Great when we first moved in. The design of the apartment lured us in. Amenities are nice. But if you ever need to contact the leasing office for any reason whatsoever - you will not receive any sort of response. They don’t answer phones, they don’t reply to emails, and they are simply terrible at their job.Never taking any responsibility for mistakes either. They’ll find someone to put blame on.Overpriced for the quality of customer service and attentiveness. Not worth the rent.Avoid.
I would not recommend moving here, especially if you work from home or if you or your spouse is in the medical field with odd hours. Most inconsiderate residents Ive experienced who give no regard of their own noise and blare music and scream at the pool and halls like theyre in a frat house and the office does nothing. The maintenance staff is great but the office staff is hard to get a hold of and takes multiple attempts to get information. Advertise as luxury but it is not, there’s been regular police presence because of the pool but tonight cops were everywhere
I would not recommend living at Altitude 970 to anyone. Management is non-responsive and extremely unprofessional. There has been huge turnover with management and office staff. Every time you go into the office to address an issue, there is a new person. The managers keep getting worse and worse and their messages/resolutions are inconsistent. You should get in writing anything that is discussed as it changes frequently. You can be told one thing one day and the next day its something entirely different. This place cannot be trusted. Its mismanaged and not clean. This place used to be beautiful. The current manager has no idea how to manage conflict, she is vulnerable and takes for granted people who have lived in the residence over time. She caters completely to new and incoming residents and blows long term residents to the side. She has no care or concern, as she talks over you and makes sure her point is heard of yours. I cannot stress enough how mismanaged this property is. So sad for such a beautiful place and location.
Just got settled in here and absolutely love it! Perfectly set up for our dogs. Everyone has been super nice and the facilities are well kept.
I moved from the downtown KC area to this community in 2019. I honestly dont miss the noise of downtown. Its quiet, and peaceful. The community backs up to woods, so dont be surprised if youre walking your dog and you come across a group of deer, flocks of geese, baby chicks, or even an occasional fox! I didnt have the best move-in experience but that was addressed. I believe the complex is now owned by another management group since then. If I have an issue, its generally taken care of quickly. My only complaint honestly is that I dont think the batteries in the smoke detectors were changed this year....as well as filter in fridge, and the air vents could use a deep clean. Other than that, I think its a quiet, cozy place to live. -
Outstanding,.Everything was brand new, hands down. The AC was excellent which is very important to me. The area is good, you’ll have everything you need, downtown is just 20 min (traffic ain’t terrible). Customer service is great and they have outdoor trails. Great choice of bars near by. I definitely recommend this place. Oh and, the airport is so close! If you travel a lot like I did, this is the area for you!
Altitude 970 is a nice community, with lots of diversity in its population, both ethnic and age. The buildings and grounds are attractive. A walking trail circumnavigates the complex and connects to the nearby commercial area with shops and dining. Its also quite dog-friendly!
Do not move here. 3 years ago was great, Sherman residential took over about a year and a half ago I guess and its been downhill. Jacked up prices and could care less about residents. Absolutely destroyed a once awesome community.
Beautiful apartments and great front office staff. This whole pandemic has been hard on lots of folks and their jobs/income. I have had to pay rent late a few times and Andrew at the front office is always very understanding and works with me to get squared away. Maintenance is awesome, and again the front office staff really does everything in their power to try to resolve any issues, and they are always trying to throw some kind of event or little get together for the community which is a nice little touch.
This is a resort-like property: heated saltwater pool, hot tub, work out room, game room, business center, more. The amenities are top-notch....unfortunately they are not open all the time, the workout room and pool are open 10-10 but the rest only during business hours. Landscaping is not great but adequate. Property is kept very clean and kept up in general. Windows could use washing. I feel like its on the high-end of price but its equivalent to those nearby, and lower than downtown apartments. The views from my apartment are extraordinarily good - look at forest, stream, beautiful. Many windows. They try hard here and the staff are friendly, but they are often short staffed. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
Kitchens and amenities are beautiful. Walls are paper thin. Utility bills are horrendously high.
All in all great. When I first moved in there was a great staff in place then the property was sold and a new team was hired. They were ok. But it seems like theres another new team of staff members and a new manager and they appear to be a great crew. Great amenities, great location, great school district.
Such a great place to live and great community!
I have lived at the complex for almost 3 years now. Getting ahold of the office is terrible. They let people park where ever they want to. Even where it says no parking. People park along curbs blocking people from driving through the complex and making it very difficult to back out of actual parking spots. They leave emergency exit doors broken for long periods of time and allow residents to leave trash in the stairwells for days on end. They will tell you they are working on something but really they are doing nothing about it.I also have had my car broken into (destroying my door handle) at this complex and have seen people pulling on door handles trying to break into cars at night. Security is basically non existent here. I have only seen them drive around 2-3x the entire time I have lived here. They also don’t notify you when your automatic rent payments stop. Not even by email. So if you’re used to automatic payments (as we have been for the entire time we have lived here, we have never missed or been late on a single payment) and for some unknown reason they stop, be prepared to be charged a huge late fee even though we had no idea our automatic payments had been stopped.
Don’t move in here unless you enjoy paying $300+ A month for electric and another $100 a month in water and sewage.
This apartment is fantastic...the location is ideal for a commute to about anywhere in KC and the proximity to the airport is convenient. Also, downtown Parkville is just a couple of minutes away. The amenities are great as well--a great swimming pool and the walking trails around the area are great especially if you have a dog. The staff is incredibly helpful, too--especially Tiffany! Shes great to work with and always willing to go the extra mile to help. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
I so badly want to write a raving review but I can’t. I lived here for 2 years and had a mixed experience. The apartments are beautiful and I loved the location. The management for the first year was beyond amazing - I had no complaints. However, ever since the management changed last fall I’ve had issue after issue. From stolen packages brought to their attention to not being able to contact anyone when they closed the office due to COVID, it has been total frustration. As long as I didn’t have to work with the management team, things were completely fine. Communication was completely lacking and near impossible when I initiated it. Management was a big reason I ended up renting here and to have the experience changed so completely was very frustrating. If you choose to lease here, I hope you have a better experience than I did!
My wife and I lived here for almost 2 years and had a great experience. The staff are nice and professional, the apartments are really nice and clean, and the vast majority of neighbors are quiet and nice. Its a great community and the walking trail and proximity to restaurants and grocery stores was really nice!
Great amenities!
We just renewed our lease here and couldn’t be happier. Will, the property manager, is very down to earth and easy to work with as well as the rest of the staff. Amazing environment and very communicative to all the residents. Would highly recommend!!
Amanda and Tiffany have been extremely responsive and helpful throughout my move to Altitude 970; they made my move very convenient and pleasant. The property is extremely well maintained and I really like my apartment. If youre moving to the KC area youll definitely want to check out Altitude970!
We work closely with Altitude 970, and I do not have enough nice things to say about the property, and the management!! They pull out all the stops to make their residents happy, and they are so helpful!! They also have a nice-sized dog park with enrichment, as well as a walking trail... we highly recommend them to all looking for home in the Northland.
Sooo glad my 7 month lease is over and I’m out of that place! The original management company was great and kept up the place. The new company, not so much. Amenities went downhill, public residential use stuff was broken often and not fixed very quickly (if at all), several amenities were taken away entirely, some new staff are less than professional/friendly, parking is terrible for guests, cops are there quite often (don’t know why), and there is an almost constant stench of marijuana in the 4 buildings I’ve personally been into. Also, there are some homeless people living in the woods nearby that have approached several residents (myself included) in the walking path in the early morning/evenings. Overall, Altitude 970 gets a 👎🏼👎🏼!!
My family and I loved this place when we first moved in. But, it seems everything has gone downhill over the last few months. If we could afford to, we’d break our lease and move elsewhere. Very disheartening, as this is a beautiful property. Just seems like Altitude 970 could potentially benefit from new management or a complete overhaul of their policies.
My husband and I have lived here since May and we love it! The staff is very professional from the manager to the cleaning crew! The staff appreciation events are fun and we have made good friends here. We are happy to call Altitude 970 home!
Friendly staff, always willing it spend time with you! Truly great people! There are two that always come to mind though, Lori and Micheal. Lori is the manager, and Micheal is a leasing agent. Always a delight!
A beautiful place complimented by its wonderful tenants. A place I feel safe leaving my daughters to live.
Great staff. Very accommodating and patient. The property is beautiful.
Great scenery.
The staff is very responsive. Hard to find apartments like this anymore!
Beautiful Place
