I mostly review food and beer establishments, but in the case of Aqua Quip Tacoma and the store manager Ryan, I have to make an exception. We decided to purchase a hot tub during the pandemic shortage. A friend had purchased one from a different retailer and will not be getting it until 2022 so I figured we better get started. Ryan worked with us remotely on our requirements, and then helped us figure out where that fit with the models that they had on pre order. My tub is in and running already! My friend is quite jealous. Ryan was in constant communication about the delivery dates, and helped us plan for the installation. Ryan followed up afterwards to see how it was going and I let him know that one of the lights was out, and without prompting, Ryan sent out a technician. It turned out one of the LEDs had simply slipped out during shipping. Im very glad I opted to go through a great local retailer instead of a big box option.
Ryan was amazing to work with. I showed up, with the feint hope of getting a new hot tub sooner than later. Everything I had read said it could take up to a year to get a new tub due to Covid. Ryan and I discussed my parameters and we were able to located a tub with a 30 day delivery. I could have actually received it sooner but we were out of town. This is my second spa purchased from Aqua Quip and I couldn’t recommend them enough. They are just more knowledgeable than other spa retailers.
Purchased a hot tub from Ryan what a outstanding experience. I took my time and looked around not only do I believe I purchased the best hot tub available but Ryan made the experience unforgettable. He updated me throughout the process. Made sure everything was set up. And after the spa was delivered he called and we had a video call. He walked me through everything, showed me how to maintain and operate everything. He even walked me through how to program it. Best part I never had to open that owner manual. What a way to use technology not make a great experience. Love it.
I went there because I live in Yelm, WA and the nearest pool/spa store is in Olympia WA is Pool Guy + and it has Nothing !!! All of us in unincorporated Thurston County suffer from our location to adequate pool/ spa supplies and service. I really like Aqua quip in Lakewood. It is my go to store for anything pool/ spa

I felt dismissed by most of the staff. Im not sure if it was because I wasnt buying very much or something else. Their prices are a little high. The parking is not clearly marked and full of potholes. I was not aware that they do not take cash because there was no sign and it felt more like they just didnt want to help me. Of the 4 people behind the counter only one person seemed willing to talk to me without looking at me like I shouldnt be there. My husband recently went in there to get a common part for a fireplace blower and he was also treated dismissively. I dont care if they are the only place to carry something I need locally, I refuse to return somewhere that makes me feel like that. Im not sure if they get paid by commission or what but they are definitely not getting our business when we buy a hot tub.
Thank you Aqua Quip!! You saved our pool! Despite hiring a pool professional for almost a year to manage and maintain our pool, it has been a disaster since mid May until now. It is a long story, but synopsis & ultimate outcome:On Monday, June 28th, the hottest day not only of the year, but on Record for Washington State, our pool was a green slime nightmare. Our pool professional dumped off a bag of CYA remover that we werent familiar with. When I asked him for directions on applying it, he said he didnt know : read the directions. When I read the directions, it said if levels are X do X, if Levels are Y do Y.... I asked our pool professional what levels were. He couldnt tell me, but he said I was being derogatory by asking!On the hottest day I skated over to Aqua Quip 5 mins before they closed. Nick tested our water and guided me on what to do to fix our problems. He stayed 30 mins after closing to help me! I am beyond grateful.4 days later, after following Nicks advice, our pool is now stable. Hoping we can actually use it this weekend!!IThank you to Aquaquip, especially, Maria, Haley and Nick!!

They have some pretty fancy hot tubs! One even has a purple lighted waterfall.

I was going to go with Aqua Rec to replace my hot tub cover because they quoted me a lower price. However, the customer service at Aqua Rec was horrible. I called Aqua Quip and although I paid a little bit more they took care of me right away and made me feel like they appreciated my business. Thank you Aqua Quip! You’ve earned a life long customer.
I have called a couple times in the last week. Not one of the guys I have spoke to has been friendly. They are extremely short in response to any questions. I thought maybe a bad day or I just called to close to closing, the 1st time but nope. Good customer service is a must with any business. In our opinion. Won’t be calling or going to the Lakewood Aqua Quip in the future.
Can’t say enough good things! Not only do you get top quality products without having to wait for shipping, you get friendly, and very knowledgeable service. We are newbies to pool care but with Nick’s great expertise, we feel confident about taking care of the pool at our new house!

Spent about a year shopping for a hot tub since there are so many options and companies. I called to have someone come out and give an estimate on a pool liner replacement. I have yet to hear from someone. I’ve called several times to see what is going on and each time I was told that someone will be in touch with me soon. That hasn’t happened. I called for the last time and was told to contact the guy responsible for in ground pools directly. I didn’t do that because I am not going to beg for someone to take my business. It’s not my job. If they don’t want my business just say so. It’s been well over a MONTH now and still nothing. Worse experience ever and this is my first time even coming to this company.

I go in for my water testing almost every week.They answerers all your questions and if you are having a problem the will do research to find out the answers.
I put 50% down on a swim spa purchase for my special needs daughter with cerebral palsy. I was paying cash for the entire purchase. In the two weeks from paying the down payment and the spa arriving at the store my now ex-fiance physically assaulted two of my children. I had to get a protection order and we have a few months to move out of my exes home. I had to cancel my order. According to the form that we signed if I have to cancel there is a 15% cancellation fee deducted from the amount refunded. I told them I understand that I just need the money to move. They are telling me they are keeping the full $15,000. They have no legal right and are breaking their own contract. I have filed a consumer complaint with the Attorney General of Washington State. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!
Once again, their customer service has been amazing!! I went to hook up the pool pump last weekend and it wouldnt run. I took it in and talked with the manager their and it was under warranty.They fixed it in just a few days and I am good to go and getting ready for summer. I always appricate their professionalism and customer service.
Ryan Robertson the Store Manager was AWESOME to work with. We had been researching Jacuzzi and sent an email requesting more information and he got right back to us. His follow up was great, he was low pressure and got us all the facts and info we needed to find the best spa for our family. He arranged a time for us to meet 2 of his team members at 2 different stores to see different spa options in person. He was always helpful and on top of it. Our spa even arrived 1-2 weeks early and he met us the same day at our home to help set it up. Ryan is truly a great salesman and they are hard to find! We had been looking for a hot tub for a while, went to the fair came upon Aqua Quip after talking with 3 other hot tub companies . We felt Aqua Quip was honest and informative, the price was right for what we where looking, no hard sales showed several to choose from and we settled on the 880 we are very pleased with the sales to delivery staff at the store helping us figure out maintenance .
Ive bought two grills over the past 10 years from AquaQuip. Loved my Jim Bowie and it lasted 10 yrs with care and maintenance. Time for a change, so I went back and learned about Saber Grills. I came home and did my research and returned and selected a 3 burner Cast Black. Stainless may look nice to begin, but degenerates into ugly too quickly for me. The Saber 3 burner is off the charts awesome! Perfect Grill marks on my first steaks! Great taste, and above all, exceptional cooking. Their patented Infra Red System is even heat, well controlled and cooks so juicy even when I overcooked Chops! Get the Griddle and a cover. The Griddle will cook a pound of bacon with grease going into the trap and follow up with potatoes, then onions and peppers for breakfast. Exceptional grilling and very worth the price, which I did not think was too high. Good value for the $!

Replacing a $5 plastic part would have been a $200 service call had I not been persistant in diagnosing the problem and fixing it myself after 3 visits to the store. The 3 stars is for the friendly staff. At least most of them anyway.

I am beyond pleased with the customer service here. I drove from Graham just to come to the Lakewood store (I do not recommend the one in South Hill, they are RUDE) I will continue to make that 45+ min drive just for the excellent customer service that is provided here. The store is clean and organized, of course that is always a plus!
Bought a bubble cover from them 1 year ago for $80 and all the bubbles popped. Thought okay its a year old. So we went to same store and purchased new one for $117 dollars now. Got home put cover on 2 weeks go by and bubbles are all popped again called and talked to them found out covers have 3 year warranty only if it seperates!!! Bubbles popped are not covered so they say its probably my water mean while my kids and wife use it daily find it hard to belive my pool has so much acid or unstable water my family is fine no rash or anything but it ate the cover in 2 weeks???? So they said they would give me $50 in store credit not replace it dont feel they take care of customers at all. Not helpful at all. Called 2 other pool place by them there covers are $79.99. Will not return to there stores.

Weve been coming to this store for our pool for years and have great service everytime we go in. The service is great they always make sure you know ex as ctly what your pool needs and sometimes even have bbq samples. By far the best pool store in the area.
Worked with Sam- he was easy to work with and knowledgeable about their products. After shopping all the hot tubs at the Puyallup fair- the products at Aquaquip are top notch and the service is unmatched. Of note, they service the tubs they sell. Whereas, I learned other companies sell tubs and you have to find other contractors to service them. This is a one stop shop. I recommend to the highest degree to stop by and see Sam.

We ordered a Sundance Optima spa with a Covana in June with an estimated delivery in 1 month. Before delivery, we had questions, but the store staff declined to answer because our sales person was on vacation; I did not know we were his property. The tub was delivered and the electrician was arranged a couple of weeks later. He did not respect our wishes; we have trip hazard in a walkway that is not necessary. Not only do we have a person with a disability here, every service call puts the staff at risk of tripping. The electrician also gave a quick instruction on how to maintain the water quality; just throw a little of this in (whatever this is). A chlorine kit was delivered; we ordered bromine. The Covana was back ordered, no fault of Aqua Quip. After it arrived, it took 3 weeks to have it delivered and set up. The delivery/assembly people did not bring the tools and had to use ours (socket set, jigsaw); a crescent wrench and pliers is not sufficient. They also made mistakes like putting the shade brackets on backwards and holders on the wrong posts (no shade on that post), and leaving the padding used in packing on top of the unit. The Covana is too far back for where we asked for it to be placed in relation to to the spa; we need the space at the front to be very narrow. Currently the shade holder is C clamped to make sure the adhesive holds. With that much time, the electrician was not sent out to connect it so it is in the up position until further notice. Our hand rail is still not here so we need to empty the tub again when it gets here. So here we are 4 months later, with no functioning Covana, no handrail and again our salesman was out of the office the day the Covana was delivered so we have no answers. We as customers have not been taken seriously by Aqua Quip, nor has this sizable purchase. This overwhelming disappointment has made us regret our decision to go with Aqua Quip. Hoping for completion someday, and better ongoing service.

This last weekend I had reserved a U-Haul truck and appliance dolly. When I showed up to get the truck the dolly was no where to be found. The option I was given was to drive 3 miles out of way and be charged for those miles. The staff did not really seem to care. This was my first experience in using U-Haul that was like this. Needless to say I will never rent from these folks again. Do Not Use these Guys
