I have been using Paul Mole for about 7 years now. I go to Benny and he is absolutely amazing and so nice. He gives me a great cut every time and makes sure to set the line on my beard each time. I go to him before big meetings and job interviews because I know he will give me a proper, professional business cut. Id give even more stars if I could!

In a world of buzzcuts and fades that appear when searching for a “barber shop,” Paul Mole stands out as just what a classic experience should be. Straightforward, quick, and consistent with range of talent and styles. Tried for 2 years to find my new go-to and happy to have ended the search with Danny.

The haircut that I showed the barber is not what he performed. The side length is not as much as an issue as the top, where he left me with virtually no room to get it corrected at another shop/salon. Considering I am heading out to a wedding and a vacation, Im livid.Update: Two different shops and Paul Mole themselves said there’s nothing they can do really to correct the style since so much hair was taken off the top. Having not gotten a cut in 4 months, length should not have been an issue

I have to thank Benny for delivering an exceptional cut (and for reviving my pandemic-zombie hair). This is my now go-to for a classic cut in a classy and friendly environment. Highly recommend.

Paul Mole is the best barbershop Ive been to in the greater NYC metro area, and Benny is hands down a master barber. Every time I go to Paul Mole the staff is friendly, the facility is clean with the fresh smell of talc powder, and my appointments are on time. Cant recommend high enough!

I have been going to Paul Mole for several years and it is the best barbershop I have ever been to. Ask for Benny when you call and you will not be disappointed.

I went to Paul Mole to get nothing more than a haircut. I asked for a fade. As soon as I asked for one, the barber said “no problem” and proceeded to almost completely shave the sides and back of my head. I was in shock. He never asked any follow-up questions and did not start trimming a little at a time to find the length I wanted (as barbers and haircutters usually do). After the first few strokes, there was nothing I could do about it because my hair was cut too short, gone. The whole thing took 10-15 minutes tops. I think the lack of questions about what I wanted before going in too deep and the shortness of the whole procedure show an overall lack of care from the barber.Although I have heard that Paul Mole is good for more classic haircuts, do not try to get a more modern one. Tomorrow is my first day in college, and I am going to campus looking like one of the muppets in Sesame Street. I was in shock after I was done with the haircut, and after showering I really am even more disappointed. Can’t believe I paid for this.

A great old time barbershop with real barbers. Shaves, face massages and all of the old time amenities associated with a barber shop not a clip joint known as a hair stylist. Open Sundays too.

I would rate my hair cut average or below average. Given the price point, it was not worth it at all. The hair dresser barely listened to what I wanted, cut it wrong right off the bat, “fixed it”, and had an attitude the whole time. Completely ridiculous and I will not be going back. My impression is that good hair cuts can be had here, just don’t get unlucky.The company replied claiming I am trying to harass, completely untrue. There are other reviews claiming the same thing I did. The reason I have no reviews is because I never feel the need to leave feedback, but with this specific case, my hair cut looks bad right before a wedding. The whole haircut lasted less than 15 minutes.

Very disappointed, avoid.Either I had a one off experience or the majority of the reviews saying it’s the ‘best barber shop’ are fake.At first I was quite looking forward to my first New York haircut but soon after sitting in the chair I realised I had made a mistake. I asked for a scissor cut crop with lots of texture and point cutting.I got the quickest and most rushed haircut in years, the barber paid no attention to shape and I might of well asked for a buzz cut.He didn’t do any point cutting either and even finished off by giving me a skin fade at the back without asking and no warning, which was also lopsided.

I had an amazing experience at Paul Mole. Everyone there was very nice and friendly, and the service was fantastic. Alex cut my hair and it came out great. You can really tell the difference between a cut you get here and a cut you get at any other place. Im definitely coming back here for all my haircuts from now on!

Had an excellent haircut by a nice man named Benny. He was very professional and you can tell he had many, many years of experience. I’ve had my share of $25 haircuts from barbers around the city and it was definitely worth the extra $15 here. I will certainly be coming back!!!

Proper old fashioned barber shop, all barbers wearing suit and ties, jazz playing on the stereo and wonderful complimentary espresso given upon arrival.Peter was my barber and gave me a very professional smooth shave. While reclining in the chair I spotted rows of personalised mugs on the top shelves above the mirrors. Turns out they are awarded for 25 years of custom, and there must have been 50 of them. Im not surprised.Would thoroughly recommend to any visitor to NYC or indeed any local.CSLondon, England

I had a wonderful experience my first time visiting Paul Mole. Iv never been to a barbershop with so much history. The barbers were extremely professional and friendly. The shave and haircut I received was amazing as well. All around A+ will go back again.

All the boys and men in my family go to Paul Mole. Its a wonderful place. Old school. The haircuts they give are perfect. Im very tempted to go myself. Its not cheap but in a world gone crazy, its not over-the-top-expensive either. And they make a mean espresso. if you want to (back) into a civilized world, go get a haircut and shave at Paul Mole.

David cut my hair for my wedding (recommended by my father in law). The guy cuts hair very well and is very amiable. Then again, its not a cheap cut (costs $35), but it was in fact a very good cut and my hair grew evenly. For the extra $20 bucks I rather not eat lunch out just to make sure I get a good cut for 2-3 months.

Disappointed :-/I got a solid haircut, can’t complain. But to my surprise, 12 minutes in the barber chair for a buzz and trim set me back $67.80.That’s right, to buzz off my 5 o’clock shadow costed me an extra $20 - no warning of the added cost.$42 for the haircut + $20 for beard + tax and tip

Once in a while I go to barber shops to get a shave, to treat myself. I try different places. Paul Mole was bright and clean, though this is written before their move across the street. I came out with a patchy shave, oil on my ears, and frankly, I could have done a better job myself. In fact I do every morning. I am never overly critical, but the shave was neither close nor even. And for $35....
