Great place to go if you want to focus on cardio, strength and weight training. Black House is good at focusing on the full body workout experience. Coaches are helpful and will always take their time to give advice if you seek it. During the last 10 years I have been going to the gym often by myself and that has demotivated me. After joining Black House I got the joy back in working out. I enjoy coming here to learn something new every time. My fitness progress has improved significantly since I joined!

I took my fitness journey to another level, I’ve been training at black house gym for over 3 months and the experience is phenomenal. I always worked out alone and did different workout programs for over 10 years and never had a coaching experience before. When you join black house you get that great coaching experience to help motivate and guide you throughout the workout. My overall fitness has improved with the help of the coaches pointing out techniques to help improve my form that I wasn’t ever aware of. All of the coaches are knowledgeable, friendly and the overall the environment is positive!

Joining Black House has been a great decision. As a 45-year-old dad with an athletic past, I needed a wake up call for my body and mind. Training at Black House has re-energized me. The coaches are great and I enjoy the focus on high intensity weightlifting and conditioning. If you are willing to Trust the Process and tackle challenging workouts, Black House is great fit.

Definitely next level fitness. I have been going to black house since it opened. Couldnt say enough good things about the gym. The workouts are fun and challenging. The coaches are caring, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend for all levels of fitness.

I walked into Black House a year ago for the free trial week, with no strength/CrossFit experience, and have never looked back. I was welcomed by educated and motivational coaches who helped build my initial strength, and continue to provide support and modifications whenever needed. In addition to the amazing workout programming, this place provides a community - it attracts like minded individuals who want to better their bodies and minds. I would recommend Black House to anyone looking for a positive addition to their lives. TRUST THE PROCESS!

I’ve been working out at Black House for a little over a year now and used to work out in a different crossfit gym where I felt my progress plateaued and I ended up shopping around for a new gym to call my home. My very first day at Black House, Jason told me to try the gym for a week and see if I liked his programming and if this was what I was looking for. No pressures to join, he wasn’t pushing me to sign up. He just wanted me to genuinely try it out... Not even a week later, I felt at home. The programming was exactly what I’ve been looking for. It’s a healthy balance between strength and conditioning. In only three months, my squat numbers, overhead strength and weightlifting numbers were exponentially higher. It’s not magic though... their programming is there and they don’t hide it, it’s in their IG. It’s the coaching, the coaches are very knowledgeable and ready to give you any scaling options whenever you have some difficulties for the day. Black House coaching is what separates them from the rest, they’ll give you all the tools you need to reach your goals as long as you hold yourself accountable on how hard you are also willing to work towards it.Finally, the community they’ve built created a second home for a lot of us to run to from everything else for an hour to focus on ourselves.

Amazing experience. Even if you come from classic crossfit I would definetly recommend to try as this is very special... Coach are super sharp in what they do and very supportive. Only one issue ... its addictive !!

Most welcoming + community-oriented gym I’ve been to across multiple states, regardless of who u r. Indiscrimanatory. Despite popular classes, coaches answer all ur qs and proactively provide assistance w/ ur form + general assistance. Good gym space. Would recommend to anyone. 4 real y’all

The coaches at Blackhouse are very welcoming to everyone who enters the gym. They take the time to get to know each individual in order to help them progress, no matter what their fitness level is. If you have an injury or need to modify any of the workouts they always accommodate. The message is very clear at Blackhouse, that they want to make each athlete better. The members at Blackhouse are very supportive of one another and I couldn’t ask for a better group of people and coaches to work out with!

Of all the CrossFit/strength and conditioning gyms you could choose from in the area, I highly recommend this community. The staff and coaches are top notch and you will find no better programming. Great gym if you are looking for a change in your static routine and an awesome drop in if you are visiting JC or Hoboken.Pro tip - bring an extra tank in the summer, it gets spicy 🔥

After taking a break from crossfit gyms for a while, I decided to try Black House. I felt immediately welcome by all of the staff and other members. The programming has me hitting PRs and I definitely notice my athletic performance getting better. I am extremely confident in all of the coaches and not once have I felt ignored which can be common in group/crossfit style settings. Check this place out. You won’t regret it.
