My family really enjoyed going there until we chose to get Balayages for my mother and then foiled highlights for my daughter. I didn’t like the results for my mother’s hairs so i thought maybe it was the techniques fault. Then we decided to have foiled highlight service for my daughter’s hairs. I am extremely dissatisfied/unhappy with the results. Tip is also a big issue at this place and they always want it in cash. What if someone doesn’t have cash, feels embarrassed, want to tip with the debit card and you keep on arguing with the father who’s there to pick up her 13 year old daughter. Come on guy’s you could do better right. A guy who could pay $247 for an average haircut and sub standard highlights was definitely able to pay forced tip. Not only you lost regular customers but you also lost an opportunity to learn how to treat hairs from diverse ethnicity.

My son gave me a color and style for my birthday. After a year plus, with nothing done to my hair,(I think he was tired of looking at me on zoom.) Emily took lots of her time helping me choose a color, showing me swatches, and then coloring my hair. John spent two hours cutting and styling my hair.My son was so happy, he said I look many years younger. A success for all!

I was referral to this place, because this time my stylist was too busy to correct my hair and I need it ASAP for a photo shoot I am doing in a few days. Anyways, I tried it and it was pretty interesting. The place is really nice and everyone was very nice and professional. Everyone there had their own speciality. I needed my hair lighter around my face... The new stylist used a technique from Paris called “Balayage”, (basically its highlights without the foil, but using plastic and the bleach is painted on). I loved it. It was different and the stylist said it will last longer (photos attached).Although it was a pleasant place, I still like my current stylist.Overall, I enjoyed my time here and may go back just because of the coupons they gave me for the next three visits.Prices: a bit high (but it made me realize the place I currently go to is around the same price or higher?!)Parking: the lot gets pretty busy. It is a very busy intersection, so leave early for your appointment.

In my opinion, this is the best salon in Metro Detroit. No matter your colourist or stylist, you can be sure you are getting top notch service. They never disappoint...and if there is truly a problem, they will fix it to your satisfaction. Everyone is friendly from the desk staff to the greeter who checks you in....all are professional and do the utmost to please. I have been coming there for 30 years and wouldn’t even think of going elsewhere.

Explained to color expert that i wanted highlights to blend in with my natural hair., wanting to have my natural color. Showed her a picture and told her want i wanted, got the usual oh thats going to take you at least a year bs. So what you want is for me to come back 6x and give you 200$. Walked out a gross brassy blond, instead of the grey with some white highlights around my face. Very disappointed.

My first time visiting this salon was last Saturday, and let me tell you how impressed I was. Before I even walked in the door, they came out to greet me and perform the Covid health screening -I immediately felt safe and at ease knowing they were taking ALL the necessary precautions: A+!! I had an eyebrow wax appt with Julia and she was AWESOME!! First off, she did an amazing job on my eyebrows and second, she is funny, inviting and warm, she has a professional attitude with a personal friend touch about her A++!! I will definitely see her again -KUDOS to Gina Agosta Salon for an excellent atmosphere and a beautiful salon!!

I have been going to this salon for over 10 years. I am always warmly greeted when walking in and offered something to drink. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting and the salon is always clean and bright. I believe their prices to be quite reasonable compared to other salons. Sara Jayne is my color specialist. She does my highlights/color. She knows what I like but always takes the time to listen first and will sometimes make suggestions to change things up a bit for whatever season it is. I am glad I can trust her and I am never disappointed. I always feel fresh and updated when I leave. I have also had several of the stylists cut and blow dry my hair because my schedule doesnt always allow me to see the same stylist . They are all professional and do a wonderful job. The stylists and colorists are consistently updated in new techniques to be able to provide the latest hair style trends. I do not hesitate to give the Gina Agosta Salon a 5-star rating and have recommended them to many family and friends.

This is my first time with Gina Agosta Salon and I totally loved the way Linda did my hair cut. Im very picky about my hair stylist and when I chose this place I was very nervous and was not sure if my hair cut is gonna go well as I wanted. The first thing that caught my attention was their ratings and reviews. 280+ reviews wouldnt happened if they werent so good. Next, the moment I stepped in the salon these people made me so comfortable. Tour of the entire salon, their ambiance and care towards their customers are the things that I was impressed with. Linda is very talented and she definitely has magic in her hands. She gave me a total new look and I couldnt ask for more. All my friends are going wow over my new hairstyle. I have been going to Gina Agosta Salon for almost 10 years and have always had a fantastic experience! Kate does the best color-she is so professional and makes sure my hair always looks EXACTLY the way I want. She is very personable and makes you feel comfortable right away! Jenna is my stylist and always has a smile! Having curly hair I have gotten used to the curly look that I expected when having my hair cut at other salons. Jenna has given me some ideas on other options as well as advice as to what would look good and not always the same. An excellent overall experience!

4 attempts to highlight my hair and I was left with no highlights in the back, oddly placed highlights on the side in 3 different colors, and a blonde stripe down the center back of my head.

Just had another haircut from Nita and I cannot express enough on how talented and amazing she is. From the first time she cut my hair around a year ago onward, she will know exactly what you want and leave you feeling great. Youll be pleased if you take the opportunity to see what cut and style she envisions for you. (it will be better than what you idealize for yourself). This was my salon for at least 4 years. I had an every 5 week appointment. This past September there was a very bad storm . Power lines were down and it was very windy and storming outside. I called the salon to see if they had power and I headed in.There was a power line across the road with ambulances and fire trucks all around. Traffic was being detoured. I use Waze and was given a new time at my destination. I was going to be 15 minutes late. Out of courtesy, I called the salon to let them know. The receptionist said hold on and came back to tell me that they can’t make other clients late so did I want to reschedule? I was in complete shock. I questioned her and her customer service skills were definitely not on point. I told her I would be finding a new salon. Her answer was “ok”.I think what disappoints me the most is that not one employee from the salon has ever contacted me. I surely would hope my stylist and colorist realized I never returned. Life happens and being 15 minutes late is not outrageous. It is important to note that I have had to wait for the colorist more than 15 minutes in the past. It is not like their appointments run exact, like clockwork.

Frequent manicures have become an opportunity to treat myself and feel special; Paige is my manicurist. I havent had manicures in many years but had a specific look in mind. Upon our first meeting, Paige quickly understood the desired results I was requesting; short, neat, dark polish. After shaping & prepping my nails for polish, I chose a beautiful navy blue color and I love them! I receive so many compliments on my nails and I owe it to Paige, her talent, & her professionalism.

I finally found a place where I get the service Ive been looking for. Not only do I get excellent service for my hair color and for hair cut, but I get it done for a reasonable price. I drive from Pleasant Ridge to go there - worth the extra miles. I smile on the drive there knowing when I leave I will be so pleased with the outcome. I have yet to try their other services. Im sure they will be just as excellent and professional as the hair color and cut.

Ive been getting my hair cut here for the past 12 years and my color done here for the past 5 years, I see Nita for cut and Elle for color. I have never once been unhappy with their work, they are both incredibly talented and sweet!! I always get compliments on my hair and Ive always felt that I get my moneys worth! I have been a customer of the salon since it first opened and have yet to find a salon that can compare to Gina Agosta. All of the haircolorists and stylists are knowledgeable and up-to-date on the latest techniques and styles. My colorist, Kate, has been doing my color for over 20 years and I dont know what I would do without her! Of course, from time to time, others have had to color my hair in Kates absence and I can say that I have never been disappointed or dissatisfied with any colorist on staff. Gina Agosta Salon thoroughly trains their staff and everyone is not only competent and skilled in their field, but polite and professional, as well. The salon is beautiful, too. They are constantly updating and freshening up the look and it is immaculate when it comes to cleanliness!I recently began seeing John for my haircut and I dont know what took me so long to make the move from a different salon to Ginas for my haircuts! John listens to what the customer has in mind and is honest in his opinion as to whether or not it would work well. He is an artist when it comes to cutting. He makes it easy for the client to maintain a hairstyle and always look as if she has just come from the salon! The front desk staff is always accommodating and helpful in making and/or rescheduling appointments and are always cordial. It is both a pleasure and a mini-escape from the real world when visiting this salon!

This is the best salon I have ever used. They have terrific stylists and colorists and I also enjoy other services there. They make you feel like a guest in a luxury spa. I think that this salon is the best run salon in town and I have been to others but not in the last 8 or 9 years. Once I started here, I was hooked.

Awesome experience .. Yesterday I went for base coloring my hair. Very clean salon and service is five star. Thanks to Devin and Melissa. They just did wonderful work in coloring and blow drying. I will surely come over here again and again. I drove 25 miles from my home to the salon but I would really say it was worth it. I am very much satisfied with the service.

I am a bit bohemian and dont do much with my hair at all (other than add some lavender streaks every now and then). Every time I get it cut, I am unhappy with the results. So I avoid salons. My hair was too long, un-styled and made me look older. My sister told me to go see her stylist Jenna. I booked an appointment. As soon as I walked in, I was impressed. The woman at the desk welcomed me warmly and gave me a tour. Then I spoke with a colorist and discussed how much lavender I wanted in my hair. Within 10 minutes of my arrival, I met Jenna told her what I wanted and showed her a few pics of me with my hair looking good. A half hour later I was out the door with a bag of goodies. I am absolutely thrilled with my cut! Jenna did EXACTLY what I wanted and I must say that I look fantastic. :) Im going back tomorrow for my color. I would highly recommend this salon. Prices are very reasonable, staff very helpful and friendly and I was treated like a goddess. I wont wait another year to get a trim/cut. Plus, I got 20.00 off my cut for being a referral and my sister will get the same when she goes back.

Every time I walk into the salon everyone is very welcoming and friendly. My colorist, Devin, is AMAZING!! I always walk out feeling great and loving the way my hair looks. She always takes the time to listen to what it is that I want done and then makes it happen. I have recommended her to multiple people and they always love her as much as I do.

I started going to Gina Agosta because it was close to my apartment... that was in 1998. I now drive 30+ miles to get my hair cut, because only Nita at Gina Agosta can do it right. I tried places closer to my house. Fancy places, cool places, and no one could top Gina Agosta or Nita. I would recommend Nita especially if you have curly hair, as she is a curly haired girl too, and she GETS it! I can also attest to her ability with straight hair, as Ive been straightening mine for the past few years and she gives me an amazing cut. So, go! Do not delay!!!

I had my hair color done by Ashley. She is phenomenal! I am an older woman and it becomes difficult to get a color to perfectly match your skin tone and not make you look older than you already are. And if it doesn’t match, you are not looking good, no matter what your friends say! The base color is beautiful and the highlights are not too thick and not too thin. I had my own idea of what color I wanted, she listened and suggested a color and explained why she thought it would be a better fit. She was right. My idea of the right color would have made me look old and pale. Instead she took 10 years off of me. After your color go to anyone of the stylists for your cut they are all very talented artists. I have been to many of the stylists for my cuts. You cant go wrong with any of the artists no matter what service you are there for. I love, love, love this salon! I have been with the Agosta’s for over 20 years now and never have I walked out of their salon unhappy.

I have curly hair and it is sometimes difficult for colorist to understand, but she is an artist to say the least. She is the best; not only because she does a fantastic job at making my nails look great but also because she is a fun person to spend a couple of hours with. I highly recommend Mary as a nail tech. Make an appointment with her and your nails will look beautiful!

I have been going to Gina Agosta for a few years now and Love the atmosphere and most of all the staff. Especially my hair dresser Julie Brodzik Emmett. I highly recommend both Gina Agosta and Julie. I have many cowlicks on my head and Julie somehow always knows where they are and knows how to tame them. I have tried other local salons and none have come even close to the service that I receive here! - Keep up the GREAT WORK!!

Really horrible salon. Terrible set-up, horrible service, rude staff, and their colorists are the worst Ive ever seen. Id select any salon over this one. You get a different person for coloring, shampooing, cutting, and blow-drying (at an additional cost). Hair coloring/cutting is an art - its nice to have the same person all the way through who takes ownership of their work and cares what you think at the end. Thats not the case here. I asked for a fresh, professional look with all over color and some warm tones. I left with caramel streaks over-top my already growing out roots. It was horrible. After paying well over $130 for such a crappy job, I asked that it be redone correctly. They (including management) said Id have to pay all over again because theyd already given me caramel streaks. So I went back the next day. It was $55 just to sit in Kates chair! Kates technique is horrible, even though she claims to be a color specialist with 20+ years experience, she doesnt come close. It was an all around horrible, and very expensive experience, and after paying twice, I still didnt get a simple all over color with some highlights. Im surprised this place has such a high rating, which is the ONLY reason I went there in the first place; they dont even deserve one star.

Great staff, comfortable and accomodating at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Melissa. She is exceptional at long hair and even does great with short hair! Upon arrival staff always offers to take your coat and a beverage. They only allow each person to do their specialty. So your dye and your cut will be done to perfection by 2 different people.

I love coming to this salon! Linda is my stylist she and gives me the best haircut Ive ever had. John is great, also!! They are punctual, friendly, and so helpful with styling tips for me to do on my own. Many people have asked me where I get my hair cut, and I always tell them with pride that it is at Gina Agosta in Novi.Page is my manicurist and she always give me tips on how to keep my brittle nails looking their best. She is great!

I love everything about this salon. They make you feel at home from the second you walk in - they take your coat, offer coffee, water, and a comfortable seat in the spa while you are waiting. Their experts in color are simply amazing! Its truly an art and those artists are all at Gina Agostas! Devin does my color, and she goes above and beyond each time! She asks what I am thinking, looks through my hair, brings over the color, and wham, beauty! Jenna cuts my hair, and she does a great job. Curly hair can be so hard to cut, but not for her! I can wear it curly with little effort using my diffuser b/c the layers are perfect! It looks great straight too! Gina Agosta is a great salon. The staff is very friendly and cordial. They make you feel at home. I recently had a sport manicure with Paige and it was the best manicure I have had. Kudos to the whole salon! I will be back and will tell all my friends!

I have been to many salons over the years, but when I first visited Jessica 6 years ago, I knew that I had found my color person. Her work is incredible and her clients remain loyal to her as she makes everyone feel so comfortable and remembers the little things about each of her clients. Jessica is professional and amazingly fun at the same time. She is honest and open to any ideas that her clients have regarding their hair color. I would have been lost all of these years without her insight and guidance with my color. Thank you for always doing an amazing job over the years, Jessica! You are so talented and one of a kind!

I had Melanie for my haircut today. Extremely disappointed in my haircut. 1. Hairstyle is not what I showed her in my pictures 2. Whatever she used in my hair left it greasy, oily, and stiff. Not silly and smooth. 3. I asked her to take the bulk of my hair and texturize (it’s lighter because I cut some length off, but not texturized properly~ bulk on top is still there). I left the salon and washed my hair immediately because I didn’t like the greasy feeling. I even used the hairdryer and it still has the stiff/greasy feel on my hair. The only reason I tipped her was because I’ve worked in the service industry.

This place is amazing. The employee are so caring. My dad messed up his hair and no one else would touch it or if they did they made it worse. These ladies made it almost back to normal. Angels!!! Thanks so much!

Paige does the finest, thinnest shellac manicure out there that lasts beyond two weeks. She is amazing- and you can tell the difference. She will give you the longest lasting manicure that doesnt look thick or cheap- stop the madness of the cookie cutter nail farms and go see Paige at Gina Agosta! :)

It was excellent, as usual. Sara Jayne did my color and Melissa did my cut. I love my hair thanks to these two! They always listen and take their time to give me what I want. The salon is so efficient and professional, yet warm and friendly.

This salon has high ratings which is why I went with it and was even feeling reassured after my initial consult with colorist. We reviewed pictures and developed a plan.However the execution was horrible!! No where close to what I wanted and the colorist agreed however she would not correct it to my liking or offer a refund . When I discussed this with a manager she was really rude. This salon does not deserve these ratings- especially when they ask you to blow out your own hair and get hair color all over the collar of your shirt. For the same cost you can find much better in Birmingham!!

Gina Agosta has a nice friendly atmosphere, with talented, and professional employees. Candice and Paige are great nail technicians, and the shellac manicure will last for a couple weeks. Lacey does a great job shaping my brows, and Laine cuts and styles my hair with precision. The team at the front desk is always courteous. I am a loyal customer.

Very clean and nice salon! Ive been coming here for years and wouldnt think about going anywhere else. I get my hair cut by Nita and have nothing but positive things to say about her. She had become a very great friend, shes very attentive and a very talented stylist!

Today was my first time at Gina Agosta. As I arrived I was greeted by the most sweetest ladies up front. They offered to give me a tour, which I declined. I was then taken to the chair where I was getting my hair cut. The cut was done by Dylan. I have never met Dylan before but she was super attentive exactly what I wanted out of my hair cut. I was VERY happy with my cut. After I was done I was taken to see my colorist, Sara Jayne. Sara Jayne was basically doing a color correction Balayage. I came into the Salon with SUPER gross looking color and left a fairy princess. Sara Jayne transformed me! She knew exactly what she was doing. She took before and after pics for Insta with my permission. After my color Dylan blew my hair out and curled it ( complementary service). I was basically the last one in the salon at this point and the girls stayed till the end making sure I left a happy camper. The owner of the Salon was there as well.. Such a genuine, kind man. I could tell that he really took pride in his salon and making sure people left happy. This salon was down to earth none pretentious and welcoming from the first minute I arrived. WELL DONE LADIES!

Definitely the right place to go. My wife convinced me to try it and Im glad I did. You are always greeted with a smile and hello and a friendly goodbye when you leave. The staff is wonderful and always tends your your every need. Nita Sizick is definitely The BEST. She does a great job every time and I look forward to my next visit.

Horrible horrible colorist. Turned my hair orange unfortunately. I’ve never had that happen but she left the color on for such a short time - it couldn’t have been more than 20 minutes. I didn’t feel comfortable there at all either. This place has generally positive reviews but my experience was terrible. I haven’t and would never go back.

Ive been seeing Nita for my haircuts for years and she is fabulous! I saw Jenna for the first time today and she was wonderful as well. I love my new haircut and she was very sweet! Everyone in the color department does a great job as well! I dont trust any other salon with my hair!

I have had the best experience at Gina Agosta. The stylist Erica did a wonderful job cutting my hair. I have a return appointment scheduled with her next month. I have had massages by Dustin who is very knowledgable. He has the best massage techniques! He also has shown me stretches to help keep my problem area loosened up. He also sent me a thank you note which I thought was a very nice touch. I highly highly recommend this salon!
