I saw a sign outside the management office asking residents to leave a 5 star review on Google, which reminded me that Ive been meaning to leave a 1 star review here so thank you for reminding me, Arium. This place used to be awesome when it was called Hawthorne. Ive lived here almost 4 years. The new management from Arium came in a couple of years ago and its been downhill ever since. The office/management rarely wore masks or practiced social distancing during the worst of the pandemic. All of the amenities are in disrepair. Someone stole all the dumbbells out of the gym over a year ago and they havent been replaced. The pools are disgusting and werent opened until over halfway through summer this year.General basic services are not provided adequately. They broke the mailbox system about a year ago and held my mail in the office along with several dozen other tenants. They took months to replace the mailbox, and for weeks I was instructed to drive 20 minutes to the post office to get my mail. The water mains/pipes are regularly broken or turned off for repair. I would say 2-4 times a month. They send out emails sometimes warning that theyre doing this, but often its just minutes beforehand giving you no time to prepare. This has caused me to miss many a shower over the years here.I hate living here but I cant be choosey with where I live right now because of finances. So here I am, to try to persuade you to avoid this place like the plague.Including some photos of broken stuff from around the complex common areas. Wish I had more photos.TLDR: The management is extremely rude and unhelpful, the water gets turned off almost weekly with no warning, and the amenities are SO broken it should be illegal to advertise them.
I recently moved out after almost 3 years of residency. There are no frills in these apartments. They’re a decent size for the price. There are 2 pools on the property but they are not very big and usually fill up quickly with children and their parents. The gym got vandalized a few times, and there was missing equipment. There are a few treadmills and 2 ellipticals, some free weights, leg press, and an ab machine—the basics. Depending on what building you’re in, the apartments are pretty close to the interstate and airport, so you can hear both inside. Maintenance is very responsive. Some areas aren’t well lit and never were in the time I lived there (even after I put in a request). I paid a little extra to live inside the gate, but no need since the gate is ALWAYS open (or broken) anyway. When I first moved in, the previous management team was horrible, so this one was an improvement. My advice is do not sign up for auto draft. When I re-signed my lease last year in 2020, I signed for 15 months. Due to a clerical error, I was charged nearly double my rent on top of 4 $200 month to month charges. When I realized the error, I immediately alerted the front office. When I requested the refund be deposited back into my account, I was directed to an accounting associate. I did not receive my “partial” refund until 2 months later, 2 weeks after I moved out. I could barely get anyone on the phone, instead, I had to physically go to the office. When I emailed the accounting team, I was only met with excuses. Upon receipt of the final refund check, I was charged $200 for leaving a welcome mat and a broom and dust pan, $75 for a hole larger than a quarter (could have been from my mounted TV but the holes were not that large), and $40 for them to clean the inside of the over and freezer.
Place is very old and not insulated well at all the air never gets a break in summer and heat never gets a break in the winter. The office personnel is rude. When i moved in they told me it was newly renovated butscreen doors werent on, just sitting on the back deck witch is scary to walk out onand the building isnt anywhere close to meeting code especially to be newly renovated. Cant wait to get outta the place. It does have gates that are never closedand ONE trash area that you can never get to between friday and monday because its blocked by all the lazy peoples trash. Do not come here. You can definitely find better for what they charge!... You are warned
Keep in mind that Im not living here writing this, but it could be good to read if applying.I applied for an apartment here and paid my application fee. I went out of town and they cancelled the application and took the $200 application fee. I called them up and they basically explained that since I was not able to come in, Id have to redo my application and pay another application fee. The lady I talked to was nice, but hopefully the company reads this and reconsiders their practices.Edit: I tried reapplying because I still need a place to live, the website is not letting me start a new application. I tried calling the office numerous times throughout the day and have been unable to get to anybody. This is a scam, save your money, time, and headache.
Apparently the patios you pay for are strictly not for smoking. They’ll try to fine you $1000 for an ashtray. (Mine had 3 cigarettes in it) So enjoy hanging out on your patio the view being more apartments.
I am approaching the end of my lease here and I would have to say I truly enjoyed my stay. The community is clean and quiet, and both Anthony and Mariana has impeccable customer service skills. My credit was challenged and this community offers a second chance program which is what I used that literally saved me and my child from impending homelessness while I worked on rebuilding my credit. The community is beautiful and there are a lot of things offered i.e. package lockers, dog park, laundry room, fitness center etc. That make it a convenient place to live. It is also well worth the rent.
I really don’t like the attitudes that the “Office” staff members have when speaking to the customers. There’s this one lady who seems to be Hispanic around 20-30 years old that instead of speak calmly, she screams. They have a poor professional customer service. I don’t recommend this place.
My name is Amalia .I’m in the lookout for a new residence, I came across Arium south oaks, I love how clean and quiet the place is but most of all the profesional customer service experience that you offer. Marianna answer all my questions and concerns which to me is very important and really appreciate. I’m still looking and searching all my options but for sure you are on the top of my choices. Keep up the amazing customer service .
Thank you Marianna for your help, very professional and knowledge. I appreciate your service. Fully recommended, ask for Marianna when you come to arium
I was looking for an apartment and Mariana was a really great help, because she listened to all my requirements and found the perfect one for me and my family. Overall, excellent service and I will totally recommend her if you need help finding an apartment.
I lived here for 4 full years and loved it. I lived in the apartment complex next door for a few months before moving to Arium (then called Hawthorne) and it was night and day differences. So much better. The rebrand was a bit chaotic at first because maintenance was tricky but the new PM, Anthony, was super helpful and understanding when it came time to move out. Youll always have noise in an apartment, and sure the demographics changed over time as neighborhoods around it changed. But overall the apartment complex was a great place to live. Safe and friendly with nice and clean amenities. Apartments were a bit dated but not old and kinda gross like other apartments in the area. Definitely would recommend living here and if I ever move back to Nashville it would be on my list again.
(I was asked to write this review in an email I received from ARIUM LIVING.)CONVENIENT!I love my 1 BR apartment. Parking right outside my front door. The woods right outside my patio door. Noise from adjoining apartments does not leak through the walls. Kroger and many ethnic food eateries nearly. Less than 15 minutes to drive downtown.Office staff - always very friendly and easy to deal with - but seems to change every few months (kind of perplexing). The maintenance team is obviously understaffed, which means it often takes them a long time to get to some requests and issues (like parking lot lighting issues). I wish ARIUM had a higher maintenance budget to consistently keep everything in better repair and appearance.Thinking about moving here? Ask for an in-person tour of the rooms and areas pictured on the website; get all agreements in writing; and stop by after dark (if you can) and observe the lighting outside the buildings and in parking areas, etc.ARIUM SOUTH OAKS is situated between a lower-quality (HAVEN - southeast) and higher-quality (GAZEBO - northwest) property. We probably get what we pay for! :-)
I love these apartments so much, the manger Anthony is very helpful and is always welcoming. I have been with them for years and always been treated good with professional and positive attitude. I would definitely recommend Hawthorn South Oaks.
Truly an amazing community to be apart of. The office staff has been nothing but wonderful during my lease and it made me decide on renewing. I would definitely recommend to a friend :)
Extremely unresponsive and irresponsible management. Leasing agents are unorganized. Do not waste your time or money!
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!SCAM SCAM SCAMThey will promise you referral credits on you rent and then refuse to give it to you after speaking at length with them about it. This is on top of a whole slue of things, from bad maintenance to package delivery problems to loud and rude neighbors. This place is an absolute joke. Do NOT sign a lease here.UPDATE: Emailed them at their request below and shocker, no answer. They do not care about their residents WHATSOEVER. They just want your money. If you want to live somewhere where the office staff cares about its residents, this is not the place.
So far I love the area its close to stores! Anthony, the property manager, very helpful, meets and check in to resolve issue . Jose and Isaac, the maintenance crew, is so friendly and responds quickly to any problem I have with my apartment. Great Staff, professional, friendly, and responsive.
This complex is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. While the lot and units themselves are pretty, the staff is TERRIBLE. Maintenance takes at least a month to respond to requests. I’ve even had requests that took six months to respond to (or never got fixed). Before it changed ownership, the place was great. But since then, it’s been a nightmare. There isn’t enough parking, the gates are always broken (which is scary when you can hear gunshots most nights), and the office rarely responds to voicemails. I’ve never been able to log onto rentcafe so I’ve always had to have my roommates put in maintenance requests and submit rent for me. The office didn’t help me at all in trying to fix this problem. I’ve also had to kill 4-5 brown recluses in the last year and a half. Overall they just don’t have it together. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
Weve lived at this complex for a year and have not had the best experience with the previous office/maintenance staff. Im so thankful that Anthony and his team recently took over! Because of them we have decided to stay and sign another lease. Anthony, the property manager, always takes time to call us back and check in on any issues that might have occurred, no matter how busy he is. Lloyd, the maintenance manager, is always so friendly and responds quickly to any problem we have with our apartment. The two of them, along with the other office staff, are always so professional, friendly, and quick at responding. Thank you Anthony and Lloyd, 5 stars!!!***UPDATE***Unfortunately Lloyd only lasted one week and I haven’t heard from Anthony since writing that review. The maintenance team is very nice but unfortunately is only 2 guys for the whole complex so be prepared to wait up to 2-3 weeks to hear anything back unless they consider it an “emergency.” Changing to 3 stars only because Luis and his maintenance partner are so very nice and helpful when they are able to make it to our apartment.
DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!If I could give this place a zero star review, I would. I cannot stress enough how TERRIBLE this property and its management is. I have never had as many problems with an apartment complex as I did while living here. I would seriously recommend looking at Gazebo Apartments across the street instead. Arium South Oaks office is filled with scammers and they provide the most unhelpful customer service.PROBLEMS:- There was literally NO communication about whether lease was approved, info about move in, NOTHING.- Was told to make an appointment to pick up keys, scheduled for 10AM, when I went to pick up the keys I was told they wouldn’t be ready until after 1PM.- They put the incorrect amount of $ we owed on the welcome letter (that we got 2 days before move in) & then tried to demand more $ from us while picking up keys.- Did not set up package room correctly and I had a package that I could not pick up for DAYS until the office was open again.- Toilet did not work and shower was installed incorrectly in one of the bathrooms upon move in.- Lock on front door did not function correctly.- Told we were going to get washers/dryers, then told they would be installed 2 days later, then received an email saying “The contractor has put washer and dryer deliveries on hold until further notice.”- NO PARKING EVER- Packages stolen from front door multiple times- Lots of crime occurring within the complex.- Black mold in shower that won’t go away- Management tows cars with NO notice.- Brown recluses everywhere.- Endless problems with washer/dryer installation- Charged extra for November rent and couldn’t provide us with any communication as to why- Property manager is “on a conference call” every single time i call to discuss issues- The security gate is NEVER closed when it should be.- Not paying insurance $ for an injury that occurred on the property.- Unable to assist me in being overcharged for rent for over 6 months.- Upon moving out, they demanded an extra $400 from us.
DO NOT RENT HERE! I cannot stress this point enough! The apartments, the price, and proximity to Nashville make it seem like a dream come true. But once you move in, you will find it’s your biggest nightmare EVER! I can’t wait for our lease to be done so we can move. I have reported them to the BBB for many of their antics but here are just a few of the reasons you should NOT live here:1- Maintenance requests can take months even for the simplest of issues. When we moved in to our new place I should have known we were doomed as the front door lock did not work and I had a punch list of 6 items to be repaired . This list took over 4 months to correct and many times had to rework as most of their maintenance staff while friendly are completely incompetent. They will blame the length of time on Covid but that is nonsense . I was here before Covid and it was equally as bad.2- the gates are always broken. The office staff will blame this on the residents and while there is truth to that, in this day and age there is a simple fix - install security cameras and go after the people doing damage.3 - lived here 2 years and the 2 pools look awesome but they are always broken . Last summer NO POOLS were open for months during the summer. The pool by the mail room has NEVER been open since I have lived here so paying for amenities that we don’t get to use.4- our mailboxes were non-functional for months and the office blames this on the post office but I blame it on their incompetence. They should know what they need and order appropriately. Was a total inconvenience to have to go to the post office which is over 2 miles away. I should be reimbursed for my gas to have to go there on the daily.5- have had to prove over 6 times to them that we have renters insurance even when I have sent the evidence to the company electronically and we are getting overcharged as a result. If you live here just get their insurance or you will pay double and be inconvenienced CONSTANTLY a for having to prove you have insurance.6- the office staff are so unhelpful totally useless . They never answer the phone . You have to always go in and bother them to get anything done and even then you can’t get them to do the right thing.7- called corporate and they are hateful . Don’t expect any help to come from them .8- a majority of the parking lot lights do not function properly which is a safety hazard especially for women late at night. Simple to fix just need to change bulbs and fix light poles but once again this issue shows their lack of concern for their resident safety .9- there are only 2 maintenance staff for this entire complex . ARIUM is out for money only this is very clear. Anthony has stated they cannot any get any help. I find that excuse ludicrous.10- the vacuum cleaner at the car wash did not work for months . Finally fixed. What a joke.12- my neighbors dog got lost due to a whole in the fence. So if you care about your pets lee that in mind. They will tell you what you want to hear to get you to rent here but when you need something forget it. Read all these negative reviews here that should tell you something! DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT RENT HERE!Gazebo across the way is a better option. We will be moving out as soon as we can.
I called these guys by mistake trying to contact my own property management. They followed up on the missed call and I briefly spoke with Denise. Not gonna lie, she made me consider moving in, she was super sweet, but ultimately the price was a bit too far out of my budget. Will definitely consider later on though!
They can’t keep a property manager for more than a year but are very diligent about refusing to give former residents their mail.
I have lived here for about 9 months. Shortly after moving in the community was purchased by another company. During the switch some things were not done to an acceptable standard (repairs taking much too long), but it was a time of transition and they were taking a lot of repair orders. The recent experience has been much better, with attentive staff and fast mechanic response. Really, I just want to pay my rent on time and get help with the property when needed, which has been the recent experience. It is a beautiful community with modern living arrangements. They have many activities they plan for the community. I have updated my previous review from 1 to 5 stars, per the better experience and am looking to renewing my lease. Shout out to Michael, thanks for all your help with the renewal process!
This place is nothing but AMAZING. I walked in to see a tour and 3 hours later I have an apartment. The leasing management Denise was super nice and sweet. She made sure I was happy with this simple process. Thank you for everything.
Ive lived in many apartment complexes and I have to say this is the best one so far. The management gets the job done and the environment is great. They always have events that residents can enjoy.
Jasmin and Michael has been extremely helpful and being on top of my process of getting me an apartment! I extremely recommended they are very nice and Professional and respectful. Thank you for all your hard help!
Recently, weve had new staff to come in. Hopefully, this staff is permanent. Theyve been very understanding so far and trying to correct many wrongs from the previous staff/company. I am finally getting a transfer into the apartment that I was suppose to have months and months ago. I hope to see more positive things reflected to the residents in this community. After so much turmoil, we do deserve it indeed. So far everything is looking up. :)
Love living here! Ive been here for 4 years, almost 5, and been through 3 management transitions. The new management is by far the best! They respond next day to service and maintenance requests. When theyre done, they clean up like they were never there. Im happy to call ARIUM South Oaks home
Beautiful community, well appointed apartments and a fabulous staff. I, personally, couldn’t ask for more. I love that the community is surrounded by nature with an abundance of mature landscaping. (Not common these days with all the new construction!)This property is a hidden gem! Also in a great location. Convenient to lots of local shops and dining.
I have been living here for about a year and have had total lack of communication and felt as if I was a nuisance with the office staff, until recently this new staff took over. I absolutely love and appreciate Ms Teresa.she has been very helpful and attentive. Im glad to see we have people who actually care working here.
Too much change in the office staff. Since it changed from Hawthorne South Oaks to Arium South Oaks, I have not seen the same person more than twice in the office. The staff is different literally every month or so. This new staff isnt very understanding, either. Will not be resigning my lease if there isnt a staff in the office longer than 6 months this year.Update: was scammed out of several hundred dollars by this new management. The most reprehensible people on Earth work here. Do not be fooled by all of the positive reviews solely for Marianna. Those people will end up hating their lives too after living here.
ROCHES, BUGS, SPIDERSI actually was looking for 0 stars!I have lived there for one year• I have called them many times about Roches and Bugs and no one have done anything for a whole month until the pest control came! Even after they came there still Bugs and Roches everywhere.• Horrible management and not helpful at all! They never answer the phone when you need something but they keep bugging you when they need something.• They always make you feel like you’re renting their apartment for free and they’re making you a favor.• (READ YOUR CONTRACT CAREFULLY) So you don’t fall in the trap that they use in their CONTRACT.• During the Covid pandemic when i have lost my joband my income and when my lease have expired they made me pay $650 on the top of my rent which is $1300! They charged me $650 extra for being a few days late on sending them a notice about not renewing my lease! And by the way i have sent them the notice 49 days before my lease has expired and they still charged me the $650 (Day by day charge) while i have no job because of the pandemic!I have tried to talk to the manager about it until finally someone answered the phone and she put me on hold then she hung up on me!That’s why i’m telling you to read their scamming contract.• Let’s talk about parking spots!I used to live at a town house next to another town house (next door). So me and the other town house next to me we have 5 shared parking spots just for us but the thing is that some other residents from the other apartments used to park their cars in front of my apartment for days and days when i have no spot left for me to park my car in front of my apartment! And when i made a complain and they actually blamed me for complaining and they did nothing about it so i had to park my car far away from my apartment.• Maintenance. (Extremely bad maintenance for a $1300 rent)When i first moved there, There was many things needs to be maintained! I had a water leak from the kitchen ceiling and a water leak in my bathroom!• The apartment floor is covered with a very cheap kind of floor wooden looking sticky wraps that have bubbles in it! And that made the floor looks like a little mountains not a flat surface if i can say that.• Walls paint was horrible• Bedrooms and bathrooms locks don’t work.So after all i really regret paying $1300 a month for a very bad management and bad maintenance.
Ren is supa professional, caring and he got me into Arium South Oaks so fast with zero issues. The apartment is cozy spacious and clean. Thank you Ren (Ren is no longer with ARIUM South Oaks)Edited: MAIN issue I have is with maintenance. It took over 2 weeks to fix my fridge (around Thanksgiving) because they kept putting it off saying it was my fault🤨 I lost over $75 worth of food waiting to get it fixed. Finally (after Thanksgiving) I received help from an amazing maintenance man who worked desperately to fix it and did. He even followed up on it to ensure it was working properly.
I would like to recognize Ms.Teresa for her great customer service! Everytime i need to gon to the office shes always smiling and so eager to help me and everyone. I used to hate to go into the office with the past staff but now they are getting things done around here! Thank you again Ms. T for always smiling and making me and my wife feel welcome
We’ve lived at Arium for a little over a year. While the transition to new ownership was a little nerve-wrecking, but they have only made improvements around the complex since they took over. My only complaint about the complex is that the gate at the main entrance is broken more than it works. The neighbors can get a little too rowdy and like to leave garbage everywhere, but that is no fault of management. Overall, the location and spacious size of the 2 bed, 2 bath apartment will keep us here until we’re ready to look for a house. I would recommend any of my friends to live here.
The property recently was acquired by a new management company and WOW! Its a total 180 from the way things used to be. They have a new 48 hour maintenance guarantee, friendly staff in the office, and lots of perks for renting with them. Michael made sure we knew we could contact him with any problems. After some issues with the previous management, we were unsure if we would stay here once the lease was up, but now we are feeling great about it. We look forward to upcoming improvements to the gym and outdoor activity areas. Overall this location is safe, and there is reliable valet trash pickup and plenty of parking. Absolutely recommend living here!
The staff is Very professional and knowledgeable! Moving from out of town can be tedious but they made the experience effortless.. the apartment was ready upon arrival and no issues. I like the fact that it’s gated so you feel safe at night. Great location for groceries and shopping!
I’ve been a resident here for three years. Arium has made some great changes here. Anyone looking for a place should request for Jazmin she’s super helpful and friendly. Again ask for Jazmin!!!!
Hello to you all, I just want to take the time out of my day and say thank you to Michael and thomasa here at arium south oaks property for showing love to all of us residents and hosting the residents appreciation week with lots of food/beverages and goodies everyday. For also thanking us for being valued residents all while listening to our complains about the property, that really means a lot to me. We have never seen them here before but they treated us as if they had known us for years. Thank you guys so much and keep up the great work.
I went to view this complex two weeks ago. The room they let me see via self-guided tour was a MESS. it smelled like cigarette smoke, the door was off the hinges AND to top that, the apartment manager or worker (Ren) was EXTREMELY rude and demeaning. Obviously not picking this complex to live. BE AWARE.
I’ve lived here for a little over four years now. One of the things I like about this place is how close it is to everything. It’s close to all the major highways. I’ve seen many changes in the office staff but regardless they are always friendly and helpful. One thing though is that unless it’s an emergency, the wait for a maintenance request to be completed might take some time.
My apartment is perfect for me and my dog Poochie! My apartment has a private view and vaulted ceilings, I love it! My apartment is near one of the 2 dog parks, and the pup wash station. The community has so much green space and is in a walkable neighborhood. I love living in a tucked away neighborhood, but also close to everything! There’s many different restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping near by. I love living here.
Well, we just got our keys and I’m pretty disappointed. It is not at all what Jennifer said it was, so work with someone other than her if she’s even still there. The bathroom is a mess, they clearly didn’t clean up after themselves because there’s drywall/plaster dust from the sanding everywhere. She told me all walk-in level apartments have vaulted ceilings, incorrect. The kitchen layout is completely different than said. The bedroom closet - also completely different. Not really sure what to do here. This is awful. Brian is a super nice guy, work with him. I unfortunately will probably be paying another visit to the office to speak with a manager.
I loved this complex when it was Hawthorne. The Arium management has done nothing but screw me out of money and no one is responding to my emails. Had a friend go into the leasing office to sign a lease and one of the women filled out her whole application for her. Said since I was a reference I would get $500 for a rent credit. It has now been 3 months and Ive never recieved the credit. Was told I might not be able to get the credit because my name wasnt on the application that one of the workers filled out! I resigned my lease and was told for 15 months it would be $1146. I asked if that was my total with utilities and was told yes. Now Im being charged $1211? Im writing this review with hope that someone will finally respond to me and help me resolve these issues.Edit: Sent an e-mail to the address listed in the response. Still waiting on an e-mail back.
I wish that I could be cryogenically frozen until my lease ends.
This place is a expensive dump. No I would not recommend living here its like living in an expensive ghetto. Trash everywhere nonworking cars parked everywhere noisy all hours of night if you have a problem the apartment complex says just call the police we wont do anything. Its horrible
I just moved in! The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Close to downtown and affordable. Since I came to view the apartment the staff has been accommodating, responsive, and helpful. So far I am excited to call it home!
The apartments are average and the neighbors are hit and miss. If you enjoy dealing with rude and unhelpful office staff, a broken pool all summer long, nothing ever getting fixed and lost packages (constantly!) then this is the place for you. I’m a fairly patient person but after a while it all adds up to an overall frustrating experience. The apartments are fine but it’s all the extra drama from the office that makes living here so frustrating.
After living there for a little over two years I moved out when they wouldnt budge on my rental increase. It had gone up well over $100. I had a partially updated unit but when I asked if I could have the other updates such as wood blinds because I was getting another big price increase I was told no and my price wouldve gone up even higher. The big kicker...when I moved out they listed my unit for $812. They were trying to charge me $1060. I literally couldve moved out, and moved back in and saved $250 a month (or around $3K for the year!) I also had over a month with no AC (I was at least given a window unit). LOTS of spider problems. I dont get why theyre not willing to drop or at least keep the price the same with a good renter. They had to put my unit on the market for much lower and it was on the market for several months before being rented. I could go on an on about the other issues this property had but trying to up-charge me only to list my unit MUCH cheaper was the worst.
I really like it here. Ive stayed here for about a month and its been a pleasant experience thus far. I have a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground level. Its huge! Any maintenance issues I have are handled pretty quickly, too. I would recommend it!
Well I move in SATURDAY and I promise the Staff from Denise, the young lady that showed us our apartment, Tyler, Ren,and even Lebrandon from liberty rent, have been so so accommodating and helpful to us .I cant wait until we get there .Thanks, You Guys are #1 the best
Shout out to Miss Teresa! Shes a amazing person and takes her time to explain how the great property Arium works. Shes a really kind person plus respectful and really represents the company Arium well. Shes a woman that has her head up and always ready to answer any questions plus helpful an any way. I really like the property Arium I think you guys will too! If you guys well ever like a great apt come see Miss Teresa. She will find the apt the suits you.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. I have had COUNTLESS issues with the Arium staff and management since they took over Hawthorne. It takes MONTHS to have any issue even addressed. I had to not only put in requests online, but I also had to call the office for them to manually put in my requests and my issues still took over 3 months to be resolved. My kitchen sink is broken and is spraying water everywhere when its turned on, my shower had to be fixed four times since living here because it was leaking so much, when I first moved in they had to drill out the handle on my front door because it was jammed and I couldnt get in my apartment for 24 hours... the list goes on. I have not been able to access my leasing information since the transition to Arium management. They took my documents off the online portal and I have requested twice that they be put back on, but that hasnt been resolved either. I have had so many empty promises given to me that I have no respect for management. There is someone different working in the office every day. Horrible experience since Arium took over.
Thank you marianna for your service !!
I live here at Arium and havent had a good experience until the new staff came along, teresa is wonderful she listens to me and takes care of my needs. I put a few work orders in and she had the maintenance out that same day when it usually took weeks for the maintenance to even show up. Shout out to the new staff! Teresa you’re awesome thank you for everything!
Ive lived here for 3 years and seen a few management AND maintenance turnovers. Ive experienced a few maintenance hiccups in the past. Overall, the current office and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful and the service has been speedy and executed with professionalism. Ive enjoyed my experience here and dont plan on moving anytime soon!
They waited to the last minute to notify me that I was unable to move in for another 2 weeks. The floor was warped, under the sinks there is so much water damage that the flooring under the sinks cave in. The piping under my sink was complete disgusting and clogged with old food. My balcony railing was barely hanging on by a nail. The bathtub drain stop was corroded so badly that it was hanging off. We had to re-caulk the bath tub because there was so much mold. Some doors don’t shut. There was a door handle on back wards to a closet which I had gotten locked out of plenty of times. And the blinds were not placed properly and have fallen on multiple occasions. One time being on my sons face. I’m VERY disappointed with this complex.Update: I’m changing my review from 1 star to 4. When I moved out a new management had taken over and were so good to my son and I. They were so accommodating and very flexible with my time frame. I recommend Hawthorne and their new team ☺️!!!
My experience at Hawthorne South Oaks was nothing but positive. The staff is courteous and are genuinely interested in providing the best home environment. The socials have been a great way to meet my neighbors! Any request I asked of maintenance was handled quickly and efficiently. I do not have pets so personally I am glad there are rules and regulations regarding housing for them. Contrary to some of these Google reviews I would absolutely recommend Hawthorne South Oaks!!!
I have no idea why the management are so fraudsters!! Why in the hell would they over charge me $700 for some lies!Very rude and disrespectful unfortunately.I regret every single day i’ve lived there
Usually been slippin on the maintenance but thr newer staff have definitely been doing better shout out to Teresa Hernandez, shes been very helpful 👍
I came in to view the property and applied for a unit based on the rate available on that day. After my move in date was pushed off several times over several weeks, they finally called me and told me they had to increase the rent price because there was a misunderstanding. I was working with Heather from corporate headquarters, she quoted me the move in special. I only signed because she told me I had to apply to lock in this rate today. Of course, everytime I called back up to the leasing office a new temp worker answered the phone, and knew nothing of what was going on. Now they are changing their mind on the move in specials? This is the most unprofessional experience Ive ever witnessed. All of the previous comments are TRUE. I usually give places the benefit of the doubt, but this is the worse. I can only imagine how miserable the current tenants are with managements stark unprofessionalism. This had been a wate of o e month out of my life and I may have actually found a place to move into during that time. Now I have no where to go, and will not accept a $125 rate increase after Ive been the one inconvenienced. Not to mention every time I asked to see the pool and/ or gym I was put off....o yea and the golf cart broke down while they tried to show me another unit. Overall TRASH!!! Save yourself the stress and just understand you will be screwed by them.
Perfect hidden gem right off the interstate. Affordable rent! Safe Neighborhood! Easy access to Downtown Nashville
The ladies in the office are very kind and helpful. Teresa was especially helpful.
The staff member I worked with was very rude and lazy. At other places people are much friendlier and they follow up with renters. I had to follow up over and over to check in about rentals in our time frame even though they said if we submitted an application they would follow up with us. I felt like I was doing Jennifers job for her quite frankly and I was always met with rude responses. They sent an agreement to move into an apartment even though we still hadnt seen anything they only showed us a model for champion and they sent us a lease for British oaks. I wont stay somewhere I havent seen... Which apparently is a lot to ask here. The model is much more updated than the actual units they definitely show people something different than what theyre actually getting. I think this is why they avoid showing people the actual units. At one point Jennifer responded it was hard to work with us because we wanted to see units whereas others simply apply online without ever seeing anything.... So sorry you have to do your job Jennifer it must be really hard. My partner really liked the community so I continued following up even though I wanted to go with gazebo. Much better staff - friendly and competent. Theyre near Hawthorne and Im ready to jump ship and go with them at this point.
6 minutes agoI wont lie cause Im a very honest person.. when I first moved in.. I had problems however with the help of the staff and their caring demeanors, over time every issue has been resolved. It is a nice community to live in & very quiet.
I have lived at the community for over two years, so I am familiar with the previous management and the new management. The changes in two years are night and day. I transferred in the middle of my lease this winter to an upgraded apartment and it is beautiful. I cannot believe these other reviews because my move out / move in process was simple and was explained to me about any kind of charges I would be responsible for. Obviously the negative reviewers damaged their apartments or broke the rules and they are sour because they had to pay up. I LOVE IT HERE! They have so many fun events with DJs food and wine. My 70 lb Lab was no issue also and she loves the dog parks and we are getting a dog wash this month too I hear. I do not plan on leaving until I buy a house. Keep it up, Hawthorne! :)
We moved into this complex just as the new management had come in in 2015. We have now been here for a little over a year with a newly renewed lease and love it here! We plan to continue living here for as long as we live in Nashville! The improvements that the new management have made have really made this a nice place to live (such as the renovated clubhouse, the multiple new grills and the firepit, the improved dog parks, etc.). We also really enjoy the community events that they have organized, which have always involved free food and drinks. Both the office staff and the maintenance crew have been incredibly friendly and efficient. Every issue that we have had in the apartment has been dealt with quickly after filing a request. We havent had any issues with them at all, everything from a broken AC, to a runny toilet, to wasps on our deck - its all been taken care of.The size of the apartments are also excellent for the price; our one bedroom apartment is around the same size as some of the two bedrooms we looked at elsewhere (which is great for our puppy, who needs room to run around and play). Every guest we have over to our apartment is surprised by how large it is for a one-bedroom. For the location, size, and the improvements that have been made in the complex, we are very happy with the price!
RENTER BEWARE!Think again before moving here. When I moved out, the apartment complex called me a few days later saying that I owed them $1,000 for the carpet to be replaced and that payment was due in 3 days. They were able to work with us and we got them to allow us to pay the fine over time, but this was done purely out of them cutting renovation costs. I know of two other tenants they tried to pull this crap on.
Me and my daughter hace been living here for a while now and been having complications, but Thomasa and Michael have cleared everything for us and is getting the job done!! Thank you!!
They are very nice. But, absolutely will not show you anything but model apartment. So, you must commit by applying and paying all fees. Then, maybe you can see the place before you sign the lease.
Let me begin by saying when we first moved here in 2013, I was pleased with the way management went, I was pleased with our town home, and overall the community. Now let me fast forward to lets say from late 2016-2018!!No parking spaces, noisy college neighbors, broken gates every week, reappearing mold in both bathrooms, leaking ceiling, dog poop from folks not cleaning up after their pets, some buildings received new windows while others still suffer with older windows(because they ran out of project money from lots of projects going on at once), rude office staff, trash valet that dont pick up like they are supposed to according to your lease, OVERLY priced rental increase every year, $3.00 a month pest fee(not once have I seen an exterminator or a note stating they came by), dishwasher that backs up with smelly water(regardless if used or not), spider infestation, poor maintenance, old carpet, trash piled up around the one trash compactor for the WHOLE facility, the office finally calling us back about maintenance issues that we reported in Sept. 2017(now Jan 2018), the outlandish move out fees that have been created(since we have given our 60 day notice), and Im sure there is more I can write that most of my fellow tenants would agree with.I used to love coming home to this place but I HATE this place now!!!! To each his own.........rent here at your own risk (your experience may be different) or just pay a little extra and rent from their old sister complex Gazebo!
These apartments arent as bad as everyone makes them out to be, though I do believe they overcharge for some damages, and some of the fees are outrageous. $600 for a two dog pet fee? Luckily I had the fee under the previous management. However, the quality of everything is excellent here and aside from the maintenance from time to time being understaffed, the staff is fairly quick to respond.
The service this not good I don’t have hot water called the office 5 times the says am working on it the service man called me told me hot water is not emergency they keep changing everything how u gonna stay home with no hot water
UPDATE:This property gets 1 star because the staff is absolutely terrible here. We were not allowed to see our apartment before signing the lease because residents were still in it. When we moved in we realized that our neighbors are smokers and their cigarette smoke gets into our apartment through the AC system. No one disclosed to this before we moved and we have now spent a total of 6 months trying to fix the problem. For about 4 months, I was ignored and had to follow up several times to get them to do something about the issue. They finally started throwing band aids at the issue even though I kept telling them our neighbors smoke is getting through the vents. I have asthma and I could technically sue them for failing to address my health issues. They also never give more than 24 hour notice for updates to the community. For example, I received an email about a new washer/dryer to my apartment and just two hours later maintenance was in my apartment (I was getting out of the shower). This is illegal in TN. You need a residents permission to enter their dwelling. I was away at a work conference when they decided to repave the parking lot. Again, less than 24 hours notice and I couldnt do anything to move my car because I was in WY. If you value customer service and responsive to tenant issues - stay away! The plus - cute community and large apartments. They keep increasing the prices so its no longer a great value but it was just a year ago.Update:We continued working with Hawthorne because they have the ability to break a lease pretty flexibly and were looking to own a home in the next year. I now know that this is because theyre a terrible community with horrible management. As I mentioned in my earlier review, Jennifer took forever to respond. On several occasions it took her over a week to respond to inquiries and only after I followed up at least twice. I started working with someone else after I showed up in person to finalize everything I cant remember her name. This woman told me she would get back to me the latest on Monday. I didnt hear from her and had to follow up. I was speaking at a conference in CO so I had my partner email them asking for the welcome letter and lease to finalize our apartment beyond email confirmation. A week passed and I realized they switched management companies and updated website and contact info. They were Hawthorne South Oaks when we last spoke then all of a sudden they switched to ARIUM without telling us. So I realized perhaps they didnt receive his emails in the switch. I emailed both the new and old contact info to be safe and heard nothing back. So I decided to call 5 business days later and was told they would call back the same day. Nothing. I called again the next day and it went to voicemail. I left the voicemail friday at 5:40 pm and they are open on Saturdays. So again, nothing. Im incredibly disturbed that they didnt tell us management was changing. I dont know if this effects prices as I have seen prices go up on the new website and if this effects our apartment we planned on renting. The complete lack of communication, customer service, and competence is very telling and at this point its coming from two staff members so I believe its not just Jennifer. This community is a lower cost for a reason. DONT RENT HERE!! Go to Gazebo - right across the street and wayyy better staff. Unfortunately, we missed out on the apartment we wanted with Gazebo while we waited around for hawthorne (ARIUM now) to get their act together.
I would never suggest anyone live here. The rent isn’t an issue, it’s management. Back gate is always open or broken, in the apt where I stayed the oven didn’t function properly, so I called maintenance and they came over rather promptly with a small handheld device and said it was working fine. I couldn’t even boil water! The oven would always burn and undercook whatever you put in there. To top it off, I had two other roommates with me and both of them skipped out, well our lease was until July 20 and they expect me to pay until August 20. Do not move in here it’s a scam.
My friends and I have had the absolute worst experience here. When we first moved in, we arrived to the apartment complex office and the management team said, “Oh we didn’t know your move in day was today.” LOL okay. That was just the beginning of a year’s worth of terrible service. We’ve had bug issues, our sink pipes burst, and our electric has not worked solid AT ALL. Our electric was over $300 multiple times all because their units are out of date. We didn’t have air for a week when it was below 17 degrees and we didn’t have air when it was 90 degrees. It takes weeks for maintenance to fix anything unless you call Jordan. We signed a lease for 12 months and are literally counting the days until we can move to the Gazebo Apartments across the street.
I don’t typically write negative reviews like this but my experience with Arium South Oaks has been awful so far.First of all on my move-in day, the employee who was supposed to be at the office at 9am apparently overslept and didn’t get to the office until around 10:15am so I was late in getting my keys and in moving in. It was especially irritating seeing her walk in over an hour late with Starbucks in hand when my whole day’s schedule was messed up because of her.Upon moving into the new apartment, my roommates and I found out we in fact do NOT have a garage like we were told we would. Because there were still residents living in the apartment at the time of us applying, we weren’t able to actually see the place until we moved in. So basically we trusted what the staff told us and showed us in the floor plan. Definitely false advertising about the garage. Also in the 6 weeks that we have been living here, our AC unit has broken THREE TIMES. And even worse it took about 10 days each time for anyone to do anything about it. This is totally unacceptable especially in the hot Nashville summer. And finally we were mislead about the dimensions of the small area to put the washer and dryer. I lived in a different apartment at Arium South Oaks the previous year when it was known as Hawthorne South Oaks and I had bought a washer and dryer that fit perfectly in my apartment. The leasing office assured me that all of the apartments have the same dimensions for the little cove area for the washer and dryer. Unfortunately this was totally untrue and my dryer does NOT fit in the space I was told it would fit in. So now the dryer is sitting in the middle of the kitchen and is totally in the way. With all of the issues my roommates and I have dealt with in this short amount of time, no one at Arium South Oaks seems to care or want to try and make things right. Do yourself a favor and avoid Arium South Oaks. I have about 11 months left on my lease and then I am GONE.
I live here currently and I would not recommend it to anyone just because of the management and maintenance alone. You put in maintenance requests and then they put work completed when they haven’t even come to your apartment. I have tons of ants in my apartment and have had for months and pest control still hasn’t come out. I call the office and leave messages about things and no one calls me back. I email management about things and no one emails back. My card only works half the time when I try to swipe in and use the gym or pool or business center. It’s truly ridiculous. It’s a nice complex from the outside, but they need to step up their management and maintenance.
Only been living here a short time. Staff is very friendly and always have nice spirits.
Coming back to change my review from 5 to 2. The 5 was when Hawthorne managed the place. Arium manages now and gets a solid 2. Their communication is very poor. Every “community event” they email us about never tells a location, so I don’t bother trying to ever go. They’re currently sealing the parking lot and have 1/2 of the complex’s cars displaced and have sent another email tonight saying another 11 buildings to have cars towed in the morning if not moved by 6:15am, but haven’t painted lines or opened what is done yet.... 3/4 of the complex can’t fit in 1/4 of the parking spots. In my experience it’s been the constant signs like these that show a low level of management skills. The place would be great if they just put a little more thought into what they do.As far as my unit goes, it’s just ok. Nothing major wrong, but it appears they just take the lowest bidder when it comes to renovation work though. The brand new vinyl floors have bubbles in places, loose trim work on top of the new vinyl, etc... if you can avoid management, it’s not a bad place to live. Fairly priced compared to similar complexes in the area I’ve seen for now.
We had plumbing issues and we are going on the 4th day of not being able to shower or wash clothes because they will not send maintenance out to our apt!!!
This company is very unhelpful, slow to fix any problems (if ever), does not care about the convenience or comfort of residents (last minute notices such as needing to remove all pets from the apartment for hours at a time on a weekday only one day prior), and the amenities are often broken or closed. The pool itself was not open/broken until well into June. The light fixtures in the parking lots were broken for about 9 months (or longer because they pointed out to us that they were broken and were working on fixing them when we moved in). This was a huge safety issue. People have often been rowdy/loud in the pool areas or parking lots. One of the pools does not even require any special access. The gates are almost always broken. My card sometimes doesn’t work for the business center/mail room/fitness center. The fitness center machines are run down/broken. What I looked forward to about this complex has been disappointing. I really wanted to like living here, and at times I appreciate the spacious apartments, but the management/lack of working amenities really ruins the experience. There is just no care or respect for the residents from management. Everything seems to be swept under the rug, even though management says they will be looking into it. They hardly pick up the phone, and emails and work requests must be sent multiple times for any response. And things are often broken/need attention, so this is something that constantly must be dealt with. There is a lack of professionalism in the emails. I like my townhouse itself a lot, so 4 stars to that section, but management truly makes living here feel like a frustrating one-star experience.Update, 10 months later: We continue to experience major frustrations with this company. The pool has been closed without any notification from management on many weekends and weekdays so far this summer. Forget about using the fitness center or clubhouse. Or even picking up your packages with ease. The cards they give you don’t work, and we frequently have to have management come try to open the package room for us. The fitness center contains broken equipment, and again, your card access will work about half the time. Other resident children use it as a jungle gym. Don’t even think about trying to use the clubhouse. They keep it locked and won’t allow it to open at all after 5/6pm or Sunday’s. So if you’re a working professional, don’t count on being able to use it. Instead of installing cameras or rules, one resident damaging it has caused them to close the whole thing down to residents (again without notice). The printer doesn’t even work in there anyways, and the TV works half the time. The tennis courts are used as soccer fields. The management answers about 1/10 emails and forget about trying to call the office. They are there, but refuse to pick up the phone. Putting in work requests leads to them being marked complete without them actually fixing the issue; prepare to call multiple times to get it fixed. Daveeta, one of the workers here, is especially useless. She likes to pass the buck, but no one ever gets back to you. Many of the residents here are hooligans, which has led to the decline of this complex. Nothing has changed with new management and a new company. Again, our townhome is nice, and we stayed due to logistics, but man, do not expect anything more from living here. Prepare for major frustrations and disappointments if you sign a lease here.
I have lived here for 10 months. The apartment WAS great it was clean when I moved in. The staff seemed so nice. But after I became a tenant everything with the management staff changed. They do not answer their phones, they do not or rarely answer emails, their maintenance guy is a joke. So my rent includes a few things including pest control. Three dollars is added to my rent every month. Well the pest control guy came first month I moved in, actually the first day. And then one more time after that. He left some glue traps and I noticed they were full of spiders. I’ve been waiting and wondering why they haven’t come back. So I went to the office the other day and asked her why the pest control guy had not been coming. The assistant manager, Sarah, specifically told me that I had to REQUEST IT. I told her in no uncertain terms that I wanted to pest-control guy at my apartment every month. I reminded her that I pay for the service every single month, therefore I want the service. So they sent the pest-control guy out and lo and behold, I have brown recluse spiders and apparently more than one. So I ask to get a copy of my lease and guess what? The lease specifically says the pest control company will bill the apartment complex and the apartment complex will be on me. So what does that say? That means that they have been stealing not just my money but all of the tenants money. This is the same as an employer charging you for health insurance but not paying the premium so therefore you don’t have health insurance. In other words it’s called FRAUD! If you’re looking for an apartment go somewhere else.UPDATE: I see that a “regional manager” named Zack Baranick answered my review (below). Well notice below that....a review from none other than Zack Baranick PRETENDING TO BE A TENANT AND WRITING A RAVE REVIEW! When you click on his name, it shows several other reviews FROM HIM reviewing all of the Hawthorne properties!!! WOW!! LIARS, THIEVES, and FRAUDS!
Lets see, where to begin. Right now we have been waiting for a least two weeks for literally five different maintenance issues. The people in the office are nice, but this is not cutting it thus far.
While this place may be very affordable, there have been several instances that have pushed my roommates and I to not want to renew our lease. First let me begin with the security issues. It seems as if every other week, the back gate right next to my apartment is left wide open. It normally stays open for a couple of weeks before someone comes out to fix it. Secondly, our apartment has had a severe bug issue since our move in. We have submitted three separate maintenance requests regarding the roach infestation in and around our kitchen. They have gone as far to have found a way into the fridge where they end out dying and collecting around our food. We do keep our apartment and kitchen clean to try to prevent pests but this is out of our control. Every time we have submitted a request to get this taken care of, they end up just marking it as completed when it clearly hasnt. For the most part, the staff is always friendly and I appreciate that, but it seems as if they are just trained to keep a good face and ignore things that matter.
This is the worst place i have ever lived in. I have put up with them for two years and they treaed me as trash. The management dont care about their renters. My apartment window would not open, the A/C is SUPER LOUD, you can hear everything when your neighbors are talking, the dishwasher is super cheap and dont clean the dishes good, cockroaches come into the apartment via dishwasher pipes and bathtub drain. I did put in maintenance request more than 5 time but they never fixed the windows. They are also overcharging everything. They ask $400 for pet fee, automatically charge you for trash and sometimes they wont pick your trash up. The front door wont open all the way because they installed fake blinds that blocks the door from opening. All they do is try and make money out of people. MOVE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!
If I could give less than one star I would. The management is awful. Aside from being completely rude, they pile on hidden fees and change policies with out notice expecting you to just pay for anything theyve changed. The gates dont work. I complained numerous times about creatures, Im assuming rodents, living in the walls yet nothing got done. We asked for maintenance to take care of a serious mold infestation in the bathroom. Once again they didnt rectify the problem, but instead said it was discoloration and said to keep our bathroom door open. Probably the worst experience was being spied on while we were moving out by the property manager, who conveniently moved in across from us after we had argued previously about another one of their policy changes. He has the absolute worst people skills and should not be in a position of authority. The second worst experience was being charged for nonexistent move out fees after being cleared for damages by the head of maintenance. Over all the apartment wasnt completely terrible, but you get what you pay for and I wouldnt pay their new seriously over priced rates. The best advice I can give is DO NOT MOVE HERE unless youre ok with being robbed by crappy management.
It has been like pulling teeth trying to get someone to call me back about a missing $160 package that was delivered to the front office and then went missing. It leads me to believe something criminal has happened with it in-house and the staff does not want to admit or do anything about it.I have done everything they have told me to do and EVERY single time I end up having to call them back instead of them calling me like they promise. I have tried everything to keep this between our two parties but they have forced me to take the next step and get the police involved. The package was full of almost all of my Christmas presents I was giving this year and I cant afford to buy new ones :( I am hoping the police will be able to at least provide me with some answers. Please dont get involved with this apartment complex, I cant say with 100% knowledge that they are criminals but I can say that in my experience they will ignore you if something criminal happens to you or your belongings while on their property :(
Was lied to about apartment before we moved in. Then was lied to about upgrades . The apartments are equivalent to a hotel with poor service... over priced .. neighbor above us has been throwing cat poop and litter in bag from their balcony, and have gone to management several times in two months, still hasnt been cleaned up. Maintenance crew doesnt fix problems for weeks... I could go on ... its a shame to pay this amount of money and its totally not worth it.... looking forward to spend the money to move out of here.... have only been here 4 months
Whatever you do, do NOT move into these apartments. New management took over in early 2015 and they are even worse than the previous management. They like to add false damages to your move out statement and try to sneak bogus charges past you. This is a group of crooks. Save yourself the frustration and money... Choose somewhere else to live!
I live her for the last 4 years and my experience has been aweful. The ONLY staff member that was nice was Sarah, other than that is been trash. The Maintenace is horrible the two apts I lived are trash for the money I pay $1900 a month for an apt that in my opinion it worth at least $1000 a month. It’s been a rip off since day one. I have spiders 🕷 all over the house everyday. I pay for trash service and I have to throw it my self UGH!!! I’m done here thanks God I’m moving out of this hell!!!! I would say more but is not worth it!I’m a angry tenant!!!!!
Not a good place if u want your car tires stolen or your car window broken . This place has a problem with security and office doesn’t do nothing about it .
Ive been here 4 years and its getting worse by the year. These negative reviews are ALL 100% legit!!! The community as a whole is very quiet and safe. The fees, maintenance, trash, structural, and bug complaints are very, very valid. My wife and I called maintenance about our two bathrooms on June 9th and I promise they didnt show up until September 23rd!! How do you skip the entire summer???? One of our bathtubs needs to have the water turned on with pliers because the handle is broken and after 3 visits they still cant seem to fix it. The other bathroom has a leak so bad that the plaster bubbled and peeled away from the ceiling and now there is mold and a crack right in the middle of the ceiling (which I have pictures of). This same bathroom previously had maintenance onsite because we (STILL) cannot take showers, just baths. He said he was going to go to lunch because he needed to pick up some hardware and we havent seen him since. Oh, and dont let me forget the 2-3 brown recluse spiders Im killing every week. They try to justify rent increases by repainting the parking lot, adding outdoor grills, and putting up gates to an already crime free facility just for appeal. But if Im going to pay a rent increase Id rather it be because they are upgrading my apartment, not just the grounds. Like I said, the area is great but these apartments are waaaaay overpriced for what youre getting. Ill be talking to their headquarters soon.
The worst complex ever I did the biggest mistake ever I moved here horrible customer service every two month change management in here lying about contracts and trying to rip you off in the end of the contract I wish I can head here are some pictures just to show you guys how the apartment looks like
Its very good place to live in and very friendly people are working there
Absolutely awful!!! I only had a 5 month lease and decided not to even stay that long. The management routinely decided to not uphold previously agreed to terms. They attempted to rewrite my lease on several occasions. They added fees, prolonged the agreement, and inflated charges. The thing that finally caused me to pay the remainder of my lease and vacate the premises is the fact that on a nearly weekly basis I had people walk into my house without knocking or ringing the doorbell. They were always there to check some innocuous aspect such as the fireplace, the HVAC, smoke alarms, etc. Also, the charges for water and trash added almost another $100 per month to my costs. That is absolute freaking robbery. Ive been gone 3 months now, despite doing a walkthrough with management and them agreeing there were zero damages I still havent received my security deposit back. When I moved out they charged me an extra $240 for pet fees that I didnt have. They said they didnt need proof of me having another pet. Ridiculous! Im just so happy to be gone. DO NOT MOVE THERE!!!!!!
Nice amenities. Good location, great staff.
Worst run and managed apartments I have ever seen! Hides fees no parking change rates every 6 months. They are not quick to fix anything! Gates are stuck open or shut most of the time! Just a bad place for the price!
I would not recommend. Ill summarize here and list the specifics in detail below: noise problems, water issues, bug infestation, and staff incompetencies.I have held a year long lease and live toward the front of the property (near the leasing office). For whatever reason, it seems like these buildings have significant problems. The water for our building and the surrounding buildings gets turned off multiple times per month during the day, with little to no notice. In addition, each unit comes equipped with a lovely little feature called water hammer. Whenever you run the sink, take a shower, or flush the toilet, you get to enjoy a loud, rhythmic thunking sound in your utilities closet. And you get to hear this through the wall when your neighbor runs the sink, takes a shower, or flushes the toilet. I asked the head of maintenance about this when we moved in and he confirmed that it was a side affect of older buildings and all the units had it. What a joy.Its also important to note that our unit has been infested with flies since we moved in. These are not small fruit flies, but big fat things that we found EVERYWHERE. I first noticed them in my bathroom and closet when I was moving in, and I can assure you that there is and has never been food in those areas. They were also in our bedrooms, livingroom, and kitchen (they even made it into the refrigerator in large quantities where they promptly died and littered the shelves with their bodies). Before you think me overdramatic, please try to imagine going to sleep and waking up with multiple flies buzzing around your head. This truly is an infestation. We confirmed with neighbors and even a part time staff member that it was a problem for multiple units, yet nothing could be done. My roommate and I looked up every remedy we could find and still could not get rid of them. The staff was told multiple times, but nothing came of their efforts and the exterminator they sent out was useless. I can only theorize that this has something to do with the constant water/sewer problems happening in the front buildings, since we even see these bugs outside around our windows and door frames. Needless to say, Im sure these flies will remain in the unit long after we leave.I mentioned earlier that I could hear my neighbors water use. I could also hear their conversations, washer and dryer, garbage disposal, bathroom activities, and generally any time they moved at all. Im sure that they could hear us too, which really isnt fun to think about. The staff has been disappointing from the beginning. On your tour, be prepared to see beautiful model units that are not at all representative of the actual unit you will be living in. They wont show you an empty unit, just the models. Our particular staff member promised us a limited time, special rate and then had us sign a contract that did not include the rate we were quoted. I pointed this out before signing and was told it would be added on at the end. We ended up having to draw up new contracts five days later because those things are never added on at the end. Weve also had to ask multiple times for our pro-rated rent just so that we can know the amount and pay on time prior to moving out. Each time we asked, we got a dodgy answer saying someone would get back with us soon. These experiences, along with a several others, definitely made me distrust the staff. Please do yourself the favor and consider these things before you move in. You could very well end up living in my unit, and I wouldnt wish that on anyone.
