Visited for the first time today and it was fantastic. Every piece of equipment worked just like it should, facilities are very clean, plenty of cleaning supplies throughout the building and the staff were friendly and helpful. Showers clean, locker rooms in great shape and the sauna works!Dont know what more you could ask for. Definitely will be the goto gym!

Unfortunately, the gym has a hard time opening on time. If you plan on going to the gym early in the morning, look elsewhere. The opener has been late at LEAST once a week for quite sometime. So much so that they have stopped responding to me when I message the FB page letting them know that people are waiting outside...again. On numerous occasions, I’ve watched patrons leave after getting tired of waiting...again. May 26, 2021 at 4:17am...still waiting

Go to Planet Fitness instead. It’s cheaper, less crowded, and always open. I signed up for a year contract and quickly regretted it. The gym is very small and usually packed. When I moved out of Nashville they had no “moving” policy like a lot of gyms do and I had to pay large fees to cancel. All around, no redeeming quality of this gym. Avoid it.

Beware of any person who wants you to sign a contract before fully reviewing it. This is not a good thing! Please beware because sometimes what they tell you will not be part of the contract...They may be nice folks until they get your account information...Does Nancy Pelosi own this gym?

I had the worst experience at the gym. I was charged during the pandemic then told I would get August- October free. I was charged anyway then when I went in to cancel I was still charged $18 after the manager (Kaelin Sanders) once again said she would waive the fees. The communication is horrible and they don’t stand by their word. The Golds gym in Murfreesboro is much nicer and they have a higher level of professionalism. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GYM.

I have visited this gym back in December 2019 to hire a personal trainer. I have clearly explained my goals to Trainer Jeffrey. Before signing up, I clearly mentioned him, if I dont like the services or if I move from that location I would not continue to pay after initial month. Coming to the personal training services they offered are awful. They adjust schedule not according to the agreement I made when signed up but instead up on availability of trainer. First trainer dropped after 4 classes and they have assigned me other trainer who didnt train me as expected. So I have informed them I am not going to continue after first month. They are charging me $360 every month till now. I am trying to dispute those invalid charges now. This is a good gym with all equipment but trainers like Jeffrey are not providing genuine training once customers signed up and trying to make money off the customers who are seeking personal training. I dont even like to give single star, but marking single star for the gym equipment.

I visited this FANTASTIC gym while in town for a wedding! They have well-maintained equipment and a HUGE variety of machines (including a back extension machine which I can never find). It was clean, the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Best Gold’s location I’ve ever been to. Also the lighting was Instagram-worthy 😉

The only reason why I had to leave was because I relocated out of state for a new job.Overall, I was here for four years and really enjoyed it. Great staff, good equipment, and members are pretty courteous to each other. 5/5 and would highly recommend it.

Dont ever opt for PERSONAL TRAINING SERVICES here. They literally sweet talk with you to get a contract sign and then bind you for a huge monthly bill and the personal training services are not as expected and the trainers doesnt make their availability as agreed at the time of contract instead provide time based up on their availability. RIGHT NOW they have reported me to collection agency. They charged me for more 3 months more than the contract I sign for 3 months even though I informed them I cancelled the services and more over the 6 month period I was charged I was out of UNITED STATES for 4 months. These people (LIGHTHOUSE FITNESS MANAGEMENT) and the the JEFFREY guy here at gold gym are real fake and ready to loot your money all the way. I repeat the name of the guy who is responsible for my money $2500+ to be lost is JEFFREY at GOLDs GYM at BELLEVUE. I dont recommend this guy or GOLDs GYM at BELLEVUE and would never ever recommend LIGHTHOUSE FITNESS MANAGEMENT personal training services. If you are going to sign a contract well your money is gone right there. hopefully I save some customers money from these people through this message.

I absolutely love this gym! They offer a huge selection of equipment and space them out far enough to work out and be comfortable. Its in a good location of town and convenient to many things. The staff is great...very friendly. Knox (the General Manager) always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome! He is an amazing asset to the company! He signed me up for a great deal and always talks to me when I come in. I was having a problem with a piece of equipment and he helped me figure out how to use it. I suggest everyone check out this gym and ask for Knox when you go in so he can give you a nice tour and go over everything in detail. I love it!

This is easily one of the best gyms in the area. The membership cost is very reasonable. The equipment is well maintained, modern, and effective. There is a good selection of classes to choose from. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and helpful. I am proud to call this place my home away from home and feel welcomed, respected, and at peace every time I walk through those doors. Keep it up!

Not sure why this place has such low ratings. Im a member at the one and Hendersonville and theyre currently renovating it for the third time now. I went to this location because it was closest. WOW! Such an upgrade from Hendersonville. They actually have a sauna and steam room, and they have less treadmills and more equipment that majority of the members actually enjoy and use. I wish I lived closer because I would never go back to hendersonville if I had the options!

They will continue to charge your account after youve cancelled your membership. I cancelled my membership, then called my bank and blocked payments. 4 months later I receive a bill from a collections agency for my unpaid balance. This was AFTER Ive cancelled, havent went in 4 months, and have had a membership at a new gym for those 4 months. I was never called to be told my membership wasnt cancelled, or given a courtesy call to say hey, your payments arent going through but were going to keep charging your account anyway though youve cancelled and havent attended. Rather, I receive a bill months later. The lady I spoke to told me to email Golds collections with what happened and they would get back to me within 72 hours. I wrote that email 2 weeks ago--resent it 4 days ago. Still havent heard back. Now I call and golds gym doesnt pick up. Loved golds gym but it was a 45 min drive from my house in traffic. After this experience Ill never be back. You cancel they dont follow through, you email they dont respond, you call they dont answer. How are you supposed to get anything done with this kind of customer service? Am I supposed to waste my gas money driving to you AND pay the bill I shouldnt have gotten? Im all about giving people the benefit of the doubt. Im sure your payment things are automated. And accidents happen. People let things slip. But somebody has to be there to fix them, right? Surely you know what its like to be a customer and felt like youre being taken advantage of. From my perspective it seems Ive done what Ive needed to do.

Anyone giving a good rating to this place...works for the gym. They now claim a $10/mo offering in order to lure unsuspecting planet fitness members into their gym. Rest assured that planet fitness will likely treat you better...I wasnt even a member, but when I walked in they treated me like bait and tried to up-sell me like no tomorrow. I promptly left and will never return. Stay away...

Unlike many of the other posts on here, I so far have found the staff to be quite friendly and welcoming; however, the few members I have interacted with were incredibly rude. Coming from a well loved gym with a really friendly environment did not prepare me for how inconsiderate the members are here. I wish the staff would make it clear that they will not tolerate members being rude to other members.

Love this gym. Honestly the best Golds in Middle TN! Its conveniently located next to Five Guys, Starbucks, and Kroger, as well as a gas station. The sauna is huge, the people are friendly, and its honestly a great environment all around! Wish theyd fix the steam room, though.

Will l be buying out just to leave this place. Not enough room always crowded . Equipment seems to stay broke. And to be a multimillion dollar gym franchise. you would think it would be 24/7. Out of the military and to have seen a lot of gyms. One of the worst. Nice staff though.

Probably the dirtiest gym I’ve ever been in. Pretty sad because it has a great location and decent enough space. I’m actually typing this while I’m at this gym...water fountain is broken. Tanning bad has 14 bulbs that are out (one is loose and just kind of jiggling in there). There are about a half dozen pieces of equipment that are broken. Paper towels dispensers are out...doesn’t really matter because no one including staff cleans equipment anyways. Glad to see the staff all sitting behind the counter on their phones. Leaving here to find another gym.

This is by far the shittesr Golds Gym I’ve gone to. It’s nice to know that the gym closes at 11 instead being open 24 hours on the week days as it says on the website. I really don’t want to go to another gym and pay absurd prices for gym that is open 24 hours since I have to wake at 3 am. Don’t know what happen in the past month and a half but managemt certainly tanked.

Im currently in the process of looking for a nice, affordable gym close to where I live. Golds is in the perfect location & looked nice enough, so I went inside to check it out & possibly join. I was with my boyfriend & the guy at the front desk that helped us couldnt have possibly been more rude towards me. He didnt care about what I had to say or the questions I asked. He would only make eye contact with my boyfriend & ask him questions, even though my boyfriend specifically told him we were there for me because he lived 45 minutes away & wouldnt be joining. He proceeds to only address him throughout our visit & not so much of even looks at me. On top of everything, at the end of our visit, he gives my boyfriend a card to come back & try the gym for free & gives me nothing. I was planning on joining that day, but he turned me off so much, I decided against it & will be finding another gym to join. Its unacceptable to treat someone that way whos trying to better themselves & are genuinely interested in your services. I felt very belittled.

Poor management, very disappointed. Class schedule changes constantly. I am only 6 months into my first year membership and already experienced several class schedule changes. The worst part is they dont keep their website updated about schedule changes and dont have any kind of communication about it. The only way to know the current schedule is to pick up a print-out from the front desk. What kind of business does not take advantage of internet nowadays? I decide to buy out my membership and stop dealing with them.

Not sure what on earth everyone is whining about in the reviews. Someone actually complained that it smells. Good grief, its a gym! If it doesnt smell like body odor then people are wasting their time in there. Or that the equipment is too close together. It is kinda tight on the main floor, but that just means that they have all the equipment you could need. Does anyone go to a gym to be comfortable? If so, then go to that other popular gym where they will feed you pizza and candy and kick you out for breaking a sweat. This is a real gym, with real equipment and its freakin $10/month. So what is there to even complain about?

After sending my account to collections and paying off third party fee on my half. they continued charging me more than my original bill for 3 billing periods before then and a random charge of 20$ i attempted to ask what was going on but all they could tell me was that they didnt have any transactions including me n didnt bother giving any kind of help.

The staff is extremely friendly. The gym overall is not that great. When something is broken they put a sign over (weight bench, bench, water fountain, Cable machines, treadmills, bikes, and steam room) it and just leave it there without fixing it. I have been a member there for over a year and the steam room has never worked. They just put a new sign on it every couple months. Half of the weight benches are ripped and are uncomfortable. Its a great location but Golds is really slacking!

Ill give the previous commenter this - the equipment is entirely too close together. I use the open stride quite a bit and in order not to get killed by the person on the end, youve got to squeeze between the mirror and the end machine. If you dont fit, fuggeddabout it. Ive tripped over things and gotten bumped on things because theyre crammed in there. It was fine before they put that jungle gym thing in the middle of the room...although, that jungle gym thing looks pretty rad - I dont want to look like a moron messing with it :(Theres also one woman and a man - they dont appear to come together - that never EVER wipe down equipment. Gross. No one has said anything to them at all.Other than that, I havent really had a problem. I never got high pressure for personal training. I still havent used my session that was included when I signed up but thats mostly because Ive had way too much surgery and Ive run into too many club trainers that learned everything from a training manual and not college - I have no idea if thats the case or not here but Im just not willing to sacrifice $150k surgery to find out.No one has ever been nasty to me or my daughter. Weve been out for a few weeks due to a recurring injury but went back yesterday and it was as we left it.Except for the toilet seat in the womens locker room that almost fell off. I fixed that. About a year ago I stopped going to the gym for a while and apparently my credit card expired that was on file. They sent me to collections. I asked them why didnt they call me and I found out they had the wrong phone number and wrong address on file. I would not recommend this place if you care about your credit score. I couldnt even pay golds gym they money I owed them at that time I had to go through the collection agency. They wanted to set up an automatic draft from my bank account. I told them I it probably wouldnt be a good idea for them to have direct access to my bank account lol. Plus the membership isnt $10 a month like they advertise. Each year there is a close to $200 renewal fee.

Been a member since moving here, and I unfortunately joined without visiting first. Current members are rude and will interrupt your set on a machine because they want to use it. Staff also NEVER SPEAK!!! Rude all the way around. 2 stars for its convenience only.

This was once a great gym. However, it seems like the current management no longer cares. Exercise machines and other amentities once broken tend to stay that way.We decided to end our membership and were told that Golds Gym would not accept our notice to leave without paying $65 up front. We were incredulous that we couldnt even give notice without paying for the privilege.Since we did not have our debit cards with us, the young woman at the counter was kind enough to freeze our account until we could return to make payment.She also gave us a form stating it contained contact information for their headquarters in Murfreesboro. TN so that we could speak with them. However, this paper did not contain a phone number or email address. Instead, it provided an address to send a certified letter stating that we are providing our 30-days notice and that subsequently, we would be contacted by Golds billing department.After this experience and similar experiences, the goodwill that the Bellevue Golds Gym built up over the previous years is gone. Previously, I would have strongly recommended this Gym, now I cant wait to leave.

Definitely a terrible place with all terrible people working there. On July of 2015, I canceled my membership by filling up the cancellation form. However, there still keep charging me until August. I went back again for the reason why they still charge me, the answer was that the last person who handled that, didnt cancel it. So I have to do the same thing again fill up the form. But they never stop charging me, I have been there over 5 times try to cancel the membership with different people, also their manager. Still cant get it done.I have been working out at a lot of gym, this one is absolutely the most awful one.There is many gym around this area, try different one if you dont wan an waste money and cant get the cancellation done when you dont wanna go back.

This gym has went down hill so fast! Most of the Ellipticals knock and pop, and something is always breaking down. They stopped staying open 24hrs during the week as well. There’s several golds gyms in middle tn. This is the worst one, but yet it’s in the most expensive area? They need to step it up!

I cross train at Golds most mornings, extremely early. Ive been a member since the gym opened. Its extremely convenient. I do crossfit style teaining, squats, pull ups, and body weight training. My only complaint is I wish they would increase the cross training space and equipment, and they need a new cleaning crew, as the equipment and flooring is often filthy with dirt and clumps of hair and sweat. Theres a small and consistent core group of members that trains during the early morning hours, getting in their workout before work. Staff is extremely friendly. My training is consistently around 45 minutes, no waiting for equipment. Only other downside are members who stay seated on equipment for extended periods of time texting or talking on the phone. Very annoying.

I wish I could give it 0 stars. I really wish I had paid more attention when I signed up, but the $14/month deal seemed too good to be true. It was. Here are the cons (because there are no positives): (1) You will get harassed almost as soon as the digital ink is dry on your contract by someone wanting to do you fitness assessment (mine was Jeffrey). They will contact you by text (regardless of whether this is your preferred method of communication). The person who contacts you will not even be able to communicate well or professionally (lots of LOLs and misspellings). (2) There is NO SPACE in this place to stretch, except for the group fitness room, which always seems to be in use for group fitness classes (and you will be rudely asked to leave if you are in there for any reason other than the class). (3) There is NO SPACE in this place to even really walk around. The machines are spaced way too close together, as is the cardio equipment. (4) This place SMELLS. I know its a gym. It doesnt have to smell great, but it shouldnt smell this musty. If there were air circulating in the place, that would fix this issue, which leads me to #5. (5) It is so freaking hot in this place. There is no air circulating. This makes it not only stuffy, but also smelly (see #4). And going back to customer service, (6) When you try to cancel your membership, you better be there Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm because that is the only time they process refunds. They can take your money on a weekend, but they cant handle paperwork to let you out of your membership on a weekend. I have a BBB complaint out against this location of Golds at the moment.

Worst gym ive ever been, yes ill be fair the place is nice and has a good set up but they don;t know how to run the business, management is a joke, you guys be careful with your money, i had one year contract with them but after 4 months i decided to move to IL, so i went there in person tried to cancel the membership they said i have to pay 120$ cancellation fee, which i did and filled a cancellation request, after 1 months i realized they keep taking money out of my account, i called they said i cant cancel my memership and i have to pay till the end of contact 11/14, and today i realized they even still charging me after that date, i called them one of the managers was so rude he said it go month by month after the contract is expired and to cancel it you have to come in person and fill that cancellation request seriously ?????

I signed on to this gym with high hopes and left with nothing but a $300 bill with the personal training business they partner with, WHICH BTW IS NOT A PART OF GOLDS GYM. DO NOT JOIN THE PERSONAL TRAINING IT IS A JOKE! I know I looked at reviews before joining and wish I would have seen one like this! The personal training manager is awful and creepy...he hassles you for a meeting and then when you meet he is distracted the entire time and seems like a interview more than a meeting. Somehow I thought at the time it would be a great life choice, and I never tried a trainer, so for myself, I signed up. Disappointingly, the trainer I got was ok but asked me every time what I wanted to do everyday....never weighed me in, never had a file on me until my last session 2 months later, and never asked about my nutrition...just going thru the motions to get a pay check. HOWEVER, I will say overall this is a nice and clean gym. It is very very busy at peak times and is small so you wait for machines often..... Classes are ok, not as good as the Y by far! Also, staff is ok but every time I ask a question it seems like I get a different answer from each person. The best thing I will say about the gym is the the owner...he is wonderful and cares about his customers. After I left he genuinely seemed upset about the entire situation and was understanding, even refunded my joining fee which I never asked for. I still left with a $300 termination fee for personal training though!

Terrible. My brother tried to take advantage of the special monthly pricing offered (in order to stay competitive with another gym in town). He was pressured heavily into signing up for a premium membership for a couple of years. When he declined, he was treated very poorly by the staff...especially the trainer who tried to pressure him into all sorts of special programs. He was treated badly enough that he has not gone back since, losing both his sign up cost and the first months fee. What is doubly sad is that he is not in great health and this is the first time he attempted to get in better shape. Golds made him feel like only the young, beautiful and fit are worthy of their time and attention. I dont know why trainers get into the business, but I would like to think it is to help people. Obviously not at Golds Gym. They are in the business of making people feel bad and bilking them out of every penny they can...They should be ashamed of themselves.

My husband was in Nashville working for a while and decided to get a gym membership. He didnt end up staying long as we thought. Only had a membership for 2 weeks. We called to cancel they told us we would need to send a certified letter to cancel. We did. That was 2mths ago!They are still charging my account. I have called and called no one answers! And when I do get someone, they are no help. I would ever suggest getting a membership with Golds Gym. Only if you want to waste money.
