The manager here is the most awful unpleasant woman I have ever had to deal with. Extremely unhelpful and seemed to have purposely ruined my booking in order to charge us more. I would not recommend coming here. Spoke to customer service and they said only she could removed the fees she charged us but she bluntly said she wasnt going to. Never had a problem with AVIS. Rent cars from them all the time but not anymore. This awful female put a sour taste in my mouth when it comes to AVIS . She needs to be FIRED.

The manager of this establishment has a horrible attitude. In my many years of renting cars I have NEVER been spoken to with such disrespect. She first came up to us with a very RUDE and bad attitude. We literally just walked up and she was upset. I understand if you had a bad day, but you don’t have to make others feel horrible. She was making up numbers and REFUSED to show us a fake policy. We unfortunately did not get to leave with our rental car. A car we booked for 330 came out to 932 she told me if I do not show my work badge to show proof of work then she can’t give me my federal discount. I wasn’t aware I had to carry my work non existent work badge with me. Not every job provides a badge. She literally slammed her hand on the desk and kicked us out when we asked for proof of the policy. I am taking this to corporate. As someone who works in customer service I wouldn’t trust that manager to run my business. Please avoid this establishment at alllllllo cost. Please do not go through what I went through. Please!

We didn’t check the reviews before we showed up, and only actually checked them the day we were returning our car. Despite what other reviews say, we had fantastic service at this location! The woman who helped us was friendly, funny, kind, and extremely helpful. We didn’t buy the Sun Pass and she helped us plan a route to our location without tolls. We also showed up late due to delayed flights and missed our original reservation (Kia Soul), but we ended up with a Dodge Charger instead! Check in was about 20 minutes and check out took less than five. The only recommendation I have is to spruce up the interior - there are only two chairs that are super uncomfortable and there’s nothing in the rest of the office besides the desk and some signs. Better furniture and decoration would make the office more welcoming and comfortable. If I come back to Miami, I’ll use this location again!

Terrible experience! They didnt have any cars for us despite our reservation. They put it on us to call the reservation department and make other arrangements. Avoid them at all costs!3/16 update: despite everything above and being assured our reservation was cancelled, I was still charged a $50 no show fee. In speaking with Avis they refused to refund the charge. Had to dispute the charge with my CC company.

Never rent from budget rental companies. They called me one hour before my reservation and canceled it. Actually it was worse, they said they had no cars but couldn’t refund my reservation, I had to call a 1-800 number.This is an Avis problem, not unique to this location. Avoid Avis, you’ll likely end up having to rebook with a more expensive service last minute anyways.

Trying to trade our car we had picked up in Ft. Lauderdale we stopped here. They had no cars but we couldnt get anyone to answer the phone so we made the trip. What a waste of time!

I would recommend using a different car rental service.There was an issue with the card I had on file to prepay the vehicle and the card I had in person-- I understand this is an issue but the Sales Rep Gloria was not helpful and borderline rude. To be fair, I witnessed her interactions with other customers who came in after me to do a drop off and she was perfectly nice and helpful. It is easy to be pleasant and friendly when everything is easy-- it takes true hospitality and customer service skills to make a difficult situation better. Instead she was dismissive and made a difficult situation much worse.I will be sure to use Sixt that is walking distance away the next time I need to rent a car.My boyfriend and I have been loyal to budget for a few years now... they lost our business.

THIS RENTAL CAR PLACE WILL PUT YOUR LIFE and YOUR FAMILIES LIFE IN DANGER!!! They do not check the cars before they rent them and they could care less if theyve given you a car that has not been checked or cleaned since the previous rental. The customer service could care less about you or your safety, this place gave us a car that was unchecked and on our way driving back home from Miami to Tampa one of the tires blew out because it was not inflated correctly. We careened off the freeway and into a guard rail all because the car was not checked before renting out to us. I have multiple pictures of the blow out to show how and why it was blown out. It was not our fault.

This was my first and Definitely my last booking a car with avis. I planned a family roadtrip and I booked the car weeks in advance. When I got there the lady said theres no car for me because I doubled booked and they thought it was fraud/scam so they canceled my SUV, mind you I only booked one car and have the itinerary in my email for one.They also claimed they called my phone and leaved messages and till this day I see nor heard anything. To top it off when I ask her if I can book the SUV now or even the next day she said no. If it was up to me I wasnt going and give any stars.

If I could give zero star I would do that. Bad service Ive ever seen for car rental service. They deceive customers. Youll probably waste a lot of time and get nothing if you decide to rent a car at this place. Be prepared for that and make a reservation. I cannot believe how this kind of company could even survive with the competition of lots of other rental companies. Ive rented car at this place every week in the past two month but Ill never go there again.I made reservation half a month ago but when I called them before I go pick up my car today they lady said they have no car and theyre going to close without any patience and she didnt give me other options or try to help me with my problem. Then why didnt you inform me in advance so that I could find other companies? Then I just called the store at Dadeland by myself and they told me they had the kind of car I reserved. But when I went there they told me it was wrong info. I was kind of annoyed and called customer service for help. The guy on the phone helped me make another reservation at the store at downtown and promised that I could get a car there for sure. However, after I went there the people in store told me they dont have car for me either again! I was so disappointed that I went to three places and still didnt get my car. If you cannot guarantee that I can get a car then why did you ask me for a reservation? And both the people in store and the guy on the phone just deceived me by telling me they have car at other locations but when I went there we said we had no car anymore. How could such a big corporate deceive customers? If you cannot guarantee my reservation you could tell me in advance and help me cancel my reservation right? You cannot just waste my time and deceive me! Ill go to Sixt or Hertz next time for sure and my friends will never ever go to Avis to rent a car again either. You lost our business! So disappointed!

Too much to tell - Shameful Avis from the top to the bottom at this location. First, I paid Uber to take me from the airport to this location after Avis confirmed my reservation via email AND via phone. Once I got there, Lourdes at the desk said they had no car because I hadnt made my reservation 24 hr before-its their policy. She claimed it stated this on my email (does not) and when I questioned her she said no, on the website (never could tell me where). So no car for me and no refund for my Uber trip.Over the course of the next four hours while I sat at Avis waiting for my 80year old father who now had to drive 2hrs to pick me up, I heard Lourdes repeat this line to at least 8 other customers who they lied to by confirming car reservations only to get to the store and be told no cars were available. Initially I thought it was the system that was the problem because when I called headquarters they said the problem was that managers werent updating the system, so it showed car availability when there really were no more cars. While that is true, I also witnessed Lourdes willfully mislead clients into thinking the reason they couldnt get a car was because of some fault of their own....They either made reservations within 24 hours which is too late (though Im quite sure if there was a lot full of cars, I could walk in at 2, and leave with a car by 2:05- forget policy if there is one) or they were late for their arranged pick up time. When in fact, even people who made reservations well in advance, in one case pre paid, would not have had the car they reserved available -even if they arrived on time.I know because I was there for four hours and they ran out of cars at 12:15. At 3 and 5 when clients came in saying they had a reservation at 12, Lourdes said oh well youre late so theres nothing I can do...lie! Had nothing to do with being late. Further, she was incredibly unhelpful! She offered solutions only to some people if she felt like it, and she kept giving out the phone number of a manager who was not answering the phone and whose voicemail was full. Then was surprised when a customer who had reserved a van a month in advance for his family and had no transportation available when he got there was upset. And all she could say was call my manager-knowing he would not reach her.She even tried to give one customer the wrong number for the manager and withheld the national complaint phone number from another. The whole operation was so slick and slimy and clearly money grubbing it was almost comical if it werent so infuriating. I was supposed to have a car at 12, be home to see my Dad by 2 pm. It is now 8pm and my Dad and I are still on the road. Time we have with family is precious and it is disheartening that you took advantage of me and other customers. You need to do better - from the top down to the bottom up. Start by being honest, transparent about the situation, helpful in any way you can be and sympathetic to the plight of your customers. Just try.

Do not use this place! Rude woman and very expensive in comparison to other places. I made a reservation a month in advance and when I got there they said that they didnt have it and the woman was trying to sell us on a completely different car for even more money. Horrible place.

My car was reserved and paid for online, they asked for a major credit card to put on hold in case something happen, when i returned the car it was charged again to my credit card, its been 12 days and still no signs of me getting my credit back. they didnt have the car i reserved and tried giving me a mini van, then they came up with a car that someone came to return as i was there and gave it to me completely dirty and smelling like cigarettes, I WILL NEVER rent there again.

Slack. Booked car online from Italy for 10 days. Once in miami we went to the place and asked if we could take it for 3 days more than those booked d they gave us a price for the additional 3 days greater than what we had paid for 10 days. We were told it was so bad that we gave up. We had booked a passat or similar model and they gave us a Kia Soul that had a tiny trunk and there would be no 2 suitcases and a stroller. He told us that it was just because we had paid for that model but from the site it wasnt. They gave us a car with a larger trunk (a passat) and charged us an extra $ 12.99 a day. To conclude, on delivery, the Avis (always her) squabble as always took the car keys and closed without allowing us to take things behind the trunk. Dont go to that place. Courtesy and kindness towards the zero customer.

Everything is very efficient, both when taking the car, as well as when returning. I only had one drawback, because I wanted to pay with another card and go back to the main counter upstairs The GM Terrain car was a hell of a pickup and I have no complaints / observations to make
