We had a great experience renting locally from Beach Cars. The company is low-key but legit! They picked us up at the airport quickly after we landed and drove us to their lot (which was very close to the airport) where we were able set off in our rental. The car worked perfectly and blended in seamlessly with locals (it was a Subaru Forester). We did not want to stick out like a sore thumb in a Jeep or mustang 😂. The employees also drove us to the airport from their lot when we left. Easy process & payment and extremely friendly staff with great communication! The four wheel drive was also great for gripping windy wet roads of Hana Hwy and gravel parking lots of Maui! I’d recommend renting with them 100%!

In times of Covid this place did not take advantage and price gouge. The price of a rental was very affordable way below what hertz and even what people on Turo were charging . They’re located like 5-8mins away from the airport . If I ever visit Hawaii again I would book through these guys even when car rentals prices go back normal. They even drop me off at the airport. I also didn’t have any surprise charges to my credit card after returning my car . Thanks again!!

Trip saver! Good thing I found this place and had my reservation. The experience was perfect! They answer to calls and texts right away. Prices are decent and not like the big companies. They will pick you up and drop you off at the airport too! They were all friendly and the car i got drove very nice. Didn’t have any problems going up and down the hills nor unpaved roads. Needed a car that will get me from A to B and this was perfect! Thanks beach car rentals. Will definitely call you guys again and will even tell my friends and family. I do hope you guys will expand to all Hawaii Islands! Mahalo!

Had a good experience with these guys. Good prices, relaxed vibes, car worked great, airport pick up and drop off went smoothly. They provide a number to call or text with questions making it easy to coordinate. Sunroof was a nice bonus.

The team was incredibly flexible and made our rental experience great. And the Subaru Forester we rented ran great and had much needed ac, which I would expect since I owned a forester for many years

This places is super affordable, had really nice experience with booking and the folks that picked and dropped us off at the airport! Although we did not drive much it was good to have the vehicle when traveling into remote areas where you cannot access Uber or Lyft. It’s right by the airport, professional and great people to deal with! Highly recommend using Beach Car rental.

Amazing experience! Erdni took care of us while in Maui!Needed a rental car last minute, everywhere was sold out of cars or the prices were sky high even on Turo. Found this place and was able to book a van right away, they picked us up at the airport, signed the contract and provided my license and insurance and was on my way! The van was nice, had cold air conditioning and was clean inside !When I needed to return the car I met erdni at the lot and he took us back to the airport! Thank you for making my vacation easy and affordable 🙂 will definitely book with them again!

The first thing I want to say before my review is I highly recommend that you rent from these guys you wont regret it! Disclaimer: No Im not related to or previously friends with any one there.Now on to my review.......If you were like me looking for a rental car, and because of covid I found out that no rental cars were available or they were available but at unreasonable prices for the dates I needed.I decided to call beach car rentals after searching for cars and found that they had cars available so I booked it.The pickup was fast, very laid back Maui style so dont freak out if it isnt what you expected paperwork wise, trust me you will love it. Youll know what I mean when you do it lol. OK heres the pros and cons you were waiting for.Ill do the cons first.1- This is a small business so dont expect a huge air conditioned lobby and 50 counters not that you need them.2- if you dont know your way around Kahului the location isnt in a easy to locate area only IF you decide to go there. Also it may look like a bad area but its really not. They do offer free pickup and drop off so use them!3- The cars are not the latest or fanciest cars around and in fact you could call them well used, but everything worked that needed to especially the AC.OK that was the bad part now for the pro.1- The rental was very reasonable, and yes the cars were older but everything worked, and was clean! I couldnt ask for anything more.2- They were very responsive and answered any and all my questions I had quickly on all my contact with them from booking the car, while on Maui and the return process.3- As mentioned before the cars are older but very well taken care of and maintained. I got a 2013 Altima that had no issues.4- The best part is they could have raised their prices because of the car shortage but they didnt.In conclusion they were there when I needed a car, it was very reasonably priced, the service was great, and they are friendly, courteous and professional in every way.This is a small local company and I for one try to support local businesses. If you book with them and understand that and have no big rental car company expectations then congratulations! Youve found the best car rental secret on Maui so go and enjoy your vacation and hey! Relax!Remember dont let the small things bother you just let it go look where you are youre in Hawaii! And its probably 20x better than what you were doing. Aloha and Mahalo.
