I love coming to True Nails! She did such a great job on my nails. She took her time and made sure to ask me if I liked the shape and how the color turned out. Staff is always polite and caring. I also appreciate all the precautions they take for COVID.

Fabulous service. Was looking for a place in town while on vacation and hesitated at the reviews that said they were reusing tools without cleaning first. Well, while I sat in the chair waiting on polish to dry, she took the tools and cleaned them, and scrubbed the chair foot bath. Super clean, no harsh smell!For the basic manicure at $30, I got nail and cuticle trimming and shaping, exfoliating massage, an herbal bath foot soak, hot towels, polish and a light lotion massage.The pedicurist was very sweet, we talked a bit about the hot weather and family. I spent the rest of the time chilling. Very relaxing environment with neutral colors and soft music.I was also able to call and get an appointment a few hours later! They served a couple of walk-ins while I was getting my pedicure, and they seem very efficient. I was in and out in about 40 minutes.

Instead of making an appointment and driving 40 minutes to my regular nail place, I looked for something closer to home and Im glad I did!! Hannah did my nails and they look fabulous!! Perfect length, perfect shape, and the COLOR!! I was having a hard time deciding and Hannah asked if she could suggest a color for me. Soooo glad she did!! I usually pick pale colors but I LOVE this RED!! First time Ive relaxed while having my nails done as I always find a spot missed or something I dont like. Not this time!! Im picky but Hannah is meticulous!! I really liked the atmosphere too...low key with soothing music in the background made my time here so relaxing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Hannah!! Im going to try the pink & white ombre next time! :)

Called to make an appointment. Got a pedicure and a gel manicure. They made me feel comfortable, relaxed and did an AMAZING job on my nails. I’ve been obsessing over them for the past two weeks. Bringing my friends and family over. They were nice, courteous and for the quality of the service, reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!

I havent even gotten my nails done yet but I can already tell this is a great salon! They are polite, clean and squeezed me in today before my wedding on Saturday. I messaged them on Facebook at 11pm yesterday and they responded and set up an appointment for me. Very good customer service and provided me with water too. Will update after on the nail experience.

I decided to look for another Nail Salon after receiving bad service from another Kansas City Nail Salon. Google led me to True Nails. I called and spoke with Ahn on Friday, 10/16. She was able to get me in at 5pm. Hands down, it was the best experience Ive ever had! Ahn was lovely. She was patient and funny! She didnt make me feel bad about the condition of my nails. Peaceful, Clean, Professional and top quality work. So many compliments over the weekend. Looking forward to my next appointment!

I had a good pedicure but I didn’t feel like the manicure was all that great... Probably depends on what you get done. Everyone there had really good English and could communicate with you, so better than a lot of places just because of that.

Several months ago, I started getting my nails (dipping and gel pedicure) done at True Nails, after having used another nail salon. I was pleasantly surprised how exceptional the service was...I was warmly greeted and everyone tried to ensure I was comfortable. I never have to wait for my appointment (I would suggest you make an appointment). The quality of their work is topnotch. I am really happy with my decision to use True Nails. I would highly recommend this nail salon!!!

If you havent visited this salon, you are sincerely missing out. This will be my new go-to place. Ann did an amazing job on my dip manicure. She took her time and it shows in her work. This was my first dip manicure without the UV light and they turned out beautiful. I would suggest making an appointment, they are really good, so they are busy!

I went to True Nails today based on reading the many great reviews they had, and I’m so glad I got to experience such great work + customer service for myself! Anne set me up for my pedicure and soaked my nails while another lady (I didn’t get her name) work on my pedicure.Anne is the owner, and is so personable, I am glad I got to chat with her before she went back to her own client.The lady that did my pedicure was so sweet, and she kept complimenting my eyebrows! No makeup on a dreary, cold Sunday afternoon, and a lady complimenting my brows!? (What.) She actually talked me into getting them waxed (they were in desperate need for a little TLC-if we’re being completely honest).I then got to meet Hannah. She did such a great job on my eyebrow wax. I am very particular with my eyebrows and how they’re waxed, mostly because I’ve just had a handful of bad experiences in the past. But, Hannah waxed them perfectly, and will most likely be my eyebrow lady from now on. She also did my gel polish change, which looks amazing!I used to do nails myself, so I know what to expect as a client AND as a nail technician!I didn’t expect to write a book, but True Nails deserves it! Clean space, awesome work, and amazing workers.

I went here on a day some of the customers were not so considerate. The staff was so patient, I couldn’t believe it. It really showed me what a professional salon it is. On top of incredible service, my dip nails look *fantastic* and have held up well.

I posted on Yelp after visiting for the first time, and now after coming three times on different days of the week, I can say that this is a consistently high quality salon. Each time I’ve arrived I was greeted in a friendly manner at the door and directed to choose a color after specifying what service I came in for. They’re typically busy on weeknight evenings (I would recommend making an appointment or calling ahead), but they make a point to make sure you’re comfortable and relaxed while you are waiting. They have a huge variety of colors (regular polish, gel and dip powder), the salon is very clean and the nail technicians are very professional and welcoming. I would recommend anyone to come to True Nails!

I cannot day enough good things about this place. Ann and her team are amazing. She always goes out of her way to make sure that I am taken care of and that my nails look great. Just recently I was picking at my nails (a bad habit when I’m stressed) and I literally drew blood at places from how much I picked. I went in with my head bowed and she transformed my hands after taking her time with me and using tips along with dip (my absolute favorite nail invention/polish). She took her time and made sure I was happy when I walked out. In addition to their amazing customer service, I really feel welcomed here. Only once did I cheat on Anne by going elsewhere, and let me tell you, NEVER AGAIN. The quality just wasn’t the same.You know, put all these things aside, because they are my personal experience, know that this salon uses quality natural products and the staff is good. I mean good good. The prices are reasonable, and honestly, a bargain knowing how long your manicures/pedicures stay looking great for WEEKS.

This place is amazing. I feel like family and genuinely loved and appreciated as a customer. Not only are my nails always on point when I leave, I feel so pampered and relaxed while Im there. The products she uses are all natural which is perfect because I suffer from psoriasis on my feet. I drive 30 min to come to the salon because its that worth it. Love love love my girl Ann.

The salon is very popular, technicians are polite dont know about the nail experience because unfortunately I was told to come back next day after 2pm after I stopped by twice the previous day.and of course they were booked up, hence the one star. Was really looking forward to getting my nails done. Its unfortunate they advertise walk -ins are welcome, perhaps they should go to appointments only. ☹ In response to the owner comment, I will give 2 stars . But you did ask mw to come back the next day at 2pm, it wasnt a problem of having to wait.

You have to try it!!! Nails are awesome! If you have not gotten a pedicure, you have to, so you can experience the massage chair. I think there might be a person inside that chair secretly. Lol. Anns team is amazing.

I have been coming here since I moved to the area in March. The products they use are top of the line and my nails never chip. The quality of work is always great as well. Everyone has always been polite and professional and I haven’t gone to any other salons since finding this place!

I came here because of the good reviews and was not disappointed! Ann was so nice, did a great job on my nails, and gave me honest input about what would look best on me. I dont get manicures often, but from now on this will be my go-to place in KC!

I had time to burn in the area and decided to walk-in to True Nails. I could tell they were very busy and had several appointments but they sat me down in a massage chair while I waited and they squeezed me in quickly.They must have a lot of regulars because they all asked me if that was my first time there, which I was. They picked up my vibe that I wanted to chill and not have to talk so overall I had a very relaxing experience. Everything in there is brand new and both the tech that did my pedicure and the tech that did my nails took their time and did a fantastic job.I would recommend setting up an appointment but overall I will definitely be back if I am ever in the area or have time to spend the day downtown.

Ann did an amazing job on my nails. The dip looks incredibly natural, shape is great, cuticles trimmed beautifully and the dip is not super thick like some places. She took about 45 minutes carefully taking dip off my nails from another place that put them on way too thick. Massage chair while they soaked and complimentary water on a hot day!

A wonderful experience and such great service! I came in with a bridal party and they had cleared their schedule for us. We only had 2 hours to work with and they got us in and out within that time. I will definitely be back!

Such a great experience! Called one day ahead for 2 pedicures and one manicure. The staff came in early this morning to take care of us because they had weddings booked all day. When looking for a pedicure cleanliness is my first priority. Metal tools used were not sanitized between customers. Nail file and and scrub brush were clearly well used and should have been thrown away. Nails were uneven and looked crooked.Friendly staff and reasonably priced but will not be going back.

I’ve recently become a regular at True Nails and I’m so glad I made the decision to stop in a few months ago. Ann and her team are thorough and take their time to make sure your nails are done right. I work with my hands a lot (lots of cleaning products and water) and haven’t had a gel manicure hold up in the past. Ann has taken the time to get to know me and what I do and has put in the extra effort to make sure my nails stand up to the stresses of my job. They use high quality products and make sure to do a quality job! I won’t be going anywhere else!

Went in today following my last terrible salon experience elsewhere.My nails look awesome and Ann took the time to really trim the cuticles and not leave ANYTHING unseen. I would occasionally look at my nails while my pedicure was going on and she repeatedly said, “anything you don’t like, let me know.” She really cares that you are happy and is happy to fix anything you ask. Friendly is an understatement. It’s a classy place with great service. Love it! I’ll be back !

My first time at True Nails was last Saturday and it was a very pleasant experience. I usually always get dip powder nails, but this place had such great reviews I thought I would give it a try and get gel nails. The place was probably the CLEANEST salon Ive ever been to and they had calming music playing. They gave me a coke while they let my dip powder nails soak off. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get your nails done because it took about an hour and 30 minutes just to get gel nails. The technician looked over all my fingers about 10 times before she even started painting them because she wanted to make sure they were perfect and THEY WERE. I have NEVER had my nails treated so delicately before I was amazed! It was like my hands were the Queens hands they were treated so well.That being said.... I really dont think my fingernails can handle gel nails anymore. For the past couple years every time I get gel nails my nail beds BURN when I put them under the UV light. Even if I have polish on I can feel them burning, which worries me because you can get skin cancer underneath your nails and skin cancer runs in my family. That is why I made the decision to start getting dip powder nails because no UV light is needed and its additional vitamins in the dip powder which makes your nails stronger. I really really wish True Nails offered dip powder because I would continue to go here since its so close to my apartment and they were so nice and welcoming. I also loved it because of how clean the salon was. I would get gel nails if I could but it really just bothers me that it hurts my nail beds :( Either way, Id recommend this place to anyone for a good nail place!!! If they start doing dip powder nails Ill for sure be back or just get regular polish!! Thank you True Nails!

I have been going to True Nails for several months, usually getting a pedicure about every three weeks and sometimes a manicure. I can honestly say that EVERY time I have been there it has been an excellent experience. Ann and her well-trained and friendly staff have taken the time to get to know me and I feel so welcome every time I walk through the door. Excellent nail care, spotless salon, and caring staff! I wont go anywhere else. (BTW, the person that complained because she paid before her nail polish went on for her manicure should know that ANY good nail salon does that. Why mess up your just-done nail polish?!)

I scheduled for a set of acrylics and when I walked in for my appointment they said do you want dip powder I said sure thinking it would be the same price as we originally agreed on $35 for a set of acrylic nails when I got up to pay they said $55 not once did they tell me that it would be a $20 additional for dip powder and I also was very disappointed with the dip powder application it was very very lumpy I have streaks in my top coat and bubbles theres glue all over my hands they are not coffin shaped nails and she used old gross files, Im livid never get your nails done here.

Best place in the city. By far the cleanest and the owner, Anh is maticulous. She takes her time and doesnt rush like many chop shops tend to do. Very high quality. You will not be disappointed. It is also the only salon I have been to that displays their love for the Royals and Chiefs. Give them a try!

Dirt alert!! I’m not sure why other people gave this place for 5 stars. My service was bad. I was concerning about safety and clean. The nail tech pulled out the file and the buffer, I saw that they both were covered with white marks from being used multiple times before. Oh well, that could contain a lot of bacteria and fungi growth. She was breaking one law, there was a good chance that she was breaking others. She did not clean under my nails and color around my nails. I paid for bad services. Honestly, I’m not going back there!!
