I love their instructor Ariel. He’s great with small kids. My 3yr twins enjoy their classes with him and show progress with how comfortable they are in the water. I highly recommend him if he is available.

Just had our first class. So much fun! Me and my 3 month old did our first splash n swim class. Start to finish, including COVID:Its kinda hard to find. Its behind Whole Foods. You park your stroller which left me uneasy - didnt want it to get stolen - but someone came down to watch them! Walk up 3 sets of stairs with baby and bag to get to the first floor (postpartum workout 😅). Checked in, showed them proof of vaccine and got ready for class. Place baby on mat by pool while instructor holds baby steady, then I hopped in and grabbed her. Im 53 and we were in the deep end (46?) which freaked me out but we just moved to more shallow part (44ish). Then its a bunch of swaying in the water in different positions with cute songs and some tummy time on a floating mat, and some exposure to face/head with the water, never submerged just splashes, gently pouring over head, and me blowing bubbles underwater. At 3 months old idk how much my LO enjoyed it or got out of it, but its great exposure to hopefully lessen any water fear as she gets older and eventually learns how to hold her breath underwater. Planning to continue to the next set of classes infant swim (or something like that) when shes 6 months.COVID safe which kept me less stressed. All staff wore masks (minus lifeguard which Im totally ok with, if I need the lifeguard I dont want to waste a fraction of a second for the lifeguard taking their mask off before they can rescue), even our instructor wore a plastic face mask shield. Peace of mind that everyone over 12 years has to be vaccinated. Not sure how Ill feel once Im in a full class, but this was a great start. We will be back!Side note: Im a FTM so maybe Im too sensitive, but it was a little bit cold out of water, hopefully as winter approaches theyll close outside doors and have heater on. Being 1 caregiver only meant leaving her on the mat beside the pool while I got out, scurried to her, then scurry to our towel and change her out of wet super quick. My trooper only cried a tiny bit, but the shivering jaw always tugs at my heart.

My three kids did two fast track weeks with Sarah and she was amazing! Thank you Sarah! She met each of our kids where they were and helped them progress beyond my expectations. So worth it!For parents: I grew up swimming and tried to teach my kids...it wasnt working out well. I felt it was so important for their safety to learn, so I looked into lessons at various places and decided on Swim Jim. On the first lesson it was obvious to me that their teachers were well trained and well worth the investment! It is expensive but you wont be disappointed and your children will be safer knowing how to swim :)Thank you Swim Jim and thank you Sarah!

Jim is a great owner and teacher. Parents and kids love his style. It is NOT the same lessons you will get at the YMCA. Its hands on and your child will be able to swim in no time

So relieved to be able to start swim lessons with my baby who just turned 1. The instructors were AMAZING. Very patient- explained everything so thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable with every activity. It seems like they are taking every covid precaution and are so wonderful with kids!

My daughter has been going here since she was 5 months old. Its a great program with very nice diverse swim instructors and a very clean facilities.

We started our daughter here for the early infant lessons and she (we) really enjoyed it. The instructors were fun and friendly and very in tuned with our little girl. The classes are also small so everyone gets individualized attention. We took a break and tried a different program that was in a more convenient location but it doesnt compare. We hope to be back with SwimJim in the Spring.

Everyone is very friendly and kind. All the teachers that I had the luck to attend their lessons are very prepared and put great positive energy. They help all the kids feel comfortable during the session. My older son keep singing most of the songs that are sang during the session. Great environment!

My daughter has been taking SwimJim lessons for the past two years and she absolutely loves it! She really enjoys being in the water and if youre looking for teachers who are friendly but strict about the lessons then this is the place for you. I highly recommend the teachers at the Upper West Side location.

My daughter has been swimming with SwimJim for over a year. We LOVE IT! Everybody from the SwimJim Columbus -UWS Location and the customer service team have been great with us. They are helpful and make sure always that we have a great experience. Her Teacher- Sam- is amazing. My daughter started at 3 and by 6-8 weeks she was swimming.

Big fans of SwimJim! Our now 5 year old has been confidently swimming since he was 3 because of his lessons with SwimJim. What sets them apart from other swim companies, is their emphasis on water safety first and then working on technique and building strength. Every parent should make this investment in their children and putting them in swim lessons early on. So worth it!

Our daughter has been swimming at this location for almost a year and we absolutely love it! Swim class is often the highlight of her week and we may just sign up for some adult classes at another location as well!

Absolutely trash - we were scheduled a swim session at 530pm. And at 510pm they canceled the class through an EMAIL. You could have a bit more class and call 3 parents. Really not that hard. Arrogant staff on spot that didnt even apologize. Please send back $35 registration fee and my $25 uber ride.Update: we did NOT receive any text as the reply indicates. Disputing with Amex and calling BBB

The pool is great for beginners and for all-season lessons. Downside is that the rescheduling policy is rigid, the user portal to schedule classes isnt very user friendly, the changing room is tiny and the price per class ($50) is steep for a 30-minute swim.

Swimjim seems to be practical and good with kids, our coach was knowledgeable and patient with the kids, but we always had an issue when it came to going online, they said that we should have 2 tokens because we had two excused absences but when i went to retrieve the tokens they were not there, i tried to speak to the workers at the site but they said they couldnt help me it had to be either online or by phone, so we paid for a whole 2 months but we are still owed 2 classes, this is disappointing because those classes are not cheap
