Claudia Stetter provided professional and friendly service and answered all my questions. The property is in a perfect location for my personal and business needs. I highly recommend checking out The Shay and ask for Claudia! Her manager, Mandy Nelson, offered great leadership and assisted the process. Cant wait for Move-In Day!
People of Nashville and those moving here, do not consider The Shay as a place to live. The safety and security of this building are significantly lacking. After several complaints made over the last almost 2 years only empty promises have been made and it’s gotten to the point where a lady was attacked and robbed in our parking garage. I, along with others are trying to get out of our lease as this is no longer a safe place to live and management has shown little to know effort to make this a safer place to live.
Due to recent security issues, I feel extremely unsafe living at The Shay. My roommate was parking in the garage after coming home from work and experienced an armed robbery in which they assaulted her and took her car and all of her belongings. This was not the first dangerous incident to take place in the parking garage and management has done nothing to increase security in the building or garage. With the amount we pay monthly in rent, there should be a guard on the premesis at all times and someone who can be reached immediately if residents feel unsafe. In addition, there are no cameras in the garage. The management company clearly values money over safety of its residents. When I signed my lease at the Shay, I was told it was a safe community with security who patrolled the premesis. Unfortunately that is no longer the case and for that reason I would not recommend The Shay to anyone looking for a place to live in Nashville. It genuinely scares me to think of what events will have to take place in order for the security of residents to be taken seriously and a security company to be hired to be on the premises at all times.
Love living at the Shay! The staff and property manager are phenomenal. The building is well maintained and super clean. It sits on a beautiful campus with lots of walking areas that are well lit and secure at night. Multiple options for dogs to enjoy on property. The pool is a lot of fun in the summer, a great place to move in and meet people. Definitely worth it!
My son just moved here. He gave me a tour. So modern. It has everything you could want. Close enough to Downtown to be convenient and just far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. Beautiful facility. Everyone is so friendly.
I lived at The Shay on a 13-month lease and recently moved out of state. Overall our experience was positive. The good:- Location. Very centrally located to downtown, Vanderbilt, the interstate, and public transit. Grocery stores other than Kroger are a bit further away but in general its 20 mins or less to everything you would need.- Very safe neighborhood. One of the safest areas in the Midtown area, which is impressive considering its proximity to some more underserved neighborhoods. There were some car break-ins in the garage, but I believe those were due to residents not locking their cars. Easy target, so beware and make sure to lock. There were one or two incidences of mentally unstable people hanging around, but they were dealt with.- Dog park and walking loop. Dog park is well-maintained and frequented by regulars. The walking loop was a godsend during lockdown. Theres also a very small park nearby good for hanging out or playing catch on nice days.- Amenities.Gym was always clean and anything broken was fixed quickly. The pool is less rowdy than other apartments that cater to a similar crowd, though I still wouldnt recommend a unit that faces the pool. Plenty of places inside and outside to chill. The mail room could get disorganized at times with packages but I never had a package disappear. Most went into the package locker.- Floor plan (1BD). Spacious and open with a very nice bathroom. Some not so great things are that storage space outside of the kitchen is very limited. The cabinets are made for very tall people. Lots of variety in lighting choices.- 2 free parking spots. View of the skyline from the top of the garage.- Front desk staff. They were always friendly and receptive of our issues. There seems to be high turnover, but even then everyone new is nice and helpful.- Google Fiber.- Rarely saw a bug that wasnt an ant.The kind of annoying:- Irresponsible dog owners. There is usually a fair amount of poop in the grass around the property with recurring offenders. The complex has gardeners that pick it up maybe twice a week (not sure) but I had to constantly watch my step in the grass. Lots of puppy owners so plenty of pee and poop stains in the hallway carpets. Folks would repeatedly walk their dogs off-leash with varying level of command over their dog.- Rectangular sink. Bits of food dont drain down with the flow of water so they have to be hosed down the drain.- Ants. We lived in a second floor apartment and had some ant battles. Luckily their entrance was easily spotted and taken care of with diatomaceous earth.- People drive around the garage as if theyre the only people who could ever be in there at any time. Take it really slow around the corners. The bad:- Apartment noise. The floors are fairly thin. The people above us at first only made normal noise, but the guy who moved in the last few months of our lease was god awful. He walked with his heels which is very loud in all of the hardwood areas. Not sure if he was a gamer or what but every day multiple times a day in peak working hours (I worked from home) he would stomp on the floor and yell expletives loud enough for people on my work calls to hear. It took more than a handful of complaints to management for him to finally slow down his antics. We only had one neighbor to our side who we never heard, but in other peoples apartments we heard people through the wall. If noise is an issue for you, roll the dice that you have a small woman as your upstairs neighbor or stay away.- Construction. We had a unit at the very front of the building. About 10 feet across the street, ground was broken on a new building last spring. What ensued was terribly loud construction noise from literally 6:30am to 4pm. They jackhammered using excavators into the cliff next to the building which is ridiculously loud and obnoxious.
This June will mark my second year living at The Shay. This place is amazing. The facility is off the charts top notch, from the grounds to the gym to the pool to second floor and common areas it’s got it got it all. I spent 2 years checking out each and every apartment complex in the city and every time all roads brought me back to The Shay. The level of customer service from each and every staff member rivals Zappos. Last but not least the community is awesome. I highly recommend it to anyone considering living here.
I’ve really enjoyed living at the Shay, and have since extended my lease for another 12 months. During the pandemic, everything had some sort of uncertainty attached to it, but the staff did a great job of keeping all the tenants informed and assured. The amenities are fantastic, the management staff is always on top of getting items taken care of.I love the location, and love being tucked away in a development but still being close to everything Nashville has to offer.
Mandy and the rest of The Shay staff are incredible and always around to answer any questions you may have! The whole property is super well designed and thought out, with tons of little nooks and crannies to hang out in if youre tired of being in your (gorgeous) apartment. I particularly like the fact that they can open up huge walls of windows to get fresh air in the lobby and the whole grounds is so beautiful and peaceful, especially this time of year. You really cant go wrong if you decide to lease here!
I downsized from a house to apartment living after 10 years. I was apprehensive however I have been watching the progress of One City since it broke ground. The concept of a community that focused on lifestyle that incorporates both wellness and sustainability was important for me. Moving here from the west coast, I have been waiting for some place like this to come along. The Shay and One City has exceeded my expectations. (Recycling is offered here!!)My experience w/ Mandy (Property Manager) and Robbie has been very pleasant, thoughtful and welcoming. I feel well cared for and I appreciate the quick responses to my questions and needs. The community of people living at The Shay are welcoming and helpful, as well. Love the amenities! the choice of materials and appliances used from the ceramic stove top (which I thought I was going to dislike and absolutely LOVE) to the granite counter tops, pretty and plenty of cabinet space! The kitchen accommodated all my cooking supplies, and the tub is a winner!Plus, the grounds are some of the most beautiful in Nashville, that Ive seen. Its nice to have The Element on the campus so friends and family can stay within walking distance when visiting, if they want to have their own space. Not to mention Avo, Pastaria and Sump Coffee, favorites long before I moved in.Im very happy with my choice here. The Shay @ One City really aligns with my values!
I recently toured The Shay and was very impressed by their amenities and overall awesome vibes! From the two story gym to the outdoor space overlooking the pond, it was one thing after another and just kept coming! Not to mention its right down the street from LnL Market which is a favorite go to of mine. Hands down moving in later this summer when my lease is up!
I have been at The Shay now for about 4 months and I wouldnt live anywhere else in Nashville. The community is so friendly, my apartment is stunning, and management/ maintenance did anything and everything to make sure things were to my liking upon moving in. I am very picky and definitely exhausted all my resources when it came to looking for an apartment. I actually toured over 7 properties here in Nashville. The Shay and the property manager was so nice about it. He was very understanding of my concerns about sun light because my pervious apartment was very dark. He went the extra mile and asked if I wanted to view the apartment early in the morning/ in the evening to see how much light it would get. These small attention to detail moments had me very pleased and I could not see myself living anywhere else in Nashville. 10 out of 10 property! Thank you Shay for making Nashville feel like home.
Super friendly and helpful team. Ben helped me find the best floor plan for my needs. Cant wait to move in.
I really enjoy living at The Shay. I love my apartment and the team that makes this community safe, clean and up to date! They are always prompt to help when necessary and the beautiful scenery surrounding The Shay is very relaxing and rare to find in a city. I am very happy I made the decision to move here!
***UPDATE*** After a year and a half, I can no longer recommend The Shay. Over the last few months the security has had some major issues. In July, at least five cars had their windows smashed in and belongings stolen. In late September, a woman was assaulted in the parking garage and her car stolen. Additionally, there have been sporadic break ins, and continual issues with security in the parking garage. I am updating my review, because the amenities of the building are negated when you dont feel safe parking. Until this issue is resolved, I will not be updating my review of The Shay. I am hoping this gets Carter Hastons attention, because endless resident complaints dont seem to be.I looked through several apartments, before finding the Shay, and I am so thankful. We have had a wonderful experience the last 4 months, since we moved in. We live on the top floor, so noise problems have not been an issue. We have a dog, and the green space on the property is absolutely the best. I love being somewhat secluded in OneCity while still close to downtown. The staff are friendly and on top of service requests/ problems around the building. I would highly recommend.
A very pleasant experience from touring to moving in! Benjamin and Jentzen were particularly helpful - answering all questions and providing a high level of customer service.
I love The Shay. As a young adult I have moved every year to a new apartment complex and seen a lot. However, I am certain I will be here at The Shay for a much longer time. I dont see myself living anywhere else for the next couple years and have had the best experience here. The staff is always great and responsive. I always feel safe and they keep the complex very clean.
I moved to Nashville almost a year ago. I lived somewhere else before The Shay and recently moved to the Shay 3 months ago. It has been the best decision of my Nashville experience so far. The location is great. The atmosphere at The Shay is so welcoming and enjoyable. Pet friendly. The Staff goes above and beyond to make sure all residents are happy. They are always personable and genuine with their interaction and want to make sure you are getting the best experience where you live. The apartment complex is always clean. I do not see myself leaving The Shay anytime soon. The environment and staff make living here so enjoyable. HIGHLY recommend.
Ive lived at The Shay a little over a six months and it has been a phenomenal experience. The staff is top notch and extremely professional. My personal leasing agent Darby has been so helpful and kind and made the move to Nashville a much more pleasurable experience. Im very pleased with the amenities and the buildings security is excellent. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to relocate to a new apartment. I am very happy with my new home!
When I was first searching for a home in Nashville, I thought I wanted a high-rise downtown. After each one I visited with my agent, I told her what I liked and didnt like. Based on my feedback, she said, You know, it wasnt on my list for you because its not downtown, but I think you would really love The Shay.As we pulled up under the beautiful awning, I could already tell what a peaceful, classy place this was. After years in California, I am drawn to clean lines, open airy spaces, and warm neutrals. The Shay is all of those things!Chase is the one who gave me the tour and showed me this special apartment I now get to call home. It has a beautiful view of downtown, an easy 2-mile straight-shot down Charlotte. Since moving in, Ive been so happy with the location: in a sweet neighborhood with Pastaria, Sump Coffee, volleyball courts, and more; and also close to major freeways.I love the staff; they are all warm and hospitable, and each person is unique and genuinely themselves while being professional and hard-working to support their residents. The only issue Ive had is a sulfur smell from the faucets that we mostly resolved but couldnt completely take away, and sometimes the hallways dont smell as inviting as the downstairs lobby. Other than those small smell matters, everything really is perfect here. The maintenance manager is wonderful too.Ive been here for 9 months so far, and Im thankful to call this my home!
Throw away acct for obvious reasons. I live here./// Pros: Staff is great. Lobby and amenities are top notch. Ceilings are high. A/C unit is quiet./// Cons: Floors are thin (yes walking around is enough to disturb the below neighbors. and it sounds like the person above me stomps 24/7). Dishwasher is literally cheapest they could have bought and it’s loud as hell. Sink is a box, all right-angles, meaning water debris doesn’t funnel down the drain, gotta push that stuff in by hand every time. Hardly anyone uses the mandatory trash service, it’s a waste of money./// Side note – all ceiling lighting is fixed, recessed, LED panel lighting, not bulbs. So, you can’t make your apartment a smart-light apartment unless you go 100% lamps.Wasnt worth the price Im paying. They have since lowered prices just a little..
Lindsey the property manager is wonderful. She is the best property manager I’ve ever had. In fact, I’ve lived in two buildings she’s managed. The Shay is gorgeous and you can tell the entire leasing staff really cares about the residents. They offer resident events often and it is a pleasure to live here!
The individual that stated “everything that shines isn’t gold” is correct, but you won’t find that out until living here. The grounds are beautiful and there is an incredible pool and gym, but the rest...disappointing. Residents are required to pay for the Parcel Pending service, but packages are usually left out overflowing the mail room. The pool is an absolute zoo on the weekends due to residents disregarding the two guest rule and throwing pool parties. Trash and cans are always scattered around the pool following said parties. People are awfully loud and don’t show much regard for other residents in the community, but the walls and ceilings are also paper thin. The stairwells have quite possibly never been cleaned; they are scattered with bugs, dust bunnies, spider webs, fur, and the occasional animal excretion that was never cleaned by the pet owner nor the custodial staff. There is designated guest parking, but your guests will never be able to park there because of the plethora of residents that feel entitled to use those parking spaces (despite the seven floors of resident garage parking.) Frequently, you will be informed that the following day there will be a “mandatory” maintenance entry into your apartment. If you were promised a fully stocked refrigerator of refreshments in the gym and a supply of workout towels, know those are nonexistent. On the plus side, maintenance requests are completed within a day and you’ll get to pet a lot of cute dogs. I’m not saying don’t live here. I’m just saying be aware of what you’re getting yourself into despite the perceived glowing image on the outside.
We first heard about the Shay in the winter of 2017/2018. The manager at our apartment building at the time told us about this new complex going in, and it sounded interesting, as we were looking to make move. After a tour of the still-under-construction building and grounds, we were sold. We’ve had an apartment at The Shay for almost a year now, and it has been everything we expected. We can’t say enough about the office staff. They are great - friendly, efficient, and reliable. The maintenance staff is also great - very responsive, always resolving issues quickly, and they always clean up after themselves (although we’ve only needed them a couple of times). The building and grounds are amazing, with a big dog park and great paths for walking (a priority for us). Awesome pool and fitness center, and bike storage.Great location, reasonably close to downtown (without being too close), and a 5-minute walk to Centennial Park (also great for walking the dog). We’re sold on The Shay, in case you hadn’t noticed. And our dog loves it too!
The Shay is a gorgeous complex in Nashville with great amenities and service. Ms. Darby welcomed me with a big smile and I instantly felt at home! The ambiance of the lobby is breathtaking and all the staff were professionally dressed and friendly. The pool is beautiful, too! Thank you Darby for making The Shay somewhere I would LOVE to live!
I absolutely LOVE living here! We have a wonderful warm and kind community where we have way too much fun together. The management and staff go above and beyond and accommodate in ways you can only dream of. The view is spectacular! I have always wanted a city view, but also wanted green space and here you get it all. I can’t wait for the fireworks!!!
I can’t say enough about The Shay!!! I just recently renewed my lease because I love this place and the staff so much! I have lived in apartments for sometime due to moving out of state and back. When I saw The Shay, I knew it was the place for me. The amenities that are here, the greenery and landscape. The love for animals and being pet friendly. I literally love coming home because this is not only just an an apartment, it’s a community and that all stems from the hard work the staff has done! I’ve never seen a staff that truly loves each and every one of their residents like have done to me and so many others that I’ve witnessed personally. There’s not one bad thing I can truly and honesty say about The Shay!! Who knows if I’ll ever leave :)
I came back to edit my review with information about The Shay because I am just so pleased with my experience here. Im approaching 4 months here and still have nothing but wonderful things to say about it.It is quiet, so beautiful, pet friendly (+ dog park!!), clean, and the residents are very friendly and welcoming. Ive lived in several apartment complexes and this is the first one where Ive actually felt part of a community.I am a HUGE plant person and finally have sufficient window space and lighting for my plants! The layouts are spacious, countertops are to die for, the circadian lighting is perfect for relaxing dinner gatherings, and the amenities are impressive (although, I still need to drag my butt to the gym and show up to one of the workout classes). The property manager, office, and maintenance staff are absolutely wonderful and always so helpful anytime Ive needed something.I cant say enough about how much I love this place. 10/10 would recommend. :)
Love the Shay! The location can’t be beat for the new construction, high-end apartments and walkable neighborhood, plus amazing amenities. And the staff is top notch and always willing to help no matter what might come up. I looked at SO many apartments in Nashville and the Shay is way above the rest!
I am disappointed in the way the leasing manager Lindsey has communicated with me. When I went to tour the apartment over a month ago, February 23rd to be exact, Lindsey told me I needed to apply ASAP and recommended within that weekend in order to get the two months free deal. I still get ads all over the internet and see they are still offering the two months free and it’s been over two months later. So I paid $350 (application and administrative fee) in a rush thinking I wouldn’t get the deal when I could have waited.Lindsey also missed three appointments that she scheduled with me. One was to meet in person to pay for my application, which is another reason I had to pay $350 up front because it would have been cheaper if I did it in person but she never showed up. Second, she never called me at the scheduled time until I sent a reminder since I had to step out of my office at work. Third, she wasn’t there the second time I went to tour the apartment that was on hold for me.I have called and sent an email that I would like to withdraw my application and no response. I expect to get $300 refunded (the $250 administrative fee and $50 for the additional guarantor fee that she never told me about.) Lindsey said I would only lose the $50 application fee for myself which I am fine with. They also rarely answer the phones, only if I call more than three times in the same day. I would appreciate an email back as well as my fees. It’s definitely not a good sign if I am already having communication issues with management since I haven’t even signed a lease or moved there yet....
The staff is very nice. Darby is so amazing! She was so patient with me and helped me with my documents and all the info I needed to get approved to move in. She worked with me and the rest of the staff was also super helpful. 10/10 would recommend.
THE SHAY APARTMENTS IS NASHVILLES TOP RESORT APARTMENTS. THE STAFF IS AWESOME. THEY TREAT YOU LIKE FAMILY. THE GROUNDS ARE BREATHE TAKING.
Stayed at the Shay with a friend last weekend, and was so impressed I had to review - a rare thing for me! Wonderful, helpful staff and first rate pool and work out room. Loved the floor plan and the pet-friendly environment.
The Shay is by far the most beautiful community I have ever lived in. Not only are the community and complex common areas designed well, but the apartments are built with a lot of thought and are very spacious. We moved to Nashville from Baltimore and the staff was incredibly helpful in the transition.
Heather, Darby, Lindsey and Josh are just superb and always super friendly.
The Shay! The Shay! The Shay! I would yell it from the roof tops if I could! I can not say enough great things about this apartment! Not only is it the best apartment you can find you will not find better staff than at The Shay! Lindsey the manager is the nicest, sweetest, and most amazing manager you can find! McKenzie, Kelsi, Caitlin, Chase, and all the other staff are one of a kind and seriously the best people! Do yourself a favor and come lease at the Shay! I have never seen a more beautiful apartment in all of Nashville! Best place to live! I love it so much!
I live here. I love it. Its brand new, the staff is awesome, and the pool is epic. MY apartment is great. I have read some of the other responses, including the one from the rather annoying and obviously dysfunctional pregnant couple that emailed everyone in the entire building their weird story. I assume this is the first time they have lived away from home. If you want a cool place to live this is it. I have already re upped my lease.
The Shay is a wonderful place to live in Nashville. Located between the West End and Sylvan Park, the new apartment building offers excellent amenities, an all-star staff that knows you by name, and is always on-hand ready to help with whatever we need!
I just took a tour of the Shay yesterday with Lindsey and was blown away. The building and amenities were top notch. As were the people.I love how pet friendly and open the community is and actually prefer it to more expensive properties like 505 and The Morris. If you’re looking to move to Nashville, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out to any of my friends.
They Shay is an absolutely stunning complex with all the amenities a person could want! The staff is superb!! They are super friendly and very helpful with all needs! This place is a 10 out of 10 and the absolute place to live in Nashville!!
I’ve been to many apartment buildings in Nashville, and this is by far one of the nicest places to live! The staff are very helpful and polite and the amenities are amazing!!! I love the beautiful view of nature and the area around the property.
The facilities of the Shay are top notch and unrivaled in Nashville. The staff goes above and beyond whenever I have a question. Its a great place to live.
Lindsey was always great to me super responsive and helpful so no complaints there. I thought she was quite great actually. As for the apartments themselves:The grounds and apartments are beautiful modern and plenty of storage space. I moved in within early construction and the place was quiet, new and lovely and we were thinking .. weve got it made this was the best choice! Very quickly it started to fill up and we realized we had made a mistake. If youre not on the top floor or have a courteous neighbor above you, expect to hear every single movement they make, the floors are THIN! As for below and even 2 floors above or below you can hear, tv, music, conversations, dogs, etc. All through the HVAC closet which its terribly insulated. As someone mentioned before the fire alarms would go off at 3am its was super startling you got to the point where you didnt bother getting up and going outside. The parcel package thing was really annoying. Your packages could be in many places near the front office, the mailroom, at your door, or delivered by mistake to someone elses. It was exhausting tracking down stuff and I had 2 packages go missing so I stopped having packages delivered there for my sanity. The parking situation is ridiculous, the guest parking on the main floor is for all the lazy residents who dont want to go up the ramp to their floors, so good luck with that. The whole design of the parking garage is just stupid, for many reasons. Just try going through the gate the same time someone else is or if a non resident gets stuck and cant get in the gate and youre behind them, that point is proven.Overall I realized The Shay wasnt for me, age wise it was a younger crowd, as Im in my 30s. I value a good night sleep, being courteous and considerate of others and Im just way too self aware. So it wasnt a good fit for me, I loved the location but Ive since moving out I love even more not being woken up by random noise (440 construction, police sirens, train going by, woo girls and bros drunk walking through the hallways or screaming outside, dogs barking all day).TL;DR : It wasnt right for me, for various reasons but that doesnt mean others experiences havent been great. However this was mine.
From the outside looking in, you’d think these apartments would be great to live in. Howvwe, I’ve learned the hard way never judge a book by its cover. I’ve lived in less expensive and way better maintained properties then this one, air filters never getting changed nor personal access to doing myself not even available. The staff in unprofessional and have a lack of communication skills. There are so many better housing options in Nashville- walk, actually run from this place. At least if you care about your air quality.
This is a stunning new luxury apartment! The staff is first rate as well as the design and amenities. Still under construction, but leasing now.
The Shay has been my favorite place to live in Nashville so far. I LOVE MY PEOPLE THERE!!! Lindsey the Manager is amazing, and will do anything for you to make sure you taken care of. The assistant manager Heather is an absolute doll and is so kind, friendly and will also take great care of you. The leasing agents Kelsi and Chase are some of nicest and sweetest people and will make sure you find the right apartment for you. The Shay is a GORGEOUS property and I am so glad I chose to lease here. Not only is it gorgeous, but the amenities you get here are incredible. They have weekly events for all the residents which are always fun to attend. You dont have to worry about hearing your neighbors, because the walls are thick and insulated. I came from a place where you could hear everything. DID I MENTION NO AIRBNBs!!! I am so glad that they dont allow this. The community has such great people living here and is in walking distance to the Sandbar, Pastaria, centennial park. I couldnt ask for a more beautiful and great place to live.
This is a great place! Friendly community and staff. Pet friendly! Highly recommended.
Wonderful place to live! Extremely nice staff, neighbors and the most dog friendly place I have lived in the Nashville Metro area!
Prior to moving into the Shay, I did read the google reviews, but I took it as just “a few bad experiences” and that it “wouldn’t happen to me”. Well, we live and we learn! I will not sit here and bash the complex bc it is very beautiful, that cannot be denied. The gym is top notch and the pool is a dream. However, as a 31 year old, it feels much like an expensive dorm room. Every guest I’ve had visit me in the one month I have been here has made the comment, “Are your upstairs neighbors always this loud”. The answer, “Yes”! I’ve now placed several noise complaints, but nothing has changed. My only suggestion to someone looking into moving here is... Everything that glitters isn’t gold & do not ignore the reviews.
Curious as to where all these 5 star people are living because it’s definitely not the shay. I have personally overheard the manager ask people to write a good review. So here’s an honest one.1) if you value a good night sleep... The fire alarm goes off maybe 3 times a week and it’s usually at 11 pm or 6 am. Sometimes 3 am. I don’t even go outside anymore, I just roll over in bed and silently regret my lease. Moving in was a nightmare - don’t even get me started.2) The transition train that “doesn’t go over 10 mph or blows its horn is bunch of bullllllshit”. That train either screeches like nails on a chalkboard or blows its horn.3) The Air Quality is horrible and everyone in The Shay gets allergies/sick. It’s not the city. It’s the Air quality. They never change the filters.4) you pay for pest control but there are always bugs in ur apartment :))))5) forget the walls being soundproof. I hear the dogs next door as if they are in my own home!I could go on and on but overall the shay is not the place you want to live and if there is a good review it was probably requested. And if u want to disregard all the honest reviews and move in after seeing the wonderful amenities and hearing the empty promises, you will soon see :)
I do NOT recommend this place. It looks nice on the outside but the managment and service are horrible. I am 28 weeks pregnant and have been having breathing problems since moving in here. I’ve been healthy my entire life and since moving in to the Shay I’m constantly sick with respiratory problems. It’s been the worste place to be pregnant. They claim it’s a “healthy” environment but that is nothing but marketing hype and the truth is it feels very toxic on the inside. People are constantly getting injured all around here and i don’t feel safe at all. A man fell off the breeze way several strories and laid in a pool of his own blood for hours before anyone found him.Another lady busted her head wide open in the gym. It has been a traumatic experience to be pregnant here and if you are a mother or expecting to be one soon please take it from this mom to be DO NOT RENT HERE. It does not feel like a healthy place to have a child. I wish we hadn’t fallen for the hype of the fancy pool and amenities. It wasn’t worth the impact it’s had on my health. We are miserable here. Managment shows no concern and is not held accountable. I’m counting the days until i can leave.
This place is terrible. I hated it.
