Always the best hair cut for my son and the barbers are all very nice and polite. It our go to place for a nice fresh haircut.

The staff seems to be burdened when you come in and they are very rough and try to rush the haircut. The guy I had got annoyed because i asked him to cut it a little shorter since he didn’t cut off anything. Would not recommend coming here

We love Franklyns! My boys (nearly grown) got their first haircuts there and continue to go there -- as does my husband. They are friendly, skilled and reasonably priced. We hope they re-open soon. We miss them so much!

If you want a general men’s haircut then I guess this place is fine but if you ask for anything different you’re just going to get that. I have been growing out the top of my hair and asked them to just shorten the sides and cleanup the top but not to take too much off. Well many ships later the top is short. I usually go to the barbershop across the street but the wait was too long so I decided to try the place. I will go back to Excellence Barber shop across the street from now on.

I love this shop, I have been going for couple years, just came back from this shop with a fire haircut. I will never stop coming to this place. I had this man named Jose today. He was so amazing and focused. And cut every little spot to make it look amazing. I’m 10 years old.

These guys are the best! I love a family style barber shop. Faust is my guy but all are good! Love the vibe in the place. Been there for a few years now! My son and I think you’d like it there too...

Not a bad haircut but would have been a lot better if communication was easier. If I knew a little more Spanish and the cutter a bit more English it might have worked a lot better.

I have been getting my haircuts at Franklins for years and have never been disappointed at any time! The place is clean and the barbers are excellent! I usually get my haircuts done by Jose or Franklin but all are great! One of the best values in New York City and yes, they do childrens cuts with the same excellence as adults!

All I can say is wow!!! It was like watching a master scupt a piece if art. In the photo is the Rivera behind me. Well worth the 20 bucks. Best hair cut I ever got.

Ive seen the barbers here mess peoples hair up, but they used to do a an ok job with mine so i stayed. The place is pretty dirty, hair all over the floor and on their equipment, but I didnt really know where else to go in the area so I kept going there. Its the kind of place where barbers say one thing and do another; this time they went too far and I will never go back. They also nick me basically every time i go there. This place is good for people who can settle with bad haircuts.The barber who messed up my cut also didnt apologize.

I have been going to this barbershop since 2008 when the used to be just 3 blocks down street. The guys have been the same and havent changed. I love the attention to detail that they give me everytime i go for a cut. The barbers are oh so very hospitable, polite, courteous and very accommodating even at times when i happen to stop by a minute before they close. No other barbershop can even come close to compare to these guys.

Walked-in to this barbershop after googling the closest one to my new apartment. The barber Kilvio is amazing. He really takes pride in his work and takes his time to make sure every last centimeter is perfect.

Asked the bald guy with glasses (not sure about name) to cut the middle and right sides of the top by a little bit. My guy took it upon himself to cut like half the hair from each side of my head, and nearly completely shave off the left (NOT the right or middle, as I specified; in fact, it was the part I specifically told him to leave long) of the top of my head. If i hadnt stopped him midway he probably wouldve shaved the whole top of my head bald. Definitely the worst haircut Ive ever gotten in New York.

My 5 yr old sons loves getting his haircut from Luz (sp?) She is very patient and sweet. Dad loves not spending $40 at the kids hair stylist down the street. And of course free lollipop pops for the kids.

Good haircut. And closes later than others. But the hygiene wasnt. He opened my collar before he finished the haircut, leading to the hair falling all over. The cover coat wasnt fully protective. And I never had a barber put his full hand on my face this frequently. Also when he sprays water, he gives no notice and little aim, so he kept misting my face

My experience was mediocre at best. The haircut was fine, nothing special. He didnt brush all the hair off my face after and the whole time I was hoping he wouldnt make a big mistake, did not seem like a good barber. I will certainly not return.

He barbershop was dirty and I did not trust the tools the barber was using. Not a single person in the shop spoke very good English. During my haircut, the barber could barely communicate with me about what I wanted and I was on edge the whole time because I did not know if he was going to get my requests right or not (he didnt). The haircut was uneven and seemed as if he barber didnt know what he was doing and making it up on the spot. His rusty buzzer required him to dig deep into my scalp to get a clean buzz and he even buzzed my skin! At the end of the haircut I HAD LITTLE CUTS ALL OVER THE BACK OF MY NECK! This was definitely the worst haircut experience Ive ever had.

They cut my forehead during a haircut and then denied it happened when I showed them. Pretty poor way to run a business and treat a longtime customer. Avoid this dirty, rundown shop and spend your money elsewhere.
