I would highly recommend this florist. They went above and beyond to ensure that the birthday arrangement I ordered for my daughters birthday was delivered to her. I asked for them to be delivered to her work in Jacksonville not knowing that she had left that job the day before. They called me right away and said they would have the arrangement wired to her home address the next day. When they were unable to find a local florist to deliver what I ordered, they drove over 40 miles one way to deliver them. My daughter sent me a photo of the arrangement and it is beautiful. I recently hired Deerwood Florist to create funeral flowers for a loved one. I live far away from Jacksonville, Florida, so I placed the order through my own floral shop. As a florist, I wanted these arrangements to equal the quality that I would create myself. Since a funeral service is sad and stressful, I didnt want to worry about flowers. When we arrived to sight of the flowers that Deerwood florist made for us, I was astounded. This is now the second time that I have recently used them for flowers.I’ve tried using some of those 1 800 flowers people and stuff like that but the quality is not always there. I just simply tell these folks how much I have to spend and they make wonderful arrangements.

I received an orchid arrangement today with 4 bare branches. It appears most of the blooms have fallen off. Not sure if this happened during transport or it was arranged this way. Really not what I expected from a florist. Wish I could post a pic. Update: I contacted Deerwood Florist by phone. They thought the orchid likely fell during transport. They dropped off 2 beautiful waterfall orchids to replace the orchids in the arrangement I received. I’m changing my 1 star review to 4 stars. I appreciate that they made the effort to make it right.

Absolutely spectacular! I went in without a clear idea of what I wanted, but walked out with a one of a kind creation. If theres a clear example of great customer service, this establishment sets the bar. Friendly from the moment you walk through the door, helped me find a floral arrangement that would create a one of a kind moment, and offered to carry my flowers to the car without me asking. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.

So, first grandchild and here from out of town. I just stopped at this place because it was on the way and I am so glad I did. People were so friendly and helpful. Bow was beautiful and flowers also they were working on.

I paid for the premium bouquet 13 roses and I received the standard bouquet 10 roses... $20 difference. I am very unsatisfied considering this bouquet was for my first anniversary.

Have always received amazing service and always received great flowers. Every event without fail they have came through for me. I always show up last minute and the owner never fails to make my need a top priority. Understanding this is a small local shop in a huge city so being a one time walk in this is amazing service. This is the reason I always return, very personal and willing to help.

Bert and his team did an amazing job on my bridal boquet and bouts, loved how they turned out! Only reason not 5 stars is because I think the service would have been better if I were not from out of town, email communication was sometimes slow or not at all until I would call, and the colors/bouquet was not what I had envisioned at first, but he communicated with me while making it and made the changes requested quickly so everything was great in the end, just a bit of bridal anxiety after seeing the first few photos! Overall would recommend and go back :)

My wife had surgery May 13th so of course I had flowers in the room waiting for her. Unfortunately, the hospital only had a flower vending machine. After swiping my card and having no luck with the machine I called the number for assistance. The gentleman indicates that there should be no charge to my account since I didn’t receive any flowers and the machine is working fine. So I try a different card and this time I receive flowers. After a few days BOTH charges cleared my bank account. I called the gentleman back and he said he would check the machine and get back with me. I waited a few days and heard nothing. Called again and he said he was heading to that hospital to have a look. Again I waited a couple of days with no response. Reached out to him again and he says that the machine did show the extra money and he would send me a check in the mail. He got my name and address. After a week or so without receiving the check I contacted him again, this time he said his secretary just put it in the mail....I get the USPS can be slow but it’s definitely not 3 weeks slow in the same city. I understand that things happen and machines malfunction but to blatantly lie to a customer regarding their money is 100% unacceptable. Word of advice, buy flowers from a more reputable florist that respects their clientele. This establishment is clearly out to make a dollar regardless of customer satisfaction.

Visited this florist today for the first time looking to consult with someone regarding bouquets, boutonnières, and corsages for my upcoming wedding... the sales person stated the consultant had just left at 3 - and that I would need an appointment... she further stated since she couldn’t stop what she was working on she couldn’t help me either... there is no reason this shop should have a walk-in store front... should state appointments only... very disappointing...

Another wonderful delivery to my wife at Jax Beach. She received her valentines bouquet at her work. The best part about Deerwood is that they add fun little touches to the flowers like a wicker basket, boat, and butterfly. Thanks for the great experience. If I had any recommendation to this company though, it would be to modernize a little and text notify the person requesting delivery when the flowers go out for delivery and when they get delivered....this would help alleviate worry.

2.15.2020- I ordered flowers for my gf on January 30th to be delivered on Valentine’s Day (this was our first V Day together). There was some kind of mishap with the delivery and she never received them at work. I followed up with Deerwood Florist today, and spoke with Tim the owner. Tim, apologized for the mistake and miscommunication on the delivery. Not only did he apologize but he made things MORE than right by sending her a beautiful orchid arrangement with which she is very pleased. Thank you, Tim and Deerwood Florist for making this right! I will be back for more business in the future.

Beautiful, decorated for Christmas, great service

I never shopped here and I never will. On 4/18/2019, I arrived at the kangaroo gas station and the pumps were all filled so I waited behind a lady in a red car so that I could pull up behind her. The driver of this florist decides to get in front of me almost ramming my truck just to get to the pump and I had my baby in the car. The owner was with her and thought it was funny and laughed the whole time. Me and the driver exchanged words either the manager not even trying to stop her driver. Tag number CES- S21

Sent mom some flowers for her birthday. They were far from the expectation. I understand some flowers need to be substituted, but the size did not meet the expectations. The picture of the flowers on the website didnt really match the flowers that were delivered. Color profile came out orange and the vase was an upgrade from clear to pink. It was more of a florists special rather than what I actually ordered. Really disappointed. I did, however, call the store to see where delivery was and their customer service was on point. I do hope that Deerwood Florist contacts me regarding my concerns.

Deerwood Florist worked out great. While hesitant to go after reading the reviews, I live in SS and needed flowers the day before Valentines. They were fully staffed, had many bouquets to choose from, and the customers in the store all seemed happy with the accuracy, and quality of their orders. The lilies opened up and looked/smelled amazing, I went back 2 weeks later for more because we enjoyed them very much.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! I ordered a floral arrangement for my Mother for her Christmas table, it looked nothing like to picture online. I originally thought they had sent the wrong arrangement so I called. I spoke to the owner, he was extremely rude, then he said I received the arrangement that I had paid for and there was nothing he could or would do for me. This is the first time in 25 years that my Mother did not have a fresh cut floral arrangement for her Christmas table.

I cant even begin to tell you how Bert at Deerwood Florist impacted the most important day of my life. He went above and beyond to create the most amazing magical wedding for us. From the ceremony to the reception and all of the little details he took on personally based on conversations we had about what my vision was. He made it all come to life and it was even bigger and better than I could have ever imagined! Out of my amazing experience working with Bert I also gained a precious friendship. He is awesome and has a true talent for his craft!

Unfortunately I got a very poor quality service for my order, as bad that my intended gift lost its total meaning. It is all about customer oriented service, I understand unforeseen circumstances get to happen but not a single call back to check with me, I had to call them twice trying to make sure my order will be delivered and even though it never got there on time. After that, zero follow up with me trying to figure it out or make it up for the inconvenience. Like I said, complete lack of customer oriented service.

Deerwood florist is the only florist I use. Whether it be my own wedding, my friends weddings or a last minute arrangement for a funeral they are always able to help and exceed my expectations every time. Their quality of work far exceeds the prices they have. I would highly recommend this florist for anything you may need.

I stopped in Saturday afternoon, Christmas Eve to buy flowers for my daughter who had just given birth. They were getting ready to close but put together a beautiful arrangement in about 10 minutes that was less than the price range I had given him. The florist took the time to identify each kind of flower he used. I really appreciated the personalised service especially on Christmas Eve.

I own Debbies Dance Company and have been using Deerwood Florists for the past 10 years and will again this year. They do an outstanding job. Only once have I had an order wrong and the professional and courteous staff resolved it in minutes and it was taken care of. With large orders of flowers on Recital day, you always worry but the flowers are beautiful and delivered on time. I have had bad florists in the past and will never deal with anyone else. I recommend all other Dance Studios to order their flowers from Deerwood Florist, you will never be disappointed again!!

I ordered an arrangement off their web site. What arrived had little resemblance to what I ordered. I called them and they nicely agreed to replace it the following day. What came was even worse than the first day. When confronted with the obvious difference between the advertised arrangement and the delivered one, my daughter was informed that our catalog doesnt match the pictures on our web site ?!?!?! They were nice about it and agreed to refund my money, but it sure seems like false advertising and they more or less acknowledged that.

I ordered roses a well in advance of Valentines Day 2017 for delivery 2 miles or so away from their location. Nothing arrived on V-day. My wife arrived at work the next day inquiring if anyone had the delivery and a coworker stated that the delivery guy had just dropped off the roses - a day late. Apparently he offered up a meek apology to the coworker and was on his way. As the paying customer, I never received an apology nor any effort at rectifying the situation. If you need flowers delivered on time Id strongly recommend that you look elsewhere.

Bert always does beautiful work. Prom flowers were lovely and complimented my daughters gown perfectly.

The flowers I ordered for my wife lasted over 10 days. They done an amazing job on them, very beautiful and the thorns were removed from the roses making it very comfortable for disposal when the time came. Price was very good, although delivery charges are pretty high.

Terrible I showed him a picture and asked him if they could make that same flower arrangement and it was very different from what I wanted. Another thing was that I paid for 24 Roses and they just putting 19. They made the first pic the second is that I wanted.

I decided to surprise someone with flowers late on a Friday afternoon. I usually use 1800 Flowers but Im always so disappointed with the arrangements. Theyve either shown up dead or you had to put together the arrangement yourself. Anyway I walked in and asked if a same day arrangement was possible and the employee stopped everything to help. She put together a beautiful arrangement of Stargazer Lillies and Babys Breath. The cost was great and I was in and out in about 15 mins. Ive also received some beautiful Tulips from them in the past year and Roses several years ago. Now that I know theyre local they will definitely have my business.

We ordered a Premium Arrangement to be delivered to my mom my parents 32nd Wedding Anniversary. What was delivered was totally not worth $65 and since we live near the shop we went up there and the customer service just said that they would fix it, we barely got an apology and they didnt seem to care that it was their fault just said Oh, I must of missed the premium part. Even the fixed arrangement was awful compared to the picture we picked from. Well never order from them again. I picked them specifically because they are a locally owned business and in my neighborhood. Next time well just go Kuhn and pay a little more.

I am the office manager for a local business and I order flowers for various reasons throughout the year. After years of substandard flower arrangements, I stumbled on this little gem. I have never been disapointed by any arrangement I have ever ordered from them and there have been many. I am happy to have finally found a flower company that meets my expectations.

I have a hard time giving any rating to this florist. My wife had to spend valentines day alone because of an illness in the family. I called Deerwood Florists two days in advance asking for a flower and balloon delivery. Not only did they not show up, but they charged my account. What ineptness and a complete disregard for their customers. No call, no follow-up; nothing. Please stay away from this florist if you value reliability.

Ordered from their website on Feb 6th for Valentines day to be delivered to my wifes work 2.2 miles away. Today feb 14th around 1 pm they had not been delivered so I called and was told that they will delivered by 3 pm. I advised that she was leaving at 330 pm.Called again at 4 was told they would check into it, at 430 they called my wife and she advised she had left, they asked if she wanted them delivered to the house and she said we live in middleburg. They declined. I called again and they offered to send a fresh bunch the next day! I have requested a refund, do you want to business with a company that cant fulfill an advanced order for delivery 2 miles away? I understand its your busiest day of the year but really? Thanks for ruining our valentines dayI just received my refund and they claim they are still delivering another set to my wife at her work so I am changing my review from one to 3 stars for their support.I had to change my review back to one star, never delivered the flowers they said would. These people are unbelievable, why would you tell me that and then not do it after you ruined our valentines day! stay away!!!

Wost Florist ever!! My husband ordered me flowers a month in advance for Valentines Day and they never showed up!!! The florist called my house around 8 p.m. to say there was a problem. My husband had called the florist all day to tell them he would come pick up the flowers if they could not deliver them on time. They turned their phone off and their voice mail was full. They told him on the phone they would upgrade my flowers and deliver them the next day first thing in the morning. They showed up around 3:45 p.m. and they were horrible. They were half dead and very ugly. Worst customer service ever! They didnt even seem to care that my flowers did not show up on Valentintes day !! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Purchased flowers from Teleflora which Deerwood florist delivered on Valentine’s Day already the arrangement was horrible and already had flowers wilting. The day after Valentines the roses are dying. Contacted Teleflora and they said they contracted Deerwood florist to make this arrangement and only refunded me 30% of $106. Not sure who to blame but the flowers came from Deerwood Florist.

My boyfriend ordered me a beautiful bouquet and less than 3 days later the roses were wilted. He went in person with the arrangement and the lady at the location argued with him and didnt let him explain the issue. Non-existent customer service. Needless to say, we will not be back.

My husband commissioned for me a beautiful and very expensive flower arrangement ($ 82) and instead I received flowers with a broken and withered stem, a damaged balloon, a poorly printed postcard and a box of chocolates poorly wrapped and marked with pen ink. Sorry but I would not recommend this trade to anyone. Dont throw your money away like my husband did. 😓😤 I dont give it less than a star because you cant.
