Renting a car from this agency was a really good experience. The car was ready for pick up as scheduled. Paperwork was completed quickly and we were on our way in no time.The car was clean and in excellent condition. When we dropped the car off, it was just as simple as the pick up. The billing was clear: NO HIDDEN FEES as other companies do. Thank you very much for a great experience!

Awesome customer service and the wait for the car was not long at all. They actually upgraded me to a bigger car that I didn’t need but I worked with it. All the sales rep were nice and made the experience very easy. I will definitely rent from them again. The prices are reasonable and because I went to Miami the car rental was in the airport so that made it even easier. Nice employees and fast service.
Reviews for Miami rental cars are a little scary. I can tell you that Advantage took care of us on a recent trip. I had rented an economy for the price, bit it turned out to be too small. We were able to upgrade at a VERY reasonable cost, with nothing but polite and professional customer service. A big thanks to Advantage!

There is a singular human working his hardest to process each guest at the speed of 27 mins a person. The system would be better run by a collection of ants. I’m in a line of 12 people. Googling how to build a car.

2 hours in line with reservation just only 3 People in front of me because this employee did nothing but give his worst customer service to all customers.It was literally insane how bad this experience was. And at the end he did not allow me to go through my reservation because I did not have a utility bill to prove my residence and obligations to take their insurance.

The absolute worst car rental I have ever used. When we got to the rental stand the guy told us we didnt have a car even though we booked it in advance. He told us to use a better reservation service. He told multiple people this so they all left angrily so we ended up getting one of their cars. It legitimately took us 2 hours to get a car when there were 2 people in front of us. Additionally, a man came while we were getting our car to pick his up and the customer service worker named Hector told him he didnt have his car. When he booked it online. Yet Hector asked me what color car I wanted so they had extra cars and would not give it to the people who had reservations. The customer service worker Hector was incredibly rude and not accommodating at all. Do not use this car rental service.
Amazing service but there is a lot of discrimination for the people that live n Miami got my reservations from expedía and supposedly say unlimited miles then i got to this place and they explain to me that for locals is diferente you have a limit dont rent here if you lic is from miami.
Our experience with this location at the airport was literally a nightmare. It was so bad we actually thought we were being pranked. Just to give you a brief snippet but by no means all of what we went through, they asked for us to give them our electric bill when we got there to pick up the car to “prove” we were locals. Who carries their electric bill with them when they go out? What? Instead, we asked them to use our Driver’s License which had our local address to “prove” that we were locals, and they said no not good enough. Once we realized that they were serious and weren’t trying to troll us, we tried to work with them to find a solution to get our car as we had been already waiting forever and they kept denying us our rental. There was one individual at the front named Hector who acted all “understanding” at first but then flipped a switch on us and became extremely unprofessional. I won’t even mention here what was said to us as we left. We have rented from several rental places before and have truly never had such a bad experience. Run...

Terrible company. They tried to upsell me on a bunch of services and once I declined everything it feels they made up an excuse to not let me rent a car after 1 hour waiting.They refused to accept my credit card because my first name was abbreviated... Talk about inclusivity... As a hispanic, my name is rather large thats just how it is and it doesnt always fit.
Horrible experience, 1 sales associate for 2 hours.I waited on line for 2 and half hours,and I was 3rd on line.When I finally reached the counter Hector was sales associate who was very unhelpful and rude.Told me that my reservation was expired and asked me why did I choose a time that didn’t work for me after he had me waiting in line for over 2 hours, and told me that he didn’t not make wait. ( reservation expired while waiting in line)Proceeded to tell me that he could not give me a car due reservation expiring.I called the office number made a complaint and they rescheduled my pick up time, for the same dayI refuses to get back online to wait another hour. So magically another sales associate appears and I walk straight to his counter.Waldene was very helpful and pleasant. He assisted me with no problem. Even gave recommendations on places to visit during my stay. He managed to put a smile on my face after the frustration I had dealing with his colleague .

But we had an awesome experience especially with the front desk the guy was taking care of us in a very professional manner and rally friendly! This place should have less than three stars! Got here before 8:30 p.m. and it is currently 9:30 and I am still in line just to get to the counter and be able to get my rent a car. Horrible service and the slowest service Ive ever dealt with. I literally went to four different rental car companies May the lines got quotes got out and my wifes still didnt move. Definitely do not come here and get a rental car unless you plan on being in line for an hour plus! P.S. make sure to bring a chair with you if you do come. It is clear you get what you pay for. Next time I will pay the hire rates!
First time was last week. We spent 2h waiting for our car because only one person is working at one of the four desk in the airport.Same ting today. One employee. The lineup is way longer. Will probably spend more then 2h waiting.
I really wanted to write this review to thank them who works at Miami Advantage Rent A Car... I lost my bag and other stuff that was left in the car but they kept them safe for me! I found my bag and I am ever so grateful. Rentalwise, they were awesome, kind and helping too. I got exactly what I expected, the car was clean and new and working well. Return was easy and fast. I was scared that my deposit was held for some time because I paid with a debit card, but no extra charge was applied and I safely got it back. Overall I had no problems in any aspect and would definitely visit again.
Total SCAM and FRAUD. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I was given damaged car. Inspection report was given to me before i got car so I signed it thinking that post trip inspection with damage noted on there was from previous renter. When returning car nobody was there I dropped key in the box and then couple days later received call saying that i hit car and that they have vehicle inspection signed by me stating that there is damage. The same inspection that was given to me before i got the car. So that car was given to me in order to scam me. I was at bussines trip waited 3h to get car just to get scammed. it’s sad that that’s way they have their damaged car’s repaired. Better pay a little bit more to any other rental company just to not have to deal with this kind of problem because believe me IT’S NOT WORTH OF STRESS.
Deserves negative. We got to the counter and no one was here. Waited about an hour and no one even answered the corporate number. Then finally a guy shows up who was snarky and rude to all of that had been waiting in line. It was like he really wanted us to leave and go somewhere else. We kept asking about how long it would take to get our car and he just said, I dont know. I asked does it take 3 minutes to check someone in or 2 hours? He said, I dont know. It depends. And he for real laughed about it.
Worst car rental ever. Waiting in line for 2 hours only to walk somewhere else and rent from a different car company. They only had 1 person working and he was as slow as they come. Another female employee came out after 1.5 hours of waiting and then instead of helping others in line she literally just stood there, actually just ignored people asking for help. Thats when I walked away and rented elsewhere. Horrible all the way around. Would never do business with them again.
Went to pick up car rented through Budget and the line was very very long! At least 2 hour wait. Went to Advantage nobody in line, guy said they had cars and 20 minutes later was pulling out of the garage in their rental car. Super friendly great place and will rent from again!!
This place is a scam and the service is terrible. When booking online it tells you one thing but when you go to check in there is is obligatory insurance policy that you must get, which is more than the rental of the car. When you speak to their customer service they state that you don’t have to get the insurance and the rude guy at the front states you do. Overall very unclear and unprofessional. Do not book at the Miami airport location. I don’t know about the others.
I had the most efficient and pleasantly funny experience at this Advantage rental counter. The agent left me speechless by answering any and all questions up front and all I had to do was laugh and grab the key and pick up the car.

Whatever you do, take proof of insurance, or you’ll pay about $50 a day, no choice. The woman behind the counter was actually good, and car was fine. However, they were short staffed, and because of their inane rule pertaining to insurance, many people that got to the front of the line we’re trying to call someone that could provide the info they were insisting on. I won’t be using them again.
We now have our favorite rental company. We rented in Miami, FL and had a great experience. The agent was kind, the car was clean and the return was a breeze all at a great price.
Before reading my review if you see that this place has above 3 stars don’t believe it. A couple of weeks ago this place had 1.5 on google reviews and now magically its showing it has 3.5 with a number of new reviews giving them 5s. This company pays for good reviews. If you want a true reading of this company search them up on Yelp where they can’t alter their reviews. Below is my experience with them.I’d give this place a negative star if I could. This is hands down the WORST rental car company I’ve ever dealt with. I booked through Kayak and had a pick up time of 2:00pm. They said they had cars in stock at that time which they so clearly did not upon arrival. I arrived at 2:00pm sharp and there was a huge line of people waiting to talk to the guy at the counter. There was only one guy working as well, on a Saturday mid day at peak hours! There was also one desk so whoever rented this space out and was building it was clearly not thinking ahead. The people in line I had talked to had been waiting there for 2-3 hours already. People were yelling at the man telling them they were ready to leave because they had been waiting for a car since morning (their pickup time). Advantage had no cars available! There was also a list / backlog of 15 people on it waiting for a rental car that should’ve been ready and available AT PICK UP TIME. This company made me wait 2.5 hours for a damn car and once they told me they finally had one available they said they couldn’t rent it out to me because I was a local. Excuse me? No where while booking did it say that and at no point during the 2.5 hours of waiting did the man tell me even after speaking to him MULTIPLE times. They then asked me if I had an electric or gas bill to prove I was a local and then they’d rent it out to me even after saying they don’t rent to locals. I’m sorry but who carries an electric bill with them? After I said no I asked to speak to the manager and I could hear her on the other end of the line arguing with the employee repeatedly saying “why does she want to speak with me” because she didn’t want to talk to me. Um I wanted to talk to you because you had no rental cars available even after saying you did, and made me wait 2.5 hours just to tell me you finally have one available but you won’t rent to me! After persuading I got them to rent me a car, but what went from a price of $560 for a week they slapped on so many fees and hidden costs, told me unlimited mileage was no longer available unless I paid a high fee per day (even though that’s what I had originally booked with and was included in the cost) and I ended up paying $1000. The rental car I received was damaged and the interior had sticky residue of food all over the controls and on the ceiling of the car. It smelled so bad I had all the windows down. I saw their computer and they had 11 cancellations that day from people giving up from waiting for a freaking car. People who had been waiting since 10am and finally received a car at 4pm cancelled because the car was damaged. Some people after waiting all day were told they had no cars available and to come back tomorrow. I chose this car company because it was “cheap” but never again will I ever make that mistake since it ended up costing me the same as it would’ve if I went with enterprise or hertz. At least they would’ve had better service and I would’ve gotten the car ON TIME. The staff are rude and unprofessional and hate the company just as much as their customers do. This is the cricket wireless of rental car companies. Avoid!
DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY!Stayed in Miami last week on vacation from the Military, decided to use this car rental company. 1 week later, received 2 separate bills for $54.75 and $15.62. After further review & inquiries to their office, staff mentioned that we were never issued an EZ Pass/ Sun Pass/ Toll Pass and that we were being billed for a “toll violation” because we declined the EZ pass.We clearly did not decline this option as we initially inquired about an EZ pass and was granted such opportunity through a gentleman by the name of “Lucas”, who told us that we will be charged a $10 fee up front for the EZ pass of both of our rentals.Worst car rental company. They’re just out to get your money.The front desk receptionist clearly walked us through every detail of the rental cars, insuring us that we will get an EZ pass and did not need to worry about the tolls. He even jokingly said to take all the tolls that you would like to because everything will be covered. Now I see that he clearly only cared about the money instead of the customer service. NEVER AGAIN...!
The value is awesome, much cheaper than the big players. Just be aware if your drivers licence is international they make you pay an obligatory 14 dollar/day coverage, which is complete bullsh%%.

CUSTOMER BEWARE: Fraud on almost every levelI rented a car from Advantage for a business trip and was told by Maria, the lady at the counter, that the two optional services (EZ-Toll and Supplemental Liability Insurance) they offered were mandatory even though, again, they were categorized as optional. Her justification for the mandatory EZ-Toll was due to most of Florida’s roadways having toll services that no longer accepted cash. Her justification for the liability insurance being mandatory was that it was a service that automatically came with the rental car.After my trip, my financial auditor asked me why I purchased two optional services, to which I explained the two services were briefed to me as mandatory. I directly called Advantage customer support which led to nothing but attitude and carelessness from the first representative who kept cutting me off and finishing my sentences for me before flat-out hanging up mid-conversation. The second representative just answered sorry or no to all of my questions without even thinking about his responses.I filed a dispute against Advantage and they denied any accountability for their actions, as expected. Game on. I will begin the process of filing an official lawsuit against Advantage here shortly along with all my evidence. I will post updates here as they come.Crooked business practice, impressively mediocre customer service, and no sense of integrity on any level. You are better off taking public transportation or riding an old bicycle than you would be renting a vehicle from Advantage, a company that seriously needs to consider changing their name. Its no wonder they offer some of the cheapest rates in the MIA area; you get what you pay for. Also, try not to do business here unless you publicly record the entire interaction from start to finish.NOTE TO ADVANTAGE: Go ahead and continue lying on your financial dispute statements and rebuttals. I will happily drag this process on for decades if I must. This has got to be the worst place to rent a car from. I’ve been in line over two hours with only one attendant. If you have time be prepared to wait. Otherwise choose another major rental car. I rent car on a weekly basis. This is the worst ever.
Beware!! Sounds crazy but all true and not even all here. I wish I could give a ZERO! This place is hideous. We and many others were forced to wait in line for hours (not exaggerating, HOURS!!) WITH reservations, only to be told that there were no more cars available. After continuing to wait, since there werent any other vehicles available nearby, one was finally returned. So we waited an additional half hour for it to be cleaned by the same guy who does the rentals, meaning there is only one person working! Finally, it comes time to check out and we are told that since we live in the area, we have to have a utility bill with us in order to rent. When I asked where it says it on the website, I was told it doesnt. So I asked where the policy says it, I was told he doesnt know. Finally, we are told that there is a restriction on miles even though our reservation clearly says unlimited mileage!!! Beware! Beware!!
Worst experience renting a vehicle ever. We reserved a mini van and was given a piece of junk sequoia. It didn’t even fit out family of 6, plus luggage. We traveled with my sister who also made a reservation and they didn’t even have a vehicle for her. What a joke. If you don’t want to ruin your vacation DO NOT RENT FROMTHEM. This business is disturbing and a complete scam, rip off. Vehicle is unclean and not in working order.

ZERO stars! Customer service horrible. Fees added on last minute hiking up the price. Counter lady was okay, but the lady who gave me the keys in the parking garage was TERRIBLE. Attitude with eye rolling and neck rolling included. PLUS, attached are photos of the actual car they gave me. Extensive damage before I even drove off the lot. Disgusting representation of a company dealing with paying customers. I requested a different car. Was told there were none, then they found one, but it was already rented to someone else. Umm... Why wouldnt I receive the car of my choice since I was there in person at that moment? Youre saving a decent car for a different customer who was not there at the time, who may or may not even show up at all. Even if this was THE ONLY car avail, I couldnt even get a discount or an upgrade because of the condition of this car??? I was told for an upgrade, to go all the way back up to the office at the airport for the upgrade, but that I would have to pay for it.Fog light missing, hub cap missing, scratches all along the back bumper, large scratches and gashes along the R and L back corners, scratch and dent on drivers side doors, plus the car was FILTHY, as pictured. Again, an absolute DISGUSTING representation of a company dealing with paying customers. This shows what they really think of their customers. I wouldnt use this company again even if the car was free.

Confirmation indicates one price but at the place they asks for obligatory insurance coverage which cost is more than the whole rental cost. In addition to this you will spend a lot of time in a line even if a couple people in front of youDont recommend that place!

Waldene was very helpful and patient. The only attendant with a long line of customers waiting. Management should properly staff during high demand hours. I had to switch vehicles due to bad cleaning. A good value overall, if you can be patient (1 hour waiting).
In airport office, not the bests cars but ran good, take your car and drop it off with no person contact other than agent that gives you the paper work and keys. Take pictures at the pickup point of any damage just in case..make sure your cell adds date and location to your pictures. Good prices..
Honestly, Advantage Rent A Car makes Comast looks like the most customer friendly company that has ever existed.Im just glad we didnt have a serious emergency or else we wouldve been SOL. We had a basic question and after calling for what seemed like an hour, somehow we managed to get to a live rep who hung up after 5 seconds..Why would I ever use this company again when theres Enterprise? At least I can talk to a real person at Enterprise!PLEASE DONT RENT HERE!!!!

Waited 4 hours in line. Terrible experience, many extra charges and fees added on. Car was filthy and smelled like smoke when we received it, but we had no choice but to take it because the other two vehicles available had damage (broken mirrors, hanging bumpers, etc) I would never rent from here again. Still charging my card for tolls when we paid the daily toll pass up front and I had to cancel the card because of this company.

Gentlemen, who help me with rental process was really competent and he provided useful advises to me.I got full amount of rental deposit within 24 hours after drop off without any surprisesSo it was my best car rental experience for a past year at least.

By far the worst car rental place of all times. This company should be put out of business, seriously! The representative have no concept of professional customer service behavior. They just do not care. The one guy threatened me into $35.00 toll expense, that I did not need. Horrible experience! Then the representative to give the car keys, was on his phone, didn’t car to explain or say anything. Then he tried to have me sign document stating no scratches or dents, when there were, luckily I was smart enough to say let me look at the car first. He was such a pure breed idiot! Last, the car! It’s so filthy, stink and horrible! I’m so freakin grossed out. There are stains and trash crumbles everywhere. I could throw up, I can not wait to get back to my state in my own luxury vehicle. I will not every rent from this car rental again. The only reason I didn’t cancel and go to my usual place is because I paid and couldn’t recoup my money so I had to bit the bullet. Next time I’ll take my chances on foot before this experience happens again. I will be letting the thousands in my network know, and I will be writing higher ups. This is awful and if you look at the reviews, there’s not one good experience, NOT ONE! I rate this a -100 but I had to give one star to post this. Doesn’t even deserve a one star.

I Paid 900 for a rental for the week an they held my 250 deposit...when I returned they keep 150 from my deposit, I returned the car clean an on full. They never answered again! That was bad for business.
Very poor place. I had reservation for about a week and when I called to confirm my car today they told me there are no cars available. He said try calling back tomorrow. If I needed car tomorrow I would have reserved it for the 9th. Therefore I may have to cancel my hotel in Orlando ( I will be stuck paying for because to late to cancel). I thought reservations are to reserve the car you need for that period of time. If I were to cancel my reservation 3 hours before I had to pick it up they would charge me fee.

They had the wrong pickup time transferred from orbitz... then said my reservation was canceled because we were 5 hours “ late”... and said there was nothing they could do. Does it get any worse than that?

I rented a car for my 21 birthday which was 10/28. I got a 2020 nissan versa so cute. My first option was a big problem soo I came and here got the car in less then 20min. I also kept the car an extra day and they were totally fine with it. Not a lot of workers; but the ones that were there were helpful. Well it was really only one dude I forgot his name but He needs a raise lol. But They also gave me my deposit back before I even returned the car! The reviews had me worried as well but it’s worth it. ALSO someone stole my license plate at the beach and they were willing to give me a new car! didn’t need one but it was nice they offered anyways!

The car was filthy, inside and out. The car had smelled like a wet dog. I hadnt realized it at first because they bombed the car with a really strong fragrance to hide the animal smell. It was truly a disgusting experience for me. Here are some photos of the way the car looked when it was first given to me, it was difficult to notice at first because the area where you pick up the rentals are is in a garage with very poor lighting. Every time I got out of the vehicle, I felt like I needed a shower. My family and I were sneezing the entire trip due to the animal smell or the fragrance they used to cover it up. Awful experience, I would never rent with them again.

This place is TERRIBLE!! My car wouldn’t change gears on time. I couldn’t go back to the airport in rush hr traffic to switch out the car. My rental agreement said I owed $0. When I returned the car, they charged me an extra hour fee of $45 for the 19 minutes that I had to wait for an employee to get my car. When the lady came, she said she would email me my receipt. I will never do that again! I tried calling for a refund, they were no help, there are no managers, and now I’m supposed to wait 48 hrs for them to investigate, instead of just refunding me back my money. They are all a scam!

Ive rented with them the past few vacations and its always a fast process and Ive gotten reliable new cars. William who works the graveyard shift is very helpful and has me in and out. Hes taken care of me more than twice, always fast and friendly.
Had a reservation on July 31st . Get to their location at 10:50 am and there are 2 customers being helped. End up getting to the counter only around 11:20 after which I am told there is only a minivan available. I had booked a full size. When I mentioned to the person I don’t fit in a minivan (I am 6’6”) he was surprised and questioned me as to how I don’t fit in a mini-van but can fit in a full size. I walked away having wasted 45 mins and getting delayed for a meeting I had flown into miami for.
We use Advantage every time we go to Miami. Liked dealing with them... until now. My wifes flight got delayed and didnt get in until midnight so we needed to extend the rental one more day. Paid $30.00 a day for the rental and the website shows current price of $30.00 but they said if we want to extend it for another day they will do it for $78.30! Theyre trying to take advantage of us. They say if we didnt want to pay the much higher extension price we can drive back to the airport we can get the current $30.00 rate. Why would they make us go through that inconvenience? Long story short, although the main customer service number said there was nothing anyone can do (even spoke with a supervisor), a nice guy at the Miami location said he can and he helped us.
Did not refund $250 as deposit
I was skeptical b/c I was unfamiliar with this car rental agency which I booked thru Priceline that wouldn’t tell me their name until after I booked my reservation. I was pleasantly surprised. There was no-wait, it was located at the airport and they had my car ready within 15min of checking in at the front desk. Car was clean inside and out. No complaints. Will definitely book with them again.
I hate this place. I make a reservation with them on time and they not help me. They say not have a car for me and I can wait two hours. Then someone spoke with the manager and they trying to charging me more money more than $300 for two day. They think I am stupid. They trying to take advantage of you . if we no rent a car there they not make a money. The location I went is in the aeropuerto of Miami Florida. The employees suck......I don’t recommend all all. I put one star because I want to put this comment. But my rate for this place will be -0
I had a reservation, but this place left me stranded at 2:30 am with my 4 year old son and all our luggage. They told me to go out and get a taxi, then bring a taxi back the next morning to pick up a car. After I heard them tell the same thing to 4 other people in about 15 minutes, I realized this was a joke. We stood outside and waited for 20 minutes but there were no taxis running this early in the morning where they told us to stand. We walked back in and got a phone number to call for a taxi, which took entirely too long and was rather expensive for the 3 mile ride. If you want a good experience, skip this place and head over to Family Auto Rental, that place saved our vacation! In the meantime Advanced, you owe me $25 for that taxi and an hours worth if sleep.
I booked a rental car through advantage rental car service 2 weeks prior to my need to use it. I booked a mid-size sedan to be picked up at 9am on January 24th and to be returned at 8pm the same day. I got to the kiosk to pick up my car and was told they were out of cars and didn’t have anything available at the time (despite my previous reservation). We were told the only options for rentals would be to 1) wait two hours for the next rental car to become available or 2) rent a 12 passenger van at no additional cost. The man at the desk was not only unhelpful, but also never once took his AirPods out of his ears or tried to do anything to help us. Obviously the situation was not his fault, but he never once offered any sort of apology on behalf of Advantage or offered other rental agencies that may be able to help us. He told us it was because of the Super Bowl that they were overbooked (SB not for another 2 weeks). We ended up cancelling our reservation and getting a car with another kiosk at the rental car center. I’m so disappointed by both the lack of ability to fulfill my reservation as well as the complete disregard of customer service we were met with. Avoid Advantage at all costs.
Long wait almost 1 hour
Coming from the gate, I had difficulty locating just where to go for rental cars - signage needs to be more clear (not Advantages fault, but the airports.). Once I found the correct location in the airport, I was waited on very efficiently and in a timely fashion. The car itself was very nice, a KIA Soul. The back hatch area was not washed, but the rest of the car was clean inside and out. Coming back to the airport rental car return area, the signage was VERY clear as to where to go. Once in the garage, I wasnt quite sure where to actually leave the car, as there was no one to direct me, so I parked it in the closest spot and walked up to the little hut I rented it from; she told me where I needed to park the car, so I got back in the car and drove to the area in which she said to park it - they checked me in - zip zap!
Car rental rates were unbeatable at Advantage and there were no crazy surcharges to modify my reservation. My sales clerk was courteous and helpful in a timely manner. i will recommend Advantage to friends and family;
