Friendly customer service with great employees. They said to bring back passenger van with full tank but tank was only half tank, after we drove off we realized that we ALL forgot to do a look over for scratches and dents … Lia took pictures of everything. Didn’t realize that they close so early hehe but that’s on me. Lastly, they said to bring the van back cleaned out and Lia found a drive thru receipt and we never eat yet. Lia said to give 4 stars

If I could do 0 stars, I would. You may as well start walking to aces because not one shuttle in an hour came. We called the number on this website and they just hung up. Then we asked the taxi renters if they had a number we could call, still no answer. Finally we decided to just take a taxi to the rental and when we got there, no apologies just excuses. We got there right before they closed, otherwise I do not know what we would have done. They didn’t even reimburse us for the taxi we had to take to get to our rental car because the shuttle never showed (the very least they could have done). I’m writing this review because I do not want anyone else being put into this predicament. We will not be be renting here again and if you do not want to risk being stranded in Hawaii, I wouldn’t either.

I got picked up at the airport by Robert to get the our reserved car. Robert and other staff at Ace were extremely friend and helpful. Our experience at Ace was nothing but positive. I dropped off car after they had closed their office but Robert was kind enough to give me ride back to airport. I would definitely recommend Ace!!

Robert, better known as Bob, is super nice and chill. I called when we arrived at the Honolulu airport, and we were picked up in less than 10 minutes. The rental car lot was about a 5 minute drive, so no stress about traffic and getting back to the airport on time. Checking in was effortless. Sign/initial some paperwork, quick walk around the car, and we were out the door. Sheena was very polite. Thank you very much and maholo!

It was so easy, Robert picked us up from the airport. Everyone was very friendly, I also had to extend my rental for one more day and there was no problem. I will definitely will be getting a car from them in my next trip.

Booked our reservation with Ace Maui 8 months before our trip. Landed at the airport and called for them to pick us up, they told us the cancelled the reservation while we were flying as they no longer carry convertibles. Thanks for the advance notice.Id say the response below shows to the issue. You have my name and could easily look up my reservation and then reach out, but you ask the customer to email a general address to file a complaint.

Our rental experience went great. Someone came to pick us up from the airport and took us to the off-site rental location. The car treated us well and we had no problems at all. The employees were nothing but kind and helpful. The car was definitely the cheapest on the island when we visited and we feel like we got a great deal!

Horrible customer service, I received a dirty car (during covid) and the clicker to the car didn’t work well got stuck outside the car a couple times and when I came back to exchange it the woman at the front said she doesn’t see anything wrong with the car. I asked to speak to a manager three time and each time they said the manager will call me and I haven’t received one call . I would not recommend using this company !

Worst Car Rental Experience Ever!!!I will never rent a car from Ace Rent-a-Car against. It was the worst car rental experience I have every had. First, the was no shuttle to pick me up at the airport. I called their office in Maui, multiple times, no one ever answered. So, I took a taxi to the location to find that there was no one there to help me. Note that this was at approximately 3:30 on a Friday afternoon. There was one person at the location who was able to call the owner who came back in to get me the car. They basically had no idea that I had a reservation. So after waiting over two hours I was finally able to drive away in the rental car. The car itself, a Kia Optima, was good and met our needs. It was clean and smoke free, but there was a lot of stuff from previous renters in the glove box and console.Returning the car on Sunday was also an issue. When I arrived at the location I found that the agency was closed and they had the parking lot blocked off, so I had to leave the car at the entrance and dropped the key in the after-hours drop box. Again there was no shuttle service, so I had to take an Uber to the airport.I dont recommend that anyone use Ace Rent-a-Car located at 445 Kele St. Kahului, HI.

One star is even too much. We used Ace Car Rental at Kahalui in January 2020 and though there wasn’t a airport shuttle they picked us up at the airport they did in a car to go to the off airport location in Kahalui and gave us great service. Upon returning the car an agent drove us in the same car back to the airport to depart for the mainland.On the trip today we booked through Hotwire and eventually found it was again with Ace. Upon arrival in Kahalui we tried several times to call the local office to see how we were to get to the car rental office. No one answered for several tries. Finally someone called back and told us a driver in a van would ne to airport to pick us up. They did. We had prepaid for the car including the $11 per day for the insurances. BUT they still made us put a $300 “refundable” deposit in addition to having already paid the rental fee and insurance in full. The final kicker was that on Saturday, the day of departure our flight leaves at 10am. Well, they don’t open until 9am or after on Saturday’s so we are to drop the car off but find our own way to the airport! DO NOT USE ACE CAR RENTAL! From previous reviews it appears that Priceline and Hotwire and probably others book with you with ACE, so be very cautious. After good service last year we will for sure be certain we never use ACE CAR RENTAL again. Be aware!

We got the van and person on the phone was really helpful and I was able to get a great daily rate . After that the customer service became zero .We wanted to extend the rental for a week we were not able to even get someone on the phone .We called several branches to be put on hold and not even talk to anyone . With this company either know exactly what you want from first moment or just stick on the of the bigger names companies in the airport

I called a few days before arriving, they had my reservation and assured they would pick us up. I called when we got in early and they were right there to get us, they were hard to recognize it was a white large van but the name was on the back not on the sides, they parked where they said just couldnt notice them! They took us right to ACE which was right near the airport checked us in, no long waits, easy as could be! Car was in nice shape they upgraded us from a car to a little SUV. When we got there for our return they looked the car over and took us right to the airport in our car!! Very friendly people, we were early that time to and they accommodated us right away! Would use them again!

If I could rate a zero I would! We waited for a shuttle at the Maui airport for over an hour that never came! Come to find out they got all their cars repossessed and were shut down! We even got a confirmation email the day of our flight! They didn’t even have the decency to let their customers know so they could make other arrangements! Sham of a company!!

Great place! Just call when you deplane and they will pick you up in under ten mins! They took my credit card insurance so I didn’t need to buy theirs just bring proof of insurance! Small and new so you get the best pricing!

Make sure to put the correct pick up time.We left the default noon arriving but they close at 6pm. With a 8 pm arrival, no rental car available. Stick with the rental companies at the airport.

Service at the Maui airport (OGG) was exceptional. Vehicle was nearly new and spotless. We had an after hours return, dropping the keys in a lock box. The manager arranged for a Lyft ride back to the passenger terminal at no charge. Couldnt ask for more! This is a quality operation.

Reserved car - arrived in Kahului airport. No shuttle, they closed 530pm instead of 6pm. Had to pay $15 taxi to off-site location only to find them closed.Now stranded without a car god help....will never rent again
