gray? This Salon is new to me, but Im not going anywhere else. Thank you Holly...love my hair!

Never had a bad experience with any stylists Ive seen but I highly recommend Sarah W. She recently cut and colored my hair and she did such a lovely job. I cant stop taking photos, I absolutely love my hair. Tysm!

I took my daughter here to have her hair bleached and have pink tips added. This was the worst experience ever. What was supposed to be a 4 hour appointment took 7 hours, and she left without any pink! Even after a consultation, the stylist had no idea how to approach bleaching hair. She was incredibly slow with EVERYTHING. It even toik an hour and a half to cut off 4 inches of hair, and my daughter has straight hair. This salon may be good but be careful who your stylist is. Because she took so long a $250 job cost me over $609! Crazy!! Then, the icing on the cake was the manager who would not even listen. She was incredibly defensive, no matter how nicely I approached her. Dont go here unless you have money to burn and a day of vacation you want to take.

Erica H is my favorite stylist at One Salon. She always does an amazing job with my hair and making it exactly what I want and giving it what it needs. I am never disappointed. Everyone at One Salon is friendly and professional. The salon offers quality products and its always very clean. Thank you so much!

Horrendous first experience. I booked an appointment for a Perm AND a mens haircut and style. I get there and theres construction and the entrance is blocked off completely. Unable to find a way to the Salon I was forced to park behind a Wendys and walk. The door you enter in is not marked at all as the entrance and located on the side of the building making me feel like I was going in a side door I shouldnt have been entering through. I only have hair long enough to perm on the top of my head, as most mens styles have it short on the sides and back. I wait to be seen and they take me to cut my hair. Im unsure if I should be having the sides and back cut before the perm or after but I inform the lady that I came for a perm and would like the sides and back faded up to the top where it will be permed. She says she only cuts hair she will see if someone is available to do my perm. Nobody is available. How is that possible if I booked a Perm AND a haircut, not just a haircut? Shouldnt the person booked to do my Perm be available? Waste of my time. 👎 Think Ill look elsewhere for the services I want.

I love One Salon. I highly recommend Holly. She was able to color my hair the perfect shade of red that other salons couldnt do. She was able to look at my reference picture and tweak it to complement my skin tone. I have never been complimented more in my life! Every person I see complements my hair. If you want to leave a salon looking your best, I highly recommend booking an appointment with Holly.

Absolutely love it here!! All staff are really professional but at that same time make you feel like family and home. Thanks to you and your staff now not only do I have the look that I wanted but also gained a second family!!

Erica H. is a rockstar! I always leave feeling like a queen. I have never felt more comfortable expressing my hair concerns to a stylist, and she goes above and beyond to make sure I’m happy with my service. I highly recommend her for highlights, balayage, and extensions! On top of it, the salon staff is incredibly professional and welcoming.

This was my first time at OneSalon in Novi or any salon like this for that matter. Jessica far exceeded my expectations. She listened, was very attentive, she looked out for my best interests, and she did a very thorough job. I had what I believe is called dimensional blonding and it turned out great. Simplicity, low maintenance, and more natural is what I was going for, and she did just that.

This was my first time coming to this salon, since moving to the area a few months before the pandemic. Needless to say, my hair was not in great shape. Ashley did a fantastic job. She was so personable, professional, clean, and gave me great suggestions and recommendations based on my hair. It really felt like she was listening to my concerns/needs. I was honestly blown away. The whole experience was so pleasant and I am so happy to have found a place and hair designer that I am excited about!

Highly recommend this place for a mens cut however they obviously provide many other services. Wide open layout with what I heard was over 40 stylists on staff. They have many great mens hair styling products available for purchase. I suggest booking with Jenny. She was fantastic, took her time, and paid attention to detail. Very happy customer!

I just had my first hair cut and eyebrows done and the girls did an amazing job! If you go bring cash for a tip, you can’t tip them on credit cards. I wish they would have told me that tip is cash only before my appointment.

Lively salon with lovely decor. Very polite staff. My stylist, Holly, was absolutely wonderful. Not only was she very punctual, she was also extremely knowledgeable and very savvy. Honestly I came in with an idea for one style, after about 5 minutes of talking it over, she suggested a few things that I never would have thought of. After its all said and done Im ecstatic with how I look, and its all thanks to her! Keep up the great work and Ill absolutely be booking another appointment as soon as I need it!

New favorite place to get my hair cut. The salon is very large with a modern yet classy design, and the lighting is AMAZING!!! Cool selection of Detroit clothing and artwork. The stylists here are pleasant and one of a kind.

If you can get in with Sarah Willacker, do it!! She absolutely killed my color correction and cut, and was so nice and fun to be around. I highly recommend her for any of your hair care needs. Also Abby, the manager on duty, was very understanding and took the time to listen and make sure I left as happy. Those two together pretty much sealed the deal and have me coming back. Mandy is amazing here! she has a way with color that is absolutely tops! She has a tight schedule, but see if you can get her if you want something fun and amazing with color and cut. She has given me some great cuts that just keep giving as they grow out.

Love this salon. Full service salon, so many stylists, also like the shopping you can do there since they support local artists you can find cute one of a kind things here. My stylist, Holly, is such a doll. Genuinely great Vibes, always knows the cut and style im going for, highly recommend this place.

I was referred to One Salon after the need to find a new stylist. I have been in the lightening process for a bit now and haven’t seen great results, so naturally I was weary finding a new, permanent stylist/ salon. Andrea highlighted and trimmed my hair. I can’t even begin to explain how pleased I am with the result! From the word go, she was SO informative and knew instantly exactly what I wanted!! I’m sometimes picky (due to a few bad occasions with my old stylist) and I am ecstatic that I have finally found someone who perfects this art! To top it off, she was super courteous and treated me great while listening to me talk her ears off asking questions about products and techniques. I was happier with my hair today than I have ever been and that is not an over exaggeration! The salon was GORGEOUS, the whole staff was awesome, and the price points are exactly where they should be for their great work. Looking forward to my next appointment and I would definitely recommend booking with this salon!

I have been going to One Salon for years and I wont go anywhere else. The stylists are well trained and on top of the most trendy styles. They have amazing artistic talents and take their jobs very seriously, but also have fun doing what they do. The salon itself is a really cool building where anyone can feel comfortable.

The stylist destroyed my hair. I have hair on the thinner/delicate side. I went in for a blowout and a curl. She did good with washing it, did not spend much time on massaging scalp. When blowdrying she was very rough and careless, a lot of my hair strands broke. I asked her to curl my hair a certain way, she promised she would do tighter, longer curls, but in the end it was mostly straight with waves and a lot of split ends. Not pleasant to talk to. Will not go back. Reception was at least very pleasant.

Melissa Mason is a color artist! She is fabulous! She took me from brown to a stunning and vibrant red with red highlights mixed in. The color is absolutely beautiful! Really sweet lady who knows what shes doing. I had no idea what red I wanted, so she showed me some hair swatches and she took it from there. Wont go anywhere else again! Thank you Melissa!

I requested a stylist who can handle a hair challenge. They set me up with Kara. She listened to my hair issues and gave me a flattering cut that got my hair back on track. Unfortunately Kara is not at One Salon anymore, but I had a pleasant experience there.

Worst haircut ever! I have naturally straight hair and had never used any hair straightener in my life. Couldnt understand why the stylist would spend almost half an hour blow drying and styling my hair first, and then only started cutting after flattening my hair using a flat iron. When I came out of the salon, my friend said I looked like the assassin from Kill Bill. And of course, everything only looked ten times worse after I washed my hair home (one side was longer and the bangs were way too short that they barely covered my forehead lol). In my honest opinion, some stylists there are just event stylists/hair colorists who dont necessarily have the skills or experiences to also cut hair.

I come here to have Heather domy nails, and shes always such lovely company, as well as EXCELLENT at what she does. Id recommend this place to anyone!

I’ve been there some times and for my surprise now they are calling me asking for advanced deposit if I want to book with any professional! What???? Pay in advance for a service? I never did that and for even more surprise they are asking this only for me! Yes, some friends did appointment and no one call them asking deposit. I am Brazilian and they are asking advanced payment only for me and also they blocked me to make any appointment through their website!!!! That’s unacceptable!!! What a shame! Upset since I liked the professional and the salon and always payed all service received there. This is Bullying!

Erika, I will definately be seeing you again! I dyed my hair for the first time and wanted to go to someone who knew what they were doing. Erika guided me in the right direction and even offered gentle feedback when I initially chose my new color. She explained to me that it would not turn out how I envisioned after a month of having it and suggested a slightly different color for me. I LOVE IT.

Ive gone to many salons and Ive always hated it. The staffs are always pretentious and so are their clients. Not really my thing. I always end up back with my local barber. However, I gave One Salon a try about 2 years ago at the urging of my girlfriend. I was amazed at the atmosphere. Very relaxed, very chill. Everyone seemed happy. The staff was fun and quirky, they were real people. I would recommend this place to anyone. Its a refreshing departure from the usual snotty salon culture.

Emily Jayde is amazing!! She is very knowledgeable and up on the newest hair trends. This was my first time at One Salon, it’s beautiful, upbeat welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff!

Sarah willacker mostly does colors sessions but she still shines bright in the cut and style department decent price for a well above average cut well worth every penny. All staff are friendly and welcoming.

Front desk staff argued with me about price I had been given over the phone, making me sound like I was making it up. I wrote the numbers down. I didnt just pull them out of thin air. They were really rude.especially the black guy and dark haired girl with tattoos on her neck. Stylist SaraW was very accommodating when it came to helping my daughter get the color she wanted.

I am fairly new to Michigan and I have been having a difficult time finding a hair stylist that does a great job with my hair. After trying a few different salons and reading hundreds of reviews of salons in the area, I decided to make an appointment with Lauren at One Salon. My appointment was at 1:15 and someone from the salon called me around 12:30 to let me know that she was running about 15 minutes behind. So, I arrived around 1:20 and checked in. At 1:50, Lauren had not come to get me for my appointment yet, so I checked in with the front desk again. They were very polite and helpful in resolving the extra 20 minute delay. Before the actual hair cut, Lauren spent a good amount of time discussing my hair with me and discussing my mediocre experiences at the other salons. This was very reassuring and refreshing to me. She spent a good amount of time on my hair and did not rush through the cut, and I am very happy with the result. Lauren did a great job and she was very personable and welcoming. I am giving my review 4 stars instead of 5, because my appointment was at 1:15, got changed to 1:30 and then I had to recheck in at the front desk at 1:50 to see what was going on, which was a little unfortunate for my first appointment with them, but I definitely be returning.

Received a call less than 24 hours before my appointment that my stylist (the owner!!) would not be in and I needed to reschedule. Really?? I made my appointment WEEKS prior. No explanation, no excuse, just that the owner cancelled her appointments for the day. Expected something more professional by the owner of this business. Will not be returning to this salon.

Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for in that the hair is done right and the staff is great. Talented stylists, great atmosphere, and accommodating environment. Good selection of hair products, good hours, good parking. Ask for Amy if you like fun or crazy colors.

I’ve been here a couple times to see Emily Jayde. She is fantastic! Super friendly and honest. I wanted to go from dark brown to ash blonde and she was very clear with me the process and even though I couldn’t do it in one session, we started working towards my hair goals and I’ve walked out of the salon feeling fabulous every time.

I moved to the Novi area almost a year ago and needed to find a new salon. Im so glad that I found One Salon! They always have great service and very talented staff there. I see Lauren W but I have had a few other stylist that did a great job as well!I love the color line they have there!! The appointments do go fast so make sure you book right away and also they now only allow tipping in cash.

I love my hair stylist!! I would follow her anywhere. I Did like this salon a lot until the last year or so. They book my stylist so close together she seems stressed to get me done and it seems like I am being pushed out of there (no fault of hers) because her next appointment is sitting there waiting for her. Also, I was there recently and the girl at the front desk finished her personal text message on her cell phone while I stood there waiting to get check out. So unprofessional! I will still go here because I love my stylist but I do NOT love this salon anymore.

If you prefer a small personal and quiet salon ..this place is not for you.This salon is huge..full service . lots of choice for stylists colorists...waxing make up...everything you do not need but may want to look a new or different you.

Love this place. While trendy, not weird. Theres music... real music, playing in the background, not blasting loud weird or techno or any other strange or offensive music. Ive been told they dont play that weird stuff but they do allow their stylists to take turns on what music they might like to listen to all day. I dont necessarily listen to the music they were playing but at least it wasnt obnoxious, offensive or loud. That makes a huge difference in how I feel about a place. Thank you One Salon for your wisdom on this one. Oh and my stylist had never worked on me before and i wanted a whole new style and I was taking it short. I can honestly say she was wonderful about working withme on this style change step by step. Loved her, and love my new hair style!
