Service was amazing, professional. I NEVER give out 5 stars but deserves it.
If you are female customers, I do not recommend to have a hair cut with the male stuff in this location. 1) He did not know what is he was doing! 2) He did not cut my hair evenly 3) He supposed to clean propperly after trimming customers hair as well as blow dry to set hair and carefully check if the hair style looks fine. I totally disappointed with my haircut at this time because he was quit unprofessional.
Fast and easy. I liked the way they managed that small space, they have small closets so you can put your coat in. She was very attentive and was patient with my hair. So far only two people in the US have been able to do a good job with it. One is in New Jersey and the other one is here
Efficient, no nonsense haircuts from a chain popular in Japan. Seats are numbered on the bench so you know who is next - be sure to move down when it’s the next person’s turn. I especially enjoyed having my head vacuumed. I assume it was to remove the loose cut hair, or maybe I was just dusty. Spent the time wondering how they could automate further - maybe have the chairs on a moveable platform moving through the waiting area through to the hair cutting stations?
There is a reason this location only has 3 stars (or less in the future)Dont come! This location has no hospitality. Dont come !!! I almost have a fight with their staff! This lady tried to kick me out twice(she said I cant wait here!) while I was waiting for my husband(I walked in and I told them that Im with the guy having hair cut now). Im actually came in to pay for my husbands hair cut and tip since they dont take credit card tips.We have been a loyal customer since we moved to midtown east. We alway have hair cut together and i have been seeing other customers wait for their friends. Im like whats wrong !!!!Not coming back. Yes because of her. If you have any good hair cut spots hit me up:))).
I have a short pixie cut and they always do a great job and for $20, you cant beat it :)
Don’t make the mistake of coming to this place ! Needed a simple taper, got home to find a butchered uneven wack job.
Absolutely the worst haircut that I have ever had. Terrible service and he has no clue what he is doing at all.
Always a wonderful experience with talented hair dressers.
I used to like coming here and I have done so a few times. Today, I walked out totally disappointed. I went into at 330PM, i was told to come back at 440PM. I came back at 430PM, and when one of the 2 ladies finished cutting the hair of one client, I thought one of them will attend to me. But she said she does not do women. All I need is a trim, and that is not rocket science. If she can cut a mans hair, she can do a trim. But no, she did not attend to me. I asked why, and she could not explain in English. It was already 450PM and the other lady is still attending to someone. I gave up waiting. Not only because I have waited too long but also because I noticed the ladies being very nice and kind to the japanese clients, but not to me. I am not sure they want to attend to me at all. When the place is run by the men, I notice I get better treatment. I will never walk in again when I see those women.
Great place - excellent and quick service
Akko san is super!
The hairdresser has no idea what he is doing. Don’t waste your money.
Worst hair cut ever!Asked for a short men hair cut.He dont know what should do and do messy random cut! Its so unpleasant and painful during cut.My hair is hurt!
A mixed bag. Some barbers are good. But some times awful. I told her exactlt what I wanted and told her last time I cut was one month, i said I just wanted to clean it ul. Came out looking nothing like I asked for, it would take 3 months to grow back the hair, nearly cleaned shaved me. Probably what the barber was used to doing a fixed hair style and what was easiest. Mediocre level of service and attentiveness for a Japanese salon. Lack of attention to detail
It was fast, and cheap, and it looks pretty good. Just as promised
I was checking out this place the other night curious if they are any good, 20$ express cut. A girl stepped out of the place so I asked her. She said she gets trims in between haircuts and even many of her friends come. So today, I went to lighten the weight on my crown because my hairstylist that costs many folds more doesn’t know how to layer the top and it always bothered me. I figured it’s just volume and not changing the whole silhouette. So glad I took the risk! The lady cut my hair exactly how I had in mind. She even took the time to consult and suggest changes. She was so efficient and friendly. No shampoo and extra jazz but for $20 bucks, I am so happy with this hair cut.I might go back and try a full hair cut. I like layers so it’s not the easiest but after today, seems promising. Will follow up when I do.
Great haircut! Clean, safe, felt very comfortable.
Go here regularly. reasonably priced, and one of the few places in the city where you can rest assured that the stylists know exactly how to work with Asian hair
Quick haircut, great quality for the price.
Fast and affordable! Also support clean and nice people! Super super recommended!
Nice place nice food to bad only take out
Fast and efficient
Walked by QB house with my 13 year old who was wanting a haircut. I thought the sign said $15. We decided to come back after visiting Central Park. We did. And they were great. Quick careful and a perfect job. 13 year old very happy and paid with a twenty to include tip. Only later when looking at a photo I’d taken did I see that the price was $20. So we did no leave a tip which she deserved. Apologies for that!! But thanks for a great experience.
Great service.
The chinese guy who sits by the entrance is the infamous Bonny. I put his reputation to the test today and got my hair butchered. Also price went up to $23. If your thinking getting a hair cut here, might as well ask your friend to watch youtube and cut your hair. Yes, thats how bad he is
Went next door on a mission for pizza and stumbled on this place. Piqued my interest and decided to walk in. Got placed immediately.Quality of haircut is superb. I will definitely go back here if I need a haircut while in NYC.
Friendly staff and convenient location. Got the haircut that I need in minutes.
First time visit. There were 2-2 people ahead of me but as noted, within 15 minutes each their cuts were complete. My stylists and I quickly discussed what I wanted. Showed him a picture. 15 minutes later, received a great haircut for $20.Great experience. Will definitely be returning.
Updated review: this place used to be great but their services recently has really dropped in quality. I’ve been with various barbers here and they all don’t spend enough time doing a careful cut.If you’re in a pinch this place could be a good option but if you’re looking for something custom and more thoughtful, it’s hard to get that result here, also due to the fact that all barbers here are hard to communicate with.3 stars because the space is still rather clean and well maintained.
Best haircut in midtown. My go-to when I need a quick cut between meetings.
Went after a morning breakfast was cancelled. Awesome, quick, and courteous. Take was a great hair stylist that listened to my issues with growing out my hair, recommended a couple of approaches, and let me choose. Being the clean-freak that I am, I loved the vacuuming they did at the end of the cut, using their sanitized vacuum brush! Will definitely come back!
I was not impressed by this place at all. Sure, it’s cute, but that’s where it ends. Got what I thought was a decent haircut — just an inch trim— until I got home. One side of my hair was longer than the other and I had to had someone else cut it. A waste of money, not going back. Ladies: NOT a salon. Can’t even get a trim right.
Excellent service, great careful haircut, and safe, clean protection.
I come here for my haircuts and Akko has consistently done a great job. Added bonus - they’re quick and reasonably priced.
It depends on who cut your hair. It can be the worst haircut if the old man on first chair cut it for you. He just cut for 5 mins. It was fast but bad quality. He cut my hair straight without layering properly. Never go back again.
The wait gets long after 6pm as people are getting out of work. Men and women alike come here, because these trained experts are trusted and deliver consistent and cost effective service! I would recommend QB in a heartbeat. Credit accepted. Tip cash only.
Always fast and efficient. Great for your standard men’s cut.
Barbers are quick and understand what you want. Cheap cuts in the city. Peep pls
Clean, efficient, and good service. Perfect for people who are busy in the city to get a quick hair cut.
Japanese are meticulous and their Barbers are no different. Exceptional quality haircut for $20 bucks.
For a very affordable $20, you get a nice hear cut, done by very professional staff. The place is cozy, but it has individual hangers and a vacuum to use after the cut, on your head and neck. The higiene is clearly guaranteed!
It’s decent. If you’re a guy and you just need a simple trim, this is fine. If you’re a woman or have higher expectations from your hairdresser, then this isn’t the place for you.The price is a bit much though. $20 plus tip is over twice as expensive as QB locations in other countries. In Japan, it’s 1200 JPY which is about $11. In Hong Kong, it’s 70 HKD which is about $9. And tipping is not expected in those countries.I think I’d rather head south to Chinatown on Doyers St where I could get a similar trim for under $10.
Quick, efficient, and not expensive. Totally Tokyo style. They have this really cool machine that vacuumed your tiny trimmed hairs out, which was really cool.
Hair cut was just ok. Not as fast as they claimed. The staff got really bad attitude, especially the male one. If you are looking for a cheap and fast Asian barbershop, you’d better go to flushing.
Great place to get a quick haircut and nice price. Staff is very friendly. The ramune candy they have is very tasty :)
Have been there twice and either no line or only 5 minutes wait and you don’t have to make reservation. More efficient in contrast to other upscale salon requiring reservation in advance, which usually had to wait 15 mins to 30 mins or more. Exactly their name is called quick barber! They did good job to keep my current hair style so it’s really worth the money if you don’t need the too fancy one.
Came in for a trim to even out a previous uneven haircut. Quick in and out.
Great service. Fast and convenient
Great stylists and quick!
Good concept, bad haircut.Ive been there twice and the haircuts I received are random at the best. Would not go back.
Fast and convenient haircut. Got my haircut for twenty dollars, and took under 15 minutes. Will be going back.
Tokyo is in Japan. Its service was quite different. No polite, thats obviously not Japan style. Cheap means bad quality.
No frills, fast efficient hair cut service imported from Japan. Attentive and professionally trained hair stylists.
It’s not a clean place, it’s not cheap price. This place is a joke, do not recommend.$20 isn’t cheap considrting to what you get..They vacuume + brush your head after the cut instead using hair blower and will use same brush / vacume on other persons head. It’s not a clean.Avoid this place, don’t be fooled by $20-
Basic express no frills haircut. Bring pictures with you of what you want your hair to look like since you dont really have a regular stylist.
Excellent service, excellent price!
I had extremely bad split ends and weak hair and I just couldnt stand it anymore. I needed something super simple that I could do but Im also really busy with school work and part time job. Im so happy I found this place. There are three stations and their shop is small. Its brightly lit, the facility is very clean. You enter and would sign your name, sit down and wait for your turn. There is a consultation of what you want but its very brief. The cuts they do are very simple; hence the name. They dont take appointments, but Akko cut my hair. Im very happy with it....I feel lighter, like twentt pounds have been taken away from my scalp lol.The total is always $20+tip.
Fast, cheap, and get the job done. Just be aware tip is only accepted in cash form
Fast, friendly and quality service. Occasional wait but well worth it...
Cheap quick haircuts. Gets the job done.
Great price an a good cut
Haircut was fast and satisfactory for 20 dollars. The wait was three times that of the cut itself.
Excellent service and well priced for Manhattan.
Totally depends on who is your hair dresser! You can get the most awesome haircut if the old old guy does it for you, or the worst if any of the young ladies and one young guy does it. Go only if you want to try your luck that particular day 😈
Standardized and fast service. Cutting only. No washing or blowing but your hair will be vacuumed.
Quick and efficient. I like how they vacuum the head afterward.
Good, fast and cheap haircut (male)
Quick haircut. Twice as expensive than in Japan though.
Quick hair cut. Very efficient process
Fast and quality haircut in mManhattan. Very clean and cant beat their price.
I dont know how this place got a 4.3 star rating, of my 5 years in NYC I havent had such a bad haircut at any random barber over 3 boroughs. I left with trimmer rashes bleeding, and an assymetric haircut with clear signs of trimmer cuts looking like a fool - will have to got to a new barber, and take a few weeks to grow out the hair again. Japanese quality you say? =(
First time here, it was a great experience. Quick and easy.
Just $20.00! All the hair stylist has skills. Ill be back.
Great price for a quick cut. No wash tho.
Clean, professional and a good value
Great place for Asian style haircut.
Quick, competent, cheap haircuts from the Japanese megachain.
Quick and clean, great hair cut spot
Quick, clean, and reasonable price
Haircut as I wanted
Very good place, I like it.
Its alright not the greatest, tip is not included!
Great haircuts and fast service
Experience may vary depending on which barber you are getting the haircut from.
Blah
Great, affordable, quality hair cuts
Amazing!
Super good
