While at my daughters home for a few days, I took a chance to try this little shop nearby. I was SO surprised by the cleanly atmosphere! Every client who came in was greeted, sometimes by name. I got first class treatment by first class professionals. The girls were gentle and took their time. The shop had no odor whatsoever and was spic and span everywhere. It was like being home! Relaxing and cheer, but not fake. I will be back and telling others too. THANKS GIRLS!!

Okay. They’re not for the younger crowd for sure. Old polishes. The gal I had do my nails refused to shape them as I liked, instead insisted what looked better on my hands. I’ve been here a few times and have had a few issues with customer service. My new nail tech couldn’t believe it’d only been a week between for my fill. They don’t push the acrylic to the cuticle. So after a week you’ll need a fill.

This was my first time coming to this salon. I had no problem making an appointment for an acrylic fill and pedicure. Definitely will come back

I saw good reviews & thought Id check it out. I had never had a pedicure. I really enjoyed that. It was very relaxing & my feet look & feel great. However, right after I got done being pampered and relaxed, I was quickly taken out of that mood. The woman who did my full set was very rough. I told her I wanted short claws. I told her I wanted them as short as she could make them with the shape I wanted. I then showed her a picture of the shape. My nails are filed uneven & much longer than than the pic I showed her. They also kept trying to get me to spend more money than I wanted to, which was extremely annoying. Asking me repeatedly if I wanted more expensive options (without specifying they cost more) after I insisted I just wanted what I asked for. Probably will find somewhere else to go, especially for a full set.The first 2 pics are my nails. The last is the pic I showed of the shape I wanted.

I had an appointment at 10am on a Sunday and when I got there they were closed and no one was answering. If you can’t take earlier appointments then don’t offer it.

Pedicures turn out amazing. They are very thorough and do not just rush through them.Ive gone here for dip nails multiple times and they always turn out great. The nails are always smooth and even.Ive tried a ton of different places, but this one is definitely the best.

I have to say this is the best nail place in town, the owner took me in last minute on night Saturday. She was really patient with me and took her time perfecting my nails, she fixed them to perfection if they came out crooked without making me feel bad about it. I love my coffin red acrylic nails and marble middle finger I will definitely come back again.

First, its an incredibly cute place. Greeted as soon as you enter. I made online reservation, checkin was a breeze. They had a huge selection of colors. Technician was my nail tech and she was so so good! I like my nails extremely short and she did an amazing job!Definitely coming back!

Helpful & nice technicians - also love the enthusiasm from the clerk lady. I do my nails frequently, but I like to try different techs. Hands down, Great Nails Kansas City was the best experience Ive had all the years of doing my nails. This is my second time coming to the nail salon. The first time I did gel nails and a deluxe pedicure. I made an appointment on the day of and they were able to take me in. This nail salon is so great that Ive become a loyal client despite it being out of the way from both my home and work.I typically walk in on weekday afternoons for gel manicures/gel pedicures and even though the salon is busy, they staff enough techs to accommodate walk ins like me each time. Ive always had different nail techs and while all of them have been great.

Thought I would try something new. The ladies are wonderful, friendly and very knowledgeable! I really like that every client gets new porous tools. The place is VERY clean.I was relaxed and enjoyed my time without wondering how long I had been there or how much longer.Totally recommend this place! Next is to get a pedicure there!

First time at Great Nails and definitely not my last.I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into to a beautiful little Shop, that looked clean and luxurious.This is the first time Ive ever felt at home at a nail salon. Its been a while since Ive had acrylics so I was also a lot nervous but was greeted upon walking in. I immediately got sat as it was a little slow mid-afternoon. My nail tech was super nice and accommodating. Luckily, shes been in the business for a while and had experience with nail designs. Anyway, my nails turned out awesome and I loved this place!!... Ill come back for a pedicure soon!

The techs are great about receiving feedback and doing what you ask for. Asked lots of questions to ensure I was happy! Anytime I was about to ask for something to be fixed or altered, the nail tech would do it before I could ask! I will definitely return to relax and get a nice manicure done soon.

Do not get dip powder nails here!!!! they do not know what they are doing. drilled my nails down until they were red and sore and did not know how to apply the dip powder. she kept having to drill off the powder and drill down the acrylic extension. the next day one of my nails broke and i went in to get it fixed. they were super rude and acted annoyed about me asking them to fix it. she put on the wrong color and started to laugh about it. did not offer to fix anything. i will not be back.

After an awful experience that left me with blocky, thick acrylics, I made an appointment at Great Nails Kansas City in hopes of fixing my hands. The female listened to me, saw the nightmare nails I had, and then spent 90 minutes on the shaping and fill. This set will last 4-6 weeks minimum. Theyre beautiful! I am so thrilled and will absolutely be using Great Nails Kansas City skills and phenomenal service going forward.

Where to even start? Great Nails Kansas City is an artist. The attention to detail on every single part of my nails is insane. I bring five ideas and we figure it out together. The conversations keep me laughing till my belly hurts. Shes hysterical and very talented! I have a hard time choosing and sticking to a nail salon. Primarily the reasons for shopping around consists of exacerbated prices, quality of treatment, rude staff, and miscommunication or misunderstanding of what I want. HOWEVER, I can finally say that I will be sticking with Great Nails Kansas City when in Kansas City!Ive came here for both a pedicure treatment and now a manicure treatment and both services were beyond satisfactory! Recently, nail tech assisted me with my manicure appt and I couldnt be happier! I came in with a certain idea of what I wanted and then mid-way changed my mind and she didnt seem bothered at all nor took any offense. She took her time making sure she achieved the look I was going for.This is definitely a place I will be coming back to!

Love this place! Seriously the best mani/pedi Ive ever had. My feet are so soft, cuticles very clean, and nails so smooth. I always get regular nail polish and it lasted pretty long. I hate it when it chips in a couple of days, but it didnt even after going to the beach! The service was excellent too! The staff really tried to get to know me and treated me well. Great place, I highly recommend it!

Best place for gel manicures & designs!!After years of going back and forth with long tips, pink & whites and acrylic nails, I decided to give my nails a break and go for something more natural and shorter. For someone who works in the city, this has been an absolute gem to find.Chipping, thin/weak nails, rigid lines from new growth, color fading, lifting and peeling are just reasons why I never opted for a gel manicure. Thankfully, I havent experienced any of those ever since I started to visit Great Nails earlier this year. I use my hands a lot and even kickbox. Sure, Ive come in with a broken nail or a tiny chip here and there. But my nails have lasted me FOREVER (3 weeks).I usually call to make an appointment, which I highly recommend. All of the nail technicians are nice and professional. Unlike some salons, they are gentle with their tools and take their time! If you have a nail design in mind, just show them a picture and they will do it --but better! It will cost extra in most cases but they let you know right away. For a gel manicure, I am there for at least an hour, this includes soaking off the nails, shaping and cutting the nails, trimming the cuticles, applying the gel polish, hand massage and even a hand treatment at the end which makes my hands feel so soft! The best is that they always reassure me to visit within 2 weeks in case anything happens to my nails.The quality of their work is amazing and it shows. My cuticles are healthy and even once the gels are soaked off, its nice to see that my natural nails are not as brittle and weak. Id highly recommend this place to anyone!

Not one of the worst nail shops, but wouldn’t go back. I have always had “long” nails done. I know how to take care of my fake nails. So the fact that I literally got them done yesterday for graduation and they broke today is ridiculous. Another thing is that I asked them about the price for the a picture and they misinformed me about it. I told them how much will it be for the EXACT picture (length & shape) without ombré and they said 40. I asked all 3 employees and asked the lady twice who was doing my nails. When it came down to the length part they tried to charge me five more dollars. Now 45 dollars ain’t much, I’d have definitely paid that but I only had 40 dollars in cash & I doubt they’d let me leave to get more cash. I’m upset because I asked multiple times about the price to make sure I’d have enough because if I didn’t I’d have left to get more. They’re nice and seem like good people, but I never broke a “long” nail the next day from my other nail artist (she was booked up).

I moved here from Phoenix and tried several nail salons in the area until I found Great Nails. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Im a nurse so my nails go through a lot at work. Sometimes its 3 weeks before I get to have them done. They always last with no chips or breakage. My co-workers always compliment nails and ask where I get them done. The staff at Great Nails always do a wonderful job on my nails. They take walkins but make sure you call for an appointment if you want a full set or you might be waiting a few minutes. They are a popular place with the locals.

I came in for a walk-in— no one spoke to me for 20 minutes. I was then asked what I needed so I mentioned I needed a mani/pedi. 10 minutes later someone got back to me and said they could only do 1 of the 2 due to appointments. No issue as I was a walk in, but it’s extremely rude that it took 30 minutes for someone to tell me that. I could be halfway through a service somewhere else by now.

I was here on vacation to visit my father and he suggested I get a mani/pedi. I dont typically get manicures or pedicures, but I figured what the heck. We drove around for a while and and spotted this place. I was a little skeptical, but I walked in anyway.I was immediately greeted with a friendly hello how can we help you. I asked if they accepted walk ins for manicures and they said yes. Wonderful women meticulously filed my nails, pushed back my cuticles, and cut every single speck of dead skin from them.Great nail place! Clean, fast and so friendly. . Definitely be back.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Good people however i wouldnt ever go back. Ive gotten semi long nails for the past few years and they last weeks if needed. Withen three days my nails had begun falling off. This was totally unexceptable given my nails were shorter than usual, i had done no heavy work with them, and the gel color was chipping in the first two days which typically doesnt chip at all for me even when i am working. Not recommend for people who get gel polish or acrylics.

Had such a horrible experience! The rushed through the whole process and when I let them know that they missed a couple of spots they started talking in their own language and ignored what I had said to them.

Came in here and made a reservation last minute and got a gel mani and a basic pedi. The mani and pedi were both good and the pressure of the massages were just right. I felt bad being the last customer in there and was expecting her to rush but she still did everything and even double checked my nails at the end. I also appreciated how she fixed my 2 broken nails with some acrylic instead of just dabbing nail glue.

I wont be back. My husband and I went for pedicures a few weeks ago. They put us both in chairs, started the soaking and started in on my husbands manicure. Then they started in on my husbands pedicure... Im still soaking. 30 min later Im still soaking in tepid water they finally start my pedicure. My husband is done so, even though I paid for the deluxe they rushed through my pedicure in about half the time it should have taken (all the while talking very louldy in Vietnamise to the other workers)... Didnt want to keep my husband waiting? Dont know, but I make the decisions where to go, so BIG MISTAKE. We wont be back.

I came into get acrylics on friday february 16. they looked okay. i was pleased. i noticed the lady didn’t put the acrylic “paste” far enough down on my nail but had already given me attitude for making a comment about the nails being uneven and asking her to fix it. so i thought it would be fine....less than a week later the nails had started lifting so bad it was pulling my hair out. seriously not even a week had gone by. i’ve had acrylics that lasted me 2 1/2 weeks before lifting like they had with this. she also convinced me getting gel polish would make it last longer...sorry didn’t pay close to $40 to only have it last 5 days if that.

Great! I have only had a mani pedi ONE other time in my 31 years and it was in NYS. The reviews for this place were really good so I thought Id give it a try. I called to see if they had time and she told me to come right in. I had to wait a bit due to a mother and her 2 young children taking their time.. but once they left it was SO RELAXING. The woman did my nails while my feet were soaking and I liked that idea since my nails would be dry by the time my feet were done. She was very gentle. They used a great smelling lotion and scrub that just for that I would go back for. They also have massage chairs while you have your feet done.I would highly recommend this place.
