They have tailored 5 suit pants for reasonable cost. Taking another pant this week. So far each was was completed correctly. They text when item is completed. No concerns.

TL;DR: Really nice people, poor quality workI came in to move epaulets from one brand new sweater to another new one. I thought $50 was reasonable and the lady was really nice. Two weeks later I picked up my sweater, took it home and found the epaulets were sewn onto my back, where you’d expect wings to grow out of, instead in on my shoulder. I took it in again and once again a super nice staff member told me they’d fix it for free. Days later I got a call saying they’d actually need $20. Finally I came back and picked up my sweater from a third really nice lady, but the sweater is frankly a little dirty and is ripped on the shoulder.At the end of the day I paid 4 visits and $70 over a month for a ripped sweater. I feel bad leaving a poor rating cause they’re genuinely nice people, but NY has a million tailors. I personally will try a different one.Edit. Okay I I went home, tried it on. They charged me $20 on top of the original $50 to take off the epaulets AND SEW THEM ON IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT BUT CROOKED THIS TIME and poke a hole in the shoulder. Now it’s down to one star. Sorry guys. You charged me $70 and wasted a months time to ruin a brand new cashmere sweater.

Dejavu used to be my go-to tailor in the city. The service was always timely and the work high quality. After six months or so, I returned to hem the sleeves of a jacket. Charging $59, the result is a permanent ruffle and an uneven trim. The store is no longer worth the premium price, look elsewhere for your tailoring needs.

I rarely have a need for tailoring services, but I had purchased a pair of wide leg pants and they were entirely too big. I did a quick search for a tailor and made my way there with my garment. I was met with a unit slightly below street level that was clean and charming. It seemed that the front of the shop had winter coats for sale and the back held the tailor service counter. The kind staff of two pinned the pants and really paid attention to my reaction along the way. The only drawback I found was that when I came in and asked for a quote, they immediately invited me to try them on and have measurements made. After this was done, it seemed kind of compulsory to accept the price since theyd already begun the work. Other than this, I really liked the vibe of the location and feel that theyll do a great job. I will update once I pick up the finished garment.Update 2/12/20: A week before, I had received a text saying my pants were ready. I stopped by a few days later and when I tried them on to check on the work, it was clear that nothing had been done. The employee was just as surprised as I was and refit them for me, apologizing and assuring me that they would get to the alterations as soon as possible. Last week, I again got a text about the pants and when I stopped by, they were finally finished. They fit very well and looked just like Id envisioned.

Had a fancy dress for wedding season to be altered and hemmed. The seamstress was excellent, she knew exactly what was needed to alter the dress, took her time and was friendly. Was nervous when trying on the dress later on (as am a first time customer) and was basically tailored to me! Great stitch work too. Love this place!

Pants too long? Too wide? Dejavu made my Levis fit like, well like, more expensive jeans. Tailored beautifully, and not so pricey that it was cheaper to Goodwill the pants and buy new ones.While it’s the dead of winter stop in and check out the ultra fab, warm coats, all (of course) in basic black.Oh are your pants to narrow at the hem? That should teach you a lesson not to fall victim to fashion fads. Have Dejavu cut ‘em off and make Bermuda shorts for the Jersey Shore.

Always provides high quality tailoring work on whatever I bring to them. Be it chinos, overcoats, dress shirts or jeans, Ive never had a bad experience with Dejavu, and continue to go there every so often whenever I have some alterations to do. The process is pretty simple, you come in, tell them what you want, theyll do the necessary measuring/pinning etc., you pay and wait for an SMS to be sent notifying you that pickup is ready. It usually takes about a week or so depending on the piece being altered and the complexity of the alteration itself. Plus, the staff are pretty friendly and helpful with whatever you may need. I think they also sell a few pieces of clothes themselves, but havent really taken a good look through their offerings.

UPDATED- it turned out that person was not the shop owner. the shop owner was quite nice. he was able to fix the issue by asking me to send my clothes to another location. they did a good job.--------This is the least respectful business owner/ front desk person ever. She has a huge attitude and gave me lectures just because I asked if we can get this in 5 exact business days. I came here because i saw all these nice reviews but I did not expect to be talked down to every single second of the way. In the end, she yelled and screams and accused me of questing the price she asked. I mean... for a dress of 300, why in the world would i complaint about 24 hemming fee? So much negativity and yelling out of nowhere. Just an extremely insecure and unprofessional woman who also said shes the shop owner. If you want to get her attitude, go here! Shell give you plenty.q

Absolutely fantastic customer service and tailoring work! They can assess what needs done very quickly and will have it normally turned around in about a week. And the prices!!! Oh the prices can not be beat.They recently helped me out in pinch by rush ordering a pair of pants and got them back sooner than I asked! Can’t recommend them enough.

Dejavu is the most professional, clean, modern and friendly tailor service I’ve ever used. Also the price and speed was the best I’ve ever experienced. I took my wedding dress here to have it altered and Dennis was so responsive and on top of his game. Do yourself a favor and come here for any alterations you need, wedding or otherwise. It’s the best!!

I needed a dress altered for an event and Dejavu did a great job. The dress had a mesh rip and after being turned away from other tailors, Dejavu was able to fix it for me. Furthermore, the straps and length of the dress were expertly altered and now fit me perfectly. Dennis was very kind and the prices are extremely reasonable! Another plus is that the store is super clean with nice mirrors and has an actual changing room as opposed to a half laundromat/curtain type situation.

I was looking for a rudsak coat online and stumbled on their website. I saw their store location was in Manhattan so I called in to see if they had the coat I wanted in my size, which they did, so I drove into the city to try it on. I had an amazing experience here. They had a great selection of coats, all amazing prices. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and funny. Will definitely be coming back here!!

This place is amazing, I love their collections, very European style, the cutting is very good, the design is elegant. Especially the winter coats they carry, which is a signature line at their boutique! Mostly French Canadian, the winter coats are warm, stylish and unique. A lot of them are down coats with leather trims, the waist line is really amazing that shows the curve (or create one) . I am gonna say its one of the best designs for winter coats that I see in NYC, the price is very reasonable. I brought a long down coat yesterday and I am excited for winter!

Garbage owner, garbage clothes.

I experience somewhat pushy service, you explain what specific coat you’re looking for, for example something that hits your calf or a little above and they continually show you jackets, coats that hit you at your thighs as if it’s imperative the make a sale. You tell them a coat is tight based on how you wear coats so if your breast are perturbing which makes you uncomfortable in the coat, they continuously say that size would be great for you or looks great on you when they’re not wearing it. I found it quite annoying as if they just weren’t hearing me until I expressed my ideology of what works fo me. Not everyone will leave the premises with a coat. Deal with it!!

Today I saw on the website a rudsak coat for $537 I called the store and spoke to a girl name AIR to make sure they had the coat in my size and to confirm the price . I told air I was coming the next day but I changed my mind and went an hour later so when I got to the store I asked for air so another employee went to the back to get the coat. while I waited air was on the computer and faking a convo with me saying yeah this a good price for the coat etc the coat is $716 lol she was on the website changing the price and said the price changed a couple hours ago and it wasnt her but you told me over the phone it was $537 and I also screenshot a pic of the coat & price an hour before I got to the store which it said $537 SHE LIED ! So once I said Im not buying the coat then she say Ill give it to you for $537 she tried to get me for an extra $200 !!!!!!

I’ve only used them for tailoring but they’ve done a great job on every piece I’ve brought them, even with complicated ones.

Had to return three times to have them fix the errors they made altering pants. Had them alter two pairs, had to bring back one pair twice and the other once to get them to fix them - terrible tailoring for mens pants
