I used to LOVE coming here, but I am not very happy with my nails since my last visit...first, it was a booked bridal party...and nobody from the salon thought to mention they still require masks, which is fine but considering Shelby County is no longer under a mask ordinance some of the party didnt have masks and those of us who did was simply due to happenstance, anywho I got gel, which usually lasts about 2 weeks for me...I got my nails done Friday and by Sunday I already had a HUGE chip plus the edges on some of my nails are lifting and I have dead/dry skin ALL around my nails still...not to mention they charged me $55, but another bridesmaid who got the SAME thing was charged $50? Very frustrating to pay $55 for nails that lasted a few days..Im so so disappointed.**Update...its been 1 week since my services and 4 nails have completely peeled off... 😡

I looked to Google reviews to find this gem! I originally bought a gift card for my best friend to get a manicure 2 months ago. The online process was simple and it sent him a personalized virtual gift card by email. Super cool! He held on to the gift card and decided that we could go together on my next visit from Texas. We scheduled an appointment for 2 pedicures and his manicure. The receptionist called and confirmed our appointment 30 min prior to our arrival. When we arrived the staff was very friendly and sweet. This was his first time getting a mani and pedi and he was very impressed. The environment is very relaxed and following Covid precautions. We will make this our go to Nail Bar :)

I have been a returning client here for months. Initially I experienced very inconsistent nail quality. After a bit of trial and error I have found that if I request designs that my nails are done by the owner/manager and that my nails are far nicer and truly last a full 2 weeks. When at my appointment today, I asked simply out of curiosity how could I avoid having to wait 15-25 minutes past my appointment time before having services started, as I have for several visits. I was told that 5 people are booked for the same time slot and if I wanted to avoid the wait I could get here 5-10 minutes before my appointment time to be the first out of the 5 people to check in for the time slot. I then questioned how to book the first available time slot for my preferred date of service and was told “I don’t know. We book out months in advance and cannot help how busy we are.” Naturally, one would think that if you’re an appointment only salon that you COULD control the level of traffic/business. I was not a disgruntled or complaining customer, therefore shouldn’t have been met with comments like “Well, I’m just the receptionist and can’t do anything about that. You can talk to the manager if you want.”

The woman who did my services, who did not tell me her name, was very rude. She was so in a rush to do my services it made me fell so unwelcome! I just don’t understand how you could ever have a repeat clientele when you are just mean to them. I was looking to be pampered and feel relaxed, but this was just so stressful! I am looking for a nail salon downtown, but I will never go back here. ☹️

Best nail place in Memphis hands down. Def worth the drive if you don’t live downtown. I had seen a creative nail pic on Pinterest and explained what it looked like b/c I failed to take a screen shot and the girl nailed it the 1st time. I get dip powder on my nails and I’ve had it done at so many places where it’s too thick b/c they don’t smooth it down enough or any at all. This place knows how to do it right the 1st time and they are very creative at what they do as you can see. Love the current movies they play on 4 large tv screens as well as the adult drinks. I def plan to be a continued regular at the Nail Bar & Co.

I absolutely adore her. She remembers me and everything I’ve ever told her.Robbie is also a gem. He’s very personable, genuine, and kind.Nick is extremely talented, patient, and kind. The night before thanksgiving, he took his time with my nails, making me feel really special. He cared more about my birthday than I did.Truly, you never know what a person is going through and the smallest gesture goes as looong way.Not only do I feel better because my nails are did (hair flip) but also because The Nail bar & it’s employees shows me so much love.Thank you. I have been to the salon three times and will continue to fo to The Nail Bar. The main reason I love it is I can make an appointment. The receptionist is extremely friendly and once she has you seated offers you something to drink... the mimosas are wonderful. My nails have been done by three different technicians and they have all been great. They were very professional and friendly. They ensured I was comfortable and asked what I wanted. I highly recommend The Nail Bar...best service Ive had in years.

Appointment only, which isnt bad if they ran on time. Cute place, however, nails arent always done the best. Sometimes theyll rush through just to get them done. It also seems as though they pick and choose who to talk to here, and arent always very inviting to all customers. I now have chosen to go somewhere else after a few tries here.

Got my nails done there and they lasted 3 days.... I didn’t even do anything they just legit came off and I didn’t even notice! It’s like they weren’t even glued on. Guess that explains why they have 1 nail tech for TIPS. I even got dip over it. Never seen such a brittle nail job.

I have only been here a couple times, but it’s the best job I’ve seen. I went to the harbor town location. I wish they weren’t so expensive, but I’ve been around to other salons around Memphis, and this one is exceptional.

My daughter goes here every other week for nails and pedicure. They do a great job. She absolutely loves going

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR WEEKENDS. This is literally the only place that I like going to get my nails done. The staff is the kindest group of people you could ever ask for. Appointments are necessary if you want to be seen on weekends, especially for groups. They take walk-ins when there is time, but you’ll probably be standing around waiting for several hours with no guarantee of a slot. I’ve always made appointments and had no issue with being seated in a relatively timely manner.

I’m only giving 2 stars because the young lady that checked me in was super sweet. I was in Memphis for my daughters College graduation so I went here because my daughters HIGHLY recommended this place! I wasn’t surprised when I entered by the crowd because this must be the GO TO SPOT! Unfortunately, the quality of work was LESS than expected! My nails were bulky and NOT what I asked for!! When we were checking out the young lady asked me How was my first visit, I told her that my nails were bulky and that it wasn’t what I asked for, I showed her a photo of what I wanted which was a SIMPLE NEUTRAL NAIL! No design, no extra color just a simple natural look, they still charged me $85 and just a week later I had to go to a shop where I live to get it fixed! I can say without a doubt that I would probably NEVER go here again! And if I do it would have to be on a day when they are not busy and there aren’t any big events going on, and not on the weekends!

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.....The polish dont last long. Cheap job for a high cost. The first time, I let it slide and went back. No different. I live in Harbor Town and I say Dont Waste Your Money Here!!To many other places with better quality.

The girl who started to give me a pedicure left me Right in the middle! She had already started to paint my nails and never even rubbed my feet. The guy who took over was super nice but this is unacceptable!

I had a great experience. The staff was friendly and they were very accommodating. They brought me a glass of ice water with lemon and strawberries, and they listened to what I wanted, unlike some other places where they just start giving you a manicure and dont even speak to you. Since they charge the same as other places, I dont even know why you would go anywhere else when this is so much better. I will only go here from now on.

Went to saddle creek location. Thinking it was going to be very nice and the people would be very welcoming. Or that is what I expected since they JUST opened. Well, if you want your money’s worth for your nails, go somewhere else. Made an appointment for tips with dip and pedi. Walked in and instantly felt judged. I told them i had an appointment and they confirmed i just wanted dip. I said no, i wanted tips as well. They acted like it was a huge deal and said they had 1 person in the whole shop that does TIPS, and I then had to sit down and WAIT! They also don’t do shellac on tips. So that’s even MORE $$$. Then, the nail tech was judging my choice of design then said, “well it’s your nails, whatever.” like... WOW! Plus, that was all $89. After this I was like, well at least they look good. but I kid you not, 2 days AFTER TWO NAILS FEEL OFF!!!! It is very thin and brittle. They did not do a good job at all. They never offered me color choices or anything. I was very uncomfortable.

I didnt like the service. I assumed because of the location it will be pleasant but it wasnt. Of course I will not return. Plus the polish on my toes came off after the nail tech check and told me it was dry.

I came in at 9:30 and I was told they were not open until 10, so I waited to be the first person at opening and am currently in the chair now still at 12:51p.m. The scenery is relaxing, however I was not offered a beverage but the Caucasian lady whom sat next to me was. After having my pedicure and manicure, I noticed my toe polish looked distorted after being under the nail dryer. My nail tech had “Dina” to assist with me and add an extra coat of polish to my toes and she was VERY RUDE as well as cut me off and had a nasty attitude that didn’t change until I mentioned that I’d be making this review. Probably not a place I would revisit.

I came in for a walk in appointment this afternoon around 6:00 pm. Upon checking in I was told it would be around 30 minutes until I could be seen. I felt this was reasonable for a walk in pedicure on a Friday night so I left to get a snack and came back at 6:30. When I got back at 6:30 I was asked to wait and was told a chair would be available shortly. At 7:15 I still hadn’t been seen and when I went to leave the receptionist seemed surprised that I was frustrated with having to wait so long. Unfortunately I can’t speak to the quality of their service since I didn’t receive any but I will they definitely have work to do in how they communicate with clients. I would like to think that my experience was unrelated to the fact that I am an African American woman, but based on other reviews of this salon by other African American women; my experience appears to be part of a trend in how this business treats women like me

It was ok. Took my appointment and was really quick, however the girl would do very thin coats. So I didnt like that and didnt go all the way down the sides.

Nail staff can be a bit...involved & opinionated in customer conversations, but overall a very professional and pleasant environment. Love the wine or champagne option - definitely a perfect way to relax while being pampered. Bring cash for tips because you cant do that with cards for some reason!

I would have loved to come here regularly, as I just moved to Mud Island. I made my appointment at 3. Didnt even get sat until 3:30. The work was extremely rushed and the lady complained about how busy they were the whole time. The work was acceptable though. But less than 24 hrs later, my nail broke! Theyre acrylics and theyre short. They shouldnt break, especially a day afterwards! Had to go back for them to fix it... My nails are square, they come straight out. She very obviously curved the broken nail in and made it a coffin shape and much shorter than the others! I was severely disappointed and wont be going back or recommending them.

100% the best manicure Ive ever gotten. The attention to detail on just my basic mani was outstanding, and didnt feel rushed. Im from Missouri and was checking out the neighborhood, stopped in to make an appointment but they were able to get me in within 5 minutes. Everyone there was welcoming and kind. Next time Im in town, this will be my first stop!

I love nail bar! During the last two years I have gone to nail bar often. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. I almost always got shellac manicures. They put the shellac on in a way that ensures that they do not damage your nails. There is always a movie playing so you are always entertained and the full manicure comes with a glass of wine or a mimosa. I am moving from Memphis and it makes me so sad I will never be able to find such a great salon again.One note, Nail bar is pretty popular so make sure you call for an appointment, they can’t always take walk-ins.

I’ve waited a week now to post this review to allow Nail Bar & Co time to respond to the email that I sent them about my $70 (including tip) nail experience on Friday evening, July 12th.I left the Harbor Town location extremely disappointed in the luxury nail experience that I didn’t receive. I booked a Dip & Tip appointment. Which in the end looked like store press on nails vs luxury nails crafted to my unique hands. Every last nail is the same width, as if the tips used were not selected individually to match my nail size. I was so disappointed in how my nails looked that I wanted to soak them off as soon as I stepped into my car. The shape of my nails were terrible. I requested square-round, but received square-square.I know that most would say “why not express your dissatisfaction while there.” Well, its very awkward to do with people staring, listening and whispering whenever you speak a word in here. So I opted to send a private email to Nail Bar about my experience.I was also confused by the fact that I was charged $10 for “length” when the purpose of getting Dip with TIPS is to add length. Is the cost of the length not built into the $55 price of adding tips to a dip service? I visited four weeks ago and got Dip with Tips and was charged $5 extra for the coffin shape. If I knew I was going to be charged $10 extra for a standard nail shape I would’ve gotten coffin shaped nails. They probably would’ve turned out better than the disappointing shape I received.The first two times I came for Dip & Tip service, I had great experiences - done by the same tech. Absolutely loved my nails and the work was great. The last two times that tech was not been available to do my services, and my nails were subpar for the money spent.This particular visit topped the bar on quality received compared to the price paid.I hoped that my feedback would’ve been received well and understood. I just expect the price paid for a service to match the end product received.As of Monday morning, July 22nd, I still have not received a response from Nail Bar. So much for customer service and valuing all feedback.

This is my 1st review ever, but couldnt resist sharing my experience....I have no racist bone in me so this is an honest opinion...I really dont think the nailshop, nor the Harbor Town strip is intended for black customers. Im no menace to society, had legit money to spend, but the looks I received said enough. Oh and the nailshop was full of people, but I was told I needed an appointment so Im not sure how well their work is. However, I must say it appeared to be a great upscale shop for those whom they welcome.

This is the first time I have been to this salon. I recently moved onto the island, and had no doubt this would be a great place. I was wrong. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. The woman doing my nails said maybe three words to me. I was getting an acrylic refill, and she rushed through the entire thing. One of my cuticles is bleeding. There is gel nail polish on my skin. She also shaped my nails in a slightly crooked square shape, which is not what I wanted but how could she know that? She didn’t ask. I was in and out of the salon in 25 minutes. I am familiar with nail salons, and I have never felt so uncomfortable or rushed out. I am very disappointed because I think of getting my nails done as a treat to myself, and this was not a treat. If I could rate them a 0 star I would, but that is not an option.

I am a nail tech somewhere else in Memphis and I literally never have time to have a pedicure myself so when I had a lunch break today I made an appointment here for a pedi. I got the CBD pedicure at the Harbor Town Location and it was GREAT. The little collagen footies are super nice. The tech was amazing. I would have asked for a deeper massage but honestly I was so relaxed I didnt even need it. The salon is clean, it doesnt smell like acrylic when you hit the door. The implements were sanitized, the staff is super nice, the place was great. I could go on and on and on but seriously take it from a nail tech, THIS is THE spot yall.

These guys do a good job and the atmosphere is pretty cool. Only bad thing is in the two times Ive been there, the staff has been very unwelcoming. When you walk in they all just like stare at you and dont really make you feel welcome. Its so awkward.

Only 3 stars for the great job that the boy did in my hands and it was lovely, but I asked for a Lexu pedicure and I got the quick one, the person who treated me for my feet did not like me at all, so make sure when you change of personnel you specify what you want since it seems that there is no internal communication.

I came for a pedicure this morning, which was amazing. When I left, my toes had already messed up some how, maybe from the separators. I called, they told me to come up there, and she was going to fix them for me. They acted like it was no problem at all and then she suggested redoing them because it would be too difficult to just fix a few! (they were very messed up). she was so friendly and this is now my new nail salon as of today!!!

AMAZING nail salon experience! When I moved to Mud Island in 2011, I needed to get my nails done for a special occasion, so I went to Nail Bar. Since that special day, I have become a regular. I no longer live on Mud Island, but I will drive two to three times a month for my Shellac mani with a glass of Rosé; theres nothing better! Their staff has raised the bar when it comes to customer service - they are knowledgeable about new trends, colors and they treat you like family!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!I will never come here again. After walking into this place my spirit tried to warn me that this was not the place for me but I didnt listen. The lady that did my fill-in and pedicure was very very rude and unprofessional. From the time I sat in the chair til the finishing of my fill-in she was rough, nonchalant, and without any care of how she was treating me. She was so rough to the point she cut me with the filing board and wasnt being careful with the drill. The amount of money I spent on my service I deserved more and expected better customer service. Im not trying to make this a racial profiling experience but it sure in the hell felt like one. I was stared down not only by my tech but also an older Asian woman, in which made me so uncomfortable that every time she stared at me I would smile at her. I listened as every Caucasian person asked if they would like something to drink yet not once was I asked. I was never asked by my tech if I was comfortable, if she was hurting me, nothing!! I watched from the sink as she throw my shoes beside the chair I was sitting in, Ive always had them placed beside me. The killer of it all, she added her own tip to my ticket. So sad and pitiful. I actually sat in my car with tears in my eyes because I never in 30 yrs of my life have been treated the way I was treated here today.*I believe the techs name was Tina.This experience definitely messed up my day. I felt at any point she had an issue with providing services for an African American woman, she should have just said that. I would have felt better knowing that was the case. I would have politely waited on another tech.

I rarely give reviews, but I knew I had to once I heard a customer blurt out that she was going to be sure and give this nail salon a bad review. I have had manicure’s all over the Memphis area, from Collierville, Cordova, Germantown, East Memphis. This is by far the best experience hands down. From the current movies, mostly chick flicks or comedy, the adult beverages, and the attention to detail, this place knows how to help your relax and just chill. They have never made me feel rushed or like I was being herded through, in fact the lady who did my pedicure at my 2nd time visiting remembered me. I drive 20+ minutes for this relaxing pampered experience and always leave happy. I encourage you to make an appointment, especially if you plan to go on a Fri/Sat. Can’t wait for my next appt!

Until I found the Nailbar on the Island I had a subpar nail care experience that I had just accepted. The Nailbars commitment to excellence, comforting environment and ability to stay ahead of the trend are a few of the reasons why I continue to support. Very rarely do you find a business like this in the MidSouth that has built a quality brand.

The lady who was helping our bridal party initially was very kind, but the ladies who did two of us (manis and pedis) were VERY rude! We both paid for the biggest pedi and didnt even get a massage, then the ladies both had attitudes when it came to putting our feet in the paraffin wax. When my friend asked to have her shellac a certain way the lady wouldnt do it, so a guy had to come and fix it. When my shellac mani was done by another lady she cut my finger and didnt even apologize, and just completely walked off after the service, no thank you, how do you like your nails? Nothing. My sister in law brought in 10 of us and gave them a significant amount of business and Ill be sure to never go back. I worked in the service industry for years, and this is not how you treat people. I ALWAYS tip at least 25% and Ive never not left a tip, so this was my first time because I was very displeased when I left. If anyone is looking for a place that will treat you kindly, refer to you by name, and do an amazing job, try Splendid Nails in East Memphis!
