After moving from Texas, I spent a lot of time trying to find a new nail place. I’m very thankful I found Tammy! She does AMAZING work! She’s so kind and so personable. I highly recommend XO Nails.

I would really rate them a 4.5 because of the wait. We scheduled manicures for 5 people 2 weeks in advance. 4 of us waited a good 20 - 30 minutes past our appointment time because of walk ins. I bumped them to 5 stars because of their customer service with my 6 year old daughter. They were very patient and accommodating with her! The quality of both the dipped and gel manicures were great. I don’t have any comparison as to cost but 3 gel manicures cost $89 which seemed reasonable to me.

Words can not describe how terrible my nails look. They are all uneven and none of them are shaped the same. I didn’t get a choice of length on my nails before they decided just to cut them. The size of my nails are not proportional to the size of my fingers. They look worse than my real nails which says a lot given the fact I get them done to look better. As the owner of the shop you should understand what a customer asks for it what they get, not what you want to do. Also proceeded to have all of the skin next to my nails cut open and bleed.

I showed the lady a design and asked her if she could do it and she said yes. It looked so bad that the first thing i did when I got home was remove it. Everything was rushed and she didn’t even try to do a good job. The guy that did my friends nails also gave her a card for a free manicure the next time she goes because he did so bad on hers. Absolutely will not be returning, save your money and go to the lacquer room up the street !

1st time here yesterday came back the next day. Mani pedicure done with ease, no stress. Every one were nice. I shall return. Oh yeah I even got my eyebrows waxed 😍🙋🏽‍♀️🥰

I showed up at 6:45pm. Their door and website both say they close at 7:30pm. When I walked in they said they were closing and refused to serve me. When I questioned them about the closing time they just shrugged. When I turned to leave the guy at the counter said “yeah, and don’t come back”. I used to get my nails done here all the time but I will not be back.

This business has staff that are professional and personable. Their cleanliness is top notch for a safe & enjoyable experience!

I’ve been going here since they opened on and off they have a new lady I’m assuming she did my hands and feet so terrible I got dipped powder on my nails and gel on my feet both were terrible! I wanted to call and say something so bad since I’ve been going for so long but honestly I probably won’t return.. It’s over priced and they do terrible pedicures I go on Westport and they do way better. I also feel like they overcharge and then won’t even tell you I paid $98 and couldn’t understand how.. Do better I’m writing from my husband gmail because I don’t have one!

They were very rushed, never asked if I liked my nails, they are all clumpy and not done correctly they ripped off old dip to the point I had divots in my nails when you are suppose to soak them off I then was charged $123 after clumpy nasty nails and felt uncomfortable after asking him to fix because he told me I was needy and was going to stuggle in the real world I will never go back again and it is not worth the time or money I was also bleeding on most of my fingers from them filing my nails and I told them it hurt and they told me only a second longer

It’s a nice nail shop but I feel like they overcharged me. Before going in I called and asked how much a full set would be for acrylic they told me $45. I also had a pedicure which was $20. When I went to pay my total was $98. I asked them how and they wouldn’t tell me why. It’s a wonderful nail shop and they do an amazing job I just feel like I was robbed.

Prices are a bit steep for quality and consistency of work. I think they do a great job on dip manicures however I have never received a decent pedicure here. My nails are always filed unevenly and gel/dip is always left on my skin where it’s extremely noticeable. After paying $100 to have my nails done I expect them to look good. I have also had more than one experience of my nails being filed and they keep filing over the cuticle area until it bleeds and is quite sore.

Everyone deserves a second chance... cant say I didnt try.The shop was clean, updated, and trendy.The service (both times) rude, cold, unsanitary and lacked basic training. The gel manicure I got the first time was sloppy. The technician made me bleed 3 separate times and the only time she stopped talking to every coworker around her was the FIRST time she cut me and even at that, all she did was giggle, no sorry... just giggled. No acknowledgment the other times. She didnt let the gel cure long enough on one hand and it smudged on a couple nails. BUT Thinking it was just the technician, and not the establishment, I just paid and left, hoping that maybe she was just having an off day and the next time would be better.***TLDR***I went in today (exactly 2 weeks later) to my relief, a different technician. THINK AGAIN. This one was worse. I had to leave after she removed my gel because she tore my nails up so bad that it stung just putting room temp water on my hands. The used a DREMMEL to start the removal of my GEL POLISH. She drilled, then soaked my nails with cotton and acetone... except one nail that she tried to scratch the Polish off with HER OWN FINGERNAIL! After soaking for an awkward amount of time (while I watch her scratch her face, pick at her nails, play with her hair, then she touches all her implements). Then she used a curette (the sharp metal scoop) and I watched her dig into my actual nail scraping off layers and STILL leaving some polish. Then using a nail file, filed the top of my nails and SKIN around my nails. THEN she used the buffer.... then she quickly files my nails and says wash your hands. I walk to the back to wash my hands and the second water touches my nails I recoil... stinging and tenderness... serious pain. I walked over to her and said Ill pay you for your time but that hurt and I know I wont be able to have my nails polished because of it Charged me $5.Painful, terrible, rude. Ive had my nails regularly gel manicured for the last 3 years. Thats what you get for trying somewhere new.

They are way over priced ! And the cater to certain customers over others. They are very shady, they just care about getting paid and not customer service, I stopped going a long time ago.I wouldn’t recommend this place to know one!!! U will get over charged !and they have never been that friendly

***Update*** I have been consistently coming here for the dip manicure and I have been very happy with my nails! I talked to the technician and told her what I wasnt pleased with from previous visits and they listened to my concern and corrected! Now its the only salon I will go to in the city for dip manicure.This salon is gorgeous and very clean, however, I’ve been three different times now and each visit is inconsistent. I’ve tried the shellac and dip manicure but when they finish they don’t lotion & massage every time. I also got a shellac pedicure & manicure and the paint bubbled and smudged immediately and it wasn’t corrected. I had wonky textured nails until I finally picked it off.I feel like the services are very highly priced compared to other salons that I have been to. I paid $35 more here for a shellac/gel manicure & pedicure than I do at my regular salon. I don’t feel like it’s worth it when my paint is very noticeably smudged and bubbled. Also, I’ve never been to a salon where I had to upgrade my pedicure if I wanted them to exfoliate my feet.

Just a tad over priced in my opinion. My pedicure was honestly so bad I couldve done a better job. This place has been around for awhile and I check on it every couple years to see if it has changed but i just dont think it has:/ my suggestion would be to make sure staff is trained to use the gel polish properly and take your time. Id rather it take longer than shorter if i get better results. Also lower your prices for gel. $20 up charge is but much...

Unfortunately, my pedicure service has caused my toe nails to split. On top of that, the service I received was very poor. The nail tech cut my skin off and made me bleed on two different toes. I left feeling completely unsatisfied and in pain. When the employees saw that I was hurt and upset they offered me a glass of wine - even though I had already told them twice that I am pregnant. The nail tech also told me that I looked very tired and older than college age which was extremely rude. When I tried to talk to the manager, the employees laughed at me and mocked me. My $50.00 service was not exceptional or standard by any means. From here on out I plan to go to down town nail salons so that I can get better customer service. No one should leave feeling disrespected or unsatisfied after paying. Customers should never leave feeling upset.

I get pedi and mani today. Nail salon owner and employees not wear mask or any faceshield. That’s not safety for customers.

They have done excellent job in the past on both my nails and toes. Recently not so much. I went in about two months a go for a pedicure and gel fill. My pedicure looked good but started chipping in just two days. On my gel fill they also forgot to put the clear coat on top of one of my hands so they looked dull and did not even notice until I was paying and I had to say something to the owner. I decided to give them another chance and went back last week because my regular nail place was booked up. I decided to get the dip powder. They are supposed to last about two weeks. Mine started chipping after two days and only being a week later they are all chipped and I need them to be completely redone. Definitely not worth paying 50 dollars plus tip and will not be going back again.

Ive very picky about my nails. I went here and they did the best job Ive ever had. I went there because my hair stylist is in Liberty and she recommended them while I was out that way. I went and had Vicky. Shes so good! And nice and thoughtful! I drive 25 minutes to Liberty to go see Vicky now! I get dipped nails and a regular pedicure.

Very rude, we used to go to Winnie, but having to deal with their rudeness is not nice. My daughter wanted gel and the one they had was not sticking to her nails; then she decided to get dip since she started having second thoughts about the quality of their nail polish, and they got mad at her and yelling that they had no time for her to choose colors. That’s the last time we went there. I’m not going to pay to be poorly treated.

I love going to XO to get my nails done! They are all so nice and fun! Lyly does a great job. She is very sweet! I would recommend XO as the best nail salon in the Northland, without a doubt!

Best set of Gel nails Ive ever gotten.

Very disappointed today when I went in ! I asked prices right upfront to make sure what I’d be charged because there were 5 of us together and I was quoted a price but then soon as they put tips on my nails they changed the price to an up charge saying ‘because my nails were long’ !! Too late for me to do any about it since they wait til your procedure has started to change price . So I’m thinking I’ll just pay and the up charge will be the tip I would have giving BUT I decided to tip anyway and right after I pay the lady shows owner my tip and comments negative and rolls eyes in disgust at the tip I gave her and not only that but the owner who she shows does SAME THING! VERY DISAPPOINTING after having a charge for two of us of 111.00 to be expected to give a tip and expected to give a large tip and when you don’t you get attitudes like this! This is some of the same reasons I’ve stopped going to another nail place in liberty due to feeling manipulated by the workers and bad attitudes about the tips that are expected so needless to say I will not be returning to xoxo nails

I have been going here for several years and I am very pleased. The staff have been very friendly and very hard workers. Once in awhile like any place (restaurants, hospitals, department stores, etc.) you may find one person who doesnt do a quality job. I dont feel that should have an impact on the business. If a person isnt pleased, they should inform management and I am sure it will be taken care of.I would recommend this place to anyone who asks me where I get my nails done.

Got a manicure and pedicure. It was very rushed and felt like they just wanted to get to the next customer. Both fingers and toe nails were bleeding and cut way to short. I was then told that I wasnt charged enough when leaving and had to pay another $20. I paid didnt argue it because it just wasnt worth it. I will not be back

First time customer (1/8/19) and i will not be back! Requested acrylics with painted tips. My tips smudged completely off within the first 30 minutes!EDIT On 1/10/19 Two of my acrylic nails completely broke off!!

Went to get a pedicure last week and it’s already chipping. I also picked the basic pedicure and was upcharged almost $10 for no reason. I would not go back.

I have been coming here on and off for a few years and it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Today I walked in hoping they could get me in for a pedicure. There was no one at the front desk and a gentlemen from the manicure stations calls out to me and asks what do you want. I say politely a pedicure. He then proceeds to say nothing to me. So I assume that means have a seat, I sit for 20 minutes and no one acknowledge me. Two other ladies come in after me and get sent to stations with in 5 minutes of coming in. I then proceeded to go online and look for other nearby locations when I come to see x o nails has a lot of bad recent reviews of people having the same problems as me and poorly done services. I take that as sign its time for me to walk out. No one says anything, attempts to apologize nothing. I headed over to Gel Nails and Spa right down the road who has fabulous reviews! They got me instantly and it was one of the best pedicures I have ever have! If you want a good nail service I suggest going there! X O Nails I will not be returning. They obviously need to rethink their customer service.

I had a gel fill in and a pedicure, they did a excellent job. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. I had one problem 4 days later my nail polish, which they did perfectly, began to crack. I went back in and with no questions asked they redid my nails at no charge! I will continue going back!

Waited for an hour (8/14/16) for rushed and sloppy service. None of the tools used were sterile or clean. After use, all tools were returned to a drawer or Tupperware storage container. Nothing came from a package (so an autoclave was not used.) The tech had to knock dead skin off of the buffing block before use on me. The same tech trimmed my cuticles, and used the same tool on my mom sitting next to me, with my skin (trimmed cuticles) still on the tool. Very unsanitary & gross. I do not recommend and will not be returning here.

If you want unusual or picture specific ask for Mary. She is a little slower than the rest in getting your Mani or pedicure done but I would rather that and get it done right! I have never had a problem with her.

After being a customer here for over 5 years BEWARE. They may have a new updated facility but the staff is less then friendly. I went in today for a pedicure and in the over hour I was there never was spoken to by my pedicure specialist as it was more important to turn sideways in her chair and chat with coworkers. The pedicure was by far the worse I have ever had no pressure and no technique. They have a new update but unfortunately I was never shown how to use this updated chair again due to her chatting to a coworker. Of course I was offered a free pedicure but I pay for services received or should I say services I paid for and did not receive. I feel sorry for the owner as she is very nice but the employees are not a reflection of her. Go here if you want no respect.

I just wanted gel polish. 2 different workers tried to convince me to get a manicure because the polish would “last longer.” I finally just said yes because I felt like she wouldn’t do a good job if I didn’t. Sure enough..polish started chipping 2 days later. And she didn’t even go down all the way to my cuticle with the polish either. Now it’s been 2 days since I went back to have them fixed and now others have chipped. So 42 dollars later for something I felt pressured to get..and it didn’t even last! Never again.

Been to this place a dozen times or so and had great experiences. But I went in around 1050am today. It was busy but told wait was 30 minutes. Sounded fine to me. After 30 mins my mother and I were called back. Waited 30 more minutes with no water to soak our feet in. Many workers walked by and looked us in the eyes. No one said a word to us. Then comes the long awaited pedicure. My lady didnt say hi or greet me in any way after I said hello with a smile. Then she proceeded to use the pumus stone on my barely saoked feet. Weird and kinda painful...but gets worse. She started to use the sugar scrub on my legs that were completely dry...ouch! Usually you saok for a bit then start trimming and cleaning up my nails. All of this was backwards. She was done in about 10 minutes when I paid for a 20 minute service. She didnt ask if I wanted a design and literally walked away. On the other hand my mother had great service...they even helped her out on her shoes. I even tried to tip my lady and she wouldnt even acknowledge me. This is poor customer service and the owner should be ashamed to have an employee like this. I will go back bc its one of the cleanest places in KC and does have great workers. Wished I knew the ladys name but she never even looked at me and it was like she was in training working a dummy. I guess I am the dummy for trying to tip her. Lesson learned...I will speak up next time. I pay good money and tip well and I wasnt demanding at all nor did I say anything about the wait to be treated like this.

I had LeeLee. Terrible is an understatement. I had to redo them myself when I got home. She was very aggressive & very rude. Very unprofessional- made personal phone calls, was giving me dirty looks & talked to her coworkers about me. She caught an attitude anytime I asked her to fix something.

My nails bubbled and did a weird like folding thing before I even left the salon. Could be the polish I suppose. Im just so disappointed because I love the color and I just got them done like an hour ago and now I have to redo them. I probably will not be back

This salon is definately the most luxe and pretty nail place I’ve ever been to in Liberty, however when I sat down to get my nails done the worker basically just did whatever she wanted with my nails. I asked for her to make my nails ‘as long as she could’ without her charging me the extra length fee and she extended the acrylic maybe a centimeter past my finger tip. I essentially paid $30 for her to make the acrylic the same length as my natural nails which makes absolutely no sense at all. She never asked me what shape I wanted and just gave me a square oval shape which I don’t like. Due to the poor service I received, I left her a minimal tip. She then proceeded to look at the tip that I left her and start questioning me on it and embarsssing me in front of other customers and workers. I was not obligated to leave a tip at all because I did not leave satisfied, however working in customer service myself I wanted to give her SOMETHING. After she very inappropriately and unprofessionally chastised me on her tip I wish I hadn’t left her anything at all. I never leave reviews because I always try to be understanding, but this was hands down my worst experience getting my nails done in my many years of getting acrylics. The owner was very nice though.

Was told wait would be 10 minutes, waited over 45, and it was not that busy... at all. It was my daughters first time getting her nails done and she was so excited. Finally got sent to the back to a chair and waited 15 more minutes and nobody came to talk to us so we left. As we left she yells does she have to leave? Yes, we werent planning on moving in. Ridiculous.

My pedicure was horrible!!! The older lady I had seemed very annoyed and like she didn’t even want to do my feet. It was the fastest pedicure I’ve ever had, she ripped my skin off and hurt my toe pretty bad, she skipped steps that they usually do when you have a pedicure, she hurt me several times while messaging my legs and feet, she wasn’t paying attention at all and was pulling my toes all sorts of directions... She barely scrubbed the dead skin off of my feet (that’s the whole point of the pedicure) VERY poor service and I will never go back..

If i could give no stars I would. Took my daughter for her bday to get our nails done. I asked for a particular look. And not only does it look nothing like I requested I have color still around edges on my skin. Male owner stated i could come back another time amd to bring photos. Im sorry was the original photo not good enough? But when I said id be back tomorrow. They said no you need an appt and we are busy then. Are you kidding me????? Absolutely terrible service. Tech tried to engage but originally told me the look was out of style, then back tracked after owner said they were totally popular right now. Ya ok....Maybe on a monkey at the zoo! And then to charge me $100 bucks. What a waste and a bad first experience with my daughter

I have been a customer for about 5 years and I expected more from this shop. At first I never made appointments and I would just walk in but I learned quickly if you walk in, you will most likely wait more than an hour. I started making appointments but I learned only make and appointment when they first open because any other time of they day, they dont really care that you made one and you are still going to wait. I also had multiple issues with my appointments. When I call the shop they will confirm my appointment. Numerous time I have shown up at my scheduled time and they tell me they forgot to write me down, so they tell me to reschedule or wait. I think this is unacceptable. The nail lady I use said they do that a lot so call her or message her for appointment times. I started to do this and everything had been fine. Until the last couple months and she has forgot to write my appointment down. This is so frustrating because I am expected to reschedule and the shop owners do not care. The second issue, the quality has went down over the last few years. Usually I can go three weeks with no breaks or cracks in my nails, the last few times the 1st week I have a broken nail or they are cracking and lifting. Needless to say, I will not be back and they have lost a loyal long term customer.

I constantly have fake stilettos. I decided Id try somewhere new because they were close to my work. The worst decision Ive made. First they kept pressuring me to do gel nails after I said no many times. Then the nails are so cheap, my usual nail place uses much better quality. I asked for a design on two nails, TWO. She said $5 more. Not worth what I paid. The lines are sloppy and so uneven. The top coat of Polish isnt even. And one of the nails is entirely crooked. Plus she made me bleed twice. This is the worst quality of acrylics Ive ever had. Never again.

I went for a mani pedi this afternoon--- it was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon in my life. So bad that I had to leave the salon and go immediately to another local salon to have the polish removed and the mani pedi redone. Read the reviews and choose another salon to begin with.

I love XO Nails. Yes they run about $3-$4 on certain things but it is worth it! I make an appointment with LuLu everytime. She does a great job. Vivian, the owner is very friendly as well as everybody that works there.
