I love this place, and not just because I live in the neighborhood. If and when I move, I will still drive her. Monique does a great job on my gel manicure, and shes so friendly. I was a walk in the first time I went here and they were so helpful and sweet (I was crying over a bad experience Id just had at another salon) that I kept going, but now I always make an appointment. I think they prefer appointments now that covid has cursed us with its presence, but they would probably try to work in a walk in. Theyre great!

Been patronizing this salon for over 15 years, except for 2020 during COVID. Have not been back since January 2020. Pros: Clean, sanitary and great acrylic and gel manis. Favorite tech is Jennifer. 5 Stars for the quality of service. Rate 2 stars for meaningless appointments. Appointments are too often overbooked. Cmon. Steve! More often than not, I have had to wait 30-45 minutes past my appointment. Great nail service, lousy appt booking . 3 star rating over all. Jenny runs a tight ship except for the overbooking. .

I found this place on Google when I wasnt able to make it to my normal guy, who is much farther away from me than Unique Nails. After one visit, I now go here for my nail services and have been very happy. Its much closer to my house and they are half the cost, so Im able to get more for my money without sacrificing quality. Win-win.

I got a Spa Mani and Pedi for the first time here and had a great experience. Everyone was friendly and VERY clean. They clean and wipe down the seats, tables, etc between each person and the technicians wash their hands constantly.My nails looked beautiful after as well. After not getting my nails done for months and going out west to hike mountains, my nails looked awful. I recommend this place!

Made an appointment for 6 pm. Sat in there 45 while other people entered after me and was serviced.Seemed like no one wanted to do my nails. I was being skipped over and didnt appreciate it. I made an appointment so I wouldnt have to deal with waiting

Nail technicians will tell you they charge for a soak off according to length which is fine, however I was charged $10 for a soak off on short nails which wasnt ok.

Went in for a pedicure after not visiting a salon in months due to COVID-19 restrictions. Felt very comfortable with the extra precautions put into place on top of their standard safety/hygiene measures... And as always, was treated to a relaxing service & have super cute toes. Thank you!

I made a 2:00 appointment and arrived at 2:00. No one was available to take me until 2:40. I had to leave by 3:00 for another obligation. I received a lousy 20 minute pedicure and they still charged me the full $27. Not good.

My sister and I went there for the first time. We asked for specific shapes, I wanted ballerina and we both got bulky nails. We had to keep telling them to make them smoother and a thinner shape. In the end both techs got upset with us, went back and forth and Increased price because my sisters nails were “too long”. Very unprofessional and didn’t say a word to us when we left.

They have grown so much, and they’re much stronger than they have been historically. Stopped in for pedicures whole we were in town. They did a pretty great job, nothing bad to say. I prefer to try somewhere at least twice before leaving 5 stars, but considering I live in another state and this was a great experience I made an exception.

Sigh of relief!!! I’ve finally found my nail salon home! I don’t mind the wait others mentioned although I have yet to experience it because I have the luxury of being able to go early on a weekday. I can be particular in what I like and they understand and explain things. Excellent communication. Top quality experience. My nails last longer here than anywhere else. I’m a nurse and constantly washing my hands. Over 3 weeks in. Perfection. No chip. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Truly the best nail salon in Jacksonville. I know the nail technicians by name. They greet me warmly every time I visit and do a phenomenal job! They are all very experienced and maintain a high quality work standard that keeps clients like me coming back. They make you feel important and talk to you about your day unlike other shops Ive been to that are very impersonal. Ive made the horrible mistake of going to other salons sometimes out of convenience and will never do it again. Loyal customer forever!

I have never been able to wear polish on my nails for more than a week tops. UNTIL I went to Unique! I am going on THREE weeks and my nails still look great. I got the gel polish and the tech did three coats. Most places do one and then clear. I was amazed Unique used so much, but I now know why - it lasts much longer. My nails are lengthening and hardening as well. Kudos to Unique!

Sophia was awesome! My nails turned out WONDERFULLY! I needed to soak off awful acrylics and a manicure to clean up what nails would be left. The only reason this review lost a star was the gentleman answering the phone to make appointments was less than friendly and the first nail technician set me in acetone and then took another client. If Sophia wasn’t so wonderful it would have lost a couple more stars...

Definitely the best nail salon Ive ever been to! Not only in Jacksonville, but of all places I have been to. The service is great, the place is lovely, and they can do nails phenomenally! I had a pedicure done on Valentines Day and its passed St. Patricks day and they arent chipped or anything!! Aside from my nails growing out, the polish has remained completely intact. I have a very heavy foot and hand so typically the polish only lasts two weeks, so I was astonished to see that even after a month they are still going strong! 10/10 would recommend!!

I would be tempted to do a 3.5 if it was an option - BUT my nail technician did a very good job and she worked as speedily as she could as I let her know I was trying to make it back on my lunch hour.This was my first time at the location and I called and made a lunch appointment at 11:00 am. I dont appreciate if these businesses offer appointments if they are not going to stick to the time. I arrived promptly at 11 am and I wasnt seen until 11:20. While I understand that 20 minutes isnt too terribly long when it comes to nail salons - I was trying to squeeze this into my 1 hour lunch break - and if I had started at 11 she would have finished in time for me to get back to work mmmmaayybbe 5 minutes late - but the additional 20 minutes over my appointment caused me to be 30 minutes late.The quality seems very nice though.

Great fast service even without an appointment. Very caring. They take the time to do the job well and do it right. We had only been in once when we returned several months later and they remembered us and assigned us tot he same staff members. Highly recommended.

The nail technicians here are absolutely wonderful, and I have gone here numerous times due to its location. However each time I wait way past the initial wait-time given, and the whole process usually takes 2+ hours. The last time I visited, I waited 20 minutes after my pedicure was finished for a seat to get my manicure (after being told it would be less than 5 min). This put me behind for my day and I had to leave without getting a manicure. Due to the lack of efficiency of this salon, I will not be returning.

They do an awesome job but dont bother making an appointment because they wont honor it. Get ready to wait 40+ minutes. I love getting my nails done there but will probably look for a different salon because Im tired of making an appointment just to have to wait.

Agree with other posts regarding not adhering to appointment times. However, i chose to wait and did so because I was happy with the work, location and the facility. However, educate yourself! I noticed a discoloration of my nails and brought it to the tech’s attention at several visits. I ultimately completely lost one nail and four others were partially detached. Educate yourself!

Very nice girls work here. Best quality manicure I have ever gotten. I get gel manicures regularly and they dont usually last the full 2 weeks but the manicure I got from here lasted past the 2 weeks. Only place i will go to now!

I paid for a pedicure the nail tech hardly clipped my nails and when I left my feet didnt look any different besides my nail polish color. Disappointing.

I love this place. I used to be so sceptic about getting any type of beauty service done in San Marco because its considered to be an area where things are a bit pricey. But even Unique Nails beats the prices of several nail salons in Jax. Theyre very professional, clean and friendly. They want to make sure you are satisfied with the services you choose. Ive been getting my nails done by Sophea. Shes awesome! I only get gel nail polish which lasts me 3-4 weeks and costs $30! Thats a deal in itself. Many places that I have been to charge more and the gel starts to chip within the week. I havent had that issue at all. I highly recommend this place. Also, if youre looking for a toenail polish change, they charge $11. Basically $41 for nearly a months worth of services!

Went there 3 times to get a pedi, he said sorry cant do you today booked up. You have over 6 women working and you cant fit me in when i have seen 4 people work spend 1.5 on each pairof feet and still take walk ins awww i was to BROWN MAYBE??? Let me know if brown girls are no welcome so i want waste my time and No other Brown Girls !!!!!!!!

I love this place! Jenny and the others are awesome. Ive been having Jenny do my gel manicures since I moved to Jacksonville and I wouldnt trade her for the world. She listened to exactly what I was trying to do with my nails (I was a severe nail biter and was wanting to no longer use acrylics). In the past, other salons would file down the nail so much and everytime I tried to go without acrylic nails but my nails were so thin that they would tear off. Jenny, on the other hand, listened. I have not worn acrylics now for almost 3 months. I can see and feel the thickness growing in.But the icing on the cake happened yesterday. My father-in-laws wedding was today. My daughter and her family was driving down from VA. I called and made an appt for me with Jenny and my daughter needed her nails done too. Our husbands decided it was time for pedis for them. Well, as it happens, my daughter and her family were running late, but Jenny and her team saw to it that we all got pedis and my daughter and I got our nails done. They even included my granddaughter (a two year old) and painted her fingernails and toes. They were awesome and ended up staying late for us. I cant sing thier praises enough! There is so much I can rave about this shop. They are professional, accommodating, very clean, they speak English very well (and know I am not the only one whos been frustrated by/with communication issues). I know that I will never go anywhere else!

They do not honor appointment time. Zero respect for customers time. Made an appointment, waited 30 min, only to be told that the nail tech will eat lunch and then come do my service. HORRIBLE Customer SERVICE !

Not happy came to the store 2 hours before they closed and they turned my wife away saying that they are too busy. Very bad business practice.
