Excellent barber shop. I have been coming to Sigfridos for years now. Ruben takes excellent care of me every single time I show up. He is consistent with every single haircut. He intuitively understands what I am looking for each time. He doesn’t need every little thing explained to him— he just gets it. At the same time, he is responsive and pays good attention— if I ever have any changes I want to make to my usual style, he listens carefully and delivers. I look forward to each time I get to leave the shop with the renewed confidence that comes from a fresh haircut. Make this man is your barber and you will be beyond glad you did!!!!!

Sigfridos is one of New York Citys classic barber shops, and hands-down the best. Ruben always makes sure he understands exactly what style youre going for, and absolutely nails it every time. I stumbled upon Sigfridos two years ago and now I refuse to go anywhere else. Give them a try!

Ruben and his team have done a great job to reopen the barber shop after the COVID pandemic. I was happy to see all the sanitation of the seats, all staff and guests wearing masks, and the seats about 8-10ft apart. They even allow you to wait outside for your turn.I’ve been coming here for 8+ years, commuting in from Queens because of the quality of service these guys provide, so it’s great to see that their doing well.

Just moved to New York and have been searching for an affordable, but good place to get my haircut. I finally found it! Ive been twice now and both times have been the best haircuts Ive gotten in my entire life. It definitely has that old fashioned barbershop vibe and the guys are nice and will remember you. Ill be recommending them to all of my friends!

Without question the worst haircut of my life. Rubin, in the first chair, gave me a bald spot in the back of my head where one did not exist. It is starting to fill back in, but will take weeks to not look like a gaping hole. I had to put sunscreen on my head for the first time in my life. I cannot fathom how he did such a bad job, either through incredible incompetence or malice.

Very friendly staff and he did a great job on my haircut. It wasnt very expensive. I recommend this place and will be going back.

I got my very first haircut at Sigfridos and 30 years later, Im getting my hair cut by the exact same man. Wonderful old school atmosphere, extremely friendly people, I wouldnt trade this place for anything. Ive lived in Queens, Washington Heights, but I ALWAYS came back downtown for a haircut here. Can never go wrong!

The guys all have their own chair. First chair is the store owner and gives a good haircut.Second chair is my guy and gives me the best hair cut probably best in the shop paired with the barber in chair 4.Chair 3 is horrible and no one should go to him. He sucks at cutting hair also cut my face during a straight razor shave.So once again chair 1 is good, 2 and 4 are both more suited for younger shop-goers and are also skilled and #3 is flat out bad.

This was an Italian Barber shop now owned by Russian barbers. Hair and beard cut satisfied me! For 36 dollars in NY this was a very good deal !

Terrible! DO NOT GO HERE! THEY ARE BAD AT CUTTING HAIR.This place is for old men and people who want nothing more than a buzz cut.After reading the 6 other 3/3 reviews on google I decided to stop in for a trim. My hair was about 2.5 inches in length. I told the barber I wanted less than a quarter inch off the front and the sides. The first thing he did was buzz the sides down to almost nothing. I stopped him before he started on the top and reminded him that I wanted very little take off, again less than a quarter inch and showed him with my fingers. He immediately cut my hair to half length on the first scissor cut. I jumped up and yelled WOAH!, but the damage was done. He said he would make it work, but I had no other options at that point but to get a crew cut. This guy was an idiot, and had no business cutting hair.

This place is a dirty pit. The barbers speak little English. The facility is dirty and unclean. The younger barber ( Gabriel) is a joker to the trade. He pays little to no attention to his customers and is rough with the comb and scissor. He’d rather laugh and giggle with his work mates in Russian than pay attention to someone’s head with a scissor in his handNEVET EVER AGAIN

Ive been going to Sigfredos since I was a little boy now Im an old man and Andy, (who has been cutting my hair since I was little boy) the owner, first chair, gives the best shaves of my head and best shaves of my face ever! I love the place, love the guys. I feel like a new man when I leave. If youre from out of town go to ziggys. If youre from in town go to ziggys. Lots of celebrities go there cant mention any names because they love privacy. I love Sigfredos, old time barbershop. The best barber shop haircuts and the best straight edge razor shaves in New York! Once you go there youll be like the rest of us and youll be going there for the rest of your life or at least until they are there.
