I love this place. Super friendly staff. The equipment is placed and spread out perfectly
Top shelf fitness. Ive been a member of almost every gym chain in NYC. None others come close to the equinox brand. Ive been a happy member for 7 years now.
Do the extra walk to Bond St or Soho lol. Inferior than both in cleanliness & experience
Smallish club but well equipped, good light being on the 2nd floor.
Potential members BE WARNED!! My friends and I each had absolutely horrific customer experiences at Equinox, specifically at this location, but it seems to be a trend throughout. Not only was I actually CRITICIZED during the meeting for my workout routine and body shape, but we were treated with an incredible level of disrespect during both our in-person visit and email exchanges. Advisors were extremely judgmental and spoke to you as if you were lesser the entire time. If they think you cant afford it, they proceed to ignore you, not respond to emails etc. When I brought up these very serious concerns with how we were treated, we did not receive a SINGLE APOLOGY or attempt to make things right! We are quite frankly in absolute shock with this service given the high price tag of a membership. I cannot say Stay Away enough! A proper attempt to fix their mistreatment should have been made, and the lack of attempt is completely unacceptable in my opinion. We will absolutely advise friends and colleagues to look elsewhere as the other options out there are FAR superior to the ridiculous sham of an exclusive club where members receive quality treatment. We continue to be very disappointed.
Front desk/ check-in staff are rude. Staff are untrained in how to evaluate temperatures at check in and each seems to have their own protocol or rules. From required that prescription (not sunglasses) be removed, to requiring second handheld scan after temperature station announces and displays normal temperature, to requiring that the non-sanitized handheld scan come in contact with your forehead. Staff are loudly condescending and aggressive.
This is my favorite Equinox location. Love the layout, the locker rooms, and most of all the friendly staff. Even when its busy I can always find space on the floor and the equipment I need.
Great Gym! Clean, well managed, and friendly staff!
They have been emailing me and calling me for over a month! I keep saying stop but some lady named Nikki doesnt get it! Seriously stop!!! I am very busy making peanut butter sandwiches and stuff!!
Desenya is a terrible manager... she must be new at this, but who trains these people? Hands down the most unprofessional employee I have met at equinox. Was also wearing sweats when I spoke to her regarding a membership problem... seriously?
Front desk staff is actively rude
Clean. Great staff. The 2.5 lb weights kinda hide from you though.
I got called back to do “extra screening” after checking in. My friend and I checked in together, but I was the only one called back. I was also the only non white member there after COVID. It was embarrassing and I cancelled my membership immediately. Your employees here need better training.
Transformation takes sacrifice
The staff is very nice. Though, not clean compared to other equinox clubs - locker room has dirt on the floors. They host classes on the treadmills in the regular workout area. Seen multiple trainers on FaceTime in the locker room. Very crowded in peak hours compared to other equinox clubs.
It’s a decent Equinox - different layout than most but a good amount of mirrors, at least one of every machine, and a solid schedule of great classes.Loses some points for not having hot water about a third of the time and no working AC in the studios (the spin room is unbearably hot). Some of the machines take about a week to get fixed if they break.
Very nice hotel gym but quite small and crowded. Not enough equipment for the amount of members that work out here during rush hour. Aesthetically nice and good for a quick workout but not as expansive or equipped for daily use.
Different layout than other eqx locations. But somehow I still come here, not a bad thing tho! Juice press at entrance, coat check available, everything is pretty close to each other but at a good distance. Staff is nice and friendly, clean too, never had any issue.
Staff works hard to keep the place clean and moving. I enjoy spending time here, theres a decent class offering, and theres all the equipment I need to work out. Gym is slightly on the smaller side but I dont have too much of an issue getting to the machines/racks I need to get a workout done in a reasonable amount of time.
I’ve been coming here to lift early in the afternoon lately (1:30-3:00). It’s pretty empty even when I arrive. I’m used to there being lines for the showers at Midtown Equinoxes around 1:30. Not here. It’s small, especially the men’s locker room, so maybe there’s an early evening crush, but midday is chill. The workout space is arranged over two floors, both with great natural light. What sets this EQ apart are two large stretching areas (take note, SoHo!!), eliminating the need to fart in someone’s face in order to stretch!
Its a very nice hotel gym. Not enough equipment to be considered a high performance gym. I would recommend walking the extra few blocks to equinox Soho or Bond St. That said it is very clean with very friendly staff.
One of the newest locations, can feel quite sterile at times. Yet wide variety of brand new machines, and gorgeous group fitness studios.
Out of all the Equinox locations in the city this is the worst one. The bathrooms are never clean and when you try to speak to the manager Melissa about it, she just blows you off. Thanks for helping me make my decision to cancel my membership, all thanks to your lack of customer service.
The Bond Street location is superior and worth the 10 minutes of additional walking. This Orchard Street gym unfortunately suffers from inattentive staff, overcapacity, and inconsiderate members.
Need machines and good workout environment. Awesome staff!
Great new Equinox, seems a little small but thats what you get for the LES. Very few squat racks.
Tiny! Barely has the equipment you’d expect from an Equinox. More like a nice hotel gym than anything.
Such a beautiful location...ahem, save the blasting music and membership advisors offices, I really feel for them and their hideous office walls.
Awesome space and gym
Best steam room.
Too small, overcrowded
Clean & lots of natural light.
Currently closed
Nice equipment but cramped
Good
