Last month, I had Theresa make a pearl bracelet to match a necklace I have, its gorgeous. I have also had numerous repairs done by Theresa. I was handed down my great-grandmothers wedding ring when she passed away and the amazing staff helped me update the ring, while still maintaining its integrity. I cried when I saw it because they did such an amazing job! They kept me informed throughout the process, and the level of customer service was excellent!

I took my granddaughter in so she could look at the charms for her charm bracelet. She’s just 10 years old. The salesperson that helped us was wonderful. She showed my granddaughter the charms she admired, let her pick them up and look at them and was so very nice to help us without rushing. I appreciated the way she treated us!

Came in to get my fathers watch fixed and resized to fit me. The staff was so professional, courteous, and kind to me. They were able to resize it within 20 minutes for me, and installed a new battery for an extremely reasonable price. I would recommend this location to anyone asking in the Joliet area.

We had heirloom jewerly, and she ex exceptional, made us feel like family was very knowledgeable and provided us with some as well. What a wonderful jewelry store and what wonderful people! I walked in New Star Jewelers at 5 minutes till close. I apologized. They said no worries what can we do to help you. Now I wasnt there for any big ticket item, but they helped me choose a couple necklaces and even went so far as to assist me in clasping them. My fiancé and I recently went in for our wedding rings. Theresa was fantastic and helped us with some specialty touches. Even through the pandemic they kept us updated on the status of our rings. I got engaged in June and my fiancé thought my ring size was a smidge bigger than it actually was. My ring was purchased from New York and I was SO nervous to have it sized. A friend recommended Newstar Jewelers and they did an amazing job! They told me 7-10 days but it could be longer due to the holiday and my ring was ready in only 7 days! The jeweler came out to talk to me about my ring and the process to make sure I understood what they would have to do to resize my ring (I had to go down more than 2 sizes). Amazing & kind service and we will definitely be back when it’s time to purchase our wedding bands!

For my parents 50th wedding anniversary Newstar Jewelers did some beautiful, custom work for my mom to combine her and her mothers wedding rings. So, even though I do not live in the area, I selected Newstar to create a custom mount for a cameo I inherited. I met with the owner to discuss options and was pleased with the variety of choices and clear, non-pushy presentation. I am very pleased with the work and happy with the classic design carried out in quality material.

Every one was very nice and efficient. I would recommend them to anybody.

The inventory was great and they have been very accommodative with everything following the sale (sizing etc...). Very pleased with the service. I needed my new wedding rings edges smoothed out. No one would help because the ring is stainless steel. Not only did Newstar say they could, but did and the work is excellent. Ill definitely use them again as well as recommend them.

I was in Joliet and asked at the dentist office if there was a jeweler in the area that could service my watches. They recommended Newstar Jewelers. I was greeted and assisted immediately. They cleaned, changed batteries, and are keeping one watch to dry out the interior of the watch. They replaced a broken watch band. I was told that if there was ever any repair they couldnt do, they have specialists they can send watches and jewelry to. They gave me a printed claim check for the watch I left there. I also found 2 charms to add to my charm bracelet. They will add them to my bracelet when I return. I saw many beautiful pieces of jewelry that I would love to own and prices seemed reasonable. This truly feels like the hometown, full service jeweler it is. I will be going back with all my jewelry and watch needs. Highly recommend.

I heard about this place from a coworker and they had said they had a wonderful experience there and continued to shop there years after their initial purchase so I can them a chance. Newstar was extremely helpful from the start, they have very knowledgeable staff and good prices compared to the big box stores. I also really liked the idea of going to a Mom N Pop store instead of the national brands as the whole process felt very personal and I didn’t feel like I was another sale.

I needed an adjustment made on my wedding band, so I returned to where we originally purchased this so many years ago. I had an unpleasant experience with the assistant who waited on me. She would be better suited in a non-customer service role. However, when I picked-up the ring, I was greeted by a young lady (redhead) who has exceptional customer service skills. It is all about the front desk experience...staff it wisely.The craftsmanship of my ring was beyond perfect! It look like it did so many years ago (tears of joy).

I enjoy going to Newstar Jewelers because youre treated like family. Theresa the owner is a gem and her staff are equally wonderful. We recently lost our mom and I took her & dads jewelry in to be cleaned and to find out what we could do with thier most precious pieces.
