This place looks better than it is managed. It acts more like a city rec program demanding parents volunteer when we already pay a fortune for a subpar program. There are better gyms out there and worth the money, just not this one.

My daughters have been taking classes at Arete for a year now and we love it! We have seen so much improvement and our oldest now wants to complete. The teachers are so great and welcoming.

My kids have been in gymnastics here for years! Weve tried a few other gyms a little closer to home, but always switch and make the drive because the coaching and the programs are so much better. And I love the discipline they teach the kids. And the other kids and parents are the best too - its like my sons 2nd family. We love ARETE!

If your child is serious about gymnastics, this is not the gym for you. Some decent coaches but the business is not run well and communication is poor. Once we switched both of my kids thrived at their new gym. They have just one athlete that I know of that they trained that has made it to the collegiate level and she even left years ago to train in Texas.

My daughter Mia, absolutely love this gymnastics classes. She tried other gyms and only love Arete. She is so proud of being part of this name and quality of this gymnastics and couching. Thank you.

Right this second I have mixed thoughts. The 2 coaches I met that tried to help me to get my son to join back in seemed good. But I dont like how it was set up. I dont know if it is because of covid or just the way they do things. And after we left I found out that is why my son had a heard time. I was not able to walk my sons back or in to the area. My son said it was a big group. He did not understand what was going on or where to go or what to do while they from what I guess were waiting for the area the needed to be available. Then the viewing area is 2 smaller tv one for the whole big gym one for a smaller room. Mafe it a little harder to really watch as well as my son was expecting it to be able to still see me. And that overwhelmed him. So not bad just still unsure.

My daughter has been a gymnast at Arete Gymnastics for almost 7 years and I thought I would share my experience for those of you who are looking for a gym for your children. We have been to 2 other gyms prior to moving to Arete and all I can say is I wish I would have had her there from the beginning. The coaches care so much for the kids individually and their personal success. They are vested in each one and because I have been there for a while now I have been able to see the genuine care they have and true love for gymnastics. They know what they are doing and how to do it. The environment is positive and encouraging and the place to be if you want a positive and successful gymnastic experience for your child. I do wish I would have found them sooner but I am so grateful that we are there now.

My son loves his coaches and team mates at Arete. We had tried another popular gym in the area, but were dissatisfied with the over-crowding in the gym and lack of attention by many of the coaches. The boys coaches at Arete have been much more attentive and kind. They help the boys improve their skills, but do not make practices overly stressful or pressure-filled. We are very happy. My daughter absolutely loves her coaches and I love to see her so excited after every practice! She is learning new skills and building self confidence each practice!

I started bringing my girls here a month ago and they have already made so much progress! Even my 4 year old who couldn’t do much when we first came is now doing cartwheels! When we came in for an evaluation, I told the manager what I was hoping for in terms of class levels and scheduling, and she made it happen. My girls love coming here and I love watching them excel. I only wish we had found it sooner!

Arete Gymnastics is philosophically and fundamentally sound! They create an atmosphere where the gymnast grows physically, mentally and emotionally.The coaches are well -trained and extremely positive! Basics are coached well and perfected, allowing for a positive and safe environment as the gymnast builds upon their skills. Each gymnast is constantly engaged throughout the entire class, while loving every second of it!They truly create such a fun, positive and rewarding atmosphere! We couldn’t imagine going anywhere else!

Best gym around! Large facility with lots of equipment and space for parents to watch. Positive and uplifting environment and team coaches, which can sometimes be hard to come by. All ability levels from beginner up to elite. Absolutely recommend!

You always feel like part of the family when youre here. Great program that has given my daughter so much confidence.

My son essentially was kicked out because we switched our daughter from Arete to a another nearby gym.In their email, they mention that this dismissal is due to the competing gym having a policy that states children of the same family cant attend other gyms. We read the other gyms policies, no where is this mentioned. We asked the other gym over the phone and they said this is simply not true.After we switched, someone told us that the gym we switched to has placed many gymnasts by scholarship and that in their opinion, Arete is only concerned with finding the next Deanne Sosa.I cant say if this is completely true, but I can say that our experience seemed to reflect a petty attitude towards a competing gym.Im glad we switched and I hope this was all, somehow, a giant misunderstanding.

I have 2 daughters on the optional team at Arete. They love their coaches and teammates. The environment is safe and family friendly. The facility is much bigger than most gyms, allowing the gymnasts more turns on the equipment. The coaches-Dan, Jana, and JenYev are always positive and respectful. Their attention to detail and technique is outstanding...and it shows in my daughters meet scores. I would highly recommend Arete gymnastics!

Hands down most friendly family oriented gym in Utah! Love these guys. They have the best staff, great coaching techniques and they are so positive.

I have two children, both at Arete Gymnastics. They both absolutely love their time there. My oldest is on a competitive team and my youngest is a Level 1. The prices are much less than other gyms around and the coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. The environment is peaceful and family oriented. My Daughter is also always looking forward to competition season. The office ladies are very helpful in answering questions, and Sandy even welcomes my children each week with a huge :) My children are always wanting to stay longer... I love it here!!!

My little brother here has tumbled here for years and he loves every bit of it! Gymnastics and tumbling have taught him not only how to love having an active lifestyle, but a special kind a discipline as well. The staff has always been great and well qualified, with focus on the kids being the number one priority. I know the memories made with his coaches here are ones he will cherish for a lifetime! I love Arête!! My coaches are the best. They care about me, and want to help me get better. They help me over come my fears at my pace, and I have gained many fun skills because of them.

Love this place! My children have been going here for a year and they are doing hand stands, back hands springs, cartwheels and more. We are a big rock climbing family and we find gymnastics to be the perfect complement to it. The coaches at Arete are top notch!

We love Arete gymnastics! We have been so impressed. Our 6 yr old is in beginners gymnastics with Christian and he is so patient and great with the boys.

I am not big on writing reviews, but after the terrible experience I had, I felt it was necessary and hope to save someone else from a similar nightmare. If I could give 0 stars I would. This facility is unprofessional and greedy. They just keep adding and adding an overwhelming amount of kids and not enough coaches. They have a couple of good coaches, but recently have had a high turnover which greatly affected the gymnasts. If you have a concern, dont expect much to be done about it. If you have questions, be prepared to not have them answered. You will be treated poorly here. Save yourself and your child the drama and pick a different gym. They also charge all this money for every little thing (if you are on team) and then they expect all this volunteer time and donations or they charge you more if you dont volunteer. We wasted just about a year of our time and money at this facility. We are on to bigger and better things at a facility that actually has respect and cares for their gymnasts.

We just started at Arete about a month ago! We are really impressed and enjoy being able to watch from the parent view area. The Parkour class has been great for our son!

This gym is awesome! Love the atmosphere! Great place for kids to learn, and have fun in a safe, fun and friendly environment. My grand kids love it.

My daughter Trista is an 11 year old HOPES gymnast that will be testing Junior Elite this coming January (2016). Her coaches Dan and Jana, have been amazing and supportive in this difficult, but rewarding journey my Trista has chosen to take. It is amazing how they have been able to motivate her and build her confidence to a level that makes her look forward to practice everyday. She was ready to give up on her journey until we found Arete. With Dan and Jana, as well as, her amazing and supportive team mates, I am seeing Tristas talent develop to be the gymnast she is capable of being. If you want your daughter to be all that she can be in this sport, especially if her aspirations are to be an Elite gymnast, then Arete Gymnastics is the only gym in Utah for you.

Best gym ever! Ive been coming for open gym on Saturdays for years. Only 5 bucks for 2 hours. Its the best deal around. They also have an awesome parkour class.

The best place in Utah for gymnastics! The owners are super friendly. They teach at all levels from beginning tumbling to Olympic level athletes.

I have been to many different gymnastics facilities and have finally found a home. I havent seen any gym that cares more about the needs of the kids and the families. It wasnt untill I started to talk to all the other families that I realized how many families are getting help from this gym through scholarships, trade and opportunities to work for tuition. I find it refreshing that a campany is so willing to work with every deserving family on an individual basis so that every child has an opportunity regardless of personal circumstances. I’ve been going to arete for 6 years now and I’ve had an amazing expierence. My coaches have become my best friends, they are so amazing and so supportive.

I have gone here for 5 years and I think it is amazing!!!!! They offer classes that keep you hard-working while youre having a fun and enjoying it at the same time!! I definetly recommend it for anyone especially if they have alot of energy. They add a whole lot more to the gymnastics exparience than just practicing tricks. I love it there!

My sons teacher is excellent, I love how she teaches, she varies the exercises and he learns and has a lot of fun. He is always waiting for Wednesday to come to go. Children start from 18 months. The reservationist is very loving and tells you things only in case of need, it does not bother you at all. If you pay with automatic debit, you get a discount every month.
