Mr. Natty is a legend! If you can get an apointment with him he’s worth the wait. He has sorted me out for some of the most important days of my life including my wedding. He’s definitely one of the best hair stylists in NYC if not in the world. The new location on Mulberry is super beautiful.

Mr. Natty is awesome! And yes, he cut women’s long hair too. I always have wonderful hair result after seeing him. Thoughtful and careful, he doesn’t whip through the haircut. Spends time with his clients and will make take time making adjustments. Also fun vibe to be around, great style, trust him with your head!

I LOVE Tuft Barber. I love the atmosphere, the conversation and most importantly my amazing barber Mr. Natty. He is a true artist and I always leave feeling so powerful and beautiful. As a female identified person, I dont always feel welcome or comfortable in barber shops, but Mr. Natty made me feel like I belonged there and kept me laughing the whole time. I cannot recommend him enough.

I started seeing Mr. Natty for short hair cuts about 4 years ago and I am still seeing him for long-length cuts today. Whichever you are looking for, I highly recommend it. I have fairly coarse and thick hair which is difficult to cut, but whether short or long cuts, Natty gives the best cut Ive ever had. He uses different techniques based on your hair type and does both clipper or scissor cuts. Tons of experience and a true master of his craft. When it comes to beard trims, he knows exactly where to keep it long or taper it down to make it look great.

I randomly found Tuft one day and am so thankful I did! Natty maintains a cozy, chill, and clean environment that makes spending time at his shop not only worth it but extremely enjoyable.Not only have I loved the experience each visit but the amount of compliments and pleasure my haircut seems to bring about afterwards is off the chart. Mr. Natty always takes great care of me for hair and beard work, I don’t bother going anywhere else and it’s worth my trip downtown. The new location is great and always clean, everyone’s friendly, the vibes are good and the banter is choice. Can’t recommend it enough!

Discovered Tuft and Mr Natty years ago, and he and the crew at Tuft have been my barber of choice ever since. The cut, the style, the service, the banter (nobody better at barbershop banter than my mate, Natty) - you’d be hard pressed to find a better experience. Beyond that, he was always dialed in for virtual cuts during the pandemic, he’s been incredible with my 7yo son (giving him the adult treatment as well).Cannot recommend highly enough.

Edwin Pabon is by far the best barber I have ever been to. He pays particular attention to detail, and cuts my hair in such a way that I like looking in mirror again. As well, I dont feel Im ready for the silver/ white hair accumulating on the sides of my head. Edwin colors it so that it looks incredibly natural. I always feel much more confident leaving Edwins char than when I first sat down. Thank you Edwin for making me look the best I can.

I just feel my best when I get out of my chair at Tuft’s. I have my hair cut by three stylists there and it’s always consistently awesome.

Tuft is great and my barber, Kathleen, is exceptional! The shop is clean and very covid prepared. Everyone is gracious and hospitable while still having fun! I always feel tops when I walk out with my freshly shorn hair!

Great barber shop. Staff were friendly and polite. Booking an appointment was easy. Have a strong range of talent there it seems. Cant tip when you pay at the counter. So if youre not accustomed to American tipping and or know to tip the person as you leave the chair and you want to, you need to go back and have cash. A little awkward... Otherwise excellent!

I have been going to Edwin since he started and he always gives me a great cut. I have very thick difficult hair to cut and he handles it well! He has great style and always has the most input in my hair and keeps me looking fresh!

Walked in and spoke to Edwin. Last cut I got previously was a bit uneven from a different shop in the city and he shaped it back up to the point where my hair grows perfectly now. Every time I get a haircut I’ll go back to Edwin. Always professional and a great dude. Great barbers and a great space.

Excellent place to get your hair cut. Its an upscale version of a traditional barber shop. All of the barbers are stylish themselves and have a knack for really understanding how to take into account the shape of a face when suggesting a cut. The work is done professionally, stylishly, and promptly. They dont mess around here - get you in, cut your hair, get you out, with good conversation and a relaxed atmosphere in between. Make sure you make a reservation too - theyre usually pretty busy.

Walked in. Was set up with Edwin. Amazing cut. He changed how my hair grows, and I love the shape now. This is my new shop. Great service, and from what I’ve learned, they have an all star line up. Great service with a chill atmosphere.

The haircuts at this barbershop are phenomenal. Edwin Pabon is a such skilled and sweet guy. I was cutting my own hair until he taught me the importance of hair-power and the fade. Now I wont let anyone else touch my hair. The high level of technique in Tufts Barbers enriches my entire look and keeps me coming back!

Awful service and most money Ive paid for half a job. $75 for haircut and shave without any actual shave. Just trimmed beard with clippers and didnt line up or anything. Guy didnt even say two words to me throughout the process. Photo attached shows how I left the place. Had to run home and finish the job. Cant believe they charge $75 for this travesty.

This review is a long time in the making because Ive been going there for over 5 or 6 years when the barber was in the back of the clothing store. Ill start with the entire team.........they are honestly the best. From the very relaxed vibe, the esthetic of the shop, professionalism, ease to talk to and all around good nature, I always look forward to going in. At least 80% of them know me by first name, and are very welcoming each and every time I go in. Since day one, Ive been getting my hair cut my Miles. A true pro....hes put up with me changing styles etc for years and always delivers what is best for my hair. Long story best place in my opinion.

Ive been getting my haircut mostly by Miles for a couple years now.. The whole team at Tufts are carried over from Freemans. And they are just genuine, cool, easygoing bunch of guys and girls who give amazing haircuts. I cant wait to see how the new space turns out, but the current pop up location is just as inviting. I love coming in, sitting in the barber chair, and just listening to the barbers banter with themselves and their customers. Tufts is perfectly between an old school barbershop and super hipster salon in price and atmosphere. Its a somewhat pricey haircut, but its money well spent if you value how a fresh cut can make you feel. I especially love the easy online booking as well.

Sometimes I like to escape and go down to the Lower East Side and see what is happening. Actually, I try to time my visits to that neighborhood for when I actually need a haircut.That is because I like to unwind at Freemans Sporting Club. I actually like waiting there because it means I get to relax more. I always opt for the full works. They always do a great job, professional. I relax because I know every barber here knows what they are doing.Worth a trip!

The guys (and gals) that work here are masters of their craft. A lot of the same characters from next door (formerly FSC Barbershop) are now here. This place, unlike the former, is bigger, has space to sit, and you have the option of making online reservations. No more waiting hours for a great cut. So essentially, its a bigger and better version of its former self. Highly recommend a visit.
