Ive only been here twice for gel manicure and I have to say, Tina is THE best! Ive always done my own nails, albeit they dont turn out like the ones on Pinterest or the youtube tutorials. I thought it was a waste of money and time, especially since Ive had bad experiences. My friend and stumbled upon Nail Fitness on Yelp as we were looking for a good nail salon in the area. Tina is very detailed but efficient at the same time. I just showed her a picture online and Tina was able to recreate the nails exactly! My nail looked perfect in a decent amount of time. Both times, Ive had compliments on my nails, so I trust Tina will do a good job!The place is pretty small, with only 5 chairs for manis, and 5 or 6 chairs for pedis. There is a platic divider between you and the tech. Masks are required inside! They only do regular or gel, no powder, acrylic, hard gel, etc. If youre looking for fancy nails with the rhinestones, this place is not for you honey! Despite that, all the girls seem to do a good job with the manis. If you have a specific design, Tina does her best to accommodate. It says they accept walk-ins on Yelp, but definitely make an appointment because this place was PACKED by noon on a Saturday. Will be returning!

The pedicure at Nail Fitness is one of the best Ive ever received. I am giving this a 5- star review because of the pedicure, the tech who gave me the pedicure was amazing, the atmosphere is open, airy, relaxing, and upscale, and the owner provided excellent customer service. The treatment I received from the tech who did my manicure wasnt at the same level as the others but everything else was so amazing, I cant take a star off because of that portion of the experience.

I am so glad I found Nail Fitness a cozy shop that is able to pay attention to detail. The owner blended 2 colors for me after I couldnt find one to match my hands and the hot stone massage is everything!! I work on my feet and I have to say I walked out on a cloud💓💓🌈🌈

So I like this place a lot! They have really amazing spa pedicures! Their gel manicures are good, but I feel like they make your nails too thin and damaged, by doing a lot of filing/buffing, making nails broken easily. Ive been getting gel done for years and have never experienced this. I dont know if Id go back for a gel manicure because it took my nails almost 2 months to recover from it. But on the positive side, if youre only doing your nails for an occasion, sure! They made my nails look amazing! But I will reiterate that the spa pedicure is on point and definitely recommend!

This is by far the best manicure Ive ever gotten. Ive been there about 4 times now and each time I amazed all over again. I get a regular manicure - no gel, nothing fancy. At every other place Ive gotten a manicure, my nails chip heavily within 2-3 days. This picture is of a manicure I got 7 full days ago! It is pristine on both hands. Not one chip. I didnt touch it up or anything. Truly impressed by their work. Not sure how they do it, but they are magic!! Happy to give them my service over other places.

I took my mom, my sisters, my cousin and my niece... they treated us like royalty. My niece is two and we were allowed to do her manicure ourselves because she was very scared to be outside. It meant the world to her and it made us feel so welcomed. This will be my spot for years to come. Thank you 🙏🏾

I have been going to Nail Fitness since they opened. I am allergic to acrylic and they do not use any acrylics there! This is the only place I can go where I get the best nails and not allergies! They know my name and it feels like home every time I go. 💛💛💛

They are definitely on the expensive side, but it is almost to be expected for a salon on Bloomfield Avenue in the heart of Montclair. With that said, they do the best pedicures and gel manicures around. They do not at all rush through their work--all nail techs take their time and ensure the work is done well. My gel manicure typically lasts AT LEAST 3 weeks, so I dont mind spending a little extra when it will last and not chip like other places Ive been to. Thank you!

Efficient service and courteous

I hadnt gotten a pedicure in some years and wanted to treat myself yesterday. Im really grateful that they were able to squeeze me in 45 minutes after I called to see if they took walk-ins. Unfortunately, the woman that worked on me acted like I didnt exist the entire time. Though, she chatted with her coworkers for most of it. On top of that, she pushed my cuticle too far on my right big toe, and it made me bleed. One thing that I did like was that they used heated stones to massage your legs. I wasnt sure if everything was done, and she ushered me to the drying station. I paid the $35 plus tip and left feeling like I wasnt really pampered. The cost was a bit expensive for a subpar experience. I dont think Ill be going back.

One of the best pedicures I have ever received. However, I have been turned away from the establishment at least 3 times which leaves me to believe that they do not want to service me because of the color of my skin. As an African American male, I may not be a part of their typical demographic but they should treat everyone fairly. The owner is very nice and is great at customer service. However, when she is not there her staff was very rude and awkward with me. I have since gone to New Montclair Nail Salon down the street. Excellent customer service!!!!!

My sister is a regular here and while I was visiting she took me for a manicure and pedicure... All i can say is WOW! This is best nail salon that I ever came to and their Pedicures are to die for!! These women take their with your feet and nails. The owner is soo nice and professional. Mos def check this place out its worth the extra money!

It’s honestly a great place to go when you really want to spend the extra money. They are a little pricy when it comes to getting regular manicure and pedicures but they do an amazing job. I go there at least every two months when I want to pamper myself.

Place is very clean, quiet & modern. Tina is very professional & nice, she always goes above & beyond to make sure your nails look beautiful. My nails look like a work of art & not just painted nails. Highly recommend.

The first time I came here I was SO surprised with the quality of the pedicure. You pay $35 for luxury spa treatment with an amazing lower leg massage that would easily cost $75 elsewhere. I also got my first gel manicure which lasted me almost 2 months (I know, I kept forgetting to get it filled) without ANY chipping. Ive gone back 5 times since then and had no issues with calling for a reservation. Yes, they dont accept walk ins but their availability is decent for an amazing nail salon such as theirs.

I dont understand all of these reviews about it being impossible to make an appointment. I called yesterday and was fit in today. Tina always does her best to accommodate me. The most Ive had to wait is two days. Ive been going here for two years now and I refuse to go anywhere else. Best pedicures around and also fantastic gel manicures. They last weeks! The staff is friendly and I always leave satisfied.

I came across this place and decided to give them a shot - the owner did my nails but it seemed like she did not want to. I figured she was possibly having a bad day so I decided to not take it personal and return for my gel fill -in. She seemed to never have appointments and when she did have an appointment it was so far out that I found myself always waiting 4 weeks before I got my nails done so I stopped going to her.After 9 months I called to make an appointment and still no change in her attitude and everyone that I send there seems to have the same experience - She is not a nice person and hates doing nails. She does a great job but I will never go tot her because she is not a pleasant person and when you are spending your money you deserve great work and good customer service. If you go here and you get good customer service from her then great - but then it calls into question if she picks and chooses who to give good service to and I would not want to think that in 2016 we have a salon in a melting pot area such as this one where you color and race are a factor in good customer service...

I usually go to another nail place up the street but this place is closer to my house so I decided to stop in. I didnt have an appointment but they had time. I got a gel manicure which was done well and lasted 2.5 weeks. But, they are more expensive than other places and I dont think I got any additional benefit or service compared to other locations. For this reason, I wouldnt go back.Also, not necessarily their fault, but the woman next to me was extremely loud and rude. She was bossing her husband around asking him to run a bunch of errands, on the phone with various people and having loud conversations with all the workers. It made my experience very unrelaxing and I would even say stressful, having someone next to me basically yelling the entire time.

Whhen I called i was greeted by a friendly voice and quick reaponses, thats the only thing saving this review from 1 star.... I was told that making an appointment was better than just walking in so I made an appointment. I walked in and was told I would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes. What the hell was the point of making an appointment if Im not seen when I get there? Very disappointed.

I love this salon. Period. Never have i ever heard of getting a spa pedicure for only 25...I got a tingly mint masque, followed by a scrub, followed by honey and then topped off by a hot stone massage. WHAT!?Forget that parafin on the heels, I will take this any day. And Nancy was very thorough and even gave me a mini back massage while my toes dried.Now in saying all this I did come on a Tuesday night. I dont think I would come during the weekend even with an appointment since it is a small salon and Im sure they get super packed...

I came across this place last summer (2015) and fell in love with the service. They provide amazing quality and the pedicures are seriously to die for.BUT... and this is a huge BUT... Ive walked in there 3 times to get my eyebrows done and no one is available to do them. One time, owner Tina, was not in and the girl said I could wait and see if Tina came in. when I finally got tired of waiting she said Id have to wait an hour and she would do them--as most women I am extremely picky about who does my eyebrows so I was annoyed and left. Its not like I walked in and wanted a gel mani or pedicure.This place has become impossible to get into. For a mani pedi I had to make an appointment 2+ weeks ahead of time.I cant review a quality establishment if I cant get in for services.Its time for them to move into a bigger space and get more quality technicians because life happens and if my salon cant fit me in when i really need them to then I have to find a new salon. Im sure Im not the only person who feels this way.

I made an new client appt 2 wks ago 4pm for mani &;5pm for pedi . I called about 2 hrs prior let them know i was going to be running late. Jae answered the phone letting me know i dont have an appt and whoever made appt didnt have her appt book .she asked if i can come at 3:45 for mani & i can get pedi afterwards about an hour later . I told her thats pushing it if i couldnt be there at 4 what make her think Id be there 3:45 . However, i arrived at 4:30 figuring Ill just get pedicure . I went to sign book and Jae the owner was rude and said that isnt the book to sign and she came over to desk and said i was late and she didnt think i was coming even though i confirmed appt . She said there were 5 people ahead of me and i cant be seen . Jae proceeded and said you can make an appt for another day. Absolutely not i wont patronize your business after being rude and didnt greet me when i walked in and said i was late . I agree with comments Jae is very rude. I went up 2 blocks to the new Montclair nail & spa everyone was pleasant and the owner walked 2 blocks to put his own money in the meter for me because I parked near Nail fitness . I was impressed and glad this unfortunate screw up lead me to this establishment
