My husband gets his haircut there and its always perfect. They pay attention to detail and always gives him a clean, sharp, perfect haircut and beard trim. Shape-ups are also terrific. Good, friendly, hardworking people. Prices are so reasonable, especially in NYC or anywhere. Give them a try. You will go back forever.

Me and my wife have been visiting Deja Vu Barber Shop since September 2020. It is the best barber shop in Midtown if you care about tidiness and gentle service. Since the place is family-owned for many years, the attitude is very careful to all clients, both new and long-lasting. All barbers show great attitude to both their work and visitors. Would recommend to both men and women, these guys really know what they do, and very importantly care about all COVID19 precautions to ensure you’re safe. Highly recommended!

I know its hard to do a hair cut with mask on but the barber left big chunks of hair on top and behind ears. I had to finish at home. Price is $25 plus tax plus tip, so at least $30.

The absolute worst barber I have ever had.I asked for my beard to be cleaned up and kept long, just even it out and they took off months of beard length.Along with the worst beard trim Ive ever had, I was also given multiple cuts.Go here if you want to lose your beard and if you want a bloody neck.

Took my son, he couldn’t handle any barber. Every other barber seemed like it was pure torture for my 6 year old son. The barbers here are very kid friendly and had my son laughing during his amazing haircut. So happy I finally found a place that knows how to not only keep him calm but he was happy and enjoyed the experience. Highly recommend this barber shop.

Consistent, quality haircuts. They give you a quick wash after. Pleasant guys, but no BSing around. They concentrate and get it done. Well worth the money. Highly recommend.

Just went here for the first time needing a local joint to get a trim, as I was starting to get confused for the local homeless population.Sam did an awesome job and did exactly what I wanted. My favorite barbershop in the city. I now live in Brooklyn but I still frequent this place because the prices are good and they have a great staff. Cannot go wrong with these guys.

Wont honor prices on their website. I brought cash prepared to pay for the price of a tape up on their website. I was told I cant do a tape up and would have to do a haircut even though I only shaved the sides and back and it took less than 10 minutes. I ended up paying by credit card. Credit card charge included an extra charge and I was told it was tax. But NY State sales tax is 8.875%. This was not tax but interchange they charged me. I dont appreciate the lies.

I never write reviews of places, but Ariel gave me the worst haircut I think Ive ever had. I showed him a picture of my previous cut to copy, but he worked too quickly and messed up literally every aspect of my cut. too short on the top, even after i told him repeatedly to keep it long, too long on the sides, even though i asked him to go shorter twice, both of my sideburns are crooked. Literally couldnt have had a worse experience.

I was initially wary cause of how fast and efficiently my barber seemed to he working, but the end result was a better haircut than most other places, in a fraction of the time. Its clear these guys know what theyre doing, and they give you a quick wash afterwards. Only wish Id found them earlier.

Best barber in the neighborhood

Ive been to Deja Vu about 3 times and 2 of them were good but the last one was incredibly horrible!I got a haircut with a bald guy who, for some unknown reason, was rushing to cut my hair (although the place was empty). He finished my haircut 3 minutes and simply ignored EVERYTHING I said. I dont even think hes a trained barber or have any training at all.Ill never come back to this place again.

The old guy from Russian was friendly with me..He gave me a good service.But one younger guy take care about my son was unprofessional and even impolite. He did not even say good bye. The quality of his work,was very poor and the service was Zero.It was very bad experience for my son .

No frills,simple but very good barbershop. There is usually one chair open/opening soon. It is a no-nonsense, quiet, efficient, and excellent work at an affordable price.

Will not be returning here! I went in for a clean-up and told the barber multiple times that I was trying to grow out my hair and just wanted a cleanup, about 1/4 all around. I said I did not want my scalp to show on the sides. First thing he does is grab the 1/2 shear and ruins my hair. Its normally an 1 1/4 on the sides. I told him it was entirely too short and he just said it looks good short. I spent 2 months growing it out just to leave the shop back to my original short hair, which I can now see my scalp all around. If you dont care how your hair is cut this is the place for you. If you want to have your hair cut the way you want I would avoid this place!!

Decided to get a beard trim since the posterior aspect of the beard is hard to reach. My barber is in Astoria and i live now in Murray Hill. So decided to go to this place that looked nice from outside. Place is nice, gives you a vibe of old fashioned/modern barbershop. Ariel took care of me (since the name was in the mirror). He welcomed me, ask me to sit on the chair. I told him i want a bear trim (only the hair sticking out), to make the back of the beard straight line and to the lower part just to keep it were was previously marked. Top lines were uneven, lower line was made higher, back part was made round, he cut to much length of the beard, and as a bonus he went without asking and cleaned up the back of my head hair line, making it high, uneven (i have long hair, with a bon, and was trying to keep a natural look) nad eve cutting some of my hair (i realized this after getting home). In resume, ia had to shave after 2 months and half of beard growth. With the posterior aspect of my hair will just have to live with the frustration. Because i have a lot of respect for barber and i admire their profession, i payed 12 dollars of my trim and gave him 8$. As a feed back, i will encourage ariel to ask the client and maintain better communication to avoid this mistake. The perfect hair cut comes when you are able to do a good balance between the client desires and your recommendations.

Very hit-or-miss. Sometimes I get a great cut, sometimes the barber ignores what I say and speeds through it. Avoid the unfriendly blond guy in particular.

Horrible. Was completely ignored as to what i wanted. Said that I did not want my mustache and goatee trimmed. The bald barber ignores me and trims my mustache super short and mutilates my goatee and remarks looks good -look like businessman. My girlfriend disagreed when I got home. Did a terrible job on back of my hair, too. Never will go back. Avoid this place.
