Aida did a great job on my blowout and it has held up well in extreme heat and humidity. She also provided me help and advice in selecting products. I love that they carry Kerastase products and the salon itself is large and gorgeous. I will definitely be back next time I am in town!

Absolutely in LOVE with my hair and this salon! Aida worked magic and did full balayage on my hair when I had pretty much never colored it before. I was nervous, but she was so accommodating, sweet, explained everything in the process, and was so great to talk to. I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair!I also had a curly cut there and my curls have never looked so healthy!

Copper was very professional and help me with my hairstyle and make sure it is what I wanted and took the time to help me learn what will work better for me. I would recommend anyone to her.

I love the color, but the cut did not look like the photo I brought in, my stylist barely looked at the pic of what I wanted. I dont think my stylist had much experience cutting bangs because I had to trim them when I got home they were super uneven.

This was my first visit to Roca and my first cut with Manuel. I am very happy with the pixie cut. He is easy to talk with and understood what I wanted immediately. I plan to schedule with him again.

I made an appointment for a Brazilian blowout and it turned out so amazing and I had doubts of it at first but Kelley made sure that the results were jaw dropping!! I got my hair cut here about two weeks ago the salon was nice clean everyone was very friendly and welcoming the stylist were very well trained and great at what they do I always second guess getting my hair done n do it myself but u can definitely put yr trust in these guys and gals. Heck they even slid my mom in I had a apt she didnt and hasnt had her hair touch by any one but me in over 11 years n loved the outcome of her hair

First time having my hair done at ROCA. I was able to make a next day appointment which was great! Aida was my stylist and she did exactly what I asked. Blended my roots with the exact right shade of blonde. That never happens! It’s always too warm or too cool, but she did it just right. I was SO impressed. She was friendly and chatty without being overly chatty. The salon was clean and organized. The only reason I gave 4/5 was the price. It was pretty pricy for just a partial highlight, tone and smoothing treatment. But I already made a follow up appointment and will definitely be going back and recommending ROCA to friends and family

An amazing spa experience. My boyfriend and I booked a side by side massage and we both left feeling refreshed and relaxed. The moment we stepped in we were greeted by an amazing scent and a soft spoken woman who took our shoes and brought us to the private changing rooms.

My first appointment was Friday May 7th.Dalton was my stylist. I had a color done ( chocolate brown with purple highlights and a blended color glaze). Ebony and Michelle also assisted me. Everything was fantastic !! The color BEAUTIFUL I couldnt have asked for none better !!! My sons loved it told me I looked young, cool,hip and most of all BEAUTIFUL. Never again, my hair fell out

Was my first time trying the salon. I was booked with a master stylist. I asked for balayage. I showed a picture of what I would like but it wasnt anywhere close to the picture. The stylist was very sweet but my hair turned out nothing like I had expected. Not only that but be aware of the prices you get quoted. I was told it would be $190 for a full balayage and I got a 2/3. My total ended up being $300. I was charged for toner and custom colorization. What is the $190 for exactly then. I spoke to a manager and she agreed I didnt receive what I asked for and they offered to fix my hair. They will not issue a refund if youre unhappy, just keep trying until you feel happy with your hair.

My hair was down my back, long, and its been years since Ive visited a Salon, doing all the dye jobs at home and it showed. I selected Roca Salon due to the reviews and I was not disappointed. I was taken care of by Aida and oh my gosh, this QUEEN, esta REINA, worked her skilled hands on my hair and exceeded my expectations. She was so sweet and so kind, never making me feel bad for letting my hair go. She stayed positive and upbeat, walking and talking me through everything she would be doing as well as what to expect on the next visit to help get my hair healthy again. And the way she washed my hair, Lord, I would have given her a son if we could, my scalp felt amazing!!! Throughout the whole process, shed check on me and ask if I was okay - I mean really, above and beyond. She was not overly chatty, made me feel so comfortable and has me looking forward to my next appointment in 6 weeks. The Salon was clean, roomy and everyone smiled or said hello if I passed by. Sometimes you get into these places and the air is so high class and nose turned up that it makes you uncomfortable, like what is she doing in here? But Rocas is beautiful, high quality and classy yet they make you feel so welcome, so at home and I loved that so much. Definitely will be back and definitely highly recommended - see Aida, she is absolutely an amazing artist and person.

This was my first time at the salon and had AMANDA for my mani and pedi services. Amanda is hands down the absolute best. I have been seeing her for years for my mani/pedi. She is professional, listens to what you want and is so good at her job. The salon space is cozy, very clean and the front desk staff was great at booking and checking me out. I have been going to Emily for hair coloring/cuts since before she was at ROCA and she is wonderful! Emily will listen to what you want and provide advice if you need it! My hair always feels healthy and looks great when I leave.ROCA has done a great job taking precautions for customers and employees during COVID and I feel comfortable going there. Parking is convenient and the salon is open and beautiful. Highly recommend!

First time visit to this location. My stylist Ebonie was professional and polite. I purchased a wash and dry with flat ironing. The cost was reasonably priced at $50. I appreciate the staff wearing masks and practicing social distancing. My appointment was at 11:00 and I was finished by 12:00 pm. It has been a struggle to find a diverse hair salon that actually knows how to style African American hair. I recommend this hair salon.

Highly recommend. Rod does a beautiful job styling and understands what I want and makes it happen. The color is perfect and I love the Davenes products used for color. Very friendly and helpful staff. Today I had my hair washed by Ebony and can she ever do a great scalp massage! This is a very unique salon. I have a bit of a drive to get here, but it is worth it. I wish I could explain how hard it is to cut my hair. Between the curls and the side shave, the Samoan wave, the thickness, the sheer quantity, and how fast this thing grows - it’s a lot. This was my second visit to ROCA. The first was for a haircut, the second for a treatment I won as a promotion they were running in August. My first service was with Kenzie, she did a good job with my cut, stuck to what I wanted. Second service was with Manuel. You can tell he takes pride in his work and has a great attention to detail. Loved it, will be coming back in the future because of his service.

Just left Roca Salón and am smiling from ear to ear. My hair is super soft with the Kerastase treatment and so light and bouncy. The owner Rod always does a great job with my long curly/wavy hair. The vibe is really relaxing and friendly. I especially enjoy the relaxing gentle scalp massage when getting my hair washed.

Manuel does the best eyebrows I have had to date! This was my first time going to ROCA and it was great. They were able to fit me in within the hour and my brows never looked so good!

Rod is the best in Kansas City, hands down. I have been to so many different people at so many different salons in KC, but never found someone who could re-create the pictures I would show. I was very impressed by the measures the salon took to prevent the spread of covid. Even with the extra measures in place, my appointment was on time and didn’t seem to take any longer than usual.Emily was fantastic, I’ve followed her through a few places over the years and she is worth it. I have been to ROCA twice now and I hide Rhonda as my stylist. In years past it’s been very hard for me to find a stylist as I have curly hair, and it’s nearly impossible to find someone who can cut my curls in a way where I can wear it curly or straight. After entrusting Rhonda with my hair, I received a “French cut” and can wear it beautifully both ways. I moved to KC a few years ago but hadnt gotten my hair cut anywhere. I googled Best salon in KC and ROCA was the very first suggestion. I booked an appointment through their website and chose Dalton, as I had read some reviews that mentioned how great he is at his job.I cant say enough great things about this salon! It is so clean, has such a great ambience, and everyone I talked to/interacted with was so nice. Dalton listened to my quick hair history but I pretty much gave him creative control and he did a fantastic job. I love the way my hair looks, feels, and smells. First time at salon and had Manuel. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but he barely communicated with me, and I left with a horrible haircut. When he was done he simply said, we’re done, and walked me to cashier. Didn’t let me look at it. It’s way too short, and nothing like the layered bob I requested. I’ll definitely never return.

For someone who just wanted a wash and a trim (no color), they are definitely on the more pricy end, but I really enjoyed how my stylist took the time to understand my hair needs and goals! This salon is really bright & clean. The staff is always welcoming, professional. They are organized, clear and did I say professional? Every time I go, they are on schedule. It is a high quality salon, but not uppity. Positive energy with a take the job seriously attitude. The use a hair care line that really agrees with my hair....Davines. I love the line so much, I usually leave there with three new products to try at home. I am never disappointed with the results. The stylist I see is Aida. She really listens to what you want, and has a natural quality about her that makes you feel at ease. To top all this off....her talent is truly exceptional. I was given a consult on Tuesday and had appointment with Rod on Thursday. Was offered cold refreshments at each visit. The receptionists are extremely pleasant and accommodating. Rod was amazing! He did an exceptional job on my hair, which hasnt been touched in nearly 2 years! This was a treat to myself and I enjoyed every moment of the experience! Worth the extra money to feel so happy with how I look!!!

I had my first appointment at ROCA this week, with hair stylist Kalie. The salon itself was busy, but the staff members were still timely and courteous (they offered refreshments, and gave me a cup of coffee while I waited - which still wasnt long). I thought Kalie was excellent. I knew when I left that I liked my hair cut just fine, but since I dont usually do blow-outs I didnt realize until later that she absolutely NAILED the style I asked for. Id shown her a few pictures, and now my hair looks exactly the way I wanted it to! Id definitely recommend both the salon and Kalie as a stylist, and Ill be going back when Im ready for another cut.

Roca is by far the best salon in all of the Kansas City metro hands down by a wide margin. Rhonda is an absolute pro and she understand hair better than anyone I’ve ever worked with. Rhonda owns the salon with her husband and most of the professionals that work there were trained by Rhonda herself and it shows. She has an internship program for the newer people so they’re trained to do everything the right way from the shampoo to the way they cut hair to the way they color hair and even the blowout and appropriate product recommendations for customers. I’ve been a client since 2015, and since coming here, my hair has transformed into being so much healthier, smoother, longer, and easier to work with and style daily. I used to spend hours on my hair in the morning but I don’t have to do that anymore. I’d recommend this salon to anyone who wants to work with people who actually know what they are doing. Hair isn’t something to get wrong because it takes years to fix a mistake but thankfully at Roca, I know I am in good hands because of the culture of excellence Rhonda has created with all of her associates. They’re also very friendly and have great service and no ego which is nice.Lastly, and this is very important, I never have to tell Rhonda what I want done with a cut. Rhonda understands that my goal is healthy, beautiful, long hair that falls nicely. Therefore, the last 5 years when I walk in, I never have to tell her how to cut it because after she analyzes my hair, she knows the appropriate steps to take in order to achieve that goal.

Would get five stars. Since Ive started going here years ago before they moved locations. They seem understaffed constantly. Some services change from time to time. Because of it. They still do a great job of whatever they provide to you. 5 stars if they can give different massages like they use to offer, or bring back other services such as the straight razor shave. Different stylist, especially when as soon as you get that one, you go back and its switched. Also better ventilation.

I came to ROCA initially on the recommendation of a friend after getting a botched threading job on my eyebrows elsewhere and let me tell you Stephanie is a miracle worker. I had chunks missing from my brows and they were so poorly shaped and Stephanie was able to tint and reshape them so that I had full brows again. I was so impressed that I decided to get my hair done here as well and Rod made my hair the most beautiful blonde Ive had and then guided me to products to maintain it. Its been weeks since I had it done and Im still getting compliments daily about my hair color. I dont think Ill ever go to another salon again!

My husband got his haircut here on my recommendation. While the haircut seems good, the service was not seamless. He will not come back. The check in process was slow, the checkout process was slow. While a glass of wine is ok, it does not warrant a $45.00 price tag for a haircut if the service is not good. A haircut should never be uncomfortable but a relaxing experience. This experience was anything but comfortable. The razor was very sharp but the roughness of the stylist was unacceptable. Also he only got a cape around him so hair was everywhere when the stylist was done. All over his clothes, even inside his clothes. Had he been going somewhere else, it would have been a problem since he had to come home and take a shower. Roca I would expect more.

Very disappointed in the coloring service I got from Manuel, I had a consultation with him, and asked him if he thinks partial balayage will be ok for my hair and won’t cause to much damage. He said we can do partial lowlights and partial highlights and it should look great. So I agreed. The tone looks green and my hair is fried totally. They probably didn’t even use Olaplex to protect your hair from bleach which most stylists now offer it before service. I had to go to another stylist to fix this mess and tone it with all over color. And ofcourse besides all that I spent 210$. It will take a while and a lot of trims to fix my fried hair.

Aida was excellent; she was very patient with my ignorance of how my hair is usually done, and succesfully translated that into the best cut I have ever had. I immediately booked her again, and I look forward to it!

He listened to me and made suggestions which always turn out to be the right ones and my hair keeps looking better and better! I have always heard that you should look at the people that come out of a stylists chair and make sure they all don’t look the same. There is no danger of that with Rod! I have been in KC for 3 years and it has taken me that long to find a salon and stylist I can trust to be honest and make me feel that my hair looks it’s best. Highly recommend Rod and Roca!

Ive been going to Rhonda at Roca for the past year. And I just love her. My hair is about as curly as it gets. But she knows exactly how to work with it. On top of that, the staff is really sweet and accommodating. The atmosphere has a modern, welcoming feel. And all of their services are well worth the price. Definitely recommend!

I love this salon, I have been going here for years and Kalie is my favorite stylist and she does wonderful work!! Always so kind and gives me her honest opinion of what I want. I have never had a bad hair experience here.

Kalie is awesome! She rocks the curly cut and makes my hair look great. She has also given me tips on styling my hair at home. It took me awhile to find a new hairdresser after mine moved, so Im thrilled I found Kalie! Roca is a relaxing but hip setting, and they offer drinks (including wine!) while youre getting your hair done - great time to sit back and relax!
