I love my nails every time I leave here! When I worked in Newark and Wilmington, everyone I met with great nails told me they got them done at Kay’s in Wilmington. The prices are reasonable (even more so if you pay with cash), they can get you scheduled fairly quickly, and you leave knowing your nails look amazing. This is the only place in the county I get my nails filled now.

Depending on the person you get will make or break your experience. Kay and Mercedes are great; very gentle and in no rush. Jen did my manicure and pedicure at my most recent visit and I was not pleased. I asked to get my full set removed and get a gel manicure (I called and made an appointment to specifically get this done) and she ripped them off. No soaking them at all. You could tell she was in a rush and my natural nails are now very weak and soft.

Today I got a pedicure from Mercedes and I 10/10 recommend scheduling with her. She was kind, funny and had a soft hand! I did not feel like I was being rushed in and out, she took her time with my pedicure and eye brows. She was very easy to have open communication with as well. I will definitely be back to see her again in a few weeks! Thank you again !

Mercedes was great!!! She is always doing my nails now!! Hands down, switch from another place cause they couldn’t fit me right on with a broke nail. Kay’s did and I couldn’t be happier.

I used to go to Tropical here in Middletown and I was unable to get an appointment there so I called Kays. I have been coming here ever since. The staff is friendly and they do an amazing job! I can bring in any picture of what Id like on my nails and they always make them look so good.

DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE RUDE AND ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY. when i came in the girl that fixed my nail, short bob cut sits at table 4, already had an attitude and acted like she didnt want to do it (which now i wish she hadnt) from the beginning she ripped the left over acrylic off my nail taking some of my nail with it, the nail isnt even the same length as my other nails, the design that i had gotten on my finger is crooked, the acrylic is way thicker than the rest of my nails and on top of all this they had the nerve to charge me to fix a nail that i had gotten done 2 days prior claiming it wasnt there fault when the nail tech who did my nails originally left a crack that went half way through my nail. they over charge for the worst service Ive EVER experienced.

Very friendly from the 1st phone call to the nail specialist. Did a great pedicure and snowflake design. Will definitely return and recommend!

I have been going to Kay for 7 years. Have never had any problems with my gel nail & they never chip. She goes out of her way for customers so they are satisfied when they leave. If there is any problem she will fix it.

Not worth your time or money to go here. The prices on the website and when you walk into the store are completely different and misleading. Along with that, were way to fast and ended up cutting my fingers. I ended up just not getting anything because service (removal process, cut down etc) and pricing was not up to par. Way better places to go in town that’s cheaper and does a better job.

My daughter and I used this business for the first time. My daughters nails looked horrible and the nail tech had the nerve to get upset and started throwing her own belongings around when my daughter asked her clean up her nails. The owner Kay came over to make things better but the horrible employee continued to work on some else. I have never experienced anything like this and needless to say, we will not return. My hope is that Middletown has something better to offer! This was unacceptable!

This place is so clean and everyone is so friendly that works there. The owners pay special attention to everyone who walks in the front door. I would recommend them to anyone. Five Stars!

This was the worst salon I have ever been to. The guy made my nails round, when I told him I wanted it to be square. He did two awful coats on my nails. My nails are so uneven, I cannot even bare to look at them. I came in with acrylics, wanted them to be removed and have a gel manicure. He repeatedly shaved over my nails with the harshest buffer I have ever felt, causing them to be so brittle and weak I was cringing in my chair. I will never come back. All of the five star review are fake. I am so disappointed.

Very pleasant, polite employees. Much nicer than some of the other nail salons in the area. That makes a big difference to me. Pleased with the quality of service, also.

Ive been to Kays 3 times. Each time leaving optimistic, only to be disappointed very shortly after. I dont know what kind of top coat theyre using, but it flakes and starts to peel off within just a day or two. I hoped last time was just a fluke, and asked about the top coat to ensure it was gel and even asked for a second coat and it was still flaking off and peeling within 2 days! Ugh! They are also more expensive than other salons and charge extra for everything individually (ex. Nail art is charged per finger). Dont be fooled by the bottle either because she told me they just refill it.

This place is terrible. Don’t wast your money. My full set came out horrible I had to tell them the nails they weren’t even. Then she proceeds to try to fix them. They paint my niece nails and it look like my dog paint them. Then they get a attitude cause I started taking pic. Don’t waste your time

It is used to be one of my favorite places to pamper. Their price is pretty reasonable compared to other places in town. It is also cheaper if you pay cash. One day, I came in to get my feet and nail done by the tech named Tina. She gave some unnecessary comments about my feet which made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked her why there is difference in the prices between cash payment and card payment. She said the owner is trying to claim less money on the tax. I have nothing else to say.

This was my first time going to Kay nails and Amy did a wonderful job on my nails. I am glad to find a place close to m job instead of having to drive to Bear, which can be time consuming. I definitely will be back.

It was my first time there and I was excited because I read the reviews. I went in for a pedicure and a gel polish change. As I was getting my pedicure I was picking out the Polish that I want it after she painted my toes she asked what color I wanted for my nails I showed her the colors I want it the one that was supposed to be a new color they did not have in stock so then I had to go back to trying to figure out what I want she seems to get very annoyed with me so when I finally saw the color in regular polish I asked for that she then was even more annoyed and was telling me that the Joe was the same color which it clearly was not I wanted a rose gold and it was a yellow gold. After she remove the Polish I rinse my hands and ask her just to shape them because they were around it she told me no because I was being picky and I was difficult that was really upsetting since I work in the service industry you should never talk to a paying customer like that especially when its their first time I will never go back there again ever worst service ever

Moved here from Philly. I used to commute back and forth to do my nails but got tired of doing that. Tried a couple other nail salons in Middletown and didnt have a good experience. I dont trust a lot of people with my nails. But I took a chance after having a good experience with a gel pedicure. With that being said Michael did a great job with my nails and I came back for a 2nd time.

Made a appointment 2 weeks ahead of time. Arrived and sat for 25 minutes. The lady proceeded to do my pedicure and without asking did gel polish and charged $45! That’s ridiculous.

My nails turned out horribly, the man was more interested in what was going on around him than his work. All I went in for was for a filling and they dont look like they were even filled and the acrylic was applied way too thick. If I could give them less than one star I would.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This was my first experience at this salon and I went in for a full set acrylic. I was charged an extra $5 for little things that I haven’t been charged for at other shops. “A little longer” here was regular length at other salons. I was charged $5 extra. To have them shaped as coffin nails was another $5. Lastly, I wanted 5 different colors but no design or gel and that was another $5 extra. I ended up paying $37 total and it was not even gel nail polish. She also had an attitude simply because I wanted different colors on my nails. The woman who was TRACY. Not only was she very rude, she also rushed and was very rough. She did a horrible job. The polish is all sloppy and I have nail polish on my cuticles. I feel as though she didn’t care about my nails because she thought I was young and wouldn’t give a tip. I was planning on leaving a $10 tip but after I was treated so rudely I did not even leave a tip. She didn’t use a hot towel or lotion my hands. She was talking in Chinese to her other employees the WHOLE time. It was getting quite annoying. No one wants to hear Ching Chang wa qua chu fung lu que sitting there for the entire time. I am never going back there. I was better off going somewhere else to get treated professionally and paying only $3 more than I just paid now for a $40 gel set.
