Over 2 months of constantly calling and trying to work around their schedule. The one time someone came was a couple high school kids that didn’t do the job that was quoted months ago. Super nice, but not able to follow through or manage their schedule.

I had called to follow up on our previous visit. Had another appointment scheduled and the guy never showed up. I called Monday and he said he would come at 4pm. Never showed up. Obviously the company isn’t good.

Ricky was recommended by a friend after Florence. After being scammed by many I decided to call based the trust of a friend. Ricy showed up, was very polite and jovial. I appreciated his honesty and explanation of the problem. He fixed my AC and strange enough never billed me. Im grateful for the blessing and so thankful. I highly recommend Ricky. Called Ricky a little before 8 am because my AC went out the night before. Middle of July in Eastern NC is no joke! Ricky was very professional and made sure that everything worked the way it was supposed to! He didn’t try to rush thru the job he made sure everything was working right! Very knowledgeable and friendly as well! I am grateful for him and felt so bad for him as well. It was extremely hot in the house and the attic was worse!His prices were fair as well! Highly recommend! They were so nice and professional. I had to get my hvac systems replaced because of hurricane Florence damage and the insurance really didn’t cover much. I was able to replace my sets for a much more affordable price than I was quoted by other companies. It was nice to be given options instead of just top of the line units that the other companies were pushing me towards, especially when I have so many other repairs going on. I really felt like they went over and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

Ricky and his partner came out and did a fantastic job. They cleaned off the coils and adjusted the freon and system works great. I even set up a check for the heat in September. I will up for the spring also. Great job guys.

Fast, affordable and awesome customer service! My AC unit has been far from adequate and we have been dealing with it for a few years, just waiting for it to finally kick the bucket. Well it finally happened. Ricky and his crew was there the very next day and by that next evening I had a brand new AC unit blowing cool air into my house and just in time for the hottest month of the year.

We had them out to service our unit - had no issues prior to them coming out. Less than a week after they came out, our A/C was blowing lukewarm air - couldn’t get below 80’ in our house. We called Ricky - he said he was out of town but would be back that evening and he’d swing by. Never heard from him - left several messages and texted him...nothing. Finally, after buying two window units, we had Carolina Comfort & Air come out and they fixed the issue - of course, we had to pay a fee for the visit, which would have been covered if A&R would have come back out like he said they would. Very unprofessional to tell a client that you will come out to take a look and then never return their phone calls or texts.

I moved into my new home in Jacksonville and I wanted to get a new system installed in my house. Ricky installed my indoor and outdoor system and its still running great. He also put new ductwork for me which helped out even more. I find Ricky to be a hard worker and really cares about people. Thank You Ricky!

We had been struggling with our upstairs AC for over two weeks and were just miserable! A&R Heating and Air came on several different occasions to determine the cause of the issue then worked hard until the problem was resolved. They were very friendly, and I would highly recommend their services to any one in the Jacksonville/Sneads Ferry area!

Having a new born in our home we needed our heat working and sadly when we called a different company they quoted us for over $1500 because they said our main panel was completely broken and needed to be replaced. Obviously we didn’t have that kind of money to throw around so we put off getting our heat fixed but with North Carolina weather, that was just a bad idea. So we called A and R and Ricky came to the rescue!! He was not only friendly and enthusiastic about his work but also took his time to see that the real issue was something so small. He saved us literally over a thousand dollars and told us what the issues were so we could be well informed for the future. Absolutely recomend this company to ANYONE and EVERYONE in the Jacksonville area. Grade A service.

A & R Heating and Air really came through for us. From the start, Mr. Ricky Samuel walked us through the entire process of buying a new unit. Our old unit was 33 years old when it died. Ricky has been maintaining the unit for the last 10 years and did everything possible to help us save it. Finally it died and he helped us find a new 2.5 ton package unit. He installed it and replaced all of our duct work under the house. He did a thorough inspection while underneath and even discovered a water leak which he offered to fix. Hes an honest, dependable, super HVAC guy that will be maintaining our new GOODMAN HVAC unit for years to come. Thank you Mr. Ricky Samuel and your fine crew.

A&R has THE WORST customer service I’ve ever dealt with. If I could give 0 stars, I would.They came to diagnose my AC’s problem, said they were ordering the parts to fix it and that they’d call me when parts came in. Over a month later I still never heard anything so I called, and they had no record of ordering my parts and said they would figure out what happened and call me back that day. When I never heard from them, I tried calling and leaving voicemails and never heard back. It’s been about a month since then already and they refuse to answer or return my calls.

A & R immediately had a tech that could come out to repair our A/C. Young man was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Told us what was wrong, want need to be done, and an estimated cost of repairs. After obtaining parts, he was accompanied by Mr. Ricky who trouble shot both systems after repair was done, and we had A/C in no time. I highly recommend A&R for your HVAC repairs. Friendly, knowledgeable, and timely and super nice. Thank you so much for taking care of us here in Palo Alto. 10 Stars if it was available.

Ricky is an outstanding HVAC Technician with extensive knowledge on all systems. I talked with him and learned a lot in our last service he did on our system. Very good pricing and very quick to respond to our situation. Being Independence Day weekend, I was expecting to have to wait for an appointment possibly after the weekend. An hour after I called he was at my house fixing our issues. He met the whole family and quickly became a friend on top of our new go to HVAC Technician. Thank you Ricky. Today I had an appointment with A&R Heating and Cooling. Ricky and Jermane were the gentlemen who showed up to take care of us. My appointment was at 10 and they showed up well before that which was superb. Ricky and Jermane explained everything thoroughly that they had to do. They took care of our problems as if they were their own and we extremely appreciate that. They beyond exceeded our expections and they were super friendly! If we ever have problems with our unit again, Ricky and Jermane will be the ones who well call first!
