BOOST FIT CLUB has established the GOLD STANDARD in infection mitigation. I am a paramedic that operates in Middle Tennessee.I wish that every business everywhere would adopt Boost’s model and example. I and my family and friends all work out here religiously. If every business adopted this model for infection control. It would greatly “BOOST” their patron’s confidence in the Management’s ability to provide a safe environment to come to. Thanks BOOST!! BRAVO!! BRAVISSIMO!!!For any business that wants an idea of how to implement the absolute best standard I have seen in infection control, watch their video on the gym’s reopening to see how you SHOULD do it.

I just recently started at boost. After my first week, I am already obsessed with going. I enjoy the variety offered not only between the machines, free weights, and work out areas but the amazing classes they offer. I took my first Pilates Reformer class this past week and plan to sign up for plenty more sessions. I feel comfortable working out and zoning into the class/lift without feeling like a bunch of people are watching or hovering over me.I am excited to continue to learn more about what Boost has to offer and utilize their facilities.

Im a fan of Boost Fit Club for many reasons. The staff is helpful and friendly. Ive been working with a trainer there for 1.5 years and have seen great results. I had little to no experience with fitness and no I feel more than capable of working out on my own. To those who have posted negative responses about the transition to a new location…I urge you to come back and see what is now available. All business go through growing pains and, good for the owners of Boost to want to build their business for their customers and themselves. A little dust and noise never bothered me and I can tell you that they are working often to keep improving the facility. I dont see the downside here. The new cafe serves delicious organic food that caters to a plant based eater like myself. Ill say that I was the quintessential hater on gym. Boost has changed me and my life. Thanks Boost Fit Club!

Boost gymnastics is the perfect place to learn gymnastics. My five year old has learned teamwork, dedication, self worth, skill, balance, and technique through a brilliantly sequenced gymnastics program. I used to teach beginner gymnastics and think I am qualified to rate Boost. Their coaches are kind, encouraging, expectant, and knowledgeable. Their staff are accommodating, helpful, and honest. The after school program gives more of the same. The coaches for the after school program do homework, offer a nutritious snack, encourage physical activity, and have your childs best interest in mind always. I cannot give these programs a high enough rating!

Excellent fit club with all the privacy you could ask for in a gym. I love the fact that I can literally go in this gym any time of the day and feel like I have plenty of breathing room. The staff are very professional and helpful. I love all the amenities they have here with the pool, locker room, massage therapy, and food & snack bar. There are tons of classes and activities as well. If you can afford a little higher price for a gym I would highly recommend using this location.

I have to say that I have been extremely satisfied with Boost FitClub! The recent move into the old WestSide Athletic Complex has been a slam dunk and is only getting better. Since Ive joined the gym Ive seen major renovations to the facility and there is so much more to come.Im new to Nashville and what originally attracted me to this gym is the great location for me, the size, the selection of machines, and the excellent price. After doing research into other gyms in the area I was excited to get starting working out once I realized how Boost FitClub can give you so much bang for your buck. And to top it off I received coaching sessions when I started. I cant say enough positive things about the staff as well. They build a bond with you which becomes more like a friendship over time than anything else. I always feel comfortable to ask questions and they have helped me better myself so much in the last few months.Since joining this gym I havent felt any pressure, there is no intimidation at all, and Im excited to workout here! Id recommend this place to anyone! Especially since I see all sorts of different kinds of people working out here and loving it.Oh and one last thing, since joining this gym Ive never had to wait to workout at any machine and it appears to be the same for everyone else. Were here to better ourselves and thats exactly what Boost FitClub helps you do.

I had jointed Boost Fit Club with a 2 year membership because it was at a cheaper rate. I worked out in the morning because the afternoon was too busy to get anything done. Everything was great until they started informing people that they were moving. While in transition they offered an alternate location to work out, but the hours were different and they had no child care. There was no offered discount for this inconvenience. When they had moved it was further away from my house and in the opposite direction from my work and was not convenient anymore. When I tried to get out of my contract, I could never get anyone to call me back. When I finally spoke to Joey and Jon, neither was helpful at all. They knew that the contract was iron clad and pointed out to me that it was in the contract that they had the right to move locations and that I was still contractually obligated. Offered me to buy out of my contract for $400+. I would implore you to not use this gym. I agree with the other reviews that they do not care about their members. They only care about locking you into an inescapable contract.

By far the worst fitness club in Nashville. They have constant (and I mean CONSTANT) up grade fees when there are literally no appreciable up grades. Their equipment is very out of date, worn, and often stays broken (out of service) for months on end. If you are into vintage work out equipment or would like a stroll down memory lane to see exercise pieces you havent seen in decades, this is your fitness center! They have numerous closures throughout the year and take almost every conceivable holiday off and their holiday hours are extremely tight and very UN user friendly. I am surprised they do not take arbor day off to be honest. On the weekends, they host a youth soccer league and parking becomes an absolute premium and there are thousands of children running all over, mostly unattended, plus, we all know how careful children are around cars when opening doors etc. I had my car dinged and scratched multiple times, and when I complained to management ( a term you will find laughable if you go here), I was told they were sorry, but unable to do anything about it, and they even suggested I park my car somewhere else! This to a paying MEMBER!They are SO over - priced I have no way to begin, and their contract has more fine print than most car or mortgage loans...They have multiple community arrangements which benefit their owners (who are quick with a smile, but slow to do anything of substance), but do not provide any value added to the club itself. They rent out their pool area to the MBA boys swim team every afternoon during peak hours during the swimming season, and the locker area becomes a day care. When raised to staff, once again, very quick to say they are sorry, and unable (unwilling) to do anything about it.Take your money and business elsewhere. There are hundreds of better gyms in the area, and someday Boost will realize this or they will (hopefully) go out of business.

Wow! Reading some of these reviews really baffle me. Boost has been going through major renovations. This place has become the best place for fitness in town by far. To see how others want to discredit them during this time is unfair and outright wrong. Yes it was dusty and cold during the renovations in the winter. It has been very exciting to watch Boost transform the old Westside club, which was dark and depressing. Joey signed me up and he has been great. The staff has been nothing but nice and supportive. BTW, I did a paid in full and left for a couple months and the froze my membership, which means they added this time to the end of my term. These guys have grown from their old location, which was nice, but small, to a huge facility with a turf field, amazing gym, gymnastics, tons of classes, a pool and a cafe that is looking amazing and some people were upset to have to drive like 5 minutes further. I hope if you are reading this, you disregard the bad reviews. I cant speak highly enough about this place. Its everything you need.

The only good thing about this gym were the classes and that was until the move. Working out in the extreme cold and dust all over the floors plus the elliptical and treadmills were constantly breaking. We paid for a year in full. Dont EVER do this at Boost FitClub no matter how much money you save!I was not able to workout for 8+ weeks after having a c-section. When I would talk to Joey about it he would just say he would take care of me.Once it was time to renew I asked him what he was going to do about my time that was owed to for me for my c-section.He said only if we renew will that time be added to the new contract. His explanation was their policy is to put a freeze on the account. How can you put a freeze on an account when its paid in full!?!When our contract was up, we were unaware that we actually had to cancel (our fault for not reading the contract again after signing it). The credit card on file was expired and no one called or emailed us about this. We just received a bill in the mail with $20 in extra fees plus the monthly fee.He did not take away the $20 charges but did only charge us half the monthly fee for my time after the c-section.I honestly feel that Boost FitClub was not the same place after Joey started!

The old facility was nice and the location was GREAT. Personally, I dont care much for socializing at the gym. Everyone was very good about respecting my privacy, but I also got the impression that it was a very warm and friendly environment. I like this over the aggressive feeling that I remember from other gyms (maybe Im paranoid). In the fall of 2012, Boost announced a move and MASSIVE facility upgrade. I saw the plans and new that this was going to be very nice. I immediately renewed my contract for the next 2 years to lock in my rate. I moved to the new facility and have been enjoying watching everything come together as I work out.Sadly, I was informed in early March that my job would be sending me out of town for the next 10-12 months. I remembered checking out the Boost reviews and DREADED trying to close my contract. Technically, I am not changing addresses (Ill be living out of hotels) and I know that it is not permanent. I read the agreement and I did not feel like I had good argument other than it was a special situation. I started the cancellation process online and tried to make sure that my situation was understood. I wanted to make sure that I was polite and understanding in the fairness of the situation for both parties. The GOOD: Joey and Jon took great care of me. As soon as I got them all of the facts and had a face-to-face, the problem was solved. I am not happy to be leaving MY GYM, but I am happy that they made the situation much better. The BAD: It was a bit difficult to get ahold of Joey to start (I did not start by putting in my 30day online notice). Obviously, it was during their huge renovation AND during the spring membership/renewal rush. The day that I had my face-to-face, I watched him take back-to-back appointments for a good 90 minutes during my workout before I approached him. It is a small business going through a busy time, no big deal. Conclusion: This place is great and the other reviews support that (unless you plan on dropping your contract). I feel like I would have been writing a very different review if I hadnt been polite. I had a contract with Boost that I had to break. I pleaded my case and asked for understanding. Because of that, I am leaving on good terms and cant wait to tour the finished facility when I come back!

We renewed our membership during the renovation. I havent minded the construction as the facility is so much nicer than Westside. That being said, there are a few issues...the yoga room is not very sound proof and it is next to the childcare center. It is loud... not a peaceful environment for yoga. I dont begrudge the children. They shouldnt have to play quietly. This is a defect in the design of the structure. I was also told there would be alot of new classes when the facility is complete. The only classes that were added included an additional fee. We will not renew our membership when it expires next year.

I have been needing a real gym for a number of year, but didnt want to drive the extra distance. I finally made the move and joined Boost after I saw their renovation. I get 1000% better workouts when I work out at Boost. They have more machines and weight options than anywhere I have been. I never have to wait for equipment. If you get bored with the same old workouts and need variations, Boost is perfect. The café is also great as I can pick up a post workout smoothie before I leave or a pre-workout drink if I forgot mine.

My husband and i joined Boost FitClub in September with Joey after speaking with John (the owner). We had choices between the monthly fees and to prepay which would save us a total of 225 dollars per year. We knew we would be moving and expressed our concern to both John and Joey about this. Joey wrote out a sheet with our Choices that show the breakdown and savings, beside the options he wrote 20+ miles $75.00 cancellation. My husband is an accountant, and was very worried that we would be pre paying for a service that we knew we would not see to the contracts end. After the reassurance that we would be covered we signed on. My husband is moving and our kids and i are following in the next month.. we submitted our cancelation and received three snarky emails from a general email account. After going up to the location and asking for Joey, then waiting.. and waiting and waiting..then calling several times i was finally able to reach Joey, he remembered me and the conversation we had with him on the night we joined. The only part he didnt remember was the part that sold us, the refund. After speaking with him he informed me that he would be speaking with John about this and assured me that he would go to bat for us. Tonight 01-30-13 i received a call from Joey saying Sorry, all we can do is not charge a fee for cancelation and you can give the rest of the time to a friend or family member This is unacceptable and i informed Joey, we arent from here so rolling this over is not an option..and this was not a favor for us... We simply ask for a refund on the portion we will not be using, with this gym.

Where do I even start?! We signed our first contract with Boost in January 2012. Didn’t have any problems (other than the A/C breaking several times) throughout that year. We renewed our contract in February of 2013 with Joey. When we signed the contract through June of 2014, we were never informed about the move that would take place later that year. We clearly signed the contract under false-pretense since they knew their future plans of moving into this “fabulous” new gym. When the move started to take place is when the problems started. They told us a couple weeks before they were moving that they were closing, and the new gym wouldn’t be ready yet. So…they gave us the option of working out at the Jewish Community Center. What a joke. When the new gym opened, they didn’t even have a locker room ready for over a month for the women. And I know it was even longer for the men. I had to wait my turn to change in one of the 2 bathrooms they had. Not to mention, I had to walk through sawdust and a construction site to even get to the group fitness room. That itself was another disaster. The lights were so dim you could barely see, the floor was covered in sawdust, making it very slippery. We were literally told by our instructor to wipe our shoes with water during class. And…there weren’t even doors. My husband also hated the new gym. It feels like a huge warehouse. Not at all what we signed up for. We ended up joining a new gym in February and cutting our losses. We had to cancel 30 days in advance of our June expiration, which took multiple phone calls to get confirmation of our cancellation.Back to the contract - when we signed our renewal contract, Joey said we would have to pay a $50 facility enhancement fund in June of 2013 and June of 2014. We told him the fees were not part of our prior contract. He said if we brought our expiring contract to him, he would remove the charge. So, I went home and found our expiring contract and brought it in to him within the next couple days, and he said “he would take care of it.” My mistake for not getting it in writing, because he didn’t revise it. After I called to cancel our contract effective June when it expired, I got a $50 charge to my credit card a few days later (we weren’t charged in June of 2013). I knew exactly what it was for, so I called and left several messages with people at the front desk. Of course no one ever called me back, so I disputed the charge with my credit card. Joey of course sent the contract (without the facility enhancement fees removed) to my credit card company, and my credit card denied the dispute. It’s obviously my word against his, and we are paying the $50 just so we don’t have to deal with the incompetence of Boost anymore.
