I was going on vacation so I wanted to get gel polish on my toes since they always stay on and never chip. My usually place was booked so I went to Moda on Sunday 8/8/21. Stacey did my nails and they are amazing. Kim did my toes and right away, I knew she was not knowledgeable. Stacey had to remind her of missed steps in my pedicure. She kept asking me what color and I had to remind her of the # I chose and that it must be gel. Two days into my trip, the polish on my middle toe came completely off and its pealing on my other toes. I am completely embarrassed to be walking around with messed up nail polish. I didnt bring extra polish because Ive NEVER been in this situation before. When I get my nails done at my usually salon, my polish NEVER comes off, even when I try to purposefully remove it. I will write an update once I get back stateside and the problem have been rectified.

Everything about the experience was absolutely wonderful best pedicure I’ve ever had don’t extremely comfortable it was relaxing professional clean all of the above would recommend it to anybody

There are two nail technicians, and 2 pedicurist. Very little client to tech interaction due to a language barrier. The atmosphere is very still, quiet.

Ive been going for years and Ive never been disappointed. My nails are beautiful, the pedicure is wonderful. I highly recommend this place, its clean and the people that work there are very nice and courteous.

I loved this place everyone is very sweet but Julie my girl. After moving from up north was hard to find the one. Well found her. Detailed and perfectionist. Super creative n great at choosing color schemes.

Absolutely love this place! My normal nail salon had a 30-minute wait and I just couldnt wait that long so I tried this place on a fluke. I am so glad that I did because this is now my new nail salon. Customer service is awesome nails done by Julie, first time doing ombre I told her the color I was looking forward to match my spring vacation outfits and she picked out the exact color I was thinking of and looks great with my skin tone! If I could give this place 10 Stars I would! Love it going to bring all my friends here!

I am new to town and really was hoping this could be my new place as it’s convenient -lots of parking by Publix and just near my boyfriends gym, so he was able to drop me off before he went to workout. He wanted to treat me to my first pedi in Jacksonville. When I walked in they asked what I wanted to do and I said a gel pedicure & gel finger polish change. I was handed off to another lady who spoke no English and she handed me a menu of services and asked me to point to what I wanted while the pedicure bath was filling up so I looked at the different pedicure pricing options. I pointed to the deluxe pedicure as it was supposed to take 45 minutes according to the menu and I could be on time for my boyfriend to get out the gym in about an hour, or so I thought. The pedi water was cold because their hot water has stopped working so she went and filled kettles three times waiting for each one to heat up to get the water warm. By now 20 minutes had already passed, and the water still wasn’t really warm but something happened in the back and they finally got their hot water working. The actual pedicure itself was very relaxing with a nice scrub,hot stone massage and soak with paraffin wax. She finished the toenail polish and then asked me to move to the air dryer and I was confused, wondering if they had some weird new gel where are you air dried it before the UV light. I eventually called out and asked hey is this a gel manicure and they said oh no it is regular polish. I said I had asked for gel and they said they could change it but by this time my boyfriend was already waiting for me in his truck as the kettle debacle had taken the pedi into the 1hr 20 minute range instead of 45 min as planned and I declined their offer to fix my toes as I didn’t have time to do the whole new takeoff the polish reapply polish extravaganza. I was handed off to a different nail tech for my $25 polish change. She did an OK and hasty job it was a bit thick. By now my boyfriend was sitting with me in the salon as he was sick of being in the truck and during our conversation I was talking about how thirsty I was...I saw another client get offered water... and I later saw on other reviews that you are actually supposed to be offered water or other drinks but I was never offered any - even though the I know the nail tech who spoke more English heard me and my boyfriend talking about how thirsty we were. I did see them give a regular customer a water. Nor did I get the complementary neck massage that I’ve seen some other reviewer’s talk about with a hot towel. My boyfriend paid the $67 tab plus a $15 cash tip. The photo I have attached is the next day were the regular polish on my pinky toe is already wearing off. It could’ve been a better experience if the intake tech had communicated to the tech who didn’t speak in English what I had asked for when I walked in. It would’ve also been nice if they had discounted the pedicure. Honestly my salon in my smaller home town of Gainesville is much better with continuity of service in nail technician from when you arrive to when you leave, skilled polish application, as well as free beverages etc. I will continue my search for a nail salon.

I have been using this place for 4+ years now. They are on the other side of town but can not even consider going anywhere else. I have never had a nail brake and they can get a full done in about 35 minutes and there are no funky lines showing on your nail beds

RUN AWAY!Do you enjoy puffy nails?! If so, this is the place for you. My nails feel like they a half inch thick, it is ridiculous. I’ve never had gel nails be this bulky looking. I am having to go somewhere else to file down and fix my nails after paying $45 here. Save your money and go elsewhere! Nail Spa 2 down the road is so much better, they saved my friends nails! This place messed up my friends nails today by saying the color was going to get darker after a couple coats, which it didn’t. So they refused to fix her pepto looking nails after she had picked a mauve shade! Then the nail tech goes on to say the old bottle they used to color the samples was different than the new bottle. How is that our problem?! Don’t lie and say the shade will get darker with more coats. They need to fix their nail swatches and not layer the acrylic so thick. STAY AWAY!

I did a pedicure and they were phenomenal.

I went in for a gel refill, just trying it out and they took me in really quick and she did a great job shaping the acrylic but when it came time to paint, she just lumped the nail polish on giving it a bubbly look. The color I picked also looked nothing like the sample. I dont know how it went so wrong so fast but definitely not happy with the outcome.

Best salon service ever, and I’ve been to at least 50 salons in over a dozen states and countries. The outside belies the pleasant welcoming relaxing interior. Extremely clean pedicure stations. Wonderful selection of scented additions with deluxe pedicure. Great choice of colors. Best SNS manicure I ever had. Extremely happy with this salon. Julie is amazing, and my husband loves the pedicure he gets from Ashley, especially the hot stone leg massage!

This is by far the worst nail salon I have ever been to! I don’t think I ever expected a nail salon to be this bad. They completely messed up my and my friends nails. Apparently the color I picked out was changed by the manufacturer from a mauve to a bright pink. They didn’t update it on their sample nail color and when she started painting, we noticed the color was different and tried telling her and she completely ignored us. We even grabbed the sample color and compared as she was painting! When we asked her if she could fix it, she said no, she’s too busy. Had to go somewhere else to have it fixed! If you make a mistake you need to right your wrong! My friends nails are huge, thick, bubbly acrylics. What a complete nightmare!

This place is the best place! Tina is amazing! I went in around 6:30 on Labor Day I seen they were still open so I walked in expecting them to say they were no longer taking customers and they did so as I walked out to my car Tina came out and said that she would do my nails for me because she knew I wouldn’t have time Tuesday or Wednesday she let me come back in and she did my nails for me she didn’t rush she took her time and this is why I will always come to this place because the people are sweet and the service is great! They all have very kind hearts and I’m so happy I found a good nail place!

In my experience and opinion, this is one of the best nail salons in this area of Jacksonville. Regardless of whomever does your nails, they always look fresh, perfect, and clean. The acrylics never have that cheap, chunky look or feel, and they can do whatever design, nail art, or ombre look you want. Highly recommend.

I told the lady who was filing my nails I only wanted them shaped; simple box shape with rounded edges. Next thing I know, my long natural nails are filed all the way down to my skin. The gel isn’t hard and is already peeling off after 3 hours. Messy work, didn’t care about being precise. Definitely don’t recommend.

They usually do a good job, especially with eyebrows. Don’t bother making an appointment though, they’ll still have you wait another 20-30 mins.

I came here yesterday. Waited 25 minutes to get a filling and pedicure, didn’t have an appointment so it was fine. Took almost an hour and a half to do a filling. When it was done they totally dismissed me wanting a pedicure because they were busy and had appointments lol. So that sucked. Wish they would have told me so I didn’t have to go to 2 salons in a span of 2 days before I leave for vacation. Anyways, not even 24 hours later and my right pinky nail is broken. Absolutely not worth $35 and I’m glad that for some absurd reason they only accept cash tips and I didn’t have any cash tip, usually I’m an excellent tipper as I work for tips serving for a living. Won’t go back.Originally rated 2 stars but this cracked nail has me bitter so 1 star it is

Me, my daughter and niece went to Moda nail salon at first I thought that I would give a five star. However, I wished that I live and Jacksonville because soon as we got in GA my daughter nail started falling off. Her nails only last 3 days. I pay $108.00 for all three of us. They claim that they put gel nails on because it last longer and it cost $30 but she will start $25. Then I got my toes and hands done ( my hand a French manicure) and the suggestion that I get gel nails polish because it last longer and that cost more however, that a lie because my nails only last 8 days. Never go to Moda nail salon it a wasted of money.

Great and prompt service! I received the best French manicure ever. It was so neat and the lady paid attention to details so my nails still looked natural.

Extremely rude all around! I went for a pedi and full set and the women kept yancking my hand around and told me if I was not to like the length of my nail once she had already cut them she wouldnt cut them any shorter.. Youre suppose to satisfy your customers!! I continuously was given dirty looks by the 4 employees working. When I went to pay they did not even know how to work their own card machine, she was handing it to me and other customers asking for assistance saying she didnt know what to do SERVICE WAS AWFUL, not to mention my nails are TERRIBLE!

Ive been going here for two years, made an app, they called me and asked if I could come later so I would not have to wait. I still did.... whats the point having an appointment? They then had the nerve to charge me extra for two chipped nails???????? Never heard of that. Very poor service, not clean.

Im new to the area and was looking for the ultimate experience. After reading many horrifying and inconsistent reviews of other nail salons, I remembered Moda is just a mile from me and the bartender at Jerrys told me I must check it out.Not only do they offer wine and provide a quick massage after the service, but Helen was very nice, very consistent, and worked so well with acrylics. Ive had the nightmare acrylics where theres a hard angle to it or its just not straight with my finger, but she was wonderful. Im heading back in for a fill as its been about two weeks and Id recommend this spot to anyone!Also - they were busy but not so busy that we had to wait. I read so many places are awful with keeping appointments - this is definitely a spot to check out!
