Great location and definitely a good price for the area. Ive been fairly happy with management, but there has been an issue with my furnace for MONTHS where it wouldnt turn off. It took them months to fix it and they ignored all of my requests for some kind of partial refund on our electric bills that were way too high due to Mac not fixing the system. Otherwise maintenance has been great--very fast responders and anyone who comes into my apartment makes me feel comfortable and does a good job.The units are beautiful and modern, but the noise pollution is insane. Im facing broadway on a lower level so thats probably worse than if you were in a more inner unit, but Im constantly hearing drunk people yelling on the street, constant traffic sounds, ambulances and police sirens, etc. Also, the windows dont have screens (didnt know that was even allowed) so anytime you open your windows your room will quickly be infested with bugs and an absurd amount of dirt. The parking situation sucks too, where you have to park along a side street and walk sometimes quite a distance. Not so bad except when its snowing or if youre carrying lots of groceries. My car was broken into once but nobody broke the window and there was nothing to steal so its whatever lol.Overall, I wouldnt NOT recommend it, but if you work from home and have lots of zoom calls then the background noise is a lot. The neighborhood is fun for a 20s crowd and I like being close enough to walk to the grocery store when its nice out.

Just got my door locks batteries changed. Apparently it was about to die! What a scary thought, fear not - Keith Martin took care of it in about 2 mins! Quick, efficient & SUPER nice Mr. Martin was i sure do hope he gets that 10$ because i didn’t have any cash on me at the time & i feel horrible. Just know you are immensely appreciated 👍🏻👨🏻‍🔧🪛🛠🔐🔋

I moved in optimistic and eager to live in this building but the cons outweigh the pros unfortunately. To start out, some of the good things about this place is the proximity to the city, bars and night life. Great place for young adults like myself to socialize. The gym is right downstairs near the main lobby and top patio deck is a great place to hang out with views. Now the Cons... The first thing is the construction right next to the building. I get it, they’re just doing their job. But if you work NIGHT SHIFT and need decent sleep during the day, DO NOT LIVE HERE. There is absolutely no way to ignore the noise, even with headphones or any other noise blocking system. The dry wall in this apartment does not do anything with noise, I can hear everything that goes on out in the hallway and downstairs...from my bedroom. Also the unit maintenance. My closet door was broken moving in, my bedroom door fell apart from the hinges as well, our unit has a terrible distinct smell from only our room and come to find out, there’s a BAT living in our vent. Called management overnight and animal control, they said they couldn’t do anything about it. The community dryer and washer downstairs are constantly broken. The only thing saving this place is the maintenance guy during the day and I’m so thankful for him for being prompt with all my service requests. The parking around this area is a hassle because you have to park in the side of the street and there’s barely any open parking spots because CONSTRUCTION took over most of the parking area. Absolutely disappointed and my hope for this apartment is fading away so quickly. What I thought would be a great place to live (which was true for the first 2 months) became an absolute nightmare. Do yourself a favor and find a different place with better parking, cheaper rent and no construction. You won’t regret it.

Dont move here. Our air conditioner went out in April, and they ordered a part in May, and we still dont have air conditioning (in July). The walls & doors are chipping because of the humidity from not having AC. We didnt have hot water for a week. The power goes out constantly. One of our light fixtures fills up with water, so we cant use that light because thats obviously a fire hazard. The trash chute constantly fills up, with garbage lining the hallways for days. 3 of the 6 driers dont work right now (which is par for the course in the laundry room). We have submitted several service requests, and called in many times, and they always act shocked, empathetic, and helpful....and then do nothing. Our issues have been escalated several times lol As far as I can tell, escalated means thrown into the bowels of a volcano where theyre never spoken of again. Dont move here.

Keith is the maintenance man in our building and promptly and neatly replaced my broken bathroom counter top, also replaced lightbulbs smoke detectors, tightened toilet seats, got closet doors set back on track when Id knock them off. Ive Been living here a while maintenance has always been great and Ive been problematic for him hes always nice. Unrelated: One of the buildings elevators is a bit slow at the worst times possible hahaParking has been a slight pain this year due to nearby construction, but I cant complain overall second Lease here ends in January 👍🏽

I submitted a work order at 11:30pm and Keith Martin was here at 9:30am this morning to attend to my leaking sink. Having experienced poor service at my previous residence, I was impressed by his promptness and efficiency. I’m optimistic about my stay here because I know that Keith is professional and competent.

Great building!! Keith is very great at what he does so maintenance doesn’t play around. He was able to change my air filter and took his time to help me with my A/C. The building is very secure and safe. I’d recommend to friends and family. Thumps up for Keith!

Keith was super prompt in fixing my vanity and when I moved in he replaced a missing door super fast. Everytime he sees us he asks if everything is in working order. He and Nelson are amazing!!! Always kind and efficient!

My fiancé and I have lived here for a year and out of all the midtown apartments we have lived in they are the best by far. Just signed a lease for another unit, my man Keith Martin did our move out inspection and we could never tell he was in, everything was as we left it. Best maintenance man in the city looking forward to another year.

We love being a part of the Ambassador Apartments! The staff is fantastic & very friendly. Rick is constantly making sure the grounds are clean and he is always quick to solve any maintenance request.The neighborhood is really growing & I think MAC and Ambassador had a lot to do with that!

Keith was able to come in and fix the lighting in my room and the plumbing in my bathroom while I was away great staff!

It’s a nice place to stay and maintenance is also very nice. I had two requests at different times and Keith Martin handled both the request very efficiently and problems were resolved in a very short time.

Ambassador has been great. Beyond the few folks that unfortunately are disrespectful of the building, my stay here has been quiet and the apartment itself is wonderful, with lots of natural light.I will say, Rick, one of the maintenance crew, has been a joy to have. Upon moving in, he voluntarily helped me carry my couch up 7 flights of stairs when it wouldn’t fit in the elevator, has always been a kind smiling face, and gets things done promptly. Not only that but he truly cares about the residents. He’s a vital piece of this company.

Do NOT live here. I am a 24 year old young professional and was attracted by the view (from my apartment), amount of windows, and flashy lobby. This apartment building is just awful. Over the first 3 months I lived there, multiple people had water leaks/problems. Maintenance called me to say that the apartment below me was flooding because of my apartment, and had to come in during the day and turn my water off or fix something...there was nothing visibly wrong in mine. The windows held zero heat, and did not seal well.If you park on Knickerbocker right next to the building, your car will be vandalized or broken into at some point or another. It seems like we get weekly emails from management about break-ins. The elevators are often broken, but usually one is working. There was a 4-day span where neither one worked...I live on the 8th floor. The gym is disgusting, and the TV remotes either dont work or are missing, depending on the day. The coffee shop on the street level often leaks spills into the gym below it. Half the time the chutes for the garbage dont open, and you have to leave your trash in the little room, thus making the hallway get smelly. If theres anyone walking down the hallway and talking, you can hear the entire conversation through your door. I had a neighbor play music at a low level often, and I could still hear it through the walls. If you dont have airflow through your apartment, it will often smell of old, stale cigarettes. We think this is caked into the walls because it was an old hotel. Water often times wont get cold. If a package you order isnt shipped by USPS, youll have to go to another location to pick it up. Other than that, the mail is fine. Do yourself a favor and just dont live here. The price is attractive, but you get what you pay for. Youll end up having to pay for what you saved in rent by buying a new car window because youll get broken into. Moving out in a month and I have been looking forward to it for a few months now.

I really enjoy the location! Two yoga studios next door, food and drinks across street, coffee cafe . Can walk to Westport, 39th and Martini corner. Really close to crossroads, plaza, downtown, etc. Mostly young professional tenants, nice lobby and rooms, community laundry isnt great but does the job. Parking is usually good except on nights with a big concert going on at Uptown Theater. (a plus if your going!) Mac Properties makes a honest effort to resolve any issues.

1. My girlfriends purse was stolen directly out of our apartment. I contacted management to get told that they DON’T have cameras even though there is some in the lobby they could have checked.2. NO GARBAGE DISPOSAL. Worse thing to live without.3. Crime is by far the worst thing when living here, I’ve had my car broken into 3 times, 2 busted windows and a radio stolen just yesterday! They done care about anything you tell them at the office about people violating your car they just say “did you file a police report” like that’s gonna help....4. 99% of the time you park anywhere your also guaranteed to get a ticket and if you don’t park on the street you get you’re car busted into pick you’re poison....5. When i first moved in i was very excited because it was my first time living downtown and the price was super affordable butttttt YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!!! go live somewhere else that’s a little more with underground parking but the parking you pay for here though mac your 100% guaranteed to get your car broken into and if you try to pay even more for underground parking it’s probably full so you’re suck back getting broken into and getting tickets....6. SAVE YOURSELF DON’T LIVE AT MAC AT ALLL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!7. You’ve been warned!

The crime is horrible ! Whatever money you think you are saving your car WILL be broken into or vandalized ! Not a matter of if but when. Your options are parking in the garage where someone was murdered and we often here gun shots or fight the concert crowds and park on the street where you will be vandalized . The apartment has no garbage disposal, water leaks, sometimes you have hot water/sometimes you dont . There are video cameras that no one ever uses so people pull the fire alarms or the coffee house in the building sets off the alarms at all times day or night . No one keeps their dogs on leash so have fun with that nightmare . No one cleans up after their dogs . Its just not worth it. Dont live here, if youre a female theres NO WAY I would be outside this place after 9 pm. I had to call 911 at 930 pm one night when people were breaking into cars. Never run alone in this neighborhood day or night bc of the abandoned building where all the drug users go to shoot up, oh, which reminds me, watch out for their used needles on the street (Im not kidding ) . Dont live here.

Good place to stay, staff is so helpful and responsive for any services and good locality.
