I was treated like part of the family… I’m so happy that it’s Spanish owned because we all need to support our ethnic businesses… Janeyliz and her mother are just amazing… I felt like I was at home with my family… they are so professional but fun. Amazing! I went to my normal place after quarantine ended and they jacked up my nails, they didn’t listen and it was an all around awful experience. The next day JaneyLiz saved me! It was a great experience and I’m looking forward to going back! She listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond! Her work is great. I also did the deluxe pedicure and it was great! I’ve never had such a good pedicure! This is hands down the best salon in Middletown.

I wanted to wait until my nails grew out before doing a review. Below are photos of before and after nail growth. I am beyond happy with my nails. I was going somewhere else, and a couple of friends referred me to Meraki Nail Salon. The after photo is a whole month and some days since the last time I got them done. I have not experienced any lifting or have broken a nail. Everyone at the salon is friendly and social. All the girls a super talented. I went to LisyG (you can find her work on Instagram), and she did a fantastic job. Before, my nails were uneven, and the shape was completely wrong. She took her time to even them out and shaped them the correct way (coffin nails). I plan on going back, but first I need to let my nails breath for a bit. The process/time on getting your nails done may be lengthy; however, it is completely worth it.

I have known Jenny for 10 years when she was doing nails in her home. I moved from Brooklyn, NY and lost contact with her after I got a new phone. In 2018, I moved back in the area and tried some nail salons in the area that were recommended. They start off good, then they end up falling off. One day, I spoke to a real estate agent and her nails looked so nice and she gave me the information (and spoke highly of the place and the people whom worked there).I went home, looked up the place and saw on the site that it was Jenny (I almost started to cry). I went over to the shop, stayed there for a while, conversing with her mother because Jenny was booked a month in advance. The business made me feel like home like I was family. They were awesome and is still awesome to this day. Her Mother, Lisy, does my nails. I can’t express how happy I am about reuniting with them my nails always looking fabulous. For 6-7 weeks, I have gone without a broken or lifted nail. How many nail shops do you know can do that?

Will never book here due to bad reviews Ive heard and replies that seem less than willing to correct issues reported from paying clients. Unprofessional.

My nail tech was friendly and did a wonderful job but it took her 3 hours to do my basic manicure and pedicure. The person who was going to do my waxing left for the day knowing she had someone waiting. That alone was a huge turn off. I made an appointment in advance and still did not have all services done. Very unprofessional on the salons part.

Believe me when I say Ive been all around Middletown looking for the best possible nail tech. This place is by far the very best, with the best staff and atmosphere. They take their time with you and really make you feel comfortable. Ever since I’ve been coming here I get my nails done by Yashi and I never leave unhappy.

Ive been going to Janey for about 8 months now and there hasnt been one time I left disappointed / unsatisfied with my nails. Janey and her team work magic. They can do very intricate and stylish nails and have the ability to do things most nail salons cant. They also offer more than nails but waxing, facials, lashes and henna. I highly recommend giving Janey and her team the time of day. As someone who is extremely picky with everything, especially my nails, I can genuinely say I trust Janey.

Lisy G did my nails and let me tell you that she does amazing work! The first time I went I felt like she was a bit pricey but IT IS WORTH IT. My nails had no lifting or nail polish coming off for like a a month! I went again recently to get a fill and they were beyond amazing. I am never disappointed when I go to her. This is honestly my only nail shop that I’ve been going to since I found them. The energy is amazing and The set that I received was absolutely beautiful. It’s my favorite set I’ve ever gotten done by LisyG. Im still blown away and can’t stop looking at them.

Let me start off by saying I dont think you deserve even one star but since it wont let me give you none you get the one. Ive been in this Salon 1 time and it was 1 time too much. As I was sitting there getting my nails done by an older woman which I believe is the owners mother I overheard the owner airing out clients dirty laundry. This is very unprofessional. Anyone in this industry knows how important confidentiality and trust is between Tech and client. Seems very shady and Im sure as soon as I walk out they all have something to say about me, and anyone else who walks into the place. When I was there I overheard the owner talking about other employees. Which as a customer I dont want to hear. Now to move on to the worst part, within 3 days of having a full set done my nails were popping off. They clearly use cheap products. I will never come to this ghetto salon ever again. Learn to run a business and maybe youll succeed.

Ive been going to Janeyliz for a few years now. I always leave loving my nails. I can bring her any picture and she can do it on my nails. She takes pride in her work. She has a wonderful team that works for her from pedicures, gel manicures, exotic inserts and much more! She also has a licensed esthetician who does massages, eyebrow tinting just to name a few. So do yourself a favor and go check her out.

Place is amazing, clean and everyone’s friendly, You Tell Janey what you want and she gives you that and more, I definitely always leave satisfied, great place to go for nails and much more

After seeing such stellar reviews, I decided to try this salon. LISYG, did my nails. I had booked the appointment several weeks in advance, and left a deposit via their website, which is what their Facebook page instructed to do . I made an appointment late AM, for a full set and dry pedi. I came in the salon 11:05 for a appointment at 11. She had already taken a client and began doing her nails, alright, I had booked an appointment in advance and LISYG had said “it will be about 45 minutes would you like to come back, or wait?” I said I’d wait, it was my day off and was willing to wait because her work looked great. Well an hour passes, then two, then three. I was finally seen at 2:45ish, LISYG said this was due to the client wanting extremely intricate nails done, which I completely understand is not her fault and that it takes time. At the time I tried to blow it off, I was occupied on my phone but now it definitely feels like I was taken advantaged of. I wanted a French fade ombré, which I thought LISYG did a great job of, at first ... she gave me no discount for the long wait ( fine..), she forgot I had put down a deposit after I was charged, and I left at around 5:30pm, I did not receive my dry pedi because by that time I wanted to go home, and LISYG did not even mention that part of the appointment. BUT before I left I had booked an appointment, (left my phone NUMBER, and LISYG put that into the computer schedule) for 2 weeks later for a fill, which LISYG credited my $20 deposit towards . Today I showed up 15 minutes early to my appointment, Janeyliz was shocked to hear I was there for a fill with LISYG. She told me LISYG had canceled her day to some other commitments. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND THINGS COME UP. But I was not called, in fact I was emailed the day before via their email service to confirm/remind me that I had an appointment for TODAY. I went out of my way on my day off for nothing. Now, Janeyliz did give me my deposit back and did apologize. I went to another nail salon 30 minutes away to which the nail tech had to do immensive reshaping and said that the nails were “too bulky, and the acrylic WAY to thick creating almost a mountain effect in the middle” but the French ombré was nice,To which I will give credit where credit is due. But I had to agree, especially after I saw the difference once the tech had completed my fill, the nail looked more natural and not thick like before. I don’t know if LISYG was having an off day or what, but her work online looks beautiful, so I was dismayed for the price I paid paired with the wait, to receive what I got. I am in no way saying the employees are nasty, or not creatively talented, I’m just extremely disappointed in the work I received and the way of business that was conducted towards me.

Let me start off by saying they doing amazing nails. If u are coming here for the technique and skill you are in luck. The women who work here are hard working individuals as well as skilled and that shows. HOWEVER, I am going to speak on the experience I have personally had with this business. First time I came in I called ahead and scheduled an appt pulled up the receipts of me calling and was told they are short and to come back in a couple of hours which was fine. I really wanted to try this business because of the great reviews and pictures regarding the work. Also, I had errands to do so fine, I’ll come back. When I did come back I had to wait 2 hours on top of leaving and returning. Again, I was okay because the price for my nails were discounted and my nails came out bomb. Second time I came, I was 6 mins late and received a call stating so I told them I was right their and showed probably another 5-6 minutes later. 2nd time my nails were done they came out bomb again I was happy. Now today, I had an appt at 5:30pm and came in at 5:42 12 mins after my appt. Jenny was doing her best friend//co worker (the receptionist nails) who coincidentally was the same person who did my nails the 2nd time. I just feel like courtesy should be considered for all paying clients and not just the ones u know(if they even pay). When Jenny told me she took her instead cause I was running late first off, I am hesitate because I have been doing nails since I was 15 year old and am 27 now. The tips were on and pressed which mean her cuticles were already cut, filed etc. and that takes more time than just the 12 mins late I was running. As stated previously I have been to this business 2xs previously. Each time I was their well over 2 hours easily (they take their time and it took wayyyyyyyy more than 12 mins to complete just that on my nails so that means either u r rushing her nails or you lying 🤔) plus they stop in between to attend to other customers. Me being late and a paying customer (who tips) why didn’t I get that courtesy call like the second time? I mean save me the gas and time. Plus as a new customer I was never stated the rules when it comes to appts is it not something that should be included in the confirmation and remainder emails. Why not let me know a head of time of such rules? 8 mins late u could lose your spot simple enough. I am a honest person who makes an honest living. I have never paid less than 60 dollars for a fill plus design (depending on my design the price increases). The most I paid here was like 65 dollars (with a 18 dollar discount) not including tip! I am speaking on higher prices more less cause I like bling(if u know what I mean). I work Monday-Friday’s at a call center so essentially weekends work better for me but they were booked and I have a baby shower to attend. So coming from work working in a call center u can get stuck on calls etc. things happen that are out of your control. My critic of this business is it is a great place to get your nails done they do an exceptional job however, when it comes to simple things such as organization, communication and just simple customer consideration it slacks. Customer interaction and loyalty is it not to that to which completes your business? Is it not the word of mouth that is the best advertaising yet? When I say I was raving about this place to anyone and all I knew I was! I just think as a business there should be expectations set in the BEGINNING so the client is at least aware. THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I personally won’t be back which is disappointing but was great while it lasted.
