The property manager Darleen tried to get me and my boyfriend to pay a $500 security deposit one week before we even saw the apartment, saying we would get the deposit back if we decided not to sign the lease after seeing the apartment. We looked over the application we had signed and it said that the security deposit is $250 and that we would have 72 hours to get our deposit back after paying it, which is clearly much less than a week.Darleen also refused to reply to my email, instead insisting on talking over the phone. She called me 3 days after I sent her an email in which I asked for clarification, and she got an attitude with me for not paying the $500 yet and said we were causing her to lose business because she was turning other potential tenants away for us. She acknowledged my email in that phone call but still explicitly insisted on handling everything verbally. She was also extremely pushy throughout the whole process. She also acknowledged that my boyfriend and I are first-time renters and dont know how things work which leads me to believe she was trying to take advantage of us.Very concerning. Please be careful with Cedar Creek, especially if you are young and/or a first-time renter.
I wouldn’t recommend to anyone
It was very disappointing
I lived in this apartment complex for over a year and a half. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, and understanding. I only had one problem with the other tentants (some with pets would not pick up their dog poop) which I brought to the attention of the manager and she addressed the issue in a timely manner. It was very quite as a whole and I never heard any of the people living around me. This complex was in a safe area of town but still had police patrol. I would for sure live there again, no questions asked, and recommend this property to anyone.
Been here bout 3 months love it
When we first arrived(last friday) we spoke with the assistant property manager. And she was so nice. She took time out with us, told us all about the complex, pricing (625 for a 1 bedroom 715 for a 2 bedroom etc), how their process goes etc. When left we felt great and was looking forward to becoming a resident. We originally made arrangements to come and do all of the paperwork on monday but couldnt make it that day due to personal issues. But we called and notified the assistant that we spoke with that we would be in on friday. (Today Nov. 16, 2018 ) well when we gets there on friday(today) the assistant property manager appeared as if she didnt know who we were at first. But as we got closer she recognized us. And offered us to come into her office, have a seat, and began to telling us that the apartment we were looking at last week has been given away to someone else that they felt was more qualified for it than us. And she had this other apartment coming up that was near the woods. And then she began telling us that the rent price would no long be 625 now the price is going to be 725 for a one bedroom. She never says how much more the deposit was going to be. But she informed us that since last week that we spoke with her a new tenant has come and grabbed the other apartment we were looking at, and changes to the rules had been made. Now they want you to meet 3 times the rent to qualify( in which that was something she never meantioned last week) plus she stated that the rent was going up 100 bucks because THE OWNER is wanting to do upgrades. To the carpet, and the floors, and paint the cabinets, etc. Showed us a sample of what type of carpet it would be, plus the type of new flooring for the kitchen and laundry and bath...I really wasnt impressed with it. She seemed like she was rushing. Trying to hurry us out of there. Unlike the way she acted last week which was very kind, warm. Welcoming, patient, talkativeShe then grabbed some income info and calculated that the amount of income would not be enough to qualify to be a resident at their complex. THIS IS SOMETHING SHE ALSO COULD HAVE DONE LAST WEEK WHEN WE WERE HERE RATHER THAN HAVE US COMING BACK ONLY TO BE TOLD A TOTALLY DIFFERENT RENT PRICE ALONG WITH TELLING US THAT WE HAD TO MAKE 3 TIMES THE RENT IN WHICH SHE DID NOT MEANTION THE WEEK BEFORE. She tried giving this little pep talk about how she believes how well blah blah blah. And keep up the good work and blah blah blah. Keep in touch with me and blah blah blah. Come by anytime and blah blah blah. Gave us back our papers and pretty much brushed us out of her office. Last week she got up from her desk and walked us to the door. Today she stayed seated and said nice meeting you all. Smh. Glad she didnt waste our time by doing a credit check and leaving us with an inquiry to lower our score for no reason. At least she spare us that. Good thing we actually own our houses and dont really need an apartment complex or else we would be screwed. We only wanted an apartment because we wanted a fresh start on a different side of town. But if the people here at cedar creek is going to be doing random pop up changes out of the blue like that and we havent even made it to being a resident then I can only image what it would have been like if we actually did move in. .....thanks for the surprise( we dont qualify because we are short 300 bucks)Changes, thanks for giving us the info that wasnt given the week before. Thanks for us wasting our time and our gas. I mean had she told us this stuff last week...3 times the rent to qualify, the rent is going to be going up to 725 for a one bedroom in the month of December because the owner decided to make upgrades. Had she been honest from jump we would have just not even wasted our time. And we could have just gone somewhere else. I think it all was a trick to be honest. Hoping to hurry up and get us in then out of the blue pop up with the surprise you now have to pay 725....yes we are a bit angry but at the same time grateful that things didnt go that way.
Cozy apartments and a cozy price... the area is quiet and well kept
It a place I visited sand its very nice
Zero points if I could VERY ( UNPROFESSIONAL ) reason being I was in a car accident somebody else had hit me . And upon that I was getting everything taking care of .In the mist of the accident and i did so well afterwards this company that . I had applied once before for a position at called and I told what had just happened they told me to take care of my situation first and like I mentioned earlier I did . So afterwards they asked If i would work for the amount offered for servicing two separate properties and to think about it well I didnt accept it . Due to a unresponsive communication of a fair wager . So sometime last week they called again and asked if I wanted to accept the job after we discussed a proper salary . And I said yes for the servicing of two separate properties well after I completed all the necessary paperwork, the drug test . And also waiting on the manager to get through smoking not one but two cigarettes and receiving a start date of the next day .The manager Rebecca Henson and the company that was so determined for me to work for them. Called thirty minutes before closing and said that she and the company say I am not a right fit although I was before but now I am not now. I wonder why I was so profitable to hire last week and upon today and thirty minutes before closing. Even after my patience with the unprofessionalism they demonstrated all of a sudden I was not the right fit . Even with the proper certifications in there own WORDS . Was what I was told after the phone was hung up in my face . Am I wrong for thinking and saying this was very disrespectful and unprofessional to do not just to any individual . :-! If not please comment I would like to know why not .
I thoroughly enjoy living here.
A friend moved there and had a visitor outside the door rattle snake.
