I went to this nail salon this afternoon (9/28/21) at 5:20p.m only needing a Full In and 3 nails replace and my daughter toes polished with gel polish. When I sat down in the young man chair I showed him the design I wanted and let him know I want the same shape and length, he said ok and started working. He cut all the nails off while cutting some of my real nails at this time he talking to 3 workers while trying to do my nails. When he put on the new set of nails he cut them but it still wasnt my desire length I asked him to cut them shorter, he said I will after I finish shaping them which I had to remind him again after, he cut my nails shorter but uneven with an attention. At that time the manager step in and took over which he ended up shaping them again which made then shorter then the length I wanted, the whole time he kept questioning me like Im lying, after I asked for my design which I never received he didnt know how to do anything, so I left 7:56p.m with just acrylic and clear polish on my nails and thats what I wanted at all, and my baby never received gel polish on her toes and they looked like a child done them for me to had paid $70.00 for my service. I will never recommend them to anyone they nasty and sorry workers!

I tried the place for the first time on 10/2. I wanted SNS and a pedicure. The SNS is very dull and the technician kept missing spots so the color is splotchy. My pedicure was okay, but when I looked at my toes, the lady painted all over my toes and didn’t get the polish off. If you’re used to having phenomenal service, this is just an average place

I got a full acrylic set and a super deluxe pedicure with gel on both. Nail color, 221 something blue. Toe nail color, 573 blue lavender. Alex was my tech for both and he was great! Sweet and thorough.

They did really well actually my nails 💅 I love them there amazing i recommend coming here😍🥰🤩

Everytime i come they welcome me.. there is only 2 girls that i let do my nails an feet.. they do fabulous work.. there hrs of closing time has changed to 7pm

The tech was very courteous and knew exactly what I wanted. The nail on one of my big toes is not fully developed. He made an acrylic nail that was so natural looking I almost forgot that it wasnt my very own.I will return for more services in the future and highly recommend River City Nails

Jenny did a great job. There was a little confusion on what I asked for but all in all it was a great experience. Best massage Ive ever gotten for my feet and legs. I asked about my total cost and I think I offended them. I didnt mean to at all.Great job and great salon.

Derrick is an awesome nail tech. Very pleasant and accommodating. My pedicure was SUPERB. However I do not remember his name. The massage chairs are off the chain!

They charged diffrent price for same service. When i asked about price it they got rude and mean.. i seen them do a horrible job on an elderly woman who had to fight for correction . Never going again

Beware! They up-charged me $30! I rarely go to a salon. I chose this one because it advertises a $25 pedicure. I had my 14 year old daughter with me, so I said she could have her nails done. We told them we just wanted basic polish on her nails, which was advertised as $15. I also asked for her eyebrows to be done, advertised for $8.At check out they said her nails were “Gel” which is an additional $15! While I was in my chair I was asked about gel polish. I am clueless and such things. I guess I should have asked “is there an extra charge for that?”, but I had already pointed to the $25 manicure on the card she handed me! So my bill was $78 instead of the 48 I was expecting! Never again!

Left town the next day and my nail chipped. Not to happy after leaving a $12 tip. It’s a very nice salon. However, it’s so busy that the quality isn’t as good as it should be. It’s about getting you through so they can get that next dollar but in a polite way. It’ll be awhile again since I go back. I have been going on n off since they built RiverCity and with any of the owners. It’s the same.

I wanted purple French tips but I think there was a language barrier. What I was given was just the normal French French tips

Im from NY. Since Ive been here I have tried other nail salons. This one is the best by far. I definitely recommend it.

I rarely write reviews but I initially called to check if there was a wait and they told me no. Once i got there, I waited half an hour to get a lady who did my nails and was absolutely so rude and kept rushing.. She globed on so much nail polish that it got all over my toes, and the staff is very rude and unprofessional. I am new to the area and was hoping to find a good nail salon I could keep coming back to, never coming here again. 10/10 DO NOT recommend.

I asked for this and got this I told her I had to go to work so even if I don’t like it I didn’t have time to change or fix it but I asked can she do gold in the marble design ….. as you see I look a mess she said this is how she freestyle my toes white gel total $101 🙅🏾‍♀️ Never again

Went to have my acrylic nails removed but left with my natural nails frail and torn after my nails were ripped off. I was never asked whether I would like a soak off and before I can indicate so, my nails are being taken off with a nail tip and months worth of growth goes out the window as my natural nails are ripped off. I instantly started bleeding and the woman taking care of my nails wants to act shock when I tell her that hurt. Terrible customer service, do not recommend.

I always go to Nancy she’s professional and overall amazing. She makes sure my nails are straight and cute to perfection! She also makes my nail ideas even cuter than the inspiration picture I bring in.

This place should be out of business, I set an appointment for 4:30 I get there and there doors are locked, and the place says opens till 7pm. Tried calling them back to back and no answer.when they finally answer they say oh they’re running out of staff I hate this place

JoAnn who works there does the best nails at the shop. She actually takes her time and make sure your nails are perfect. I have been to just about every nail technician there and they rush on your nails. The men are very rough (most). JoAnn does a great job and she is the reason this place get a five star instead of a one. SHE IS THE BEST TECHNICIAN!

This would be a no rating for me (-1) there prices are hidden, they overcharge you on everything.

Told the lady multiple times that my mom and I did not want gel since it is a lot to keep up with. She tried putting the gel on instead of regular polish and tried to argue with us that was not was not what we said. After that, she would not tell us what the total was until she gave us the receipt.

Not impressed. Tech was on phone during service.

I went yesterday and had a gel pedicure which was nice, but i got acrylics too and they came out bumpy thin and just bad. Unprofessional

I had acrylic nails put on 2 weeks ago wasnt quite happy and returned for fill in and reshaping. They look a whole lot better now.

Absolutely a joke. Charged my little sister 85$ for a set of acrylics with one cross design. I believe they took advantage of a 16 year old and over charged way overcharged .never again !!!

I got a French manicure and I noticed the white was completely different. I told the lady and she claimed my toe nail shape is different. After trying to convince her that it is way thinner on the right toe she finally decided to fix it. I also got my eyebrows waxed and it came out super thin and she trimmed the hairs wayyyy too short. Im not from Florida and decided to check out this place because of the reviews but never again.

Avoid this place it is horrible. I went in for a full set, they took me back for the pedicure which was fine but while I was drying the lady handed me the bill and I asked Am I not getting the full set? and then that made her mad and she rolled her eyes because she had forgotten that I was doing both. Then she couldnt understand that I wanted a french and pulled the manager over to talk to me because she was too busy. The manager took me back to do my manicure and wouldnt take no for an answer to pink and white for the french. He kept pushing pink and white and when I finally flat out told him that is not what I asked for he didnt even care about doing them anymore. I paid over 70 dollars for this trip. I went and got dinner later that night and then noticed that my right hand was matte and my left hand was glossy also that there where black dots on the tips. I couldnt go back the next day because I was out of town so I put clear coat on top and it worked. I called them today to ask if I could get a refund by chance and I got told no but that I could come back in and they could try and fix it. This place is not worth it at all.

They are friendly, reasonably priced and quick to greet and assess your needs.

My new favorite nail salon! Had been going somewhere else..but. The Upselling and unprofessionalism and change of Management..I had to leave..But I followed Tai here and am happy..He Always does a great job! I always get compliments on my nails!

David is my nail tech and hes honestly the best technician Ive had, he makes sure you get what you asked for and takes his time.

I got referred to this place from a friend because i was down in Florida for my birthday and wanted to get my nails done before I went out for the weekend. She told me to get them done by Joanne so i made an appointment and requested her. When I went in, I got a guy name Johnny. I asked for a dip manicure. When he first started he broke 2 of my nails. So I asked if he could file them coffin style to fix them. Cut them way shorter after I told him I wanted to keep them long He didnt file them correctly. He didnt push my cuticals back or clean up the sides of my nails as you are supposed to do. Dip normally lasts me about 4 weeks. Today marks a week and they are chipping. I have NEVER had dip chip before. Ive been getting dip manicures for over a year. He was insisting on putting gel on after I told him multiple times I do not like gel. Hence why I asked for dip. What does he do? Puts a finishing polish of GEL on top of dip nails. I wasnt going to say anything because it was my birthday and I felt bad until they started to chip. I called to explain what had happened and wanted to get them redone and I felt the person I spoke to was not understanding and pretty much told me they couldnt do anything. If you get your nails done no matter what type of gel, dip, acrylic etc. You should ALWAYS clean up the sides of your nail and push your cuticals back. I now have ingrown nails because of the way they were filed and hang nails because this was not done properly. Very dissapointed and unsatisfied. I would recommend going to a different nail salon.

I enjoyed my pedicure and SNS application. I love that the basic pedicure includes a massage with warm stones.

My nail tech was quick and accurate. He hasd so much patience as I kept changing my nail length and shape. Will definitely be a return customerChanged my opinion. Second time there, I had the worst experience. Bail tach was rude, kept leaving me to do someone’s eyebrows (“oh, you don’t mind”) and did a horrible job on my nails ! Too thick, too short and uneven. Will not go back !

Only problem I have is that the water isnt hot enough when getting a pedicure and the new chairs they have dont really massage all that good but other wise they get my feet right!!!

Almost missed out on this gem! I was in town and needed a full set ASAP. I was told about this place and decided to give it a try. When I walked in there was a lot of people sitting, so I assumed the wait was long and left. A gentleman came after me and informed me those people were finished and waiting on their remaining party to finish. I was told to come back as the wait wouldnt be long. He was right! I was in a chair getting serviced within a few minutes. Im real picky about my nails, but they did a great job! Will definitely return whenever Im in town.

I came to visit Jacksonville with my mom and we decided to go get our nails done. We got 2 very nice gentleman and we definitely recommend this place.

I will never go here again. We showed them on the card the pedicure we wanted and they still did the most expensive one and charged me. They also did not ask if I wanted regular polish or jel. They did the jel and charged me. So 2 pedicures and eyebrow was later $121.00. Ive been going here for years. NOT ANY MORE!!! I wouldnt mind but not when they are under handed like that.

Decided to try this place because of great reviews and I loved the atmosphere but within a week my SNS was peeling off, that has never happen, I lost an enitre nail. Just popped right off. So just ensure when you go you find the most popular nail tech vice just anyone.

Was disappointed in the service I received. Asked for a sns mani with snowflakes painted on a couple nails. The woman was nice but very slow. The snowflakes were not good. One of them just looks like a blob of paint. Cannot believe she let me walk out of there with that poor of quality nail “art.” The solid color nails actually looks fine but I had to come home and paint over the snowflakes myself because they were just embarrassing. I would have asked for them to be redone if I wasn’t already there for such a long time. Just paid and left. Submitted a review to the text they send you after you get service and heard nothing back. Will not return.

This is my 3rd and final time going to them they don’t listen to what you want. They want to do what they want as fast as they can. My cuticles where bleeding when Finished. Every nail is shaped different. The polish is TOO thick. They gather around an stare as the person is doing your nails. Talking about your nails.

It was good but I just didnt like the fact I had to pay extra to have my polish took off.

I recently moved here and tried another place twice. Both times the other place failed my expectations. I found this place after asking for a coworker for a recommendation. Cuong (I hope I spelled it correctly) helped me. He did a phenomenal job. I had acrylic nails with gel polish and a pedi with gel. He was quick and highly efficient. Every time I go in I will schedule with him. I would definitely recommend this place.

We were in town for a wedding. Walked in and requested pedi for my better half and eyebrow waxing for myself. Both of us were pleased with our services. I will recommend this place to the locals and any out-of-towners that may need services.

I thought it was going to be a long wait because it was so many people in there but i was seen in about 10 minutes. My pedicure was nice, my nails look good. The only reason i gave 4 stars is because the nail tech i had didn’t clean up my cuticles well & i felt like she was pressuring me to get something other than what i asked for. But those are minor things to me, i still had a good experience. But i would come back for service

I live in kenosha, I came down to Florida to visit my sister. I needed my nails fixed and came across River City Nails & Day Spa. They were very nice and kind, even when I felt I was being difficult, they were very patient and answered any questions I had. I am very pleased with this place. It was very clean and well kept inside as well. I highly recommend this place!
