Loved the kid-focused atmosphere and patience the stylists provide, most specifically Hunter. Its great to have the childrens movies and toys to distract the kiddos while they play in the themed chairs. Even though my granddaughter had very little hair to actually trim, I felt it was worthy of the additional cost for her first experience in a salon chair. We bought the special package and now her parents have pictures and a lasting momento of her first haircut. It was convenient to be able to make an appointment online. We texted to check in upon arrival and they messaged us back for when we could enter the building. Everything ran smoothly from beginning to end with our first experience using this salon. Well be back in the future!

Friendly, Professional, Timely and Clean!!I recently moved to the Knoxville area and had been driving an hour and fifteen minutes to get my haircut at the salon I had been going to for years. A friend recommended this salon close to work. It is extremely difficult with my schedule to get time off and make it to my old salon before close!My stylist Tessa was extremely professional and friendly along with the rest of the staff. While I was there the other stylist was working on some kids hair next to me and did an amazing job keeping him entertained as well! I am so happy that I now have a place to go that is right down the road.

Lisa is AMAZING!!! She was so patient with my son who hates his hair being cut. He still cried and was scared, but she helped ease his fear and got the job done and it looks amazing! We’ve never been able to find anyone as patient and kind as her. 10/10 recommend to anyone with a tearful child and I will only be using her from now on for his hair!

While that is a quality they have theyre also creative, flexible, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure your child is comfortable while receiving a quality haircut.

My kids absolutely LOVE going here! The ladies make it such a fun environment for my son and my daughter. They cater to each of my kids individually for their own wants and needs, always have cute new kids movies playing, and everyone is so friendly and creative! Would definitely recommend 😁

EDIT: Not sure if they comment to make it look like they take care of the problem or not, but it has been weeks and we have still heard nothing. Nothing has been done to make this right. Do your research before you let someone come at your kids hair!! Obviously this girl had no idea what she was doing! Very hard to believe she has been cutting hair for 4 years!!! This place is really nice, great atmosphere and a neat place for kids. That doesn’t make up for a bad haircut, though. My toddler’s hair was completely botched and when the manager came out to take a look at it, she said that it only looked like that because he is blonde. The cut itself looks like he is wearing a toupee on the crown of his head, and she shaved several patches almost bald at random spots. Long hairs mixed in with short hairs. It’s a mess and the manager didn’t do anything to make it right, 100% guaranteed didn’t apply to us, I guess. We were charged full price for a haircut that we made clear we were angry about, and the hair was already cut so short that nothing could be done to fix it. We drive a long way to come here, but definitely will not again.

Maria was AMAZING and so sweet! We were a little late due to traffic but she was patient and really in tune to what I wanted for my sons haircut. She did a great job interacting with him and his cut was perfect.

We went here for my two year olds hair cut because he hates getting his hair cut. We saw Tessa. She was so patient and kind. She tried to explain everything to him and make him feel safe. He cried and wined but she continued to talk to him. The business had cartoons on and she also had toys for him. Afterwards she said “it will get easier for you.” I couldn’t ask for a better experience. It takes me 30 minutes to drive there and it’s a little more expensive then over places, but we will keep coming because because of the overall positive atmosphere. Thanks Tessa!!

So thankful to these gals. My autistic daughter got a small spiky ball tangled in her hair. I was nervous about how getting it cut out would go cause she has never had a haircut before. They squeezed us in to help with this emergency and were absolutely wonderful. Yana did a great job! She was able to keep the length and then was sweet enough to give me advice on the best hair care for my little girls hair!

Ms. Alisha is amazing with my boy. Haircuts have been a struggle. She is always so so patient and kind, every single time. Today instead of fighting him to get into a chair, she got down on the floor with him. These ladies are always so kind and patient. Today they were jammed packed, we had to wait but it was fine because my son had plenty to keep him busy. I appreciated that even though she was behind schedule she took her time with every single kiddo. Amazing. Highly recommend!

Zero stars. Would no longer recommend. We used to love this place, when Alisha was there, but the staff now seems inexperienced and I was SO disappointed with the outcome of my son’s haircut. The whole place has lost it’s fun personality. They didn’t charge me, because of how terrible his hair came out, but it needs to be known.... Pigtails and Crewcuts is NOT what it used to be. Save your money and go to Sharkeys near the mall.

Haircuts have become a fun outing for us instead of a dreaded chore. Its colorful, fun, and the ladies are so friendly. My son loves the trains and to sit in the airplane while they cut his hair. We definitely recommend this place!

Alisha did a great job with my daughters hair! The set up with the chairs and the toys is perfect for toddlers. I was worried that my daughter might be scared or throw a fit, but she was totally fine with getting her hair cut. She enjoyed playing so much that she didnt want to leave! They’re also following the safety guidelines for the virus.

We have been loyal customers for the past 2 years bringing both our children there. We travel at least 40 mins because our children have always liked the environment there. Since covid policy has started we have had 3 appointments which we had to wait in our car with 2 toddlers for 16min time period, a 10mins, and then 22mins. ( which is all documented due to their text messages system). We never once complained about the wait we understand dealing with children can be challenging and we always respect the employees and understand that situations come up you can not foresee. Today I took my toddlers to get their hair cut I drove for 40 mins and was 10 mins late due to road closures, traffic lights and passing 3 school busses. This was the first appointment I had ever been late to. I received a text message saying they will not cut my children’s hair due to their late policy. I walked into the salon to explain the situation where I found all 3 employees sitting behind the front desk. Their were no clients there. I understand the policies and time restrictions, but it never has taken the allotted time to cut my children’s hair they could of easily have offered to cut at least 1 of kids. Instead they refused me. I was appalled that they have no respect for their loyal paying clients but demand that their time is more important than mine and mine and my children’s and have no regard for customer loyalty.

Yall were amazing with my son. He had a great time, he didnt want to leave. His hair cut is perfect! You made it special for him as well as myself. Great memory for his first hair cut!

They were very nice and professional i think my wife and the hair stylist had a miscommunication on my sons haircut but other than that my son was happy and they had more than adequate ways to keep your child entertained its a great place for babys first haircut i believe they even offer a package for babys first haircut. Interacted with my little boy to make him feel comfortable. She also included us in his hair cut. She asked if we liked this or would prefer that. Highly recommend her.

Tori did a great job with my son. Even though he’s had SEVERAL haircuts before with no issues and I knew there wouldn’t be any this time either, this was his first haircut at pigtails and crew cuts and Tori took every precaution just to be sure. She was so kind, gentle and made sure to dictate everything she was about to do before she did it. She wanted to make sure he was as comfortable as possible, and he was with her. She also listened to my every request and cut his hair EXACTLY as I wanted. It’s the best haircut he has had in years! Thank you, Tori!!

Update: My son has been going here regularly now for at least a year. His hair always looks amazing! We drive all the way from Rutledge, an hour away, because it is worth the drive. My daughter is 9 and Ive always taken her where I go, but this time we decided to let them get their haircuts at the same time here. Alisha did such an amazing job on her hair as well. Her curls look so much better and healthier. She had quiet a bit of length taken off, but she loves it! 5 stars from us!My son does so well here getting his haircut! They are very patient and understanding. They make conversation with your child and try to make it fun which helps a ton for the kids who hate getting haircuts. Alisha is amazing. This is the best place to take your children its really worth it since last year i never been somewhere els to cut my son’s hair when i took him first time he cries and he moves a lot but the staff is very patient and experienced with children.

Don’t choose this salon if you’re trying to do something nice for your child for their birthday! I made an appointment a week ago for my daughter to get her hair done on her birthday.. she wanted the feather extensions. 2 hours before her appointment, we get a phone call saying they are cancelling our appointment because they are too booked up. I asked them to PLEASE try to squeeze my daughter in because she was so excited about getting her hair done on her birthday. They would not do it. Appointments mean nothing there! Now, I have a birthday girl who’s crying and can’t get her in anywhere else.

Wonderful experience! I took my daughter in to get her ears pierced, and they let her pick out a tiny Ty Beanie baby as a gift! I was so pleased with everything and we were having such a great time, we decided to add on additional services! She got fairy hair and her nails polished for under $20 bucks! Our sons first hair cut was perfect, we got the package, they done a wonderful job and was super friendly with us. Ashley was great with my son and we were pleased with how our first experience went. So much so, me and my husband didn’t want to go anywhere else and wanted to make Pigtail’s and Crewcuts our go to place for our son.Now, our second experience was not the same in the least. I didn’t catch the name of the hair dresser that cut my sons hair the second time, but I have to say she was not sociable and didn’t not try to talk and calm my son down as she cut his hair. I was not pleased with how his hair turned out, he has a couple gaps.I’m not saying I wouldn’t recommend this place, but I do think it’s a hit or miss. So I think we will be trying somewhere else the next time a hair cut is due.

My son comes to Pigtails and Crew Cuts about once a month for a haircut. This time he did not want to sit in his hair so the stylist cut his hair while he played at the train table. She was so patient and fun with him! It is always a great experience. I love how flexible the stylists are with the children. I feel like they really care and love the children. Highly recommend!

I was running late and couldn’t make my appointment Friday at 3pm, they let me reschedule to 355pm. Super nice about it! My two children came in ( haircut for my daughter and bang cut for my son). My children have special issues (nonverbal for their age etc). They were both treated so well by Jesi. She cut their hair fast and was extremely friendly. We will be back just for her! This place is so much better than Sharkys by far. In and out with no wait time.

I appreciated how easy she was able to adapt to my almost 4yr olds wiggles and still managed to get a great cut while talking and distracting him! We spent most of the time she was cutting his hair laughing!

I just tried to take my son here to get a haircut and they wouldn’t give him a haircut without an appointment. The issue I have here is that there were ZERO customers in the store and two ladies sitting behind the front register doing nothing. When I asked about making an exception since there was no one there the lady told me she was “booked solid”... that is an obvious lie because there is no one here.

Both employees were very friendly and welcoming to me and my toddler. My childs hair was cut perfectly and his hair is very hard to manage for everyone that weve ever been to, especially when he wont sit still lol, She did an amazing job! Im very pleased and will be back. Highly recommend!

Anna was so super sweet. She catered to my nearly three-year-olds every demand. She got to watch Frozen, got a princess crown, and got to sit on mommys lap. Anna made her a part of the haircut by allowing her to comb her own hair. Overall wonderful first haircut experience despite my daughter screaming in her face. Didnt even phase Anna!

The salon is super clean and organized. All of the stylists go above and beyond to make my child feel comfortable. They are also incredibly flexible, and they can cut hair on even the most wiggly child. My child has special needs, and they are more than accommodating to him.

Oh my goodness where do I start. My 4 year old is speech delayed and has some sensory issues so getting a haircut is always something we kind of dread. I decided to give your place a try and I’m so glad I did. While she still cried and was upset she sat right on my lap and let Anna do her thing. Anna is a true asset to this location! My daughter had her very first haircut today and I was displeased with the whole process. She cut my daughters hair dry but lightly spray the roots of her hair. Once her haircut was completed, my husband FaceTime and was shocked to see that her hair had already been cut. I asked for face framing and that did not happen. My daughter has naturally curly/wavy hair and the number one rule is to never brush dry curly hair; it turns into a frizzy mess. If you brush, it needs to be damp. I asked the stylist to add some curls but she insisted on putting a curl cream in my daughters hair which did nothing. Normally you put a leave in conditioner or cut cream on damp hair, not dry. I asked about adding some pink and the lady immediately informed me that she believed they were out but insisted on a clip in. I politely told her no thank you and to double check any colors they had. She returns with the pink. When it was time to receive my before and after picture, I was informed that the before picture was not saved. They did charge me for only the price of a haircut and the pink color (not the package) which was great since I did not receive what I should have but hire professionals that know exactly what they are doing and will follow parents request. A bunch of lazy workers. I do NOT recommend.

This was our first time here with our 2 year old son who was terrified at our normal Stylist (who is awesome and we love but he was intimidated by the grownup atmosphere). They were great, lots of patience and seem to really care. They let our little one sit in every chair and as he moved spots she cut what she could. End result was a haircut, a good haircut and a happy 2 year old. We will ne back!

Took Kal to get his second haircut. He did so well, sat all chill and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. They were only letting one family in at a time, disinfected everything before he sat down and again as we were walking out. All the way to the doors and handles! Even more amazing is that his stylist is the only one still working as her fellow co- workers took leave earlier in the week. I was so appreciative that I had to be sure the tip was beyond fitting of the service and commitment to remain open during this crazy time we are in. 😊❤️

My tot has very thick hair that grows very fast! He’s been having haircuts every 2-3 months since he was 8 months old! He cried through every haircut until we found Pigtails and Crewcuts. Fantastic haircut, very patient employees, very reasonable prices.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was fun. My girls loved the manicure and pedicure experience. My girls had a few gel nails pop off in less than 24 hours. I called to see what to do and they had us come back in and happily fixed the nails for free with a cheerful attitude.
