This place is far from professional. The staff is nice, but there service is a level zero. I came in wanting a balayage. My hairdresser that had 18 years experience, messed up the first time than tried three times, and only made it worse. I literally just spent 6 months healing and making my hair healthy, all of that went down the drain. I looked far worse walking out of the salon than walking in the salon. Iv been trying to contact that manager, but she’s too busy, it’s been a week. I would not recommend this place to anybody. They’re cheap prices will only make it worse

Service was great. Desiree was friendly and easy to talk to. My nails were pretty bad and rough, which she handled as best as anyone could. The only bad part was I wanted to get gel nails but they did not do those there. Other than that I was happy with my experience.

This place is amazing. I discovered it off of Groupon and I found the best hair stylist...Ashton! She is so awesome and the owner is super friendly and the place is very clean and reasonably priced. The pictures of her work though speak for itself.

Went here for a birthday manicure. She barely touched my nails beforehand, literally barely pushed back the cuticles, did a terrible job on the painting and it was pulling back/chipping by the next day so bad that I had to take it all off that next day! (gel that is supposed to last weeks!) The lady was nice so I feel bad leaving a bad review but I would never go here again.

This was a horrible experience. So unwelcoming and rude. I had my 3 year old daughter with me and she was really sad because they didn’t have anymore technicians for us to get her nails painted so while we were waiting I took a little polish and literally put a speck on each finger. I was sitting reading to my daughter waiting for my technician when the owner came up very abrasively scolded me for not masking my 3 year old and then told me she was charging me $10 for putting polish on my daughter. I admit not the best choice I’ve ever made but the unkindness and absolute horrible display she made was just one of those experiences that make you sick all day. Will never return or recommend. I have half a Groupon voucher that I still can use but not worth it for the bad vibes.

I finally found a place that I can go all the time to. My hairdresser was Catherine and I highly recommend her, shes very sweet and is very talented. Bringing my son here tomorrow and I know we wont be disappointed.

My friend and I both went. I had a great experience however she had a horrible one. My tech was super nice, friendly, welcoming, and funny. However the quality of work just wasn’t there. None of the techs were wearing gloves. They also said, “Don’t use Groupon. We need the full service. It’s good advertising for us, but we will just give you the discount here.” They didn’t file or even out our nails. My friend’s tech didn’t even do her leg massage, however mine did. Then, my friend gave her a twenty and asked for change so she could tip. The tech came back and said I only have fifteen in change, so I already have five for me. She automatically took five of the 20 for herself. That’s just sad.

My nail technician was very kind and good conversation. She was honesty about extra costs for gel nail polish for full set and pedicure. Plus she did a great job on both. I already made another appt with her for my two week fill.

Just had a pedi/mani by Kennedi and Im very impressed. Shes super good at what she does. Her touch and massage is perfect. Highly highly recommend her.

Catherine did my cut and styling and she is just totally amazing! So passionate about what she does, friendly and just knows her job so well! Jolene, the owner of this fabulous salon, did a FANTASTIC cut and color on my hair, that by the way I had someone else do before her and they didnt even come close to what I had asked for........ As can be seen in the pic. Bottom left corner is what I got the first time....... The other two are what I wanted and got from Jolene @ Salon by Design! Now thats a DRASTIC difference and a dramatically fabulous outcome! Needless to say, I feel GORGEOUS! The salon is always clean, well laid out and inviting. The prices are very competitive and you can usually find a Groupon for the service youre looking for. She and her staff are extremely polite, helpful, knowledgeable and greet you immediately! Jolene and the rest of her amazing staff stand completely 100% behind their work! If you arent satisfied in any way (Which you must likely wont ever be dissatisfied) they have NO problem doing what needs to be done to have you walking out of there feeling like youve just visited the highest end salon! THANK YOU Jolene and her staff!

Everyone here is really friendly and I really wanted to like it, but unfortunately my manicure turned out really badly. While my stylist was using the drill like thing to clean my cuticles, she really tore up the skin around my nails (see picture). Typically it wouldnt be that big of a deal but the main reason that I got the manicure was so that I would look good for a job interview and now my fingers just look really bad... I even had to wear a band-aid on one of my fingers because it would just randomly start bleeding the day that I got my manicure.On the other hand, Kennedy did my moms manicure and pedicure and she did AMAZING. They looked perfect and my mom was really happy with them. So if you decide to go here and get your nails done, ask for Kennedy because she did a really good job!

Kennedi has done gel nails of a teen friend of mine twice now. Kennedi is young and just starting but she is very good at cuticle removal, shaping nails and doing gel polish. The Groupon coupon makes the experience affordable. The whole staff is friendly and helpful.

Amazing service. I’m a regular customer for hair, nails, and pedicures. I’ve been going here for over a year, the salon is under new management, and has upgraded a lot of their services. Remodeling has changed the atmosphere of the business, and their clientele is growing!! I wouldn’t trust any other salon with any beauty related processes.

A couple days ago I went in for a balayage with Ashtyn. My hair has been boxed dyed a couple times, and was just so nappy. After going once with her I noticed such a huge difference and she is so good at educating people on why your hair reacts certain ways. She mentioned to me “knowledge was power”, and I couldn’t agree more. She is super committed and social. I don’t feel comfortable with many people dealing with my hair since it’s so difficult but she worked like a natural and Ill definitely be going back for my next few sessions. I feel like it’s really important for people to also understand you can’t go from dark to light hair in just a visit. It’s definitely worth the money and time. I love my hair, and I’ve received so many compliments already.

I love Jolene, shes done my nails for years. Noone compares to her skills. Her staff seems very friendly at this salon.

First time in here and as a man with really long hair, I was more than impressed. Got a trim, a bread cleanup and a shampoo, Stephanie took greak care of me and my wife. Very friendly and offers professional quality services. I will definitely be back.

I LOVE Salon by Design. I’ve been getting my hair cut & colored here since i moved to Utah. Jolene is the best!!

I arrived and showed her pictures of me & of what I had before. She said yeah no problem. She mixed up the color and applied it to my hair and went through all of the steps then rinsed it out and it was two different colors. The owner came over to consult the stylist, my mom called my regular gal, she told us what she normally did, they went back and mixed up more color and applied it again. I don’t think she really understood the toner part of the process. My platinum blonde takes my regular stylist two hours to do and it took them 4 1/2 hours for it to turn out yellow. Don’t go here if you want your color done right. It’s not worth it.

Not a good experience.. I used a Groupon for a gel Mani/Pedi. The lady was very nice. But she did not do a good job with my nails. First definitely not a manicure, she just polished my nails. It was not clean around the cuticles and just looked messy. Didnt even last a week before it started chipping and peeling off. Then for the pedicure she just has you put your feet on her lap, which is just weird. Its not even a nice pedicure since its just sitting in a salon chair and using an at home foot spa. I could have done this at home better and for cheaper. Would not recommend and would not go back. Disappointed is an understatement

Cait is great, she does beautiful lashes! She has given me haircuts, balayage, & highlights. My hair is growing out and it still looks nice, because she gave me fine baby lights at the root, and with a darker root the blonde pops! Best part is, with out me asking, she put in a ton of highlights at the nape of my neck for ponytails and updos it just looks really pretty. Other stylists only focus on the obvious she is detail oriented & willing to work with you😀

I had the worst experience ever! I purchased my Groupon and one for a girlfriend so we could have a fun night out and this was hands down the most horrible nail experience Ive ever had!We didnt get a manicure they just slapped some gel on our nails. They didnt even do a good job! They didnt have us wash our hands after the filed our nails nor did they do any cuticle removal or hand massage.... nothing!As for the pedicure it was even worse! They had us sit in chairs used for cutting hair, and put our feet in a like home spa thing propped on a box. Again they did a horrible job at painting our nails and didnt do pretty much anything else. I have never been so dissatisfied with a Groupon business ever!

By far the best mani-pedi I have ever had. The facility was clean and relaxing. The gel polish I chose for my nails is mood which basically means it changes colors based on temperature. It looks stunning with sometimes an ombre effect, other times it is a light blue and then will transition to a warm gray. The gel was so neatly applied and amazingly shiny with no cracks or peeling. Jolene was pleasant to talk to while she pampered my fingers. As for the pedicure, they just installed new pedicure chairs and remodeled the pedicure area. The ambiance in the pedicure area was a relaxing beach vibe with cool calming colors and and ocean artwork. Jolene spent so much time gently buffing all my calluses away so my feet are the softest they have ever been. The appointment went longer than I expected because she spent paid so much attention to every detail. The price was a tiny bit higher than the place I used to go to at the mall but the extra care is worth it, as was the great conversation with Jolene. They often have groupon deals available so check there if you are looking for a lower price. They do hair at the salon too so there was a hair chemical smell to get used to but even just a nail place has chemical smells so I didnt mind. They are usually booked out two weeks so plan ahead for your appointment. I will be planning ahead over and over again because Salon By Design and Jolene are now my favorite.

She is easy to talk to:) Fyi-- the nail salon and the hair salon are separate unit in this building. They are just sharing the space. Overall great service and welcoming staff!

Owner Jolene took personal phone call while doing my eyelashes. She would also constantly take questions from employees while working on my eyes. Very rude to do that. Also she keeps track of the tips people give her in the customer sheet. Would never have her work on me again!
