As a petite woman I have had to get many of my clothes altered. I was usually left feeling like the outcome was not as stylish or as flattering as I had hoped. Then I found the amazing guys at Alternate Concept! I have been a customer for over five years and would never go anywhere else! They instantly know what a garment needs to look flattering on your body and they are well versed in what is current. Furthermore they have always gone above and beyond for me when I bring in a piece that will need a lot of work. I can honestly say they have never once disappointed me. I think that’s really rare and can’t think of many other services I can say that about. I noticed a few reviews about “the guy who answers the phone”. While I have never had a bad interact with him, I can see how he might come across as straightforward. I say don’t let that turn you off from them. Give them a shot and let their great work and customer service win you over.

Chung and Chris are the best tailors in NYC hands down. If I have garments to alter I only send them here!

I have been using AC exclusively for all tailoring for 4 years now... If you want someone who will give you the straight truth about your fit and the possibility to achieve the look you want with alterations, this is your place. If you want someone to be nice and just do the thing you tell them to do without having a point of view, or someone cheap, go to a dry cleaner.

Have never had a problem here. A bit expensive but their work has always been exactly what I wanted and the fits are very on point. They work with a lot of fashion people so they understand fit, trends, materials, etc and I have never been disappointed. I have been coming here for 4 or 5 years.

I never bother to leave reviews, but had to take a moment to share how wonderful my experiences have been in working with Chung/Alteration Concept. The quality is second to none, the customer service is top notch (literally he is my guy for all denim alterations) and the turn around is always faster than expected.If you are looking for someone who understands selvedge denim than look no further. I was first introduced to Alteration Concept by an industry stylist who said APC uses Chung as their in-house denim guy. When I heard that I knew I was in good hands. After working with him on a number of projects I can say with full confidence that he is the best there is.

Just called to inquire about pricing and spoke to a really rude person. Will not be giving them my business due to his rude demeanor.
